Week of 6/23 - 6/29
astrology forecast + collective tarot card for the week
Card for this week: 6 of Cups (reversed) - nostalgic moments may be cropping up but you’re ready to see them with clarity and stop romanticizing the past. any old emotions/scenarios you’ve been stuck with for a while are ready to be released. you’ve grown and learned from these experiences and you’re ready to move on!
Transits/Astro forecast: another heavily mercury influenced week! we have been really in the mind palace this summer! busy week too, lots of energy. literally a mercury transit every single day, wow! jupiter cazimi to remind us of our blessings and a cancer new moon to infuse all the Thinking with some feels and intuition. the big question remains, where are you headed? how can you help yourself get there? current retrogrades: just pluto.
monday 6/23 - sun square neptune - imaginative, creative, seeing More for yourself. be mindful of illusions slowing you down and keep up your protective boundaries. note the difference between self awareness and self criticism.
tuesday 6/24 - mercury square chiron, sun conjunct jupiter (jupiter cazimi)- a wonderfully lucky day! while you might be hitting some snags in communicating your soft spots, the energy is overwhelmingly positive today. you’re receiving a boost of optimism/self worth, new opportunities may be coming in that feel incredibly aligned with your ideal path.
wednesday 6/25 - new moon in cancer - full circle from the cancer full moon, a time for emotional renewal. given the various emotional pains we’ve felt and kept to ourselves over the months and years, where are we ready to forge a new path? intuition is sharp today, listen to it.
thursday 6/26 - mercury sextile uranus, sun sextile mars, mercury enters leo - thinking BIG today. expanding past the confines of what is. the road less traveled has made all the difference. lots of inspired action this week and that takes a turn for the unconventional today. mercury in leo inspires us to be the star of our own show, don’t hold back!
friday 6/27 - mercury trine saturn - locking in! learning goes sustainable. you’re working, learning, evolving for the long haul and you will see the payoffs.
saturday 6/28 - mercury trine neptune - looking past what’s practical today (after yesterday’s realism), what if you could have anything? intuition is fine tuned and you could see yourself in new situations beyond your wildest dreams. be cautious of that aforementioned nostalgia - be aware of potential deceptions.
sunday 6/29 - mercury opposite pluto - intense thought today. great for research/analysis, light and jovial conversations will not come as naturally. be wary of obsessive tendencies.
potential journal prompts:
thinking about the emotional experience of january’s cancer full moon on 1/13, where are you now? has anything from that time re-emerged?
how would the most empowered and confident version of yourself feel in a supportive and healthy partnership? i’m talking platonic, business, romantic, whichever resonates!
what scares you about starting a new inner journey? what are you protectively clinging to?
what’s a situation that keeps coming up for you that pushes your buttons? something that makes you angrier or more frustrated than anything else. what’s the underlying feeling there?
is there anything you’re perpetually envious of in others? in all likelihood, there is some aspect of that that you want for yourself. connect the dots on what those hidden desires may be.

Week of 6/9 - 6/15
astrology forecast + collective tarot card for the week
Card for this week: Temperance - weekly card from 12/9/24 (though reversed that week) - a strong inclination toward balance, patience, harmony. December’s temperance reversed card came at an intensely chaotic time (multiple retrogrades, gemini full moon, holidays etc) that was in need of rebalancing, and this week is like a checkpoint for that time. Something from that timeframe is ready to be alchemized (and you may have done this already!) - show gratitude for the journey, take a deep breath before responding, and pick your battles wisely.
Transits/Astro forecast: jupiter forward week! full moon in sagittarius and jupiter entering cancer - luck and abundance coming in! but tons of squares, so some potential for challenge/conflict as you meet these growth opportunities. growth tends to come along with challenges anyway, so par for the course. you will have to move through those aches to reap the rewards, but boundless rewards await. current retrogrades: just pluto.
monday 6/9 - mercury square saturn, venus square pluto, jupiter enters cancer, mercury square neptune - intense day! jupiter entering cancer - growth, nurturing, connection, especially in home/family/intimate inner world. jupiter is exalted in cancer, which brings us a much needed boost in these coming months. the rest of the day’s aspects are pretty heavy - potential for confusion, deception, difficulty in figuring out how you feel but still feeling very intensely, feeling generally restricted for the moment. anything that keeps you grounded will be your friend today.
tuesday 6/10 - mars trine chiron - following the chaos of yesterday’s squares, you’re inspired to take action to address what hurts. yesterday was more about aches and pains presenting as roadblocks, whereas today is about moving through those with intention. only way out is through!
wednesday 6/11 - full moon in sagittarius, mercury sextile venus - a full moon for expression, adventure, exploration. the weekly card, Temperance, is associated with sagittarius, so this brings a level of balance to your plans for expansion. ease in communicating relationship and creative desires. dream big, shoot for the stars, that whole lot. nothing is out of reach!
sunday 6/15 - mars square uranus, jupiter square saturn - bets are off today, anything could happen. profound need to shake free from The Way Things Are, even if you encounter setbacks. walking the sacred line between “what’s possible” and “what’s realistic”, as expansion requires a bit of both to be sustainable.
potential journal prompts:
is there a trip/vacation you’ve wanted to take for a while but keep delaying? where would you like to go? where do you feel a calling to visit?
What’s something spontaneous you can do this week? Without requiring much thought?
Keep an eye out for unexpected abundance + extra goodies coming your way and remember them when they happen!
thinking back to December - what still needs resolution or closure in your life in order to enter your next stage?

