The rest of the summer after the beginning of July seems to zoom by in a flash. Satoru’s long days were filled with working in the office and then coming home to feed Shiro and snuggle up on the couch next to Suguru while planning their vacation. Once Satoru had suggested Okinawa, there wasn’t any more discussion about where they would be going.
“Let me plan everything.” Satoru begged. “Pleaseee?”
“Are you sure?” Suguru asked, not completely sure if he wanted to put the entire responsibility of the trip into Satoru’s hands. It’s not that he didn’t trust him to do it, but he just liked knowing what was going on.
“Yes, I promise I’ll do everything.” Satoru begged, wanting to go crazy with it. He wanted their first vacation together to really be something to remember.
That’s how they ended up in a villa with their own private pool for five nights in Okinawa. Their flight arrived on time, with thankfully no issues at the airport this time after Suguru made sure they were there with plenty of time to spare. Satoru arranged for them to take the ferry the hour and a half trip north from Naha to Motobu. Once they finally make it to their resort, Suguru starts becoming more and more suspicious as he notices the way everything looks like it’s straight out of a luxury real estate magazine. He waits back while Satoru gets them checked in and gets the keys to their villa.
“Why do I have a feeling that I shouldn’t trust you?” Suguru asks with narrowed eyes as they load their bags onto a small golf cart so that the resort employee can take them to where they’re staying for the week.
“Why wouldn’t you trust me?” Satoru asks as the driver takes off down the path towards their villa. The warm late summer breeze blows through his short snowy hair as he looks over at Sugru with a mischievous seeming smile on his face. His sunglasses sit on his face, shielding his eyes from the bright Okinawan sun beating down on them.
“You’re asking me that while you have that smile on your face.” Suguru says with a suspecting smile, feeling the half of his hair that’s down blowing in the wind behind him. He rests his arm along the back of the seat, allowing him to mindlessly brush Satoru’s shoulder with his thumb. Their bags sit on the back of the cart as they make the short drive and finally pull up to a simple looking black steel gate. They grab all of their things from the cart and thank the driver before he heads back the direction they came, leaving them alone. Satoru opens the gate and Suguru follows closely behind. From the road, you can’t see much as it’s mostly covered by trees and other landscaping, but after they pass through the gate, the path to the front door is full of lush manicured plants and a pond with a small waterfall.
Suguru is speechless just looking at the outside as they approach the front door. Satoru turns around and hands the key card to Suguru. “You open it.”
“Why me?” Suguru asks, slightly confused.
“I planned everything, I already know what it looks like! I want you to be surprised.” Satoru says with a child-like smile, urging him towards the door to open it. Suguru takes the key card and looks at Satoru with a suspicious look on his face, not knowing what to expect on the other side of the door. He taps the key to the door and turns the knob before pushing open the door and stepping inside.
Suguru is speechless as he opens the door to see the beautiful inside of their villa. His mouth hangs open as he steps just inside and takes a look around. “Baby?” He asks, making his way in further. Satoru steps inside and closes the door behind them, setting their bags off to the side of the door to take to the bedroom after they look around.
“Yes, my sweet?” Satoru asks, walking in to meet Suguru as he stands in the middle of the gorgeous living room that overlooks their own private pool. The water comes up to the edges, looking like glass as it reflects the bright blue sky above.
“How much was all this?” He asks, turning back to look at Satoru with wide eyes.
“That doesn’t matter, do you like it?” Satoru asks, shaking his head and brushing off his question completely.
“Satoru, it’s beautiful, but this must have cost you a fortune!” Suguru shouts as he continues looking around.
“It wasn’t too bad.” Satoru says with a shrug as he stands with his hands in his pockets. “You want a tour?” He asks, having looked at this place for months and knowing it well.
“Trust fund baby.” Suguru mumbles as he shakes his head, wrapping his arms around Satoru’s waist and pulling him in for a tight hug.
“Did Shoko tell you to say that?!” Satoru asks, furrowing his eyebrows and narrowing his eyes at Suguru for just a moment before wrapping his arms around his shoulders and holding him tightly.
“Nope. So, how about that tour?” Suguru says with a smug grin before he presses a quick kiss to Satoru’s cheek.
“You’re lucky I love you more than anything on Earth.” Satoru says, shaking his head as they break from their hug. Suguru smiles back at him, ready to be taken on a tour. “Well we’ve already seen the kitchen and the living room, but if we head back through here on the other side of the front door, there’s the bedroom.” They step into the bedroom to see a perfectly made bed facing a wall of glass doors that fold back into the walls. The bedroom overlooks the pool just like the living room, but has its own separate seating area out on the patio.
They continue through the bedroom to the bathroom that has a gigantic tub, along with a shower that’s connected to a small cove where an outdoor shower sits. “I think we’re gonna like this.” Satoru says, raising his eyebrows with a wink as he points out the outdoor shower. Suguru shakes his head as he rolls his eyes, but smiles, knowing that he’s probably right. “Okay, now one of my favorite parts!” Satoru says, grabbing Suguru’s hand and pulling him back out towards the living room.
“Babe, you don’t have to pull me, I’m right here.” Suguru says with a chuckle, having no choice but to keep following behind him.
“Yeah but you’re not going fast enough!” Satoru exclaims as they make it to a spiral staircase that sits to the side of the dining room. They make their way up the stairs and come out to a rooftop deck, complete with an outdoor kitchen. Suguru’s mouth hangs open as they step into the outdoor living area. The view of the bright blue ocean just past all the vegatation is enough to make Suguru speechless once again. “Do you like it?” Satoru asks, noticing Suguru has fallen somewhat silent.
“Baby, you really didn’t have to go all out like this.” Suguru says, feeling bad about how much he probably spent on this place and vacation as a whole.
“Yes I did! I wanted us to enjoy our first vacation together.” Satoru explains as they look at the ocean view together. Suguru turns to look at Satoru for a moment before grabbing the sides of his face gently and pulling him in for a deep kiss. Satoru grabs the sides of Suguru’s shirt, holding him close as their lips press together. Suguru smiles at the feeling.
“I would’ve enjoyed anything with you. Thank you, Toru.” Suguru whispers up against Satoru’s lips as their foreheads rest together. The warm salty ocean breeze flows between them as they stand there for a moment.
“You’re welcome, Sugu.” Satoru whispers back before leaving one more kiss on Suguru’s lips. “Should we unpack?” He suggests. Suguru nods his head and they make their way back down the stairs and toward the front door to grab their bags before heading into the bedroom.
“You brought a swimsuit, right?” Satoru asks as he pulls out his own and puts it into one of the drawers in the closet.
“Of course I did.” Suguru says as he unpacks his own bag. “But…” He continues, thinking for a moment before finishing his thought. “This is just our pool, right?” He asks, looking back to Satoru.
The grin on Satoru’s face is wide as he turns around. “Oh I’m way ahead of ya, babe.” Satoru says, knowing exactly what he’s getting at. “We don’t have to wear anything in the pool, but we probably want to if we’re gonna go in the ocean.” Suguru smiles to himself, thankful that he doesn’t ever really have to explain himself to Satoru. He somehow always knows exactly what he’s thinking. “There’s a path right there that leads out to the beach, but technically it’s a public beach, so anyone can be there.” He explains, pointing out past the pool to a sandy pathway that leads away into the greenery. “But the closest villa isn’t that close, so we should have it to ourselves most of the time.”
“Good to know.” Suguru says with a smile on his face as he moves to stand behind Satoru. He snakes his arms in front of him and rests his head on the back of Satoru’s shoulder, inhaling deeply before letting it out slowly.
“You sleepy?” Satoru asks, continuing to put his clothes into the drawers of the closet. They had a pretty early flight so that they could get to the resort as early as possible, but that meant that they had to wake up at 4am. Satoru had no problem with it, but Suguru didn’t manage to get any coffee for himself, so he was left feeling sluggish and half dead after their morning and early afternoon of traveling.
“Mmhm.” Suguru hums in response, nodding his head sluggishly against Satoru’s back.
“How about you go lay down and I’ll finish unpacking, okay?” Satoru suggests, his voice sweet and soothing as Suguru feels his eyelids getting heavier with every passing moment. “I’ll be there in just a minute.” He says, feeling Suguru lift his head from off of his back and his arms release from around his waist. Suguru presses a delicate kiss to the back of Satoru’s neck before heading out of the closet to go lay down in bed.
Satoru smiles to himself at the feeling, wanting to quickly finish unpacking so that he could go join Suguru in bed. He knows that Suguru didn’t have any kind of caffeine this morning, simply because they were just so busy making sure they had everything that it completely slipped his mind. Satoru hums softly to himself as he neatly puts everything away and moves onto their bathroom bags. He puts everything on the counter and the adjacent shelves neatly before sticking their empty bags back in the closet.
When he steps out of the bathroom and back into the bedroom, Suguru is laying on top of the white duvet, not even bothering to pull it back and climb under. Satoru smiles as he looks at how Suguru looks with his eyes closed, peacefully resting on his side with his arm wrapped around one of the fluffy pillows. Satoru takes his sunglasses off of his head and sets them on the nightstand before laying down next to him. Suguru already seems to be asleep, but Satoru moves in close, taking Suguru’s arm and wrapping it over his waist to replace the pillow. Suguru’s mouth twitches into a smile as he pulls Satoru closer and takes a deep breath, holding him close.
“You asleep already?” Satoru whispers, not wanting to wake him if he is.
“Mm-mm.” Suguru responds, his face now resting on Satoru’s chest. Satoru wraps his arms around Suguru’s shoulder, holding him close as he sits a bit higher in the pillows, his head nearly leaning up against the headboard.
“You get some rest, I’ll be right here.” Satoru coos, pulling his phone out of his pocket to scroll aimlessly while Suguru takes a nap.
“Wake me up in 45 minutes.” He mumbles against Satoru’s chest.
“Will do, sleeping beauty.” Satoru says with a smile on his face. He puts his phone down and looks down at Suguru’s face as it’s squished up against his chest. He looks at the way his eyelashes sit delicately against his cheeks, the way his hair falls down in front of his face, the way his lips have a slight pout on them as he drifts off to sleep. Satoru lets one hand rub soothing circles on his back, knowing it’ll help him fall asleep faster. His other hand carefully brushes Suguru’s hair back, running his fingers through his hair slowly. Before he knows it, Suguru’s breathing slows and becomes more even, letting him know that he’s asleep.
Being the little shit that he is, Satoru finds this as the perfect opportunity to take some pictures. He picks his phone back up from where it sits beside him on the bed and opens the camera. He tries to find the most ridiculous angle that he can photograph Suguru at, but no matter what he does, Suguru looks absolutely perfect. “Ugh.” Satoru grumbles quietly, irritated that he can’t even get one where he looks somewhat bad. “Why do you have to be so blessed?” Satoru whispers mostly to himself as he continues scrolling on his phone.
He doesn’t realize it, but his eyes are starting to feel just as heavy the longer he lays there under the weight of Suguru resting on him. Before he can do anything about it, he’s out like a light.
It’s no less than three hours later when Suguru finally wakes up. He notices that Satoru is also asleep and immediately checks the time on his watch.
“Baby.” Suguru says softly, trying to shake Satoru awake while still groggy from his nap that lasted much longer than intended. “Satoru.” He says, rubbing the sleep from his eyes.
“What?!” Satoru asks, shooting up and quickly taking a deep breath. “I’m awake!” He shouts, sounding like he’s trying to convince himself.
“Toru, I told you 45 minutes.” Suguru says, laying back into the pillows on his side of the bed.
“Yeah.” Satoru says, still not completely awake yet.
“That was three hours ago.”
“Oh…” He says, realizing that he fell asleep without setting an alarm. “I’m sorry, Gugu, I guess I was pretty tired too.” Satoru says with a sheepish smile on his face.
“Do we have anything planned for the rest of the day that we need to get ready for?” Suguru asks, wanting to make sure they aren’t missing somewhere they should be.
“Actually, I planned on having dinner here tonight so that we didn’t have to do anything today. Does that sound alright?” He asks, sitting up and rubbing his eyes to wake himself up. “I had groceries delivered before we even got here, so we have everything we need already. Suguru smiles up at him from his side of the bed.
“Have I told you how much I love you?” Suguru asks, the smile easily heard laced into his sickly sweet tone.
“Yes… But I’d love to hear you tell me again.” Satoru says, leaning back across the bed to give Suguru a gentle kiss.
“I love you so much, you have no idea.”
“I think I have a pretty good idea.” Satoru says with a smirk as he stands up. He grabs onto the bottom hem of his tshirt and pulls it up and over his head, tossing it randomly to the corner as he heads into the bathroom.
“Satoru, why don’t you put it in the closet?” Suguru asks with a huff as he stands up from his side of the bed. He goes to pick up the discarded shirt and tosses it into the closet before continuing on into the bathroom.
“You wanna take a swim?” Satoru asks, turning back around to Suguru as he unties his shorts that already sit low on his hips. Suguru flashes a smile at Satoru, looking him up and down quickly before agreeing. He goes to open up the doors that connect their bedroom to the patio and pool, letting in the warm late afternoon air. Suguru takes his own shirt off and adds it to the pile that was already started in the closet. He starts to untie his own shorts when he hears the sound of running footsteps followed by a loud splash. He smiles to himself, hurrying out to look at Satoru in the pool as he comes back up.
