“Polls show 60% of voters will not vote for Bolsonaro in any circumstances in next year’s elections with voters furious at his chaotic handling of the Covid crisis.”
-despite whatever flowery words he’ll try to use to justify staging a coup, you just know what his utmost priority is and will be; consolidating and maintaining absolute power.
The Brazilian president, Jair Bolsonaro, and his allies could be preparing to mount a military coup in Brazil, according to an influential group of former presidents, prime ministers and leading public figures on the left.
An open letter claims rallies that Bolsonaro followers are staging on Tuesday represent a danger to democracy and amount to an insurrection modelled on Donald Trump supporters’ attack on the US Capitol on 6 January.
They assert the nationwide marches by Bolsonaro supporters against the supreme court and Congress, involving white supremacist groups, military police, and public officials at every level of government, are “stoking fears of a coup in the world’s third largest democracy”.

If he succeeds it is not only Brazilians that will suffer. We can wave goodbye to the Brazilian Amazon, the indigenous peoples therein, and any semblance of keeping the planet cool enough to prevent the worst of the climate crisis.
tumblr is literally the only good place to read pointless celebrity news because all of it's so anti-celebrity. like i found out james corden singing held up traffic via several consecutive posts about wanting to run him over
“Today, the genocide couldn't care less about all that. He wants power. You know what our education minister said? "There are too many people getting into college". Yeah, you read that right. But to Di Grassi, PT is a cancer who needs to be killed. But let me ask you something, why are people like him babbling that all the time? It's clear to me that the elite can't stand seeing poor people thrive. Our economy minister said once that "there are too many people in the airport travelling abroad" and decided to highlight that "maids' children" are able to travel. Oh my days, how shocking and disgusting is for lower class people to have access to privileges!”
[translation: September 7th, 199 years of our independence.
Brazil's bigger than a government, bigger than any person.
I'm proud to take our flag out to the world. But I'm ashamed of our politicians, populists, inconsistent, incompetents and corrupts.
I did voted for Bolsonaro. We needed to kill the cancer that was (is) PT - Worker's Party. But the chemotherapy had too many side effects.
Now it's time to end the chemo and stop the cancer from coming back.
We need competent people in charge. And not this irrational polarization.]
There is a LOT to develop from those two shitty tweets that made me hate this asshole more than I already do. So let's get this correct, right. Bolsonaro has been a deputy for THIRTY YEARS, right? Guess what he did all this time? Absolutely nothing but putting his kids under his wing and show off his racism, homophobia, misogyny and xenophobia. Everyone knew that. Absolutely everyone knew who he was and yet, whoever voted for him, kept that vote and elected this piece of shit of a man as our president.
We've lost half a MILLION people in the pandemic thanks to Bolsonaro's misrule. Our economy is in shambles. You know that in some regions, people are buying BONES to flavour their food because the meat is too expensive for them to buy anything? Do you know that some supermarkets are selling rice fragments because the rice is too expensive? Yeah, in the middle of a fucking pandemic, made much worst by his poor managements, we still have to deal with hunger.
But do you think the elite cares about all that? Do they suffer what hundreds of families are suffering? Nope. They can easily get into their millionaires houses - or even jets - and get away from all of this. So mister Di Grassi took his precious time on Twitter to ramble about how PT is bad. I'm not saying that they're flawless - because they aren't - but their first governments took our country away from the hunger map, it made us prosper. I was just a kid but I remember how the quality of life inside my house changed. My sister got into college twice because of ProUni. How many people didn't had access to college before that? How many kids could dream about getting into college to become a doctor, a lawyer or any other career path they always dreamt about?
Today, the genocide couldn't care less about all that. Oh my days, how shocking and disgusting is for lower class people to have access to privileges! Ew!
So Di Grassi didn't only elected Bolsonaro, he helped those two miserable dudes to get in the power as well. His vote cursed our nation to four years of delay, of 500,000 thousands lives lost to COVID, of our people suffering with hunger again and having less access to privileges we once had. I know that some people can separate "the art from the artist" but knowing and living all that I wrote here, it's hard for me to do that.
But yeah, PT is the real problem and cancer who needs to be ended. Sure.
That is the face of a man who loves space, F1 and football/soccer all at once! I'm in love with drawing Pierre’s features, eyes, hair and ears... everything - he is so very beautiful.