Week of 6/2 - 6/8
astrology forecast + collective tarot card for the week
Card for this week: Page of Pentacles (reversed) - caution and practicality this week. there might be some setbacks/delays ahead or confusion as to where you’re going. the path is unclear, so use this time to assess what’s working or not and re-strategize. you’re still figuring out where you’re going, why rush?
Transits/Astro forecast: venus enters taurus, lots of favorable mercury aspects continuing the theme after the super mercurial/gemini week last week, and the planetary migration to cancer begins (just mercury for now). we’re encouraged to think strategically about where we are and how we see and engage with the world. this year has been all about new cycles and unprecedented times (somehow, more than before) - how are those coming together for you? current retrogrades: just pluto.
wednesday 6/4 - venus sextile jupiter - loving, harmonious vibes in the ether today. great for socializing and connecting with others, art/creating, indulging in the finer things. enjoy!
thursday 6/5 - mercury sextile mars, venus enters taurus - not too different from yesterday - continuing to enjoy the finer things and take initiative to enjoy what we deeply want in life. connection engaged through genuinely grounded desires, awareness of yourself and your senses, cultivating sustainable joy.
friday 6/6 - mercury sextile chiron - really wrapping your head around those inner wounds and finding the words to express them. challenges and soft spots may arise, but you are able to meet them graciously.
sunday 6/8 - mercury conjunct jupiter, mercury enters cancer - with the last breaths of mercury and jupiter in gemini, new ideas, mental clarity, future goals/dreams/aspirations from the last few weeks are culminating. the shift to cancer brings some heightened intuition along with it, connecting your plans and ideas with your intimate inner world, seeing what resonates etc.

Saturn in Aries - The Scoop, Themes, Ins and Outs - Part 1
bravely beginning a saturn return series, as a natal aries saturn. i preface with the fact that i will be going through this for the first time as i’m writing, so take it all with a grain of salt. i’ve learned a lot from witnessing others/other astrologers discussing saturn returns, but experience is always the best teacher. we are absolutely going on a journey.
i made a playlist of songs that were popular the last time saturn was in aries to commemorate this saturn cycle. i will add to this playlist as songs come out during this saturn in aries transit!
https://open.spotify.com/embed/playlist/5SEwA2EAM4jbOxF0FaEcPU
What is a Saturn Return?
first off, a “return” is simply the time when a planet returns to the exact position in its orbit that it held when you were born. a classic example is a solar return - the sun returns to the exact position it held when you were born…. on your birthday. granted, there is slight variance each year since earth’s orbit around the sun isn’t exactly neatly 365 days, but your solar return will be within hours of your birthday each year. in the case of saturn return, saturn is “returning” to where it was exactly when you were born. the exact degree matters here - if your saturn is natally in a later degree, your exact return won’t be until much later. saturn simply entering the same sign is not officially The Return, but you’re likely going to feel that energy shift still. Like a preview of what will be coming - use it to prepare!!
What is Involved in a Saturn Return?
a focus on discipline, learning experiences, structures in your life
evaluating where you are, if your path needs to change, where you need to Go to Work (not necessarily professionally)
essentially becoming who 30-year-old you is
karmic lessons and fated events - don’t catastrophize, these are not always bad! and you can handle any difficult times that come your way
this next phase of life could mean new career, new home, new relationship with family/friends, some revised personal goals (depending on which house saturn falls in your chart) - let go of the old or be dragged
Some Saturn Return Thoughts:
if i were to guess, the astrological phenomenon that has people (who otherwise don’t engage much with astrology) shaking in their boots the most would be saturn return. there is a frenzy once the line between mid 20s and late 20s gets crossed - where are we heading? i heard it’s scary? and girl, in all honesty, it could be. that’s the thing with saturn! it really isn’t personal, as much as it might feel like it is. regardless of if you’ve been “good” or not, what will be will be. we get this very distorted image of karma in the west, as though there is some mighty invisible hand beating the ass of everyone who has “done you wrong” in some flavor (or vice versa). Instead, it is usually described more as your lot in this life - lessons to learn, experiences to have, lessons to teach others, so on. wonderful people fall on dire times and heinous individuals get exceptionally lucky at random all the time. it is a bit beyond each of our perceptions. make no mistake, we are often subject to the consequences of our own actions, but this is a grander narrative.
we have to stay true to our authentic path, whatever that may be, because it’s what we’re on this earth to do. straying from that path is going to result in some form of recalibration…. and that may feel like getting your ass beat. working extremely hard for a cause that you don’t particularly like AND doesn’t recognize you or appreciate your work? if you’re not careful, you’ll take that to mean that you weren’t good enough, rather than that you were in the wrong room. you will see where you belong and are valued, it just might not be in the kindest/gentlest way possible. but it’ll be real! you will have to interrogate your soft spots and address the root of why they hurt. core beliefs, baggage from others, societal conditioning - all of these create wounds that are holding you back from your authentic path. i am excited for saturn return because i’m looking forward to meaningfully using this time to redirect myself toward the channels that deserve my attention. i will never, at any point, promise to anyone that it will be easy. i’ll level with the audience - i love hard work when it’s getting me somewhere worthwhile.
The Tarot Angle:
to loop tarot in - saturn can be interpreted through a few cards: The Devil, The Star, and The World. saturn rules capricorn (associated with The Devil card) and aquarius (associated with The Star card), and The World card directly corresponds with the planet Saturn. to follow these lenses of viewing saturn- any matter pertaining to shadow work, restriction, attachments, confronting reality, baggage / hope, renewal, rebirth, inspiration, spirituality / completion, accomplishment, integration, lessons learned - will be saturn return territory. note how none of these are inherently miserable! we attach suffering to many of these, and they can be very difficult, but they redirect you to your authentic path. shine a light on your shadows and they’re no longer shadows! when you’re looking at reality for what it is, not what you wish it was, you’re able to build hope/faith and more optimistic lenses from a solid foundation. pretending things are different from how they actually are is not the same as faith. you’re able to end a cycle when you see what’s going on and learn from it.
Tarot Thoughts for Saturn Return:
embrace your shadows
be a realist, not a pessimist! through realism you can create optimism. the pessimistic view is not more likely to be correct.
always acknowledge the journey
recognize when you were the one who put the shackles on yourself
learn from your experiences, don’t cast them aside when they’re over
see setbacks as redirection
building a new neural pathway takes continual action - you will have to step out of your own chains likely several times
keep getting up when you’re knocked down, but always re-evaluate if something different is needed the next time
be mindful of when repetition is more of a comfort than a solution
Saturn in Aries Specifics:
saturn is in fall in aries. it is not especially comfortable here. the planet of constriction, diligence, methodical and structured action in the sign of explosive DO IT NOW HURRY UP…. yeah. saturn is most content in libra, capricorn, and aquarius - signs where decisions can be contemplated first and evaluated fully. aries is ready to move forward without too much deliberation. the first sign of the zodiac, ruled by mars, fiery and bold. someone had to do it, apparently. and it’s the cohort born between april 7th 1996 - june 8th 1998 (with a couple straggling saturn in aries babies through saturn going retrograde- october 26th 1998 - feb 28th 1999). allow for some variance depending on time zone/exact time of birth.
Saturn in Aries Themes (a non exhaustive list)-
authority issues
lack of mentorship
deep pull toward independence
needing to create their own path with no clue how to facilitate that
desire to be bold/courageous/a leader but it feels so out of reach
need to feel grown up before it’s chronologically time to be an adult
lots of ideas without discernment on which are worth going all in for
through this all, we’re starting a whole new cycle since april 1996! aries is the first sign of the zodiac, so this represents a whole new era. we will be going back (retrograde) to saturn in pisces from september 1st 2025-feb 13th 2026, then completely into saturn in aries from february 13th all the way until april 12th 2028. we’re not fully done with pisces yet, but we’ll be wrapping that business up. In preparation……an ins/out list:
In for Saturn in Aries:
STANDING ON BUSINESS
forging your own unique path
extreme honesty with yourself and others
realizing where authority belittled you when you were supposed to receive support
fighting against abuse of power
reclaiming your power
assessing creative blocks and breaking out of them
networking, especially developing a network in areas you “wish you belonged in”
BELIEVING IN YOURSELF
constructive critique NOT ABUSE OF POWER
Out for Saturn in Aries:
letting your shadows/shadow beliefs run the show
pondering too long without action
devaluing your knowledge just because you had to teach yourself
regarding traditional frameworks for success over your unique path
using spirituality to cloak your inaction
escapism
feeling like no one believed in you (you were probably asking the wrong people!)
BETRAYING YOURSELF
assuming that Suffering = The Work
staying somewhere you know you don’t belong (even if society deems this a useful place to stay or gives you reasons to stay there)