“Did you fall?” Suguru calls out, not exactly sure what had happened.
The water moves with a circular ripple effect away from Satoru, slightly spilling over the edges of the pool into the gutters. “No, I jumped in! Come on! It’s so nice!” He calls out as he brushes his dripping wet hair out of his face and rests up against the wall with his arms up on the deck. His chin rests on his hands as he watches Suguru standing in the bedroom. Suguru finally pulls off his shorts and is left standing there in nothing besides the hair tie on his wrist. He quickly ties his hair up into a bun as he walks over to the stairs of the pool, Satoru’s eyes locked on him the entire way.
“Stop looking at me like you wanna eat me.” Suguru says as he steps into the pool, the cool water feeling soothing against his skin under the hot evening sun.
“What if I do wanna eat you, though?” Satoru asks, swimming over towards Suguru with a suggestive smirk on his face. He stands up and wraps his arms around Suguru’s shoulders. Their warm skin presses up against each other, nothing but water standing in between them.
“Well…” Suguru starts, feeling Satoru’s legs wrap around his waist. He puts his hands underneath his legs, holding Satoru up as he walks deeper into the pool, feeling the cool tiles under his feet. “I think you’ll have to wait until after dinner.”
Satoru lets his head fall back and rest in the water as he furrows his eyebrows and lets out a groan, hanging onto Suguru with his fingers laced behind the back of his neck. “Ughh.”
“And now you’re pouting?” Suguru asks, looking down at him, unimpressed.
“Sugu, I know you’re just being cruel by making me wait.”
“I’m being cruel, am I?” Suguru asks, raising an eyebrow at Satoru as he lays back with his hair in the water.
“Yesss.” Satoru draws out before sitting back up to wrap his arms tightly around Suguru’s shoulders once again. He looks at Suguru with his bottom lip stuck out and upturned eyebrows as he tries to get his way.
“I think you can wait.” Suguru says, nodding his head and letting go of Satoru’s legs. Satoru drops his legs, but keeps his hold around Suguru’s shoulders as they drift back and forth in the pool. He furrows his eyebrows once more before pressing a deep kiss to Suguru’s lips. “You’re not gonna change my mind, baby.” Suguru says as Satoru continues trying to attack his lips. Satoru finally gives up and lets go, swimming over to the opposite wall of the pool. “Are you gonna pout over there now?”
“Yeah.” Satoru says, facing the direction of the beach with his arms crossed in front of his chest.
“Baby.” Suguru coos, swimming over to stand at the wall next to him. “You can’t just pout when you don’t get what you want.” He smiles, thinking to himself that it sounds like he’s talking to a toddler.
“Sugu, you can’t expect me to be skinny dipping with you in our private pool on vacation and not want to have sex with you.” Satoru explains dramatically, still looking forward and refusing to turn and look at Suguru who chuckles lightly.
“Satoru,” Suguru starts, his saccharine voice saying Satoru’s name never fails to make him completely melt at the sound of it. He can’t help but finally turn to look at Suguru as he talks. “If you behave, and stop acting like a brat when you don’t get your way…” He continues, looking at Satoru with raised eyebrows. “I’ll be honest, I’ve already thought about fucking you on every surface in this house.” He says with a straight face. Satoru’s cheeks immediately flush a shade of pink, surprised at Suguru’s blunt response. “So, are you going to stop being so greedy and behave for a while?” He asks, looking at Satoru, waiting for an answer.
Satoru nods his head, but Suguru raises his eyebrows at him once again. “Yes sir.” Satoru says, knowing that Suguru wants to hear it out loud.
“There’s my good boy.” Suguru says with a sweet smile. “Now, what are we making for dinner?” He changes the subject and leaves Satoru with a quick peck on the cheek.
After swimming for a while longer, they both get out and rinse off before getting dressed once again to make dinner. They make chicken stir fry together before sitting down at the table to eat, the view of the pool and the trees just outside the doors.
“So what’s the plan for tomorrow?” Suguru asks as they eat their meal.
“Well, nothing’s set in stone, but I thought that maybe we could go to the aquarium tomorrow.” Satoru suggests. “I haven’t been here since I was a kid, but I remember it being amazing.” He explains, knowing that Suguru has never been before. “I already have tickets, but we can go any day this week.”
“Let’s do that tomorrow morning.” Suguru suggests. “Or whenever we get out of bed, really. It doesn’t matter what time, to me.”
“It closes at 6:30, so that gives us plenty of time even if we wake up a little late.”
“Anything else planned that I should know about?” Suguru asks, wanting to know a little bit more about what they would be doing during their week-long stay.
“Well… I have dinner reservations for us on Thursday at the restaurant here. It’s pretty fancy and it was not easy to get reservations, so I hope you’re excited.”
“I can’t wait.” Suguru says with a soft smile on his face, excited for whatever they have planned for the week.
“Most of the time is just open and we can do whatever we want, but I wanted this to be a relaxing vacation, so I didn’t plan too much. I hope that’s okay with you.”
“Of course it is, baby. I’m happy just being here with you.”
Satoru smiles across the table at him as they continue eating their dinner, the setting sun coming through the window and lighting their faces with a golden bath of sunlight. “You want some dessert?” Satoru asks, grabbing both of their plates and taking them back to the kitchen before opening the fridge.
“I’m good right now baby, I think I’m gonna go shower, okay?” Suguru says, standing up from his spot at the table.
“I’ll be waiting for you.” Satoru says with a smirk as he opens up an ice cream bar from the freezer and sticks it in his mouth. Suguru smiles to himself as he makes his way back towards the bathroom to take a shower before bed. Satoru finishes his ice cream and also heads to the bedroom. He strips down to his underwear and climbs into bed, pulling the covers up over himself as he looks at his phone. All the lights are turned off except for the bathroom lights overflowing out into the bedroom.
Satoru didn’t even realize how tired he was until he felt his eyelids getting heavier and heavier. Shit, no. He tries to fight it, but ultimately loses the battle and drifts off to sleep, waiting for Suguru to join him in bed.
Suguru finishes his shower and finally turns off the bathroom light before heading back out only to see that Satoru is fast asleep in the middle of the bed. Suguru smiles to himself as he climbs into bed beside him. “Satoru?” He whispers, not wanting to wake him if he really is asleep. When there’s no answer, he figures that he really must have been the tired one after their day of traveling. “Good night, Toru.” Suguru whispers before leaving a delicate kiss to his temple and draping his arm over his waist. The sound of the ocean acts as white noise helping him drift peacefully off to sleep.
~~~~~~~~~~
“That one looks like you.” Suguru says, pointing to a preserved goblin shark sitting in one of the many tanks in the deep sea section of the aquarium.
“Hey!” Satoru whisper-yells while Suguru chuckles quietly. He looks around, trying to find something that he can compare Suguru to to get back at him. “Yeah? Well you look like that one.” Satoru retorts, pointing at one of the spider crabs in the main tank.
“I do not!” Suguru tries to argue back as they walk through the exhibit.
“Yes you do, but don’t worry, I love you no matter what you look like, Sugu.” Satoru coos, trying to turn it around. Suguru shakes his head as he grabs Satoru’s hand and pulls him along, wanting to go to the next section. “Would you love me if I was a goblin shark?”
“Shut up, of course I would. Let’s go to the Kuroshio sea already.” Suguru says, getting impatient and wanting to finally see the large tank. They head back through a room with a tank full of sharks and make out to the large blue room. The blue light coming from the tanks is all that’s lighting the entire room. The two of them walk towards the back of the room so that they can get the view of the whole thing, as well as stay on the edges of the crowd. Suguru’s mouth is open as the giant whale shark swims by, along with a few other fish swimming alongside with it.
Satoru doesn’t pay attention to the actual fish as much as he does to Suguru’s reaction to it all. He smiles as he watches Suguru look at everything, just taking it all in.
“This is so fucking cool.” Suguru whispers, not wanting one of the many kids running around to hear him cursing. Satoru chuckles lightly and smiles as Suguru finally turns to look at him.
“Isn’t it?” Satoru asks, finally turning to look at the tank for a moment. Hundreds of fish swim together, their scales shining as they all turn together as a school. There are so many different species of fish and other sea life, he doesn’t even know what to focus on.
“Your eyes are the same color.” Suguru says, looking between Satoru and the massive tank in front of them. Satoru smiles silently, giving Suguru’s hand a squeeze as he turns to look at him once again. Suguru is too busy looking at the giant manta ray that swims by, also accompanied by many smaller fish. He takes out his phone and snaps just a couple pictures before putting it away. What he didn’t notice, though, was Satoru taking pictures of his reactions to everything.
Satoru slips his phone back in his pocket sneakily, excited to go back and look at the pictures later.
“What are you smiling about?” Suguru asks, suddenly suspicious of Satoru’s smiley state.
“What? I can’t smile when I’m with you?” Satoru asks defensively, raising his eyebrows at him. Suguru narrows his eyes at him, still slightly suspicious, but not knowing what about. They stay in the same spot for about 10 minutes just looking and watching all the fish that continue to swim by. “Are you hungry?” Satoru asks, finally speaking up.
“Sure.” Suguru says, nodding his head. Satoru leads the way to the cafe where they luckily are able to get a table next to the glass.
They eat their food while giant manta rays and whale sharks swim by just above them, making for a breathtaking lunch. “Thank you, baby.” Suguru says, looking across the table at Satoru as he eats the blue colored cupcake he picked out. “This is amazing.”
“Anything for you, Suguboo.” Satoru says with a big smile on his face, his mouth full of cupcake.
“You wanna head back after you’re done?” Suguru suggests. They had already been at the aquarium for a good few hours and had seen pretty much everything. Satoru nods his head eagerly as he finishes stuffing the last bit of the cupcake into his mouth. He quickly finishes and they clean up after themselves before heading back towards the front to catch their ride back to the resort.
The ride isn’t too terribly long, but Suguru enjoys looking out the window as they drive along the coast. Satoru rests his head on Suguru’s shoulder and lets his fingers brush aimlessly along his thigh, slowly making their way further and further up until Suguru finally pushes his hand back down towards his knee with a quiet click of his tongue.
“Did you forget when I told you to behave and you agreed?” Suguru asks, leaning in close to Satoru’s ear for only him to hear.
“Nope.” Satoru says with a cheeky smile. Suguru shakes his head and scoffs lightly at him, knowing that he’s just trying to get him riled up.
“Well…” Suguru starts, his voice low and dark, “The more you keep acting like this, the longer you’re prolonging getting what you want.” He says before pulling back and flashing Satoru the sweetest smile possible. Satoru swallows thickly as he sits back in his seat, deciding to keep his hands to himself for the remainder of the drive.
They make it back to the villa and head back inside, thoroughly surprised with how much fun they had at the aquarium. “Did you have fun, Gugu?” Satoru asks as Suguru closes the door behind them. He turns around and his hands find a spot on Suguru’s waist, pulling him in closer.
“I really did.” Suguru says as he gets closer to Satoru’s face. Satoru looks at him, waiting for a moment before Suguru finally closes the gap with a deep kiss. “Thank you.” He whispers before leaving him with one last kiss before walking past him into the bedroom. Satoru lets out a groan and follows behind him, thinking that their kiss would lead somewhere.
“Do you wanna go down to the beach?” Satoru suggests, going to grab his swim shorts from where they sit in the drawer.
“Sure!” Sugugu calls out from the bathroom. “Just let me put my hair up and we can go, okay?”
Satoru gets into his swimsuit and sits on the cushy bench at the foot of the bed as he waits for Suguru. Suguru finally comes out of the bathroom with his hair up and his swimsuit on, ready to head down to the beach. Satoru stands up, excited and ready to go swim in the ocean. “Sugu, you look so cute in your little yellow shorts.” Satoru says as they make their way down the sandy path that leads to the water.
“Says you.” Suguru says, leaving a quick smack to Satoru’s ass, making him jump as they continue down the path.
“Ah!” He lets out a yelp as he jumps at the feeling. “Don’t do that!”
“Shut up, you love it.” Suguru says with a smirk. Satoru is silent, knowing what Suguru’s telling the truth and if he tries to say otherwise, he’ll call him out on it. They make it down to the beach after their short walk, and spot a daybed with linen curtains draped over it flowing in the light ocean breeze. They drop their towels onto the bed and Satoru immediately sprints into the water, splashing like crazy the entire way. Suguru chuckles to himself as he sets his book down and covers it with his towel and goes to join Satoru in the water.
“Come on! It’s perfect!” Satoru calls out, trying to hurry Suguru along.
“I’m coming, I’m coming, calm down.” Suguru murmurs as he finally wades into the water. The light blue water is the perfect temperature to combat the hot afternoon sun. Satoru almost immediately splashes Suguru as he gets closer to him. “Hey!” Suguru shouts, trying to shield himself from his attack. Once he gets close enough, he starts splashing him back, but much more effectively.
“Ah! Okay, okay! That’s enough!” Satoru shouts, quickly surrendering to Suguru’s relentless splashing.
“So quick to give up, huh?” Suguru teases as he stops splashing and stands next to Satoru as they bob up and down in the calm waves. Satoru wraps his arms around Suguru’s shoulders and subsequently, his legs around his hips. Suguru holds underneath Satoru’s legs as he hangs onto him like a koala.
