ok now serious talk, i am certain that maxwell got a new model and its obvious by the comparison. (the face angles are also the same)

and the "new" model is missing his rose so its best to assume it was a last minute decision but it just might've been their best one to make. his face is slimmer and less unnecessarily angular. and his chin is way better. his eyebrows also changed as well every other proportion. new hairline too if you look at it.

i hope thet they keep this "new" model because its a LOT more like Maxwell.

My biggest problem when it comes to Maxwell skins is that they keep changing his hair colour and giving him facial hair whereas all characters keep their hair colour without that unnecessary change (some skins like the snowfallen are special).

it clicked with me yesternight now I'm pissed. if his next skin has grey hair or facial hair I'm going to start foaming blood

ETA: not having a consistent art style with him is one thing, changing his hairstyle and hair colour in quite literally every skin is another thing

Trying to save a life

A little update on my new "child" that I'm trying to help; I have discovered more horrors in his life, and the people I wished to collaborate with in saving him turned out to be abusers that are literally using him as a slave, so that idea has been scrapped.

He is also still starving - to a point that his body is consuming his own bones as nutrients so it's only a matter of time until his organs start failing. This is partly through poverty from only earning 50 cents per hour, so he literally can't afford enough / proper food, and partly due to an eating disorder.

On a happier note, I have finally gained the means to deliver money and goods to him - through his mail address. However, this is not always safe, so sadly I still need to wait for his "ok" before the first package can go, but it has been packed.

Your analysis don't miss! Has William done some horrible things as Maxwell? Of course, one would be insane to say he hasn't, but his story is one built on tragedy and desperation, Wagstaff's is built on apathy and always getting away with his actions. Maxwell spent what was around 15 real life years (who knows how many in the constant) suffering for his crimes, Wagstaff isn't even actually within the constant.

I have to mildly disagree because Maxwell is William, but William is not Maxwell.

Maxwell is a version of William that survived despite everything, lived through all the years that changed him for the worse. William died during the train crash and Maxwell was born, a sick metamorphosis melded by hands of fate and the shadows.

All traces of the man are destroyed, his face, his name, and even his connection to his own family is severed and taken away from him. The same family that he only wanted to visit but died before even meeting such a simple request.

And its probably for the best to leave him as a perfect ghost of the past; its easier to pity and mourn a young man and not the terrible, sick person he became.

But I do agree with the rest, I think its fair to think that its injustice how both Maxwell & Wagstaff worked with forces they did not understand, but Maxwell got the electric chair and padded room equivalent of don't starve for an eternity (or approximately 2 decades) while Wagstaff is free.

If anything, Wagstaff also earned from William/Maxwell's downward spiral. If it wasn't for all those events leading up to the final act and the camera recording, he would never get to know constant and the rest. Judging by his dialogues for Maxwell's statue and clockworks: he admits his admiration and desire to meet Maxwell and it was most certainly to take advantage of Maxwell's knowledge or power.

I do want Wagstaff to serve his karma but that won't be until the characters understand his motives. Maxwell brought pain and despair in the constant while Wagstaff is bringing that on earth. It is easier to hate and pick on someone you see everyday, someone who tortured you by proxy, someone that you saw do the things that they did.

Characters who were evicted before 1914 would be baffled that there was a great war and it ended by the time the rest of the cast was there. Let alone making them believe that the outside world is in worse hands and Wagstaff is actively working on the cause.

these two scenes are also parallels to each other.

one of those people chose the option to run away cowardly and act for their own benefit, the other is getting crushed without an option to do anything but accept their eventual ruin. even if you don't want to go in depth about their character or their dialogues (specifically Wagstaff,) this two scenes sets the differences between the two perfectly.

Wagstaff lived a life without consequences afterwards while William only suffered for the rest of his life.

Wagstaff is out there making heat seeking missiles with a god complex and a severe obsession with stealing from a literal god to perfect his war machines while William was just a schizophrenic who didn't pay taxes or whatever but we are still having the discussion of who is a worse person

william's face is very easy to get hang of, it is consistent of 3 lines: one defines his cheeks, the other his mouth and the other his chin. (its the same for side or any other profile, for side profile its mouth + chin + nose for some expressive emotions) the lines for his mouth change based on his expression, so its important to edit it if you are drawing him as a maniac or with eyes of a neglected hamster

the line used for the other side of his face is connected to his ear which is also the same as his neck. he has a very narrow and long neck as well his rest of his proportions

the key difference between william & maxwell is their eyes. aside from the stress lines, receding hairline, their attire, etc...: william has bigger eyes that are white. while maxwell's pupils are pure black and smaller, reflecting no light