Week of 5/26 - 6/1
astrology forecast + collective tarot card for the week
Card for this week: Page of Cups (reversed) - weekly card from 8/26/24! as i called it last time- creative block o’clock. where can we invite more creativity and joy into our process? could we draw inspiration from our younger selves? before we had to “grow up” and “be serious”, what did you love doing? what happened to whimsy? why not do a little project that has no tangible reward besides fun and enjoyment! time spent doing things for fun/things you love is never time wasted. reconnect with the sense of joy that creativity intends to channel and it will really reconnect you to yourself this week.
Transits/Astro forecast: a very mercurial week! this week, we’re all The Thinker. new moon in gemini, lots of mercury transits (including mercury cazimi). as i mentioned with the weekly card, the energy calls you to let your imagination run wild. start as many projects as you can, see what sticks later. lean into your mind racing, don’t worry so much about the longevity or feasibility yet. current retrogrades: just pluto.
monday 5/26 - new moon in gemini, mercury sextile neptune - explore new ideas!! every possible way they might emerge. the more unconventional, the better.
tuesday 5/27 - mercury trine pluto - thinking deeply today. research mode! yesterday’s new moon probably brought a bunch of new ideas, perhaps today would be best spent exploring one/a few of those further. what skills would you like to hone? classes to audit? so on. if it interests you, it’s worth your time.
thursday 5/29 - sun conjunct mercury (mercury cazimi), venus conjunct chiron - a healing journey accompanies the various downloads we’ll be receiving from the universe today. mercury cazimi is already a magical time to receive information - heightened self awareness, strong thinking/communication skills, awareness of patterns and considerable ability to have revelations, but it’s even stronger with this week’s transits and sun/mercury both being in gemini for this union. perhaps this heightened ability to see and connect all of these facets of your life will help you to heal from past relational wounds or creative rejections. for each thing you lost or had to walk away from, there are infinitely more to be gained!
potential journal prompts:
go ahead and dust off the moodboard again (i last mentioned moodboarding for the taurus new moon, but i think with the gemini new moon, it’ll be just as relevant). represent things as non linear-ly as possible. create concepts you can’t explain.
on the other hand, allow yourself to journal in a brain dump format. everything you’re thinking, no coherent flow, just let it all out. pen to paper. don’t judge the thoughts, just put them out into the world! for those familiar with the book “The Artist’s Way”, think Morning Pages. if you’re feeling wild - start a voice recording on your phone/whatever tech on hand and just talk indefinitely. see what you say!
if you absolutely need a guiding question - what’s a source of inspiration/creative outlet in your life that you had to put aside for practical reasons? things like the elective class you loved in college that had nothing to do with your major, the hobbies you had to de-prioritize for school/work/etc. what did it serve you and how can you reconnect with it?

Week of 5/19 - 5/25
astrology forecast + collective tarot card for the week
Card for this week: Justice - weekly card from 1/20/25! that week, i wrote about truth/balance/fairness vibe checking us after a pretty emotionally turbulent start to the year. the prolonged mars in cancer/retrograde met the cancer full moon back then and our buttons were pushed. this time, you have another opportunity to lean into those soft spots that might be resurfacing. if you're still out of alignment with yourself and your community, struggling with taking accountability or holding others accountable, you may continue recalibrating this week. once again- honest truths are inescapable, no point in running! i can’t help but wonder what sort of justice might be coming to the forefront politically since this card last came up for inauguration week…….
Transits/Astro forecast: big vibe shift this week. generational vibe shift. continuing the progression of all outer planets changing signs, we have saturn entering aries as gemini season kicks off. several mercury and saturn transits this week - themes of accountability amid the new perspectives/vibe resets. pointing to this week’s Justice card for guidance - if you’ve been honest with yourself and moving with respect and transparency, you’ll start reaping those rewards, but if you’ve been moving deceptively, you might face some redirection. current retrogrades: just pluto.
tuesday 5/20 - sun enters gemini, sun sextile saturn - a time for intellectual pursuits and strong work ethics! exploring the tangents, any and all interesting topics, manifesting your deepest desires and putting in the work to get there. the influence of saturn helps keeps our multiple thought streams a bit more organized, so let the ideas flow! get curious, cultivate your social networks, and be present with your community! happy birthday geminis! this will be a really powerful gemini season, just looking at the transits to come. many will be looking to your for guidance these next several weeks!
thursday 5/22 - venus trine mars, sun sextile neptune - very social day! natural charisma flows effortlessly. you’re creatively in tune and want to share this with others and engage with their creative pursuits as well. get out and network today!
saturday 5/24 - sun trine pluto, mercury conjunct uranus, saturn enters aries - wowowow. exploring the depths of self/desires for self-transformation, a natural inclination to the out-of-the-ordinary/unusual forms of self-expression + desire for new ways to present yourself, and a high value put on working hard for your own individual motivations. not to the exclusion of your community, more so to challenge you to check if you’re fulfilling your most aligned role within the grander community. not every job is for everyone! you won’t serve the collective by pretending to like something you hate. happy saturn return, fellow aries saturns - many of us won’t have this saturn return going exact until much later (perhaps a year or two from now), but the early themes we’ll be exploring in saturn return should be appearing now.
sunday 5/25 - mercury enters gemini, mercury sextile saturn - at the intersection of quick yet methodical wit today. heightened ability to problem solve, communicate with others, engage in complex thought and entertain all options, yet align yourself most with the most sustainable and structurally-sound of the options presented.