Satoru smiles at Suguru as their faces rest just inches apart. He closes the gap and presses his lips to Suguru’s, tasting the salt of the ocean on his mouth. Suguru reciprocates, licking his tongue lightly along Satoru’s bottom lip. He feels him smile against his lips and pulls away suddenly, pulling a whine from him.
“Suguruuuu.” Satoru whines. “I just want to kiss youuu.” He draws out his words, looking at Suguru with puppy dog eyes and his bottom lip stuck out in a pout.
“You see, Toru… I think you have ulterior motives.” Suguru says, teasing lightly.
“Of course I do.” Satoru says, rolling his eyes like it was already obvious. Suguru chuckles lightly before Satoru lets go and floats by himself for a moment. “This feels so nice.” Satoru says, the water rippling over his shoulders while he floats on his back. Suguru watches him fondly, thinking about how lucky he feels to have Satoru in his life.
They float around in the warm water for a while before Suguru finally decides to go up and sit on the beach and read for a while. Satoru’s sunglasses sit beside their towels, so he picks them up and puts them on, using them to shield his eyes while he reads. He dries off and lays down on the daybed while Satoru continues floating around in the water and picking up whatever things he finds in the sand. “Gugu, look at this!” Satoru shouts out as he holds up a large shell that he found while walking around in the shallow water.
“Nice!” Suguru shouts back, smiling wide at how excited Satoru is about his discovery. He continues reading through his book, looking up every so often when Satoru would call out to him. The sea breeze is soothing as it flows over his damp salty skin. The beaming sun is filtered through the linen curtains draped over the frame covering the bed, making it the perfect temperature to sit there and read. He sits propped up against the large fluffy cushions, not even noticing when Satoru finally comes out of the water and up to where he sits.
He dries off and sits down at the edge of the cushion, looking back at Suguru as he leans back on his elbows, holding the book in front of him with his knees bent and splayed out wide. Satoru crawls up the middle of the bed and lays down on his stomach right in between Suguru’s legs, snaking his arms up and around his waist as he lays on his stomach. His chin rests on Suguru’s stomach as he looks up, waiting for Suguru to pay attention to him.
“Suguru.” Satoru’s long legs are splayed wide behind him, his feet hanging off the edges of the bed. “Suguru… Sugu.” He continues, starting to poke Suguru’s book to try to get him to pay attention to him while Suguru does his best to ignore him. “Suguruuuuuuuuu.” Satoru draws out. Suguru finally puts his bookmark in the book and sets it to the side.
“Yes my darling angel?” Suguru asks sarcastically, his face waiting for him to continue what was so important. Satoru’s sunglasses sit low on his nose as he looks over the edges down at him.
“Pay attention to me.” Satoru commands.
Suguru looks at him blankly for a moment, nothing but the noise of the waves crashing on the shore and the light breeze flowing past. “Is that really what you’re acting like this for?” Satoru nods his head enthusiastically before Suguru picks back up his book and continues right where he left off, now using Satoru’s head as a stand to keep his book upright. Satoru furrows his eyebrows behind the book before laying his head back down in Suguru’s lap.
He lays there peacefully for a while before Suguru feels a set of teeth on the skin of his stomach.
“Did you just bite me?” Suguru asks, setting his book down once again, holding his finger in between the pages to hold his spot.
“You love it when I bite you.” Satoru says, looking up at him, his mouth still sitting right next to the bare skin that he just lightly sank his teeth into.
“Yeah, under different circumstances.” Suguru admits, looking to the side with a slight grin.
“Come on, bangs.” Satoru says, looking up at Suguru through his eyelashes.
Suguru furrows his brows down at him. “Did- Did you just call me bangs?” Suguru asks, surprised by the suddenly new nickname.
“Yeah.”
“Alright toe, listen here. How about you let me finish this chapter and then we can go back and shower and eat dinner, yeah?”
“Why toe?” Satoru asks, looking up at Suguru confused and completely ignoring the rest of his suggestion.
“You know, like Sa-toe-ru.” Suguru says with a shrug. “It makes sense.”
Satoru shakes his head with a smile on his face. “It’s alright.”
“Alright?! I’ve been sitting on this one for weeks.” Suguru explains, now completely forgetting about his book.
“I just think you could’ve done better. It’s not the worst though. Better than Gogo, at least.” Satoru looks up at Suguru with the sweetest eyes he can muster. “Can we pleaseee go back now?” Satoru whines, wanting to head back.
“You can head back now, but I’m finishing this chapter.” Suguru says, focusing on his book once again. Satoru lets out a groan and settles back down, laying his head on Suguru’s lap and deciding to patiently wait for him to finish, knowing that he isn’t going to change his mind.
Suguru finally finishes his chapter after what Satoru swears are hours, but in reality, it’s only about ten minutes. When Suguru sticks his book mark back in and closes his book, Satoru immediately jumps up, excited to head back. He grabs all their things, not wanting Suguru to have an excuse to take any longer. Satoru nearly drags Suguru back to the villa, wanting to get into the shower already.
“Sugu, come on!” Satoru whines, trying to pull him along. They make it back and Satoru immediately heads into the bathroom to turn the shower on. Suguru puts his book and Satoru’s sunglasses on the nightstand before following Satoru into the bathroom.
“What are you so eager for?” Suguru asks with a hidden smirk, fully knowing the answer to his own question. Satoru is already in the outdoor shower when Suguru makes it into the bathroom. He chuckles to himself as he steps through the door leading outside.
Satoru is standing under the water already, rubbing the feeling of the ocean water and sand from his face when Suguru finally joins him. The evening sun peeks over the sides of the privacy wall, letting them shower while the sun begins to slowly set over the ocean. He stands behind him and rests his hands on the sides of Satoru’s shoulders before pressing a tender kiss to the side of his neck.
“Suguru…” Satoru says in a warning tone. “Please don’t tease me like that if you’re not going to follow through.”
“You think I should listen to you when you’ve been acting like a brat since we got here?” Suguru asks, his mouth right next to Satoru’s ear as he talks, leaving shivers up his back and arms.
Satoru turns around and looks at Suguru with begging eyes. “But yesterday you said if I behave-” Suguru immediately cuts him off.
“And you think you’ve behaved?” Suguru asks with one eyebrow raised. Satoru shuts his mouth, tucking his lips in between his teeth. “Exactly.” Suguru says with a smirk as he wraps his arms around Suguru’s shoulders and pulls him closer.
“But I will, Sugu, I promise.” Satoru says as he jets out his bottom lip into a pout.
“Actions speak louder than words, y’know?” Suguru says with a slight teasing tone in his voice. Satoru rolls his eyes and lets his head fall back with an exasperated groan.
“You’re just cruel.” Satoru says, using the same response from the previous night. Suguru smiles at him, his face unchanged. They finish rinsing off before stepping back inside and drying off. Satoru stands at the mirror with a towel wrapped low around his hips and Suguru does the same as he dries his hair.
Suguru gets his hair most of the way dry and throws it up haphazardly into a bun while Satoru waits on the bed wearing absolutely nothing. “Are you trying to seduce me now?” Suguru asks with a slight chuckle, walking out of the bathroom through the bedroom towards the kitchen wearing just a pair of shorts. Satoru doesn’t say anything and just watches as Suguru continues out of the room. He sits up with a huff and pulls on shorts of his own, deciding to follow him out.
They had decided earlier in the day to order dinner from one of the resort restaurants to be delivered, so they eat their dinner while they snuggle up on the couch and watch a movie in the living room together. The setting sun comes through the wall of windows, painting the entire house with a warm golden light like no other. After they finish with their food, Suguru sits back with his arm up on the back of the couch and Satoru cuddles up into him, wrapping his arms around his torso and resting his head on the warm bare skin of his chest as they sit together under one of the soft fluffy blankets on the couch.
Suguru continues watching the movie, but quickly notices Satoru has stopped paying attention entirely and has made it his life’s mission to make it impossible for Suguru to pay attention as well. Instead, he’s started to leave soft kisses on Suguru’s chest and up towards the bottom of his neck. Suguru leans his head back almost involuntarily to allow Satoru to keep working his way up with his warm lips. No matter how much he enjoys toying with and teasing Satoru, he wants him just as bad. Suguru can feel the smile on Satoru’s soft lips as they press against his neck over and over again, not leaving an inch unkissed. He stops just below Suguru’s jaw to suck lightly, quickly leaving a purple mark on his neck. Suguru smiles, knowing what he’s doing, and this time, he’s decided to let him continue.
Satoru continues kissing and sucking lightly all over Suguru’s neck and jaw, leaving faint purple marks on his skin before he moves up to kiss on his ear. He presses a kiss right below it before he takes Suguru’s earlobe in between his teeth, biting it gently and tugging on it before letting go again.
Suguru has to restrain himself from letting out a groan at the feeling, not wanting to give in just yet. “Satoru?” Suguru softly asks, the smile apparent in his voice. Satoru hums in response, acting completely clueless. “What are you doing?” Suguru asks although he already knows the answer.
Satoru pulls away and looks up at Suguru with a cheeky smile. “Nothin.’”
“Hm.” Suguru says, looking down his nose at Satoru. “Interesting.” He looks back at the tv. “It just seems to me like you’re trying to do something…” Satoru smiles as he almost immediately dives back in to continue leaving kisses on Suguru’s neck. He inhales slowly, letting his head tilt back once again as his eyes flutter closed, taking in the feeling of Satoru’s lips leaving wet kisses in the perfect spots. Damn him for knowing me so well. “Sweetheart?”
The way it melts out of his mouth makes Satoru smile against his skin once again. “Mmhm?” Satoru hums again in response. Suguru feels his breath tickle the soft skin of his neck.
“Why don’t you just tell me what it is that you want?” He asks, his hand starting to rub gentle circles on Satoru’s back. He knows full well what Satoru wants, but needs to hear him say it first. Satoru pulls back from where he’s attached to Suguru’s neck and looks up at him with an almost desperate look on his face.
“Sugu, I’ve been telling you since we got here that I want you.” He says, the end of his sentence turning more into a whine than anything else. Suguru smiles at him, the needy look in his eyes almost making him break… Almost.
“Baby, I’m right here.” He answers completely seriously, trying to play dumb for as long as he can.
Satoru rolls his eyes. “You know that’s not what I mean.”
“I’m not so sure that I do know what you mean?” Suguru continues to play dumb, enjoying seeing how absolutely crazy it drives Satoru.
Satoru lets out his breath with a huff as his head falls back, his eyes closed with a pained look on his face before he looks back at Suguru with furrowed brows. “I know what you’re doing here, Gugu.”
“Oh really? And what exactly is it that I’m doing?” Suguru asks with a playful smirk.
“You’re denying me my basic human needs.” Satoru says dramatically, making Suguru let out a chuckle at his insane explanation. “I’m serious!”
“Are you sure you need it?” Suguru asks with a raised brow. Satoru nods his head eagerly, thinking he’s finally going to get what he’s been waiting so impatiently for. “I think you just want it.”
“Okay, I want it.” Satoru says, shaking his head. “What’s your point?” His legs quickly find their way thrown across Suguru’s lap as he pulls himself closer. Suguru takes a deep breath as he feels Satoru’s weight shift to sit on his lap. He tries his best to focus on not getting hard yet, because where’s the fun in teasing Satoru like this if he has something to work with?
“Baby, what kind of boyfriend would I be if I just gave you everything you wanted all the time?” Suguru asks sweetly.
“A good one?” Satoru looks down with a smirk and a glint in his eye, knowing full well that he’s being a smartass to try to get a rise out of his stubborn boyfriend.
“Tch.” Suguru clicks his tongue before he chuckles once again, surprised he didn’t see that answer coming. His hand unexpectedly reaches up to grab the back of Satoru’s hair, holding it snugly in between his fingers as he tilts his head slightly back, making the delicate skin of his neck more accessible.
“Hah-” Satoru breathes out at the feeling, a crazed smile quickly spreading across his face as Suguru leans in close to his neck. Satoru shivers at the feeling of his warm breath tickling the skin just below his ear.
“You really don’t realize just how much of a spoiled brat you are, do you?” Suguru whispers before pressing a single hot tender kiss to Satoru’s neck, pulling a soft whine from the back of his throat. He smiles at the sound, finding it a thousand times harder to hold back now.
“I think you should show me.” Satoru whispers back, thinking he’s finally won. Suguru’s face falters for a moment while he thinks before letting go of Satoru’s hair and sitting back, resting his hands lightly on Satoru’s legs that sit on either side of his hips.
“Hm, I don’t think so.” Suguru says, shaking his head, trying to seem unimpressed, but inside he’s screaming for it just as bad as Satoru is. He’s having a little too much fun teasing him like this to give it up now.
Satoru’s expression quickly falls, thinking he for sure had finally been successful. His brows furrow as he slowly shifts the way he’s sitting. Suguru does his best to keep a straight face as Satoru slowly grinds his hips downwards, moving in slow, smooth circles. Satoru smirks as he feels Suguru starting to get hard underneath him. “Just because you make me hard doesn’t mean I have to fuck you.” Suguru says, meeting Satoru’s eyes with his eyebrows raised. He does everything in his power to hide how good it actually feels because unfortunately, both of them are equally as stubborn when it comes to their own convictions.
