I won’t celebrate until I hit my goal weight because my weight has been fluctuating between 142 and 145 for the past couple of months.
I also know that if I restricted my diet I would lose more, but unfortunately I can’t do that at home.
Once my body gets used to this workout I’ll change it or double it up.

2 years later and +5kg heavier
I don’t know what I happened? I am currently 145lbs which is almost 66kg. I know I’ve gained weight because my arms and wrist are thicker. I don’t know how that extra weight crept up on me. I have literally been eating the same. I wasn’t able to continue exercising because I got tired from work and today, it’s the same thing, but I am back in the US so not much privacy anymore. In June I will turn 25 and I will be going to New York. By then I want to have lost at least the 5kg (10lbs) I’ve gained in the past 2 years.
It’s so embarrassing, and I still hate what I see in the mirror and how I feel in my body. This time I really wish it happens and I do it. I need to prove to myself that I can achieve something like this.

Day 4 in quarantine in Korea
I did this workout today.
youtube
When I clicked on it, I thought I was going to get bored, but he is actually very positive and motivating. If I was to get a personal trainer, I would want him to be my trainer. He motivates you and is understanding that you will get tired unlike how other workout people on youtube come off as the type to force you to do more at the same intensity or pace a when you started.
The first minute, I did it the hard way, but realized that wasn’t going to work out for me. Instead I did the beginner one and after the third one I felt like giving up. I pushed through and finished the whole workout. By the end I was sweating and my arms hurt. I was putting my arms straight each time. I also alternated which leg I would start with. One round I step back with the right leg first and the next the left and I keep alternating.
I will be doing this workout the way I did today for the remainder of my quarantine or whenever the beginner way becomes easy for me. I will then do build up to doing it the way he does it, the normal way.
My diet at the moment is very carb heavy, so I will see how it turns out. the reason it’ carb heavy, it’s because I can only get groceries delivered at my airbnb through one website that does accept foreign cards which is very expensive. Once I get out of quarantine, get my Korean bank account open, I will be eating more healthy.
Also I tried these seaweed for the first time!

When I first ate one, I didn’t know if I liked it or if I didn’t. Eventually I ate the whole thing and then ate another one all by itself. It’s a taste that I got used to real quick considering I’m a vegetarian, so anything that comes from the sea I don’t have in my diet. I also bought white rice, so tomorrow I am going to eat the rice with the seaweed like they do on Running Man.
*side note* I have been feeling sad since I haven’t been able to hug my family in a week now. I know it’s day 4 of my quarantine, but I spent 1 day in the airport going from my hometown to San Francisco because I missed my flight due to miscommunication from the airport. The next day, I spent it in San Francisco which was really fun even though I was by myself. The following day I spent it flying to Korea which was on Monday, but due to the time zone I lost a day.

Starting Body

All I see is fat. Everything jiggles when I walk, and it’s very squishy. I spend majority of the time sucking in my stomach even when I am alone. I dislike everything I see in these pictures. For my height and weight, I am considered over weight.
I looked this up to have an estimate of how much fat I have, and that 35.7% makes me feel bad about myself. I am 14.3% away of having 50% body fat which sounds horrifying to me.I want to not only lose weight, but I also want to lose all that fat.
Hopefully in the rest of my quarantine, I lose weight and look smaller.

Committing to becoming thin
I have moved to South Korea. The #1 country obsessed with their appearance. I arrived on August 17th which means I am currently in Quarantine.
Day 1 - Aug. 17
I arrived at 3pm and didn’t get to the airbnb until 6pm. The plane ride was 12 hours long and they gave us food which I ate. If we put it into Korean time the flight was from 3am to 3pm. An hour in they gave us pasta, a bread roll with butter, small salad with a grain, ice cream, and pretzels snack bag. I ate half of the spaghetti, all of the bread roll with half the butter, the small amount of salad, and I saved the pretzels. I eventually ate the pretzels. Midway, they gave us a small ham and cheese sandwich with a small amount of dressing in it. I took out the ham since I am a vegetarian, and then ate it all. The last food they gave us was a croissant breakfast sandwich. It was ham and egg, and once again I took out the ham and ate the rest. Once I arrived to the airbnb, I relaxed and talked to my family back home. I ended up eaten half the bag of the Cheetos I had bought back in the US and the drank the water I had bought as well.
Day 2 - Aug. 18
Yesterday, I had to go to get covid tested (I will be doing two more while in quarantine). I planned to go that morning, but I was talking with my mom and sister. All I ate that morning was the rest of my Cheetos. At 1:30pm I made my way to the health clinic.

It was a 30 minute walk, so I ended up walking for an hour to and from the clinic. At around 4pm the pizza I delivered arrived which was a medium. It’s not a US medium pizza. It’s more of a slightly larger personal pizza. I also ordered the Korean version of sprite and spaghetti which I didn’t eat. I ate half of it when it arrived, and then I ate the other half later that night.
Day 3 - Aug. 19
Today the groceries I ordered online where delivered in the morning. I ordered soy milk, fig bread, and cauliflower rice. Originally, there was going to be ramen and dumplings, but they were sold out and they refunded me that money. I ended up eating a small amount of the bread with a cup of the milk around 8am. Then around noon, I ate half of the spaghetti only. For dinner, I am thinking of trying the cauliflower rice since I have never tried it (maybe half of it). I’ll drink another cup of the milk.

Exercise
So I figured out my body shape and body type. My body shape is a pear (right side up triangle), and my body type is endomorph. This means most of my weight is carried on the bottom half, and I tend to be heavier and softer (more fat than muscle). This means losing weight will be a challenge, so I will do exercises that are benefiting to my body type.

The Beginning
When I was in elementary school my aunt would visit us for one week in the year. During this week, she would comment about my weight and how she was able to grab my fat.
When my mom would take me to my yearly check up, I would suck in my stomach when being weighed hoping it would decrease my weight.
When I got to middle school, my friends would talk about their weight and how fat they were. In reality, they weren’t fat in my eyes. They looked thin. I was the one who felt fat.
When I was in high school, a boy laughed at how much I weighed.
When I was in college, I could only judge as to how fat I looked in pictures while I was next to people.
I am a 22 year old woman, standing at 5 feet 1 inches, and weigh about 135lbs (about 61kg).
I have always wanted to be skinny since I always saw myself as fat even in elementary. I feel fat. I am fat. I want to be skinny. I want to be thin.
My goal is to get to 99lbs (45kg). I want to be 45kg thin.