AUTOBIOGRAPHY IN FIVE SHORT CHAPTERS - PORTIA NELSON I. I walk down the street. There is a deep hole in the sidewalk. I fall in. I am lost … I am hopeless. It isn't my fault. It takes forever to find a way out. II. I walk down the same street. There is a deep hole in the sidewalk. I pretend I don't see it. I fall in again. I can't believe I'm in the same place. But it isn't my fault. It still takes a long time to get out. III. I walk down the same street. There is a deep hole in the sidewalk. I see it is there. I still fall in … it’s a habit. My eyes are open. I know where I am. It is my fault. I get out immediately. IV. I walk down the same street. There is a deep hole in the sidewalk. I walk around it. V. I walk down another street.

Week of 5/12 - 5/18
astrology forecast + collective tarot card for the week
Card for this week: 6 of Wands (reversed) - weekly card from 11/18/24 (upright) and 12/16/24 (reversed)! at that time, pluto was just entering aquarius, sag season was beginning, lots of retrograde energy in the air. i told a story of letting yourself be seen and recognized, culminating with reflections on where you need to recognize and celebrate yourself internally. i’m thinking of this week as a checkpoint there, what do you now need to recognize and appreciate about yourself the most? is there anywhere you still feel shadowy and undervalued?
Transits/Astro forecast: seemingly very plutonian week! scorpio full moon, pluto transits, weekly card calling back to pluto moving into aquarius. there’s a pull to cast light on your shadows - after all, once they hit light, they’re no longer shadows. funny enough, venus retrograde shadow period also finally ends this weekend, further helping to “illuminate the shadows”, as mentioned. a bit on the nose. current retrogrades: just pluto.
monday 5/12 - full moon in scorpio, mercury square pluto - deeeeep in thought today. lots of old emotions up for appraisal, conversations on where you might feel the need to hide or withdraw for emotional safety, confronting power dynamics and hidden truths you might be putting off acknowledging for your own comfort. get curious so you can lighten the load, most of this does not need to come with you any further.
saturday 5/17 - sun conjunct uranus, mercury square mars - unexpected change, out of the box thinking, keeping an open mind to new experiences - mixed with a bit of a short mental fuse, feeling rushed/unsettled. when expecting the unexpected, you’re in need of a deep breath and a reminder to take your time and think through things before acting. if absurdities emerge today, remember you can explore slowly. spontaneity does not require urgency.
sunday 5/18 - jupiter sextile chiron - there is spiritual wisdom to be gained from the hardships you’re reviewing now. the old stuff you’ve endured might even remind you how protected and resilient you are. you have a renewed ability to free yourself from the limitations of your old wounds, lean in.
potential journal prompts:
which parts of yourself have you kept hidden away that no longer feel comfortable being hidden? which parts of yourself are you uncomfortable celebrating/being seen for?
can you admit to yourself where you’ve felt abandoned or undervalued in past relationships? getting it out in the open can help you to realize you don’t have to be so ashamed. you did the best you could with what you knew at the time, but to stop the cycle, you have to be aware of the cycle.
in reviewing old emotional wounds, what’s something you’re finally ready to let go of? in the least self-pitying/self-blaming way, where have you been keeping yourself from experiencing joy and connection and what needs to be released for you to start engaging again?

Week of 5/5 - 5/11
astrology forecast + collective tarot card for the week
Card for this week: 10 of Swords - endings, closure, finality to some big chapter in your life. there is likely some grieving or mourning to this ending you’re facing, but allowing yourself to feel those feelings will let you begin anew in something that actually serves you best! this is not always a new ending you’re confronting - it’s more than likely many of you will still be needing closure from a past betrayal, hardship, sudden ending, so on. notice where you might be feeling sorry for yourself. take the time to grieve the things you’ve lost so you can pick yourself back up and meaningfully enter whichever new realm calls to you.
Transits/Astro forecast: continuing to explore the depths. pluto freshly retrograde, mercury entering stable/steadfast taurus right after contacting jupiter and chiron. you’re compiling and communicating whichever aches and pains have been hiding below the surface, as recovery requires you to state the situation at hand. you’ll be able to power through, but first you’ll have to see it. that perpetual venus/north node/saturn conjunction in pisces is finally broken up after quite a few weeks of poking relational wounds - take inventory of what you’ve learned so far this year in your emotional life. jupiter is also loosely squaring the north/south nodes this week, notice where you might be blocking your own blessings. notice where you count yourself out unnecessarily. current retrogrades: just pluto.
monday 5/5 - mercury sextile jupiter - expand your mind today! get curious, explore, express yourself, try new things, see the world. you never know what a new perspective can offer you.
tuesday 5/6 - venus sextile pluto, mercury conjunct chiron - in those inner depths today. the 3rd of 3 times we’ve had venus sextile pluto, thanks to venus retrograde - some closure on this transformative cycle we’ve been in since ~february. you’re digging into the spiritual, esoteric, unseen parts of yourself, your tastes, desires, so on. part of this is also noticing where you’re sensitive or where you’ve been hurt in the past, pertaining to vulnerable feelings or sharing pieces of yourself with someone who might not have been receptive. if you taught yourself to hide these parts of yourself, you’ll become aware of how unsustainable this is. being authentic is the only way.
saturday 5/10 - mercury enters taurus - time to ground ourselves! build sustainable interpersonal/communicative practices, stand in our truths, say what you mean/mean what you say, so on. mercury in taurus is deliberate, determined, grounded in the body/physical experience, driven by trustworthiness. take your time and really think through your next steps. notice where you might be just repeating a familiar pattern that isn’t serving you vs maintaining consistency in a healthy way. interrogate why you respond the way you do and if you’re holding yourself back for any reasons - think of what might’ve come up earlier this week to guide you.