“I know,” Satoru starts with a cheeky smile on his face, continuing to slowly move his hips around. Suguru’s face changes to one of uncertainty, not completely sure of what he means by that. Satoru leans back down to continue kissing Suguru’s neck while he straddles his hips. “You don’t have to.” Suguru is slightly surprised at Satoru’s seemingly sudden change in approach.
“And what do you mean by that?” Suguru asks, now curious.
Satoru tosses the blanket to the side before he climbs off of Suguru and kneels on the floor in front of the couch. “You’ll find out soon enough.” The smug smirk on Satoru’s face as he kisses down Suguru’s bare tattooed chest and stomach is one of someone with a plan. Suguru quickly realizes what he’s doing while Satoru starts giving soft kisses to his hardened cock straining against his shorts. He finally decides to stop talking and just watch as Satoru kisses it through the fabric. He inhales sharply through his nose when Satoru’s hand finally reaches up to massage him through his shorts for a moment before impatiently hooking his fingers into the waistband.
“So desperate to have my cock in your mouth you can’t even wait any longer?” Suguru teases as he lifts up his hips to allow Satoru to pull his shorts off, although he’s just as desperate to feel Satoru’s hot mouth around him. Satoru doesn’t answer as he looks at the sight in front of him like it’s his first time.
“So beautiful.” Satoru mutters with a smile and eyes full of admiration. Suguru can’t help but blush at his comment, shaking his head as he breathes slowly. Satoru takes it in his hand and gives it a few slow pumps, looking up at Suguru’s eyes the entire time, waiting for a reaction. Suguru inhales deeply once again, doing his best to remain expressionless. “Really? You’re gonna give me nothing?” Satoru asks, raising his eyebrows with surprise. Suguru can’t help but laugh lightly at his reaction. “There’s my pretty Sugu’s laugh.” Satoru praises as he leans down to press a few kisses up the side and finally on the tip, feeling the hot skin against his lips. “Could listen to it all day long.” Satoru continues, looking up from his spot on the floor.
Suguru finally lets a smile stay on his face. He won’t say it out loud, but he wants to feel the back of Satoru’s throat more than anything right now. What the fuck is he doing to me? Suguru is almost always the one in charge, but right now he can’t help but nearly drool at the way this is making him feel. I think I could get used to this. Satoru quickly takes his mind off of it when his warm mouth closes around the tip of his aching cock. He watches for a moment, taking in the utterly perfect sight in front of him.
Satoru traces his tongue around Suguru’s leaking tip before pulling away for a moment, leaving his tongue hanging out his mouth. The string of saliva mixed with precum connecting Satoru’s tongue to Suguru’s pleading tip is enough to make Suguru’s hips shift upwards, nearly chasing after Satoru’s mouth as he pulls away. He has to hold back the noise that wants to escape from deep in his chest, but Satoru notices the look on his face anyways.
“Not so nice when it happens to you, huh?” Satoru teases, looking up at Suguru with innocent eyes.
Suguru shakes his head as his nose scrunches slightly. “Fuck you.” He breathes out, looking down at Satoru with darkened eyes.
“You want to, huh?” Satoru continues teasing, holding his hand firmly around the base of Suguru’s cock, not loosening his grip whatsoever.
Fuck. Where the hell did this version of my boyfriend come from? Suguru thinks to himself. Satoru finally lowers his mouth around him once again, this time going further than just the tip. Suguru finally lets out a groan from deep in his throat, letting Satoru know how good he’s already doing as he continues. Even when Suguru’s head falls back over the edge of the couch, Satoru’s eyes stay focused up on his face, wanting to see every reaction from him. Suguru’s eyes fall shut and his mouth hangs open, his chest moving more as his breathing picks up slightly.
“Shit, baby. Doing so fucking good.” Suguru hisses as one of his hands laces itself into Satoru’s snowy hair, holding onto his head gently as he continues taking him deeper and deeper. Satoru hums happily around his cock, looking up through his bright eyelashes and into Suguru’s dark honeyed eyes. “Mmm.” Suguru hums back in response, the vibrations from Satoru’s mouth feeling absolutely incredible.
The sun has mostly set, leaving them in the warmly lit house, surrounded by glass and the trees outside, but all they can focus on is one another. Satoru has one hand on Suguru’s thigh and the other gently massaging his balls as he takes him all the way into his mouth and throat. Tears are starting to brim the edges of his eyes and his mouth stings from the stretch, but he doesn’t care whatsoever. He would do anything to see Suguru just like this. His jaw is stiff and his throat is starting to become sore, so he takes the hand that rests on Suguru’s thigh and replaces his mouth with it, keeping up the same pace he had.
“How do I look, Suguru?” A mixture of drool and precum falls from his bright pink puffy lips down his chin onto Suguru’s shiny cock as he says it. His eyes are misty with tears threatening to spill over the edges and down his rosy pink cheeks.
Suguru’s hips jerk uncontrollably as he says it. “Fuck, Satoru.” He says shakily, his chest heaving up and down. If he didn’t have more self control, he would’ve cum just at his words. “Gonna fucking cum with you looking like that.” He warns, looking down at him with pink cheeks and his mouth slightly open, his bangs starting to stick to his forehead.
“Well we don’t want that, now do we?” Satoru says, looking up at Suguru with a fake pout, almost like he’s mocking him. Suguru shakes his head and lets out a chuckle as he grabs Satoru by the chin, leaning forward and pulling him up to meet him. Their lips crash together, a slick but sticky mess as Suguru quickly slips his tongue inside, tasting himself as he licks needily into his mouth. Satoru lets his tongue push back, smiling as Suguru lets out a deep moan into his mouth. Satoru is the first to pull away this time, standing up and quickly pulling off his shorts and kicking them off to the side. Before Suguru even has time to react, Satoru has one leg on either side of his hips, straddling him on the couch.
Suguru’s hands make their way up Satoru’s back, spreading his fingers wide and pulling his body as close as possible and back in for another kiss. Satoru smiles against Suguru’s mouth as he grinds his hips down against his still slick length. “Mmmh.” Suguru groans into Satoru’s mouth as he feels his weight press down. Satoru reaches down between them and grabs Suguru’s cock to position it against himself. Suguru looks up at him, waiting patiently until he finally sinks down painfully slowly.
“Ahh, fuck. So big, Sugu.” Satoru breathes out as he lowers himself, feeling Suguru slowly stretching him out and filling him up. He continues until he’s sitting all the way down on Suguru’s lap, flush against each other, waiting there for a moment before moving.
“You look so fucking pretty like this, baby.” Suguru says, looking up at Satoru with an enamored smile on his face. Satoru has a look of gratification on his face as he finally has what he wants; or so he thinks. He grabs onto Suguru’s shoulders holding onto him as he finally lifts himself back up and lowers himself once again, slowly starting to ride Suguru.
“Ah, f-fuck.” He stutters out, feeling the emptiness and fullness again as he slowly raises and lowers himself on Suguru’s cock. Suguru watches with a smirk on his face.
“You’re already squeezing me so tight, baby.” He says in a gravely tone. “Love watching you bounce up and down on my cock.” Satoru’s eyes are screwed shut, unable to focus on anything other than the feeling of Suguru deep inside of him. “You can’t even speak, can you?” Suguru asks, teasing him with a chuckle. Satoru’s eyes open and he looks down at Suguru as he continues bouncing up and down.
“Fuck… Yo-u.” He manages to get out, his voice just as shaky at his breathing. Suguru cracks a cheeky smile as he watches, locking his fingers together behind his head and leaning back as he watches Satoru fall apart on top of him.
“It’s been- what?- 30 seconds, and you're already like this?” Suguru teases, looking at the beautiful view on top of him. Satoru stops for a moment, his thighs already starting to burn from being on top. He lets out a whiny moan as he wiggles his hops around, feeling Suguru reaching where he could never with just his own fingers. “Done already?” Satoru lets out another whine as he looks down at Suguru. “Do I need to do everything for you?” He asks, unclasping his hands from behind his head and grabbing at Satoru’s ass, digging his fingers into the flesh before lifting him up on his own and dropping him back down.
“Ah, shit!” Satoru cries out as he continues, now with Suguru’s help. The lewd sound of skin slapping together fills the living room, completely drowning out the sound of the long forgotten movie that they had been watching. “Nngh-” Satoru’s legs feel like they’re going to give out beneath him, but Suguru is doing most of the work lifting him up and slamming him back down on his cock.
“You’re really tired already?” Suguru teases again when he stops helping and Satoru stills once again, sitting there feeling full of Suguru’s cock. Satoru looks down at him, breathing heavily with his mouth hanging slightly ajar. Suguru shakes his head with a smirk. “Hold on.” He commands Satoru as he grabs onto the bottom of his thighs. Satoru immediately listens and wraps his arms around the back of his shoulders, resting his head in the crook of his neck as Suguru leans forward and stands up, successfully keeping himself inside. He hurries through the kitchen and back towards the bedroom before tossing Satoru on the bed.
The smile on Satoru’s face is one of victory, knowing that he’s finally getting what he wants. He lays on his back, looking up with a smirk while Suguru stands at the edge of the bed. Suguru grabs Satoru’s hips and pulls him towards the edge and flips him over so that he’s on his knees. With no warning whatsoever, Suguru thrusts himself back into Satoru’s tight hole, earning a shriek of surprise from him.
“Ah! Fuck, Sugu!” Satoru cries out, not expecting him to start up again so suddenly. He feels Suguru’s fingers digging into the sides of his waist, holding on tightly as he fucks relentlessly into him. “Sugu,” He manages to breathe out. “The doors are still open.” Satoru points out.
“Baby, I don’t care if the whole fucking island hears.” Suguru growls out. The next villa wasn’t necessarily close, but close enough to hear if you’re being as loud as Satoru is.
“Fu-u-ck.” Satoru cries out, his long fingers gripping the sheets beneath him as Suguru continues drilling deep into him. Suguru lets out an almost animalistic groan at the feeling of Satoru squeezing around his cock. He slows down for a moment before stopping, looking down at the way Satoru’s back arches and his arms are shoved out in front of him. Satoru whines as soon as he feels Suguru’s hips still. “Don’t stop.” He pushes himself back up on his hands before starting to push himself back against Suguru, moving himself if Suguru won’t do it for him. “Ah-ah-ngh.”
Suguru looks down at the view in front of him, his mouth open as he watches Satoru’s ass bounce back against his hips, watching his cock disappear completely into him. “Fuck. Yeah, fuck yourself with my cock, baby, just like that.” Satoru turns back to look at Suguru as he continues, his mouth hanging open and his eyebrows screwed together as his hair hangs in front of his eyes. “My pretty Toru.” He says before kneeling on the bed and readjusting the two of them towards the top of the mattress. Suguru quickly replaces his hands on either side of Satoru’s waist and continues his rough, deep thrusts once again.
Satoru shoves his face down into the pillows as whiny moans slip from his mouth, his eyes rolling back into his head as his legs start to feel shaky underneath himself. He reaches back towards Suguru, smiling dumbly when he feels Suguru’s hand grab tightly onto his.
“How’s my pretty toru doing?” Suguru questions, not bothering to slow down whatsoever. Loud obscene sounds of their bodies slapping together echo throughout the room and out into the outside through the open doors. “Regretting acting like a brat?” He lands a swift smack on Satoru’s ass, earning a loud mewl from him and quickly leaving a red mark from where his hand hit. Both of their bodies are covered in a sheen of sweat, shiny and sticky from the activity.
Satoru lifts his head from the pillows, steadying himself on shaky arms. “Never.” He says, turning back to look at Suguru with an alluring smirk on his rosy pink face.
“Fuck, I love you.” Suguru says, seeing the fucked out look on Satoru’s face. He slows down for a moment, leaning over to press a few tender kisses to Satoru’s back. “If you want me to fuck you like the cock-hungry whore that you are, why don’t you just ask nicely, baby? You don't have to be such a brat.” Suguru keeps thrusting deep into him with every word, feeling Satoru’s walls squeezing him tighter than ever before.
Satoru can’t help but cry out loudly into the pillow as Suguru hits the sweet spot deep inside him over and over again, seemingly effortlessly. He quickly feels himself coming close to the edge, knowing that he’s going to cum any second. “Shit, Sugu, slow down, gonna cum.” He says weakly, turning around to look up at Suguru with misty eyes.
Suguru hears him but ignores him, not caring. “So cum for me then.” He says darkly, breathing heavily and keeping up with the same vigorous pace. Satoru holds his bottom lip in between his teeth, fruitlessly trying to hold back his cries as he tips over the edge, Suguru continuing to relentlessly thrust into him.
“F-fuuck, Sugu, ah- hah- hahh.” He draws out as his muscles contract while Suguru fucks him through his orgasm. “Shi-i-it.” He mewls, Suguru hitting his sweet spot over and over as he climaxes, cum spilling out onto the bed sheets beneath him. His knees start to actually give out underneath him, but Suguru holds his hips up as he keeps going. “Ah-hah, too much Sugu, slow down.” He begs weakly, turning back to look at Suguru.
Shaking his head, Suguru does anything but slows down. “You wanted this baby, you’re gonna get it.” Suguru has a smirk on his face as he chases after his own orgasm, the feeling of Satoru’s walls quivering around him trying to pull it from him. He lets Satoru’s hips fall and leans over him, continuing to fuck his cock into him as he lays there face down in the pillows. “Look at you,” Suguru says, his voice gravelly as he speaks, leaning on his elbows that are now on either side of Satoru’s body as he drills down into him from behind. “Fucked you dumb, didn’t I?” He asks, not expecting an answer from Satoru.
