Jumping Rope Challenge
26 posts
It's been a while since I started to jump in the jumping rope for 5 minutes. But I never managed to do it on a daily basis. So I decided to start this challenge. Wish me luck.

▶Don't stop me now! 🎬
▶ Laziness, I also call it lack of motivation, is a state where you don't feel like doing anything in particular or at all. It might be the result of fatigue, but usually it is just a bunch of excuses we find to tell ourselves. These excuses have different effects on our mind, one of them is to make oneself feel better in the moment when that person decides to give up on the activity. What is the problem then? The problem is that moments later he/she feels worse about not doing the activity and what is even worse is that that person can't do the activity anymore cause the time passed and there is more left.
So don't fear your laziness, just get to know it and identify it. This would be the first step into avoiding laziness. Don't give up the things you want to do, just do them and enjoy yourself doing that. Think about how much you like doing that. And after, maybe after you can have a relaxed moment aka a moment of laziness.
Keep going!

Day 16 ✔
▶Today I jumped 600 times. Yes! I felt like I get stronger and more resistant. That is why 500 times is not a challenge anymore, so I increased the number of jumps. Still sweaty as hell after the workout (if i can call this a workout) considering that outside is also really hot.
▶What is Motivation?
Motivation is a state of mind that comes from within us or from others. It is something that keeps us going when we feel down and/or tired. And it is important to find the trigger that keeps the motivation up and doesn't let us give up on wathever we are doing or we want to do. There also can be many triggers, but I think that it is important to determine the main one.
For me the main trigger is this blog. It is like a homework that I have to submit here everyday. So everytime I don't feel like jumping, I think of it and somehow I get myself up and I jump. 🏃
What's your motivational trigger ?!🙋
📷 As I travel I take many pictures. Few years ago, I was really into jumping pictures and I decided to keep it as a tradition. Here I jump in romanian mountains Fagaras. What a breathtaking memory! 🏞
Keep going!!!

And 600 times once again.
The weather in Montreal is more supportable , even coldish in the evenings so it gets pleasant to exercise outside.
There were still unexpected stops, but I kept going so can you!!!

Day 14 ✔
I took another step today! I jumped 600 times instead of 500. And it went really well! I felt like I could do more and I did it. I went once again outside, because I exercised in the evening.
Discovery of the day: apparently sport shoes are a good protection against the jumping rope slaps!!! Of course... I know, I am the mistress of the obviousness! 😅💪
Keep going!
...
I don't have pictures of me doing sports. This is why I post images from my archives that inspire me. This is a end of June sunset in Montreal Downtown.

Day 12 ✔
Maybe it's how I slept or maybe is my mood, but jumping the rope gets more and more natural. Of course, I still have the slight problem with starting. Although, the jump itself feels better and better. EASIER - is not the right word, because sometimes I still feel minor discomforts and chills especially when I begin the training. I keep going and I am happy about it. And you?
...
I took the picture during my last voyage in British Columbia. The place immortalized there is called Porto Cove. Breathtaking, don't you think?!

Day 10✔
Today I jumped once again 500 times. It felt good and still challenging for me. But I feel like I'm getting better. In order to keep myself motivated I read some benefits of jumping rope, as a reminder. The link that I found has only five benefits, but I am sure there are a lot more. Let's focus for now on these five. Have a nice read and jump afterward.
Keep going!

Music break!
"All right, I'm ready now readynow
I ain't gonna Iaintgonna fall back down now..."
Jumping without the timer is a lot more effective. I concentrate on the number of jumps. This way I might take a bit longer than 5 minutes, but I do 500 jumps (even more) .
Overall, it is easier to jump and I sweat less than at the start.
I keep going. And you?

Day 8 ✔
Today was the first time I jumped outside. I had a pleasant experience. The evening air was fresh and clear. The timer was no more needed. Instead, I measured every minute in number of jumps. So, considering my rhythm I was jumping one hundred times in approximately 1 minute. In total, I can say i jumped five hundred times today and I am proud of that. Despite all the stops, rope slaps and pains in my abdomen I kept going. Today's quote : Push yourself, because no one else is going to do that for you! - Unknown
Goodnight

Downtown Montreal you can find many places to see and to do. One of those places is Sainte Catherine Street near metro Berri-UQAM. During summer (and maybe winter too -idk) the street is decorated with these colored spheres ( yellow here) that create a rainbow effect. This is a celebration of our society's diversity and reminds us that together we are something beautiful. We just need to realize it and see it.

Day 7 ✔ - The Mind
Weekends are weird days to exercise. During weekends the pattern you held for 5 days breaks. This is why exercising becomes mentally hard. It is the thought of exercise that stops me from starting to do it. So, instead of thinking of exercising it was easier just to start exercising and voilà the training is over. I kept going this morning. You can do it as well!!! 😊