Card for this week: King of Pentacles - weekly card from 3/3/25 - way back at the beginning of venus retrograde! before the tumult of the last several weeks really set in, i wrote about building a solid foundation for yourself. while the world goes to chaos, you can still make space for practicality. what's working/not working/needs some work? on the other end of retrograde/eclipse season, make note of your tangible progress. take inventory - lots has changed! notice where you grew! as i said then, lean on yourself this week - you know a lot more about follow through and building sustainable habits for yourself than you might be giving yourself credit for.
Transits/Astro forecast: venus re-enters aries after the retrograde, venus immediately contacts neptune, mars retrograde shadow ends, pluto goes retrograde - a bit of a push/pull between pressing forward and going back/seeking clarity. growth and healing, after all, are not linear! continue to find where you draw the line. sometimes it requires a revisit to understand why you can't go back. current retrogrades: just pluto!
wednesday 4/30 - venus enters aries - retrograde is over and venus is boldly back into aries flavored romance/tastes/sensibilities. after the dip back into pisces, we're boldly stating our intentions. this is what i want and i deserve it! speak your mind! passion!! start this new chapter as a token of appreciation toward yourself for everything you shook free from.
friday 5/2 - venus conjunct neptune - a romantic energy in the air! after the relationship turbulence of this spring, you've entered a new chapter. this transit is generally prime for daydreaming and idealizing, but this conjunction happening right around the first degree of aries inspires a bit more action and rebirth than usual. try to be spontaneous, not reckless! do what you can to see things for how they are, not how you hoped they would be.
sunday 5/4 - pluto stations retrograde - pluto last stationed retrograde 5/2/24, perhaps similar reflection topics are emerging. what have you released since last may? this is a period of slow and deep transformation, longer term than the retrogrades we had earlier this year. examine what's below the surface! shadow beliefs/underlying and generally unacknowledged feelings or motivations, so on. deepest fears type shit. what's under there? what might you need to look back over to fully transform in your life? consider any goals that require slow and sustained commitment and a true honesty with yourself.

Week of 4/21 - 4/27
astrology forecast + collective tarot card for the week
Card for this week: 7 of Pentacles (reversed) - this is a week for re-evaluating longer term plans or recognizing that plans aren't working out as you had hoped. be smart, don't continue to spend time/energy somewhere it won't pay off. are you still aligned with whatever you've been working toward?
Transits/Astro forecast: venus/pluto forward week - pondering what needs to be transformed in your creative/romantic life and pursuits. a general vibe check in the air. notably- the final of the 3 mars opposite pluto transits i began talking about last november..... anyway. no current retrogrades, mercury retrograde shadow period ends this weekend, still some leftover mars and venus retrograde shadow to go, but nothing compared to the last weeks/months. enjoy this clarity and relative chill! relative being the operative word, still lots of room for transformation and revelation.
wednesday 4/23 - sun square pluto - continuing the theme of introspection, what sort of fears/anxieties are holding you back? are there deeply held beliefs that you need to confront? you can transform today by facing these things you've been avoiding. they likely aren't as daunting as you expected.
thursday 4/24 - venus conjunct saturn (+ loosely conjunct north node all week) - romantic pragmatist role call. boundaries can be romantic! notice the difference between isolation and self-preservation on the topic of boundaries. in the current state of affairs, do you find your relationships (or the relationships you typically pursue) to be aligned with your values? aligned with your sense of self and who you hope to show up in the world as? encouraging you to regularly show up and be vulnerable without going beyond your capacity?
saturday 4/26 - mars opposite pluto - an intense vibe today. passionate desires, tendencies to go a bit over the top - be sure to ground yourself whenever possible. channel any angers or frustrations into problem solving/motivating yourself toward a solution. use the energy to fuel motivation, rather than frazzling yourself or arguing. choose your company wisely!
this is the 3rd of the 3 times we've recently had this transit - i spoke at length about it back on Nov 3rd 2024 and again on Jan 2nd 2025. november was the last time we'd have mars opposite pluto on the cancer/capricorn axis (pertaining to family/traditional structures/work - which we'd been having since 2008). then in january, it was the first time we'd have it on the leo/aquarius axis (where we'll have it periodically until 2045), but this second time was while mars was in retrograde, thus headed immediately back to cancer. now that mars is direct and back to leo, we're now fully stepping into this new revelatory energy that we've been cautiously approaching - having to do with the realms of individuality, creativity, where you fit in community-wise, how you want to express yourself, so on.
sunday 4/27 - new moon in taurus - planting seeds + embracing new routines that bring some stability to your life! after all the recent upheaval, there's a desire to ground yourself and build a life that's comfortable and enduring. you may have struggled with this before, but you can take steps toward it now! on the heels of yesterday's mars/pluto transit- it's the perfect energy to moodboard/dream/fantasize about your earthly hopes and desires. anything from room decor/wardrobe to meal prep to relationships with your community & surroundings. new era! redefine yourself!
potential journal prompts-
Where might you want to change course? In the least self-critical way possible: where might you be finding your efforts are just not having the desired impact?
Literally just want you moodboarding/vision boarding in some format. represent some facet of your life with pictures
How can you maintain boundaries when in community with others? How can you extend yourself generously without wearing yourself out to the point of depletion?
Related to the above- If you've never been able to articulate your boundaries in these moments, perhaps now is the time to learn your boundaries so you can maintain them! Reflect on your typical patterns, when things exhaust you, when things trigger you, so on
Do you see boundaries as a way to take care of yourself or as a way to keep others out so you don't have to actually navigate the complexities of relationship?