“Mmm-ngh.” Satoru manages to get out as he feels his legs shaking uncontrollably. The wave of euphoria washing over him combined underneath the weight of Suguru on top of him is almost too much, tears threatening to spill over the edges of his eyes.
“Yeah, I did, didn’t I?” Suguru teases, answering his own question while chuckling lightly at Satoru’s inability to actually answer. His core starts to tighten, starting to feel himself inch closer and closer to the edge, while Satoru feels himself quickly building towards a second orgasm.
Nothing but muffled whimpers escape Satoru as he quickly grows oversensitive, feeling overstimulated by everything happening around him. He lifts his head up out of the pillows, tears spilling out of his eyes and down his cheeks as he sobs blissfully at the feeling of Suguru slamming his cock into him. He cries out loudly as Suguru hits his sweet spot over and over again, showing no sign of slowing down. Suguru’s teeth sink into the flesh of Satoru’s shoulder, leaving marks before pressing kisses to each one of the bite marks he leaves behind.
Suguru keeps pressing kisses to the back of Satoru’s shoulder, hearing his cries as he continues, feeling close, himself. “Fuck, baby. You’re squeezing me so tight, ‘m gonna cum.” He says into Satoru’s ear as he continues leaving kisses all over his skin, comforting him as he bullies his hole mercilessly. He suddenly spills himself into Satoru without any more warning, resulting in more loud cries from Satoru as he feels Suguru’s hot load filling him up. “Oh my fucking god, holy shit.” Suguru spits out curses as he tips over the edge.
Unable to speak, Satoru practically sees stars as he cums for a second time, whimpering weakly as Suguru continues fucking him through his own orgasm. His walls contract around Suguru, effectively milking him of every last drop. “Fuck, baby, you cumming again?” Suguru teases him as he slowly comes to a stop, lying still on top of Satoru for a moment to catch his breath. Their skin sticks together, pressed against each other as Suguru leaves soft kisses to Satoru’s shoulders. Satoru breathes heavily underneath him, just waiting until Suguru finally lifts his weight off of the top of him.
Suguru pulls out of Satoru, watching mesmerized as his cum spills out of Satoru’s hole. What a fucking sight. He leans over and presses a soft kiss to Satoru’s back before laying down next to him for a moment, calming down after his high. “You okay sweetheart?” Suguru asks, still breathing heavily as he looks over at Satoru who still lays face down in the pillows.
A muffled, “Mmhm,” comes out from an unmoving Satoru. Suguru lets out a slight chuckle as he throws his legs over the edge of the bed and stands up. “Stay right there, okay?” He says as he heads into the bathroom. He hears another, “Mmhm,” from Satoru, making him smile to himself, a feeling of pride having successfully fucked him within an inch from his life. He goes to turn on the faucet to get the bathtub filling up and hurries back through the bedroom and out towards the kitchen.
The open doors allow the cool evening breeze to flow through the house, successfully cooling him off and bringing in the salty smell of the ocean that successfully masks the smell of sex that lingers behind. He quickly grabs a glass of water and fills it up, also grabbing one of the small brownie pies that Satoru had picked out from one of the shops they had gone into earlier in the day. He takes a sip of the water as he makes his way back into the bedroom and sets it, as well as the pie down on the nightstand beside the bed, seeing Satoru still laying motionless in the pillows.
He hurries into the bathroom to make sure the tub isn’t getting too full and to add some bubbles before going back out to check on Satoru. “Baby?” He coos in a sickly sweet voice. “Are you okay?” He asks, sitting down on the edge of the bed and running his hand delicately over Satoru’s back. Satoru turns his head to look at Suguru with a tired smile, his hair a mess and his face still rosy pink.
“Mmhm.” He says with his eyes closed and a smile on his face. Suguru leans over and presses a delicate kiss to his temple, looking at him with all the love in the world behind his eyes as he brushes Satoru’s hair back out of his eyes.
“Do you want me to carry you?” He asks, now sure if Satoru can walk. He’s not surprised when he lets out another, “Mmhm,” with the tired smile still on his face. “Can you say anything else?”
Satoru shakes his head. “Mm-mm.” Suguru chuckles lightly, standing back up and carefully flipping him over and slipping his arms underneath his legs and behind his back and picking him up. He carries him into the bathroom and sets him gently into the tub, not almost full with water and bubbles. He hurries back to grab the glass of water and the brownie pie and brings them into the bathroom, setting them on the tray that rests across the large tub.
“Drink water.” He commands in a gentle yet demanding tone as he heads back out to quickly strip the messy sheets off of the bed. Satoru smiles at him from his spot in the bath and immediately reaches for the brownie instead. Suguru smiles back at him as he hurries back in and climbs into the tub opposite of him and turns off the faucet. “Was that what you wanted?” Suguru asks, a teasing smile on his face and raised eyebrows as he sinks down into the water, the heat instantly starting to soothe his muscles.
Satoru nods his head with a tired smile on his face as he chews and swallows the small treat that Suguru brought him. “Everything and more.” He says, picking up the glass to wash down the brownie with a sip of water. Suguru gently rubs Satoru’s leg under the water as it rests next to him, looking at him with a smile.
“Good.”
They sit quietly in the warm bath until the water turns cool, just enjoying each other’s company and the sound of the waves crashing in the distance. Satoru is the first to stand up and climb out of the tub, grabbing a towel to dry himself off before heading into the closet. He pulls on a pair of sweats and a tshirt while Suguru dries himself off and drains the tub. He follows after Satoru and heads into the closet and gets dressed before heading back out to the bedroom to see him sitting on the couch outside of their room that overlooks the pool.
Satoru sits there now with the small box of brownies from the kitchen, eating one as Suguru joins him, sitting down next to him. He reaches into the box that sits in Satoru’s lap and grabs one as he rests his other arm behind him along the back of the couch. Taking a bite and looking over at Satoru with a smile, he speaks up. “These are delicious. You picked a good set.”
Satoru rests his head on Suguru’s shoulder, popping the rest of the brownie in his fingers into his mouth. “I know my sweets, Gugu.” He says smugly. The cool night breeze blows past them, the heat emitting from their bodies keeping each other warm. Satoru lifts his head to look at Suguru and puts his arm behind his head before pulling the hair tie out of his hair, letting Suguru’s hair flow freely down over his shoulders.
Suguru looks at him with a questioning look. “Why?” He doesn’t bother asking a full question.
“I like it when your hair’s down. You’ve had it up all night.” Satoru explains, brushing his fingers carefully through his long raven locks. Suguru smiles, closing his eyes at the feeling, taking that as an acceptable answer. Satoru keeps the hair tie on his wrist and rests his head back down on Suguru’s shoulder. They sit in comfortable silence, eating their box of brownies until Satoru finally speaks up again. “Suguru?” He asks quietly.
“Yeah?” Suguru responds in the same calm, gentle voice.
“Do you think we’re meant to be together in every universe?” Satoru asks, his voice genuine as he speaks. Suguru furrows his brows, somewhat surprised at the random question, but smiling after thinking about it for a second.
He takes a deep breath, looking at the way the moonlight reflects off the glassy pool water in front of them. “I don’t care how cliché it sounds, but I would love you in every universe.”
Satoru sits there in silence for just a moment, seemingly thinking about Suguru’s answer. “Well…” He starts. Suguru turns his head, slightly craning his neck to look at Satoru as he lays on his shoulder. “Technically, there would be at least one where you didn’t.”
Suguru furrows his brows together and presses his lips together in a straight line as Satoru turns to look up at him. “Why the fuck did you ask then?” Suguru asks jokingly, looking at him with a confused look on his face.
Satoru smiles back up at him. “I wanted to see what you would say.”
“Do you also wanna ask me if I would love you if you were a worm while you’re at it? Because I’m not really a fan of bugs if I’m being honest.” Suguru says, his voice sounding slightly unimpressed.
Satoru’s mouth falls open with a dramatic gasp as he clutches his metaphorical pearls. “So you’re saying you wouldn’t love me in the universe where I’m a worm, but you would if I was a goblin shark?”
Suguru chuckles lightly at his response. “Maybe that’s the one, then.” He continues to play along with his ridiculous questioning, remembering their conversation from earlier in the day at the aquarium.
“Well good thing I’m not a worm then.” Satoru says, leaning his head back down on Suguru’s shoulder with a soft smile on his face. Suguru leans his head back, looking up at the sky and seeing the bright stars in the dark sky.
“Woah, you can really see the stars out here.” He says, looking up at the dark sky. Satoru looks up with him, the two of their heads leaning back over the edge of the couch. It was nothing like in the city where there was too much light pollution to see anything but the moon.
Satoru points to a bright star in the sky above them. “That’s Caph right there. Then if you look, you can see a kind of zig-zag shape and that’s the constellation Cassiopeia.” He says as Suguru listens intently, but is surprised at the sudden random knowledge from Satoru. “Though we can’t really see everything from down here, we should really be up on the roof.” Satoru continues, lifting his head back up. “Come on.” He motions, standing up and grabbing Suguru’s hand, and more importantly, the box of brownies.
“Why do you know that?” He asks, following Satoru without question as he stands up and heads inside. They make a stop in the kitchen to drop off the box of sweets, Satoru making sure to grab one more before they head up the large spiral staircase to the rooftop deck.
“It’s just interesting to me.” Satoru explains, taking a bite of the brownie as they ascend the stairs. “I’ll point out more constellations to you.”
They make it up to the roof and head out to lay down on the daybed that sits uncovered near the edge of the deck. Satoru lays down and pulls one of the pillows up under his head as Suguru lays down next to him, both of them flat on their backs. “Okay, so I showed you Cassiopeia, you see that one still?” He asks, doing his best to point it out to Suguru once again.
“Mmhm. Right there, right?” Suguru asks, also doing his best to point out the W-shaped constellation about two thirds of the way up in the sky.
“Exactly. If you follow the angle of the first and second star to the left, you see Alderamin. Do you see it?”
“I think so?” Suguru responds. It’s more of a question, not really sure if he’s looking in the correct spot at all.
“So now you can see these three stars connected to it in almost a square shape, and then a triangle kind of on the bottom of that. That’s the constellation Cepheus.”
“That’s so cool that you know that, baby.” Sugugu says, turning his head to look at Satoru with a smile.
“I know! Now pay attention!” He says, turning his head to look Suguru in the eye before motioning back up towards the sky. “If you look wayyyy up there, you can see Saturn.” Suguru chuckles silently to himself, just continuing to listen as Satoru rambles on about all the constellations that they can see in the sky above them. As the night goes on, his eyelids start to feel heavier and heavier, listening to Satoru’s voice and laying there with one of his legs thrown over Satoru’s. “Gugu, are you still listening or are you asleep?” Suguru hears, making his eyes shoot open as he inhales sharply.
“I’m awake.” He says, not sounding convincing whatsoever.
“We can go down and go to bed if you want. At this point, I’m just talking because you’re not stopping me.” Satoru clarifies. Suguru smiles, his eyes closing with it as Satoru sits up, leaning back on his hand as he looks down at Suguru.
“Are you sure? I like listening to you talk.” Suguru asks, opening his eyes and looking up at a smiling Satoru.
“Yeah. Also don’t worry, I can talk to you in bed, too, Suguboo. Come on, let's go to bed.” Satoru says before leaning down to press a soft kiss to Suguru’s lips, one to the tip of his nose, and one more to his forehead.
Suguru sits up, following Satoru back inside and down the stairs. They turn off all the lights as they make their way through the house and finally end up back in the bedroom, the doors to the outside still open. Satoru pulls them closed as Suguru brushes his teeth and hair before tossing his shirt in the closet and climbing into bed, having grabbed fresh sheets from the closet. Satoru finishes his own bedtime routine and quietly crawls into bed alongside Suguru, not surprised whatsoever to see that he’s already fast asleep, tired after their long and exciting day.
It’s just after 9:30 when Suguru finally gets back to his room. The last meeting ran a little long, and then afterwards, one of the many people Suguru and Nanami talked to during their day invited both of them to join a group going out for dinner. They agreed, both not having any plans and Suguru feeling especially hungry after their long day. After walking to a pub close to the hotel, Suguru enjoyed a burger along with a couple drinks, having a good time talking to the new people they had both met. He makes his way back on his own after a while, wanting to get ready for bed and talk to Satoru again.
“See you in the morning.” Suguru says to Nanami as he prepares to leave, making sure to thank everyone for inviting the two of them.
“See you at 10.” Nanami responds with a smile and a simple wave. Suguru makes his way back to the hotel, taking in his surroundings and doing some people watching as he walks. The streets are busy with people out for their Saturday night activities. He looks down at his phone as he walks, seeing a text from Satoru from a couple hours earlier.
‘What if we go to Okinawa????’ Suguru smiles to himself as he reads it, happy that Satoru’s been thinking about where to go on a trip.
‘Wherever you want baby’
He clicks send as he makes it to the elevator and heads up to his floor, thankfully not having to stop on any other before he makes it up. He’s a little bit surprised that Satoru doesn’t immediately text back, but assumes he’s probably not paying attention to his phone while he either bothers Shiro or watches a movie.
He saunters down the hallway, feeling only slightly affected from his few drinks at dinner. His cheeks are warm and surely they have a slightly pink flush to them. He finally notices how his entire body feels warm as he makes it back to his door. He uses his card to open the door and flicks the light on before locking the door behind himself. Kicking his shoes off and undoing his pants, Suguru’s ready to finally be out of work clothes after the long day. He folds the pants neatly and sets them to the side of his bag, doing the same with his shirt, setting it on top of the previously folded pants.
Heading into the bathroom, he looks at himself in the mirror for moment before starting on his bedtime routine. His cheeks are indeed slightly pink along with the slightly-tipsy happy look on his face. He starts by brushing his hair out after taking it down, letting out a satisfied sigh as the tension on his scalp from it being up all day is released. It’s nearly 10 when he finishes everything he needs to do and heads back out to the bed to lay down and finally relax. Laying on top of the covers, he grabs his phone from the nightstand, finally ready to call Satoru.
His fingers work quickly over his screen, excited to talk to him after being stuck in meetings all day. He presses the button to facetime him, ready to see his face smiling back at him. The phone rings a couple times before Satoru finally answers. That was the first thing to tip Suguru off that something is off. Without fail, when he calls, Satoru answers his phone by the second ring like his life absolutely depends on it; watching a movie, on a run, even in the shower a couple times.
“Hi Sugu.” Satoru answers, his voice slightly shaky as he answers the phone.
“Hi darling.” Suguru responds, really turning it on with the smile apparent in his voice. “Why did you only answer with the audio?”
“Oh, uh, I don’t know.” He answers, not even bothering to try and find an excuse. The way Satoru speaks has Suguru more suspicious almost immediately.
“Are you okay? You sound out of breath.” He asks, bringing his arm up to rest behind his head as he continues to look at himself in the corner and Satoru’s profile picture in the middle of the screen, not yet understanding why Satoru is being weird. One eyebrow is raised at his phone, despite Satoru not being able to see him.
“Yeah I’m fine, jus’ laying in bed…” He almost sounds like he just sprinted up a flight of stairs.
Suguru smiles, chuckling silently to himself and letting his head tilt back further. Oh, now I get it. “Are you sure that’s all you’re doing?” Suguru’s voice is coy as he says it, now starting to have a pretty good idea of what's going on on the other side of the phone. There’s a long silence and Satoru lets out a deep breath he had been holding in. “How come you didn’t answer the facetime, baby?” Suguru asks, the smirk on his face laced into his voice as he speaks.
“Sugu…” Satoru starts, realizing that he’s starting to catch on.
“Come on, where’s my pretty Toru?” Suguru urges, knowing that it won’t take much sweet talking to get Satoru to comply with his request. He’s now completely sure that Satoru isn’t just laying in bed. Satoru lets out a faint groan, trying to put it off. “Or…” Suguru starts, an idea entering his head. “I can hang up and you can keep doing what you’re doing alone.” He says, his eyebrows still raised.
Satoru lets out another groan before Suguru finally sees his face pop up on the screen, his head resting in his pillows, the light from the lamp on his nightstand softly illuminating his face. His cheeks are visibly pink, causing Suguru to smile, deciding to tease him.
“There’s my pretty Toru… In the middle of something?” Suguru asks, raising his eyebrows at Satoru with a smirk.
“Kinda…” Satoru responds, his breath slightly shaky as he lets it out.
“By all means, don’t let me stop you.” Suguru suggests, watching as Satoru’s eyes widen slightly before a smile creeps onto his face. He smiles as he looks at Satoru’s dimples on either side of his mouth, wishing he could feel them under his lips as he leaves quick pecks all over his cheeks.
“Suguruuu.” Satoru whines out, laying his head back further into the pillow, seeming surprisingly embarrassed for once.
“Baby, you didn’t have to answer, you know that, right?”
“But I wanted to.” He responds, his voice quiet, but an alluring smile on his face. His cheeks are still flushed pink, the thought of Suguru catching him in the act was somewhat of an exciting idea to him.
I love this little freak so much, Suguru thinks to himself, feeling smug. “Why don’t you flip the camera around?” Suguru’s voice is low and comes out of his mouth like warm honey. Satoru hesitates for just a moment before speaking up.
“What do you think you’re gonna see, hmm?” Satoru asks playfully, seemingly stalling, but more like his normal self.
“Baby, I think we both know what I’m gonna see.” Suguru says, poking his tongue in his cheek as he feels a growing hardness in between his legs. He palms himself through his underwear, his chest rising as he sucks in a deep breath through his nose at the feeling. Satoru twists his mouth to the side, furrowing his brows at Suguru who stares back at him, waiting for him to flip the camera.
He finally flips it around and Suguru is all but surprised to see Satoru’s hand wrapped firmly around the base of his cock. It looks shiny, coated in a mixture of precum and saliva, very obviously screaming for more attention. “Fuck, why didn’t you just answer like this?” Suguru asks with a smirk on his face, admiring the view.
“Don’t know.” Satoru responds with a smile, his words sounding almost out of breath as he speaks. He moves his hand up and down slowly a couple times, letting out a low groan at the feeling before stopping again.
“Don’t stop.” Suguru commands as he shakes his head, watching and waiting for him to continue. “Keep going.”
“So bossy.” Satoru teases as he starts off slowly pumping his hand up and down before quickly getting it back to the moderate pace he had going before Suguru called. His moans are restrained behind his lips as he keeps his bottom one tucked between his teeth. Suguru can tell by the minimal noises he’s making that he isn’t letting them all out.
“Baby, I wanna hear you too.” Suguru coos, continuing to massage himself through his underwear. “We both know you never shut up.”
Satoru lets out a soft chuckle which quickly turns into a moan as he continues his movements, his hips jerking upwards as he hits an overly sensitive spot. “Ah- mmmh.” He hums, his breath is shaky as he lets it out.
Suguru finally pushes his underwear down and off before taking his own cock in his hand, wincing and inhaling with a hiss at the feeling. His warm hand wraps around it, squeezing slightly before slowly starting to move his hand, the precum oozing from his throbbing tip acting as lube. He takes his own bottom lip in his mouth, his top teeth sinking into the flesh to keep his own noises subdued.
“Shit, ah- Sugu.” Satoru cries out.
“I’m right here, baby.” Suguru says, continuing to slowly stroke himself. His mouth hangs open as he lets out a shaky breath that Satoru is too preoccupied to fully notice.
“Wish you were h-here.” Satoru says, his words stuttering at the same time as his hips. “You do it so much better.”
Suguru smiles at his whiny words coming through loud and clear. “I’ll make it up to you, baby, don’t worry.” Satoru lets out another needy whine, although a smile still sits on his face hidden behind the camera. The speed of his hand picks up, as does Suguru’s along with him. “Let me see my pretty Toru.” Suguru breathes out, missing seeing his face already. Satoru flips the camera around, his cheeks flushed a dark pink and his eyebrows screwed together with his eyes begging for release; a real sight for sore eyes.
“Fuck.” Suguru lets out breathlessly as he continues pumping his own hand up and down. He finally decides to flip his own camera around. “See what you do to me, baby?” He asks, his voice sweet as he makes a mess of himself.
“Fuuuck, Sugu.” Satoru mewls out, paying full attention to his screen as he hears Suguru’s words. “Ne-ed to feel you.”
“I know, baby, I know.” Suguru says, his voice soothing although he chokes back moans of his own as he continues stroking his cock to the beautiful sight of Satoru’s pleasure filled face. “I’m all yours when I get home. Promise.” Suguru gets out, his own hips starting to uncontrollably twitch upwards. He feels the same as Satoru - it’s good, but nothing beats actually feeling him - the warmth of his mouth, the softness of his skin, his needy whimpers in person, not just through the phone. “Fuck.” He can tell just by the way his face screws together tighter and tighter that Satoru is close.
Satoru holds his phone further up away from himself, giving Suguru a view of everything. “Hah-nngh. Shit!” Satoru cries out, his lewd noises coming in loud and clear through the phone. His hand stops for just a moment as the sensitivity starts to get too much. “s’too much!”
“Don’t you dare fucking stop.” Suguru spits out, watching with a smirk as Satoru immediately obeys and keeps his hand going, a long string of moans and cries immediately spilling out of his mouth. “You’re so good for me, Toru. You gonna cum for me, baby?” Suguru’s voice is sweet, but also slightly whiny as he says it, also feeling himself nearing the edge as well. “Hmm?”
“Mmhmm,” Satoru hums, it sounding more like a weak whimper than anything. Suguru watches as Satoru flips the camera once again. Satoru’s hand keeps its swift pace on his slick cock as he lets out more and more obscene noises. Suguru lets his head fall back, the sound of Satoru’s sweet moans like music to his ears. “Ah, Sugu ‘m cummingh- ah” Satoru finally cries out, his hips jerking up to meet his hand while he cums and whimpers spill from his mouth into his dimly lit bedroom.
Suguru continues his hand, squeezing himself tighter and letting out a groan as he watches Satoru make a mess all over his stomach. “Shit,” Suguru hisses out, his hips twitching uncontrollably as his hand squeezes around his sensitive tip. “So fucking hot.” He gets out, choking back moans of his own. “Ah, Satoru-” He lets out, his voice similarly shaky to Satoru’s. Satoru turns the camera back around to face himself, but holds it away from his body again to show Suguru the mess he’d made on himself.
“You gonna cum, Sugu?” Satoru asks, his chest still heaving while he’s still panting, his cocky voice slightly teasing as he drags a finger through the milky white liquid on his stomach. Suguru watches as he brings it to his mouth, sticking his tongue out obscenely before his finger disappears into his mouth, his lips wrapped tightly around it and sucking it clean.
“Fuck, baby, yes- ah,” Suguru stutters out, his abs flexing as he feels himself begin to tip over the edge. “Just like that baby.” He groans, his grip on his phone as well as the grip on his cock tightening as he cums, quickly making a mess on himself just as Satoru had. “Ah- shi-it.” He says shakily as his hand slows and stills, quickly growing too sensitive.
“God, you’re so hot.” Satoru says, shaking his head, his voice coming in loud through Suguru’s phone speaker. Suguru laughs, turning the camera back around to face himself, still panting as he looks at a red faced and sweaty Satoru with a red and sweaty face of his own. “How did I get so lucky?”
Suguru smiles, not even looking at himself in the corner of the phone. He doesn’t seem to care how his bangs stick to his forehead, a sheen of sweat covering his body. “I ask myself that every day.” He takes slow deep breaths, coming down from his high, both of them still feeling languorous, almost ready to fall asleep.
“Suguru, stop being so cheesy.”
Suguru scoffs, sitting up to head to the bathroom to get himself cleaned up, deciding that he definitely needs to before doing anything else. “Cheesy?! I thought it was sweet.”
“It was… But it was also cheesy.”
“Whatever you say, honey.” Suguru says, his saccharine voice helping to disguise the sarcasm behind it. They both clean themselves up and find their way back into their respective beds. Suguru turns off the lights before pulling back the overs and climbing into bed, watching as Satoru pulls his own blanket up over himself. “So…” Suguru starts, looking at the screen with a smirk.
“So?” Satoru asks, waiting on Suguru to finish his thought.
“You couldn’t at least wait until after I called?” The smirk remains on his face as he now lays on his side, resting comfortably into the fluffy hotel pillows.
“You were taking forever!” Satoru whines, shoving his face and groaning into his pillow. “Just the thought of you is so sexy, I couldn't help it.”
“I thought after this morning you’d at least make it until tomorrow.” Suguru teases as he lets out a chuckle at Satoru’s excuse and explanation. “Did the wind hit you just right or something? I mean, damn, it’s been less than 15 hours.”
Satoru groans like he’s offended by the teasing, although the smile on his face says otherwise. “For your information…” He starts off dramatically, “It was a picture of you, actually.” Suguru’s eyebrows raise upon Satoru’s confession.
“Oh? What picture?” Suguru asks, teasing him with a smirk, wanting to know more.
Satoru doesn’t even think about it before answering, not even the slightest bit embarrassed. “Just one I took of you a while ago when you weren’t looking.”
“Really?” Suguru asks, now intrigued. “Can I see it?” He asks, not knowing if Satoru would let him see it or not.
“Already sent it to you.” Satoru says with a smile as the notification comes through to Suguru’s phone. He clicks on it and upon opening it up, he sees himself lying face down across Satoru’s bed, adorning nothing but the detailed tattoos etched onto his skin. His long dark hair isn't tied up in any way, left to fall over the crevasses of his shoulders and back as it so pleases. He’s resting his chin on the back of his hands stacked atop one another as he’s looking out the windows, the night sky dark and the city lights bright around them. Only part of his face is visible, but he has a wide, beaming smile as he looks out at the view in front of him, his eyes squeezed shut with the magnitude of his smile.
“This is what got you all riled up like that?” Suguru asks, chuckling lightly as he looks at the picture.
“Yes, Suguru. Any picture of you can get me riled up.” Satoru defends himself, trying to justify his reasoning. “Especially when your ass looks that good.”
They both chuckle at Satoru’s comment as Suguru continues looking at the picture with an eyebrow raised. An idea enters his head and he can’t get rid of it. “How many times have you jerked off to this?” Suguru asks bluntly, knowing that there’s no such thing as too personal between the two of them anymore when it comes to things like that.
“None before now.” Satoru replies.
“That’s a lie.” Suguru retorts right after Satoru finishes his answer.