Week of 4/14 - 4/20
astrology forecast + collective tarot card for the week
Card for this week: 9 of Wands - a card of resilience, persevering through hardship, seeing difficult things through, so on. you've been sufficiently tested the last several weeks (or longer) and you're being asked to continue this resilience and believe that something better will be on the other side for you. you're exhausted but know you can have what you're striving for!
Transits/Astro forecast: every week, we're coming back to life more and more. retrogrades fully over, mars leaving cancer after several months, taurus season beginning. there's a lot of aries energy in the air still, but we're stabilizing considerably. a good week for re-centering, taking action, and treating yourself.
wednesday 4/16 - mercury re-enters aries, mercury conjunct neptune - fiery day! the vibes are blunt, direct, honest, yet spiritually in tune. you're tapped in. truth telling can be spiritual!! be cautious of distortions or hasty/angry illusions today, things may feel confusing or biased in nature, remember to take a step back and evaluate the material you're given.
thursday 4/17 - mars enters leo - FINALLY.... mars retrograde started back on 12/6 and went back into cancer on 1/6. we've had mars in cancer almost continually since last fall before the retrograde began. this has been difficult..... mars is in fall in cancer! then we added on a retrograde! i wrote back in september about mars in cancer feeling very passive, sluggish at times, often letting conflicts bubble over before addressing them. retrograde energy only amplified that. it's been just generally hard to activate, push forward, spring into action. but we're finally shaking out of that!
saturday 4/19 - sun enters taurus, mars trine neptune - creativity, charm, utilizing the senses and appreciating the finer things! taurus season! every year, i kick off taurus season by baking a banana bread. early on, it was entirely accidental and eventually, i realized i kept having the desire to bake banana bread as taurus season rolled in. taurus season demands the luxuries, the fragrances, the really hearty dinner, the time off to rest. choose your fighter.
sunday 4/20 - venus sextile uranus, mercury sextile pluto, sun square mars - vibes all over today (good day for it!). explorations of the atypical in matters of relationships and creativity/expression, truth-seeking deep conversational dives, and a general sense of "who am i and what am i here to do?". feels parallel to the weekly card - prompting reflections on where you've been feeling worn out and could re-focus on what will make the hard work worthwhile. not losing your sense of self through The Slog.

Week of 4/7 - 4/13
astrology forecast + collective tarot card for the week
Card for this week: 4 of Swords (reversed) - we had this card twice in the upright position between aug-sept 2024, reminding us to Chill The F Out before/after/between retrogrades/eclipses/so on. given that this is the first eclipse season since that time frame, i'd guess this is that same type of vibe. with the eclipses over and mercury and venus both going direct, balance is slowly restoring. where the heck are we now? there's a real need to rest after the last few weeks! don't let yourself burn out.
Transits/Astro forecast: new era rolling in, time to absorb all that you've learned the last few weeks! digest the things that have come up. rest! many reflections on springtimes gone by in this week's transits. what has strengthened you, humbled you, made you vow to move differently from this point on? lots of relationship reflections the past few weeks, and this seems to culminate now. by the end of this week, there will be no retrogrades until may - clarity approaching. we've had several mini-new years' since january, but now is really when you're feeling energized to move forward. deep breath.
monday 4/7 - venus conjunct saturn, mercury stations direct, venus sextile uranus - last time we had: venus conjunct saturn: january 18, 2025/march 21, 2024, mercury direct in pisces: Mar 28, 2019, venus sextile uranus: January 26, 2025/July 8, 2024 - approaching relationships from a place of practicality/realism, yet inspiration and creativity. the noise is settling, you're aware that you can change the patterns that recur. you don't have to box yourself in!
saturday 4/12 - full moon in libra, sun conjunct chiron, venus stations direct - last time we had- libra full moon: march 25, 2024, sun conjunct chiron: april 8, 2024, venus in pisces direct: Apr 15, 2017 - we are Once Again, really reflecting on our relationships today. old patterns are really begging to be closed out. you're so ready to move forward in so many ways! some wounds of self-concept are emerging today and ready to shake free as well. there's closure to be found after looking into these inner wounds, and much brighter days ahead in your relationships.
potential journal prompts:
whatever might have come up for you since early march (leaving this up to you, i feel it was pretty custom for everyone) - what is something you no longer wish to do in your relationships? a behavior, a standard you hold yourself to, self-limiting beliefs, so on
what's something that always makes you feel loved?
if this resonates - what's something you've learned since last messy retrograde x eclipse season (late august-fall 2024)? did any of those lessons resurface this past few weeks?