“It is not!” Satoru cries out, having actually told him the truth. “Suguru, we’re always together, when do you think I have the time to?” Suguru lets out a sigh, knowing he’s right. “And I don't need to when I’ve got you.”
“I guess you’re right...”
“Hm… Sounds to me like you’re projecting.” Satoru says, furrowing his brows and pressing his lips together.
“What’s that supposed to mean?” Suguru asks, deciding to take the bait and play along. He cocks an eyebrow, looking at Satoru with a look of anticipation on his face.
“How often are you touching yourself to pictures of me?!” Satoru asks, his voice raising in pitch as he asks the question. Suguru smiles at his dramatic way of questioning, knowing that it’s all an act. “Answer the question!” He shouts. Suguru chuckles lightly and opens up his camera roll.
“I don’t, but I’ll show you one that I would use, I guess.” Suguru says, enjoying himself as he’s scrolling through his gallery to find the specific picture he has in mind. He quickly finds the picture he was thinking of, smiling to himself as he admires it for a moment before sending it to Satoru. Once again, it’s on Satoru’s bed, but Satoru is on his knees with his hips and ass up in the air while his chest is pressed down into the bed. One of his arms is outstretched in front of him while his face is tucked behind the other one as he looks up at Suguru and the camera with eyes that could seduce even a siren. He’s wearing just his underwear and one of Suguru’s shirts, although it’s bunched up at his chest after falling down the steep angle his back is arched up at. Suguru remembers the moment quite well, smiling smugly to himself as he waits for Satoru to see the picture.
“Oh damn.” Satoru exclaims, looking at the picture that Suguru sends him. “I would use this picture too.” Suguru laughs at his comment before Satoru keeps talking. “So you’re saying that you’ve never jerked off to this?”
“Correct.” Suguru affirms.
“Not even to the thought of me?”
“I didn’t say that.” Suguru says, glancing to the side as the words leave his mouth. His eyebrows scrunch together and his eyes narrow for a second, knowing that he’s opened a whole new can of worms for Satoru to pick through. Satoru’s mouth immediately opens with a gasp, turning into an open mouthed smile while his eyes widen at Suguru’s response.
“So you’ve thought of me while you touched yourself?”
“Satoru…” Suguru looks back at him with a blank expression on his face. He presses his lips together into a straight lipped expression.
“I just wanted to hear you say it.” Satoru whines. Suguru rolls his eyes as he shakes his head with a smile.
“Yes, Satoru. You’ve been on my mind before while I masturbated.” Suguru says dully.
“Why did you have to say it all un-sexy like that?”
“You were the one that wanted to hear it!”
“Was this before we were together?” Satoru asks, his tone playfully teasing. Suguru immediately feels his cheeks get warm, and probably a dark shade of pink. He’s thankful that the darkness of the room hides it well for him. He doesn’t respond, instead just poking his tongue into his cheek with a coy smile. “So that’s obviously a yes.”
“I didn’t say anything!”
“You don’t have to Gugu, I can tell!”
“You can tell?” Suguru repeats back to him, knowing he’s right, but not wanting to give it away just yet.
“Yes, I can tell. Your face was very telling of your answer, it’s not hard to put it together.” Satoru explains. Suguru smiles, kicking himself for not hiding it better. “So, when was this?”
“When was what?!” Suguru asks, playing dumb and pretending he’s not sure if he’s correctly understanding the question.
“You know what I’m asking Gugu, don’t act all dumb!”
“Satoru, I’m done talking about this.” He breathes out, wanting to change the subject.
“Okay okay, you don’t have to answer that.” Satoru says, deciding not to try to push it any further. “When did you decide you liked me, then?” He asks, catching Suguru slightly by surprise.
“Huh?” Suguru asks, knowing full well he heard the question.
“When did you decide you liked me?” Satoru repeats his question again.
“No, no, I heard you the first time. Uhh-” His thumb fidgets with his bottom lip as he tries to think about the specific moment. “I feel like I’m back in high school again.” He chuckles lightly. “It wasn’t necessarily a specific time, more like a lot of little things together, I think.”
“Suguboooo,” Satoru draws out, his tone whiny as he scrunches his nose and tilts his head back further into the pillow. “I could tell you exactly when I knew I liked you.”
Suguru tilts his head to the side, intrigued. “Really?” He asks, now curious as to what it was that finally did it.
“Mmhm! On your first day I immediately knew that you were the hottest man I’d ever laid my eyes on,” Suguru rolls his eyes with a smile as Satoru tries to charm him.
“Ehh, shut up.”
Satoru smiles, ignoring his comment before finishing his thought. “But when I really knew I liked you was when you switched ramen with me.”
Suguru’s eyes light up, remembering the moment well. He smiles as he thinks back. “Yeah, because I knew it would be too spicy for you.”
“How could you possibly have known that?!” Satoru asks loudly.
“Baby, you told me while you were training me that you can’t handle spice.” Suguru explains, remembering how Satoru had explained that he doesn’t even like wasabi because it’s too much for him.
“And you remembered?!”
“Of course I did.” Suguru says, sounds like it was no big deal. “And… It was my sad attempt at flirting with you.” Suguru admits, looking up at the ceiling, trying to suppress a smile as he thinks back in time.
“Suguru, you really are bad at flirting because I had no idea you liked me as more than friends right up until we were standing in that hotel room together.”
“Really?” Suguru asks, shocked by what he’s hearing. He felt like he was being too forward, but now he’s finding out that he wasn’t obvious enough. “I didn’t want to scare you away.”
Satoru smiles at the screen, half of his face shoved into his pillow, but Suguru can still see the slight pink tint to his cheeks. “You’re cute.”
Suguru smiles back at him, his cheeks making his eyes squeeze shut. His face is warm at Satoru’s comment. No matter how many times he hears a compliment from Satoru, it will always feel like the first time to him. He thinks for a moment longer before finally deciding on an answer to Satoru’s question. “I think I knew I liked you when we went out for drinks with Shoko for the first time.”
“What happened?” Satoru asks, curious to know more.
“You know… It was just something about the way you ordered a Shirley Temple with extra grenadine and extra cherries on the rocks.” Suguru says sarcastically, a smile on his face as he shakes his head, looking off into the distance and remembering exactly how he felt hearing those words come out of Satoru’s mouth.
“What can I say? I know what I like!”
“You couldn’t just order it like a normal person though?” Suguru asks, raising an eyebrow at him as they both chuckle thinking back to that night.
“Was that really it?” Satoru asks with his eyebrows raised.
“Not solely that. More like just the whole night with you was really good.” He remembers how Satoru refused to let him pay for his own drinks, and then the two of them helping Shoko home and finally, their phone call to end out the night. “I specifically remember you jokingly saying ‘love you’ to Shoko and you immediately made eye contact with me for just a second, but I swear, my heart nearly exploded.”
“Probably because I knew I loved you.” Satoru has a beaming smile, not even remembering saying that, but trusting him completely. “You’re cute...” He repeats from earlier. “I love you.”
“I love you too, baby.” Suguru returns with a soft smile, thankful to have Satoru in his life. I don’t even remember what I was doing before having him in my life.
“So… How is it going over there?” Satoru asks, changing the subject once again, wanting to hear about how Suguru’s day was.
“It’s alright…” Suguru takes a deep breath and lets it out with an unimpressed sigh. “I think you’d do better here.” His brows are knitted together, remembering the busy day that’s now behind him.
“What? Why?” Satoru’s voice is high pitched, now worried that Suguru had a bad first day in Kyoto.
“It’s a lot of talking to people.” Suguru says, thinking about how he didn’t really get a break at all during the day.
“But Sugu, you talk to people all the time!” Satoru tries to make Suguru feel better, although he’s not entirely sure of what he can do or say to achieve that.
“Yeah but not like you can. I’m exhausted.” Suguru takes a deep breath and lets it out with another sigh, his eyes falling closed as he lays in silence for a moment while Satoru thinks of how to comfort Suguru. He has the blanket pulled up over his shoulders, holding it close to his neck, keeping himself warm in the cool air of his hotel room.
“Well, you only have one more day and then you can come home and not be bothered by anyone.”
“That includes you, right?” Suguru raises an eyebrow at him, slightly teasing.
“Oh, no, I’m obviously an exception.” Satoru says, shaking his head, sounding very matter-of-factly.
“What if I don't want an exception?” Suguru asks, his eyebrows raised, waiting patiently to hear Satoru’s answer.
“Gugu, don't be crazy…” Satoru stares at him for a moment with his own eyebrows raised. “We both know you miss me too.”
“Nah, you're right….” Suguru smiles, knowing that he wants nothing more than to come home to Satoru after work on Monday and lay in his arms all night until they have to wake up for work again the next day. “What’re you gonna do tomorrow?”
Satoru takes his bottom lip in between his teeth, thinking about it for the first time. “I’m actually not really sure. Probably just stay home and clean up around the house and finish some stuff Nanami asked me to work on.”
“You? Doing work on a Sunday?” Suguru is somewhat taken aback by his answer.
“Yeah, I don’t really have anything else to do, so might as well get started on it now.”
“Satoru, why don’t you ever do that while I’m home? You’re goofing off at work so often that you get behind, but now you’re doing work at home on a weekend? I don’t know who I’m talking to anymore.”
“You’re so dramatic, Sugu.” Satoru says, brushing off his surprise with a smile. He pretends that he doesn’t realize Suguru’s teasing him.
“I’m the dramatic one?” Satoru nods his head in response. “Baby, you’re the biggest drama queen I know; I’m sure Shoko would agree.”
“Okay okay, what’s wrong with me doing work on a weekend?”
“Nothing! Nothing’s wrong with it! I’m just a little surprised, is all.” Suguru spits out, not wanting to be the reason he doesn’t do it. Although no matter how behind he seems to get, Satoru somehow always catches back up by the end of the week. Suguru wishes he knew how Satoru did it, but attributes it to some higher power that gives him super speed when it comes to catching up.
“You’re coming home to a changed man, Suguru.” Satoru declares with a deep voice and a serious look on his face.
“I can’t wait to see.” Suguru says with a smile that turns into a yawn. “Oh my-.” He says, stretching while he yawns, realizing how heavy his eyes are starting to feel. He watches as Satoru yawns on his screen.
“Stop that! You’re making me yawn too.”
“Sorry baby, I’m just pretty tired, I guess.” Suguru says, rubbing one of his eyes, trying to stay awake so that he can keep talking to Satoru.
“I’ll let you get your rest, sleeping beauty.” Satoru says with a smile, his eyes starting to feel heavy as well. “I’m getting pretty tired too.”
“I’ll talk to you tomorrow?” Suguru asks, now knowing that Satoru’s also tired and their call is probably just about over.
“I promise I’ll answer the phone normally this time.” Satoru jokes, poking fun at himself, but also making Suguru laugh in the process.
“I’m not complaining about how you answered this time!” Suguru shoots back with a sleepy laugh.
“I’ll remember that.” Satoru says with a crazed smile on his face. “Sleep well, okay?”
“You too… I love you.”
“I love you too, Gugu. Goodnight.” Satoru’s voice is quiet, sounding sleepy as he lays in his bed all alone.
“Goodnight Satoru.” Suguru says with a sleepy smile before begrudgingly hanging up the call. He makes sure that his alarm is set for the morning before he sets his phone on the nightstand and rolls back over, wrapping his arm over his pillow and shoving his face into it. He closes his eyes, quickly falling asleep with a soft smile on his face, happy to have ended the day talking to his favorite white-haired idiot.
~~~~~~~~~~
Suguru wakes up with plenty of time to get ready before he has to be downstairs again to meet Nanami for their second day of events. He texts Satoru good morning even though he knows he’ll still be asleep for a while before getting dressed. Wearing a white short sleeve and light brown pants, he pulls up all of his hair into a bun before grabbing his phone and his bag to head downstairs.
After making it down to the lobby, he grabs a quick breakfast and sits down at a table in the corner. He sits in the seat facing the room so he can people watch. He finds himself looking at his phone, waiting and hoping that Satoru might wake up before he gets really busy for the day. He watches as people eat their breakfast, thinking about all the different details that he and Satoru would come up with for each one of them. Picking up his phone, he decides to text Satoru again, knowing that he’ll see it eventually.
‘The hotel has chocolate croissants you would probably die for 😵’ Suguru smiles as he clicks send. He knows Satoru will appreciate the message when he eventually wakes up later.
After cleaning up after himself, he heads back out towards the lobby where he’s going to meet up with Nanami. He sits down in one of the seating areas to wait for him to come downstairs. He’s only waiting for a couple minutes when he hears his name from behind him.
“Geto?” Nanami calls out as he approaches Suguru. He turns his head around to see the familiar face and goes to stand up. “Is it okay if I sit, actually?” Nanami asks, gesturing to the seat across from Suguru.
“Go ahead.” Suguru says with a smile, relaxing back into his chair.
“Sleep well?” Nanami asks, leaning back into his seat.
“Yeah, I was pretty tired, I guess.” Suguru says with a soft smile. He thinks back to the previous night, chewing on the inside of his bottom lip to keep himself from smiling too much as he remembers.
“Me too… Should be done a little earlier today though, thankfully.” Nanami looks down at his watch as he speaks, presumably checking how long until they need to head into the conference hall.