A Solar Eclipse for Re-watching The Bear x My Haters Are My Motivators (Derogatory)
a post-game review of perhaps the most 8th house transits i've ever had at once during an eclipse season
The Bear first aired before I had ever even been to Chicago and I finally got around to watching it the week after I moved here. My second time ever in this city was now an indefinite stay. I felt like an intern. I felt that same rudderlessness, even though I chose to move, no one was expecting me here, and I could go anywhere and do anything. It felt like nearly everything in my life at the time was breaking or broken. Remnants of the old were falling apart dramatically and the new was nowhere to be found. I could feel that the show’s footage of the CTA trains rushing by and beloved Chicago Italian Beef sandwich joints would one day feel familiar, would connect with some part of me, even though it was not yet my experience. I liked how, with the help of TV Magic, I was already able to feel nostalgic about Chicago.
I’ve been a project manager for years now. Sometimes by trade, sometimes in my personal life. Because the truth of the matter, in the most self-fellating way possible….. is that everything is project management. Only occasionally do you get the actual title. Here’s the goal, here’s the team, here’s everything that has to get done along the way, spare no details, reconfigure as you go, no room to fail, fucking figure it out etc etc. When one thing changes, right away, I see that several branches down will also be impacted. I’m in tune with the ecosystem. When I know my variables, I know exactly what everyone needs to see/hear/be reminded of. I know who will forget what and when they’ll forget it - including myself. You build the safety net accordingly. I know who triggers who based on some clear life circumstance I don’t even need to be briefed on to see how it plays in. I categorically know everyone’s strengths and weaknesses and I play to those. We save a lot of time and frustration because I can sense these dynamics. Things will always change in ways you couldn’t predict and some of us are just built to handle those as they come. How do you overcome the impossible? You figure it out as you go.
It’s hard to realize in the moment that your subconscious is driving your actions. It’s easy to spot the patterns of others, as they feel so separate, but your own patterns can be way too close to properly see. Lifetimes ago, I was a college intern working a job with multiple managers and competing priorities. I was 20, I had no sense of where I wanted to go in my career, I had switched my major from hard STEM to much softer STEM and taken the ego hit of being outcasted (by my own hand) from the computational kingdom. My new hedonistic life of chaos and disorder in humanities land (lol). Too practical for the creatives, too prone to tangent for the left-brained. Very sensitive to any criticism about my ability to work hard, as this was recently tarnished by my tenuous ability to do calculus. Apparently you could be smart without calculus, but I struggled to see this.
This internship was a step into the abyss - I had to manage my managers! I had to dictate who could have my time and when. Of my multiple managers, I had one who openly called me out for my failures and held me accountable to righting the ship, then celebrated my successes with me when I overcame these obstacles. I had never received such earnest praise. I was held to a higher standard because it was clear I could reach it, even when I didn’t see that potential in myself. I credit this manager with changing my professional life for the better. One of my other managers, however, did not give direct feedback and seemingly did not recognize the fact that I was still clearly learning how to become a workplace professional. As fate would have it, the latter was the one who was asked to formally review my performance. This review included several surprisingly critical remarks - all of which could’ve easily been addressed if we had those conversations while I was working there. Of these remarks, the one that stuck with me the most was - “I think she will succeed in other jobs where she is not held to such a fast-paced environment, or where she has the ability to be more creative and communicative, rather than managing projects.” I never intended to dedicate so much of my life to proving this wrong, but alas.
From my current vantage point, it almost makes me laugh to think of a worldview that sees creativity and communication as diametrically opposed to project management. That you could ever manage projects without creative and communicative abilities. The carefully programmed system fails as soon as it encounters an unforeseen issue. Do you give up if there’s no established fix to your dilemma? Can you ever truly think of everything before it happens? The majority of season 2 of The Bear was entertaining to me in the sense that they absolutely encapsulated what it’s like to manage the unmanageable. To try and stall the inspector when this timeslot is the only time you can get them there and you aren’t ready for the inspection yet but you absolutely have to get it done today. To have to pick and choose who can handle what information, how to recover when you forget something essential, how everyone telling you it’s impossible is merely a suggestion, how the only way out is genuinely through. Certain projects require a dreamer. A passion you’d be stupid to have. The follow-through of someone who has a level of tenacity that is a bit off-putting, to put it lightly. After all, is creativity not just finding a way to do the impossible?
Throughout the entirety of the series, we follow Carmen’s passion for cooking through family life, working for the best restaurants in the world, then working in his own restaurant. We see his constant flashbacks to pivotal moments in his past - family blow-ups, grief, chefs who inspired him, important relationships, enough content for a lifetime in therapy. But the one that debatably affected him the most was the head chef in New York, David, who we see constantly criticize, belittle, and psychologically torture Carmen. Despite all the other brilliant and successful chefs Carmen worked with, David was the one he remembered most. “Remembered”, in the visceral sense. In the season 3 finale, Carmen sees David again and they talk - Carmen attempting to share how awful David has made him feel, while David simply sees nothing wrong with any of his behaviors, even going so far as to credit himself for making Carmen a better chef. Violence begets violence, as it were, and Carmen’s unresolved David Baggage bleeds into his life with his own restaurant. Everything kind and encouraging that had ever been said to Carmen would take a backseat to The David Flashbacks. You could see how any time he ever made a mistake, it would be David’s face in the back of his mind. He re-entered that state of mind, as if David was still there, berating him. Anything went wrong? David. Carmen unwittingly kept David as the driver in this next chapter of his life. He became the raging head chef. In this life, you have to be the one to stop yourself from proving yourself to David forever. You also have to be the one to stop yourself from becoming the David. In order to do any of this, you have to recognize that David is there.
When you’re 20, you’d do anything to be told who you are. You might rebel against it, but at least you’d have something to rebel against. You have some sense of direction. It’s a shame how many amazing teachers I’ve had who I don’t remember because they weren’t critical of me. I was in the process of submitting job applications for my final internship of college when I got my lackluster review from that previous manager. The internship I eventually accepted was intended to be data analysis and evolved loosely into project management. My first post-grad job was intended to be admin support, and evolved, once again into project management. I never outright applied for such a job, but boy did I always end up there. My work anniversary for my current job aligns roughly with when I received that crappy review. Reviewing my yearly progress always comes with a shadow. Every year, I am better and better at the job I did not originally intend to do. Every year, I prove that creativity/communication and project management are inseparable. Every year, I am unaware that I am proving everything said against me wrong, but I do it anyway. It’s like a revelation each time.
I don’t want an apology. I know that manager sees nothing wrong with any of those statements. It’s never been about that person - it’s always been about how that review fractured my sense of self and my concept of reality. Thinking I was doing one thing, and being formally and indirectly (not to my face!) informed that I was doing another. Seeing someone with power over me assess that my perceived capacity for “creativity and communication” were detractors from the work I was assigned to do feels now like a fundamental misunderstanding of how the world works. But at the time, this made me feel like I was Just A Stupid Girl Who Should Just Give Up Now. I took it as a disposal of me altogether, that I did not deserve to take myself seriously, that this kind of work was not for me, that I didn’t have what it takes. This experience I attempted to repress and move on from without “letting it get to me” was driving me this whole time. And only now am I realizing that this evaluation of me didn’t even make any fucking sense to begin with.
As I wrote this, I checked my email for something unrelated and discovered a coupon for a free Italian Beef sandwich. Valid only until today. A nod from the universe. May we all be free from the psychological restrictions imposed on us by others that unintentionally drive our actions.

Week of 3/31 - 4/6
astrology forecast + collective tarot card for the week
Card for this week: 4 of Wands (reversed) - a callback to Week of 10/28/24.... i spoke in that post about personal celebration/inner harmony & home/family life recalibration. these might relate to what came up that last week in october 2024 (plus, a few transits also pointing to sep/oct 2024) - after all, we are still in the final stretch of mercury/venus retrograde! what does "coming home to yourself" mean? this week is all about recognizing what matters to you, what influences you've been subject to, which goals you wish to focus on, and how to have a supportive foundation for all future strivings.
Transits/Astro forecast: last full week of The Retrogrades, coming down from eclipse season, reconfiguring/recalibrating all around. with this final stretch of reflection/old stuff re-emerging to be processed, there's an energy of "what can i bring in to replace the old that no longer serves me?". what can i thank for getting me through and replace with something that empowers me and makes me feel good?
friday 4/4 - saturn sextile uranus, mars sextile uranus, mars trine saturn - last time we had: saturn sextile uranus: mar 1st, 1997!!, mars sextile uranus: jan 23, 2025/oct 25, 2024, mars trine saturn: feb 9, 2025/sept 30th, 2024 - the most significant events coming up when you google march 1st 1997 are an insanely deadly series of tornadoes in arkansas. hmm. lots of uranus / mars energy today is likely to cause some shakeups, hopefully more theoretical in nature, but we will see what goes down today. in general, these transits are all about shaking free from limitations, ushering in innovations and updated ways of thinking/performing. thinking outside of the box, etc. ingenuity and follow-through.
saturday 4/5 - moon conjunct mars + moon/mars loose trine saturn/venus/mercury/north node (exact aspects in the coming days, i'll mention again as they come up)- lots of feelings have come up this pisces/aries season and this cancer moon/cancer mars link up with all the pisces placements today will be no different! same general sentiments - old wounds, old relationships, habits/patterns are all coming to the forefront for you to reflect and revise today. unexpected big emotional reaction out of nowhere? Yeah. could be some parallels with the crazy cancer full moon back in mid-january of this year.....
sunday 4/6 - sun sextile jupiter, venus trine mars - last time we had: sun sextile jupiter: aug 7th, 2024, venus trine mars: jan 25th, 2025/oct 8th, 2024 - lucky day! great for socializing and Getting Out There. beautiful vibes, things flowing more easily, more opportunities likely coming your way, a creative energy as well. get outside/in the community today if you can!

Week of 3/24 - 3/30
astrology forecast + collective tarot card for the week
Card for this week: 2 of Wands - the weekly card from 2/17/25! that week, i spoke about the world being your oyster. finding yourself in the sweet spot between brainstorming and setting out to accomplish something new. you might be finding yourself naturally drawn to re-evaluating your longer term goals (perhaps some catalyzing events have unfolded recently....), and now would definitely be a good time to focus there if you need the push still.
Transits/Astro forecast: noting that because we've had so many retrogrades recently, some of the "last time __ transit happened" dates were just a few weeks ago, so i'm adding the time before that as well for analytical purposes. for the trend forecasters among us. anyway- we're in that sacred in-between-eclipses time w/ added drama of retrogrades this week - things are feeling exhausting, funky, absurd, overwhelming at the very least. neptune enters aries for the first time in our lives and mercury and venus both cross over neptune to retrograde back into pisces. only word i can conjure for this phenomenon is "messy". lots of backtracking and confusion mixed with these unprecedented times. you're gonna need time to gather yourself this week (especially over the weekend). chiller transits are to come, just not now. current retrogrades are mercury and venus.
monday 3/24 - sun conjunct mercury - last time we had this transit: feb 9th 2025/december 5th 2024. cazimi after cazimi these days! self-expression is heightened today. you're aligned with yourself and communicating accordingly - use this to your advantage, tell the world who you are! use those articulation powers.
tuesday 3/25 - mercury sextile pluto - last time we had this transit: march 5th 2025/november 2nd 2024. a slight contrast to yesterday - more introspection, deep intuitive thoughts come naturally today. ahead of mercury and venus retrogrades both backtracking into pisces this week, today would be a fabulous journal day.
wednesday 3/26 - mars square chiron - last time we had this transit: feb 4th 2025/october 13th 2024. ouch! pain points come to life today. where do you struggle to take action/advocate for yourself? where do you continually hit roadblocks that might feel a bit more emotionally charged than you expect? what's underneath that soft spot?
thursday 3/27 - venus retrogrades back into pisces, venus conjunct neptune - last time we had this transit: venus rx in pisces - venus rx re-entered pisces in april 3rd 2017, venus conj neptune - feb 1st 2025/april 3rd 2024. we're just about halfway through venus retrograde, which has likely been illuminating your relational patterns and sensitivities. continue reflecting this week- be mindful of the rose-colored rear-view glasses today with these transits, things from the past are not as they appear.
saturday 3/29 - mercury retrogrades back into pisces, mercury conjunct neptune, solar eclipse/new moon in aries - last time we had this transit: mercury rx in pisces - feb 17th 2020, mercury conj neptune - march 2nd 2025/march 8th 2024. kind of way too much going on today! similar vibes to yesterday with potentially romanticizing the past, but this now mixes with the new moon/solar eclipse in aries. which could not be more "Fuck the past, we're moving forward" if it tried. like, what a mess! you're being reborn, but you're so aware of what happened before.
sunday 3/30 - neptune enters aries - last time we had this transit: April 13th 1861 lol. if you're curious: "On April 12, 1861, Confederate forces fired on Fort Sumter in Charleston Harbor, South Carolina, marking the beginning of the Civil War. " Which Could Mean Anything......
something i will also note while we're Reflecting on Time Gone By: neptune has been in pisces since april 4th, 2011. while neptune is ruled by pisces (so, theoretically comfortable there), we have been in a kind of continual delusion for these past several years, which we're now forcibly waking up from. years of walking the line between spiritual connectedness vs. escapism, wellness cults, misinformation/illusions and so on. while nothing is ever 100% good or 100% bad- things will be shifting dramatically as we exit that landscape that has been so familiar for the past 15 years. aries energy here can be fast-moving, impulsive, a bit explosive/volatile. i'd imagine change can and will materialize quickly. not fear-mongering, just preparing us.....
potential journal prompts:
halfway into venus retrograde, what are those relationship patterns you're reflecting on or noticing? Things from 2023, 2017, so on, current relationship, some other time period?
how can you channel your anger into solving problems/achieving your goals? where is your rage pointing you?
you know you can't go back in time. nor do you want to. but what do you keep remembering/reflecting on? indulge it for half a second (READER DISCRETION ADVISED, DON'T DO THIS IF YOU KNOW YOU NEED TO LEAVE IT ALONE) so you can truly move forward. only way out is through....
this week is full of both closure and rebirth energy - what needs to end still before you can launch into the new plans you have?