“It’s not too bad. At least it’s interesting stuff.” Suguru says, fidgeting with his fingers. He was excited not just about learning new things, but also that Nanami had asked him to come along to this conference with him. There were a handful of other people that could’ve taken Suguru’s place, but Nanami insisted that he come.
“I’m happy to hear that.” Nanami says, pressing his lips together and inhaling through his nose. “Would you be interested in doing stuff like this more often?”
Suguru is caught slightly off guard at his question, not sure what he’s getting at. He thinks about it for a moment, furrowing his brows for a second before answering. “Yeah, I’m really liking doing more with all the different departments and getting into things like this.” Suguru smiles as he talks. He enjoys his job, but he can’t help but think that he has the potential to achieve more. He has plenty of work, but a good chunk of it’s just busy work that anyone could do. “I just feel like I could be doing more.”
“Good, good.” Nanami says, nodding his head slowly, a gentle smile on his face. “Well I just thought I’d tell you about it because as soon as Yaga asked if I had anyone in mind, you were the first person that came to mind. You’re coming up on a year with the company, and you were more than qualified when we hired you,” Suguru listens, not sure where Nanami is going, but interested to hear more. “But the vice president of operations is retiring next year and I think you would make a really great candidate…”
Suguru doesn’t know what to say. He sits there with his mouth slightly ajar, trying to process what Nanami just said. Vice president of operations? That sounds insane. He can feel his heart beating hard in his chest. Am I having a heart attack? Don’t be stupid, breathe. He takes a deep breath in through his nose. “R-really?” He finally gets out, not really sure of what else to say.
Nanami nods his head, a serious look on his face. “This is just talk right now, but within the next couple months we should know more about what they’re looking for, but I just wanted to bring it up to you so that you could think it over a little bit.”
Suguru takes another deep breath, trying to take it all in. “Would it be back in Tokyo?” He doesn’t really know what to ask, and just asks the first thing that comes to his mind.
“You would mainly be at our main headquarters in Yokohama, but also working and visiting at all the different branches around the country.” Suguru’s eyes widen at the thought. He feels like his chest is going to explode. The thought that out of the entire office, Nanami would even think of nominating him for the position makes his head spin.
Suguru hadn’t really thought about switching positions, especially to something as high up as vice president of operations. “I, uh- sorry, I just really don’t know what to say.” Suguru stutters.
“Well, like I said, nothing’s set in stone yet, but just… Give it some thought.” Nanami says with a straight smile, looking down at his watch before standing up. Suguru follows suit, standing up and grabbing his things.
“I definitely will… Thank you.” He says, the corners of his mouth turning up at the prospect of a new position. He follows Nanami into the conference hall, trying to push the rapid thoughts and questions flying through his head to the back of his mind as they get ready for another day of meetings before heading back to Tokyo in the morning.
~~~~~~~~~~
Suguru rereads the early morning text he received from Satoru as he walks through the train car on the way to his seat.
‘Good mprning gugu! See you whrn you get here! 😁😙’ It was sent at 3:54am, which makes sense with the typos. He was probably half asleep when he sent this. Suguru reads the new text he had just received from Satoru with a smile on his face as he makes it to his seat on the train. ‘I was half asleep when I sent that…’ Along with a picture of a very sleepy looking Satoru relaxed deep into his pillows. Suguru immediately saves the picture, unable to keep from smiling as he looks at it. Satoru’s eyes are barely open, but their blue color shines through perfectly. His white lashes look perfect and somehow his hair as well. He has the blanket pulled up to his chin, but you’re still able to easily see the sleepy smile on his face from knowing that Suguru is coming home today.
Suguru makes it to his seat alone; he’s sitting by himself this time, although he’s still up against the window. Looking through the glass, all he sees is an identical train on the tracks next to them, blocking the current view. The seat next to him remains empty, but the rows surrounding him are all full. He silently hopes that the seat stays empty, not wanting to feel obligated to talk to someone if they try to chat with him. He smiles down at the text on his phone, quickly typing out and sending a response.
‘Gm sleepyhead, wdy want for breakfast?’ He looks at the time. It’s just after 8, so Satoru should definitely be awake and dressed by now, if not already getting ready to leave. He shakes his head, knowing that Satoru will probably be at least a few minutes late in getting to the office. The train soon leaves the station, heading back towards Tokyo with a lurch forward. Suguru pulls out his laptop, ready to work on his normal weekly duties, looking out the window for a moment as they start picking up speed. He watches for a moment as the city speeds by, taking in the view.
It doesn’t take long for Satoru to answer. ‘Whatever you want! I’m not picky today’
Suguru smiles at his phone before typing out his response. ‘Guess it’ll be a surprise then 😙’  He sends it and starts looking at places that are on the way to the office that he could stop at to pick them something up. He quickly finds a cafe that has breakfast sandwiches close to the train station and decides on that for when he arrives back in Tokyo.
‘As long as you’re here idc what you bring my sweet 🥹🥹’
Suguru taps the heart reaction and sets his phone back down, ready to catch up on the work he’s going to miss by being late, but also hoping that Satoru gets up and gets himself to work if he stops texting him.
Suguru pops in his headphones, clicking play on the same playlist that Satoru is listening to while he gets ready for work. He works away on his laptop diligently, but can’t stop thinking about what Nanami had told him about yesterday. Am I really qualified to be the VP of Operations? I guess Nanami wouldn’t tell me about it if he didn’t think I was. But why me? He continues his work, unable to rid the thoughts from his mind as the train races down the tracks back towards the east.
Should I tell Satoru? Of course I should! Wait, no I shouldn’t. Nanami said it wasn’t even a sure thing yet. I should tell him though. But I don’t want to get his hopes up just for Nanami to forget about ever mentioning it. He has a long mental battle with himself off and on the entire trip back to Tokyo.
Before the train pulls back into Tokyo Station, Suguru makes sure he has everything and throws his bag over his shoulder when the train finally comes to a stop. It only takes a couple minutes before he’s out in front of the station that he was in just two days prior. He pulls up directions to the cafe he had found and makes quick work of the short walk, his long legs carrying him quickly down the sidewalk.
He breathes in the late morning air, looking up to the sky as he feels the warm sunlight bathe the skin of his face, his hair pulled back into a bun and off his neck. Letting his breath out with a satisfied sigh, he can see the cafe up ahead. Having already ordered while he was still on the train, he grabs the sandwiches for him and Satoru, as well as the piece of banana bread cake he picked out for Satoru, knowing he’ll appreciate it.
He quickly makes his way back towards the train station by Satoru’s apartment to head towards the office. Looking down at his watch, it’s just past 10:30. I should be there by 11 at the latest. He walks quickly with the bag safely in his hand and makes it onto the train platform. It’s not as busy as it usually is in the mornings, because most people are at work already, so once the train arrives, he has no problem finding an open seat.
Sitting down close to the door, he sets his bag down on the floor between his feet and holds onto the bag with their food. The ride is quick and Suguru makes his way off at the stop just a couple blocks from the office, making sure he has the food, otherwise Satoru wouldn’t let him hear the end of it. He texts Satoru, getting more and more eager to see him the closer towards the office the train travels.
‘See you soon 👀’ Suguru sends the message as the building comes into view at last. He squints and shields his eyes as he looks up towards the top, the sun shining bright against the reflective windows of the tall skyscraper that their office called home.
‘How soon???’ Satoru responds almost immediately. Suguru chuckles lightly to himself as a second text comes in. ‘Gugu I have your location I can see that you’re here 🙄🥱’
‘Shouldnt you be working instead of stalking me???? 🤨’
The speed at which Satoru responds is impressive. ‘Shouldn’t you be getting your ass up here instead of texting me??? 🤨’ Suguru chuckles lightly before he slips his phone back into his pocket and pulls open the front door of the building to make his way inside.
Suguru heads over to visit the small coffee shop before heading towards the elevators. “Good morning Geto!” The bubbly blue haired girl says with a smile from behind the counter.
“Good morning Miwa.” He greets her, returning the smile with a small wave.
“Um, Gojo already got his coffee this morning…” She starts, knowing that Suguru doesn't ever buy coffee for himself. Suguru would make his own coffee in the mornings, so he would only ever get drinks for Satoru or sometimes Shoko if he pissed her off and needed a way to apologize.
“I’m actually getting something for myself for once.” He replies with a tired smile, desperately in need of caffeine after his long morning.
“Oh! Well what can I get you?” She asks, her voice rising in pitch with her surprise, just happy to help.
Suguru orders an Americano, just wanting the quickest, easiest thing to make before heading up to the office. Miwa gets to making it and has it out promptly, not currently having to worry about any other customers.
“Thank you Miwa.” Suguru says with a sweet smile as she hands him the warm paper to-go cup. He goes to take a sip, but quickly realizes that he’d better wait for it to cool down slightly before he burns a layer of his mouth and tongue off.
“See you tomorrow, Geto!” She calls out after him happily.
He waves, stepping backwards with a smile into the elevator. He clicks the 36 button and backs into the corner, not wanting to take up too much space. There are a few other buttons lit up along with the few other people in the small space, all heading to different floors. The ride is quiet, just the sound of rustling jackets and bags with the movement of people coming and going the higher up they get. It finally reaches the 36th floor and Suguru steps out, heading down the hallway towards the office with his drink in one hand and the bag with his and Satoru’s food in the other.
He carefully and skillfully taps his key card to the door, hearing the lock click before he pulls it open with one finger while the rest grip tightly onto the bag, not wanting to let it fall from his grasp. The door closes softly behind him as he walks down the hallway, turning right at the first opening and immediately making eye contact with Satoru. Both of their faces are immediately plastered with smiles.
Satoru is sat in his chair at his desk as Suguru walks in and sets the bag down on his desk before heading back to drop his things off at his own desk. He notices that Shoko isn’t at her desk and turns back to Satoru. “Hi baby.” Suguru softly says with a wide grin as he heads back over to Satoru’s desk with empty arms. His words are music to Satoru’s ears. Without warning, he reaches up and grabs onto Suguru’s tie before gently pulling him down in close. Not wanting to fall over, Suguru rests a hand on each of the arms rests on Satoru’s chair, momentarily caging him in. Satoru continues pulling him in closer until their lips finally meet gingerly. They smile against each other’s lips, neither of them wanting to pull away yet. Suguru feels like he’s drinking from a well of crystal clear, ice-cold water after being lost in the desert for days. He can’t believe how much he missed the feeling.
“Mmm.” Satoru hums, not letting go of Suguru’s tie just yet. “Missed you, Sugu.” He whispers against Suguru’s lips, his breath tickling Suguru’s skin.
“Missed you too, baby.” Suguru says, giving Satoru one more quick kiss before feeling the tension from his tie being held fall away. He stands back up, not wanting anyone to walk by and see, but realizes he’s too late when Shoko quickly rounds the corner into their area and lets out a groan.
“Ew.” They hear her say as she plops back down into her chair. “Get a room.” She teases, acting as if she’s thoroughly disgusted as she turns back to face her computer.
“You’re just mad that you’re lonely.” Suguru teases back, heading back to sit down at his own desk. He doesn’t notice the eye contact that Satoru and Shoko quickly make, but he does notice the silence. “You two aren’t telling me something…” Suguru says, looking up between the two of them, his golden eyes narrowed at both of them.
Neither one of them says anything as they try not to look guilty, but Satoru quickly transitions and opens up the bag and pulls out the food, excited to see what Suguru picked out. Suguru decides to ignore it and plans on asking Satoru about it later, not wanting to push more on it right now.
“Which one of these is yours?” Satoru asks, pulling the three things out of the bag.
“I got us both the same thing, but the box is for you.” Suguru watches as Satoru rolls over to give him his sandwich. “Thank you.” He whispers, a soft smile still on his face as he watches Satoru with reverent eyes, just taking him in after being away for two nights.
Satoru rolls back to his desk and immediately opens the box. He lets out a small gasp upon seeing the piece of banana bread cake. Suguru smiles to himself at the sound of Satoru’s surprise. “Thank you Sugu.” Satoru says, the smile loud in his voice.
“You’re welcome, Satoru.” Suguru says, still looking at his computer screen, wanting to start to get to work. He finally starts to notice tiny origami animals hidden all over his desk, along with notes pinned to the sides of his cubicle, all from Satoru. “I was only 2 hours late, when did you make all of these?”
“It was a long two hours!”
“Have you done any work today?” Suguru keeps noticing more and more hidden notes and origami creations the more he looks around. They're in his inbox, inside drawers, taped to the sides of his monitor - everywhere.
“No he hasn’t, and he’s made it my problem too.” Shoko grumbles from her desk, her chin resting in her palm as she stares blankly at her monitor. Suguru shakes his head, looking over at Satoru with a disapproving look. Satoru looks back with a pout on his lips, leaving Suguru unable to hide the upturn of the corners of his mouth. Suguru shakes his head at him once more before getting into what he had been working on while on the train. As time goes on, he gathers all of Satoru’s paper creations into one small army of cranes, sailboats, frogs and what seem to be - fish? He pushes them all to the side of his desk, not quite sure what to do with them just yet.
There’s also about 10 different sticky notes around his cubicle, all different colors and all with Satoru’s familiar handwriting on them. His penmanship is neat and pretty to look at, Suguru easily reading all of the notes as he collects them together. They each have only a few words scribbled on them, but every one of them has the same heart drawn on them, making Suguru smile to himself. He keeps one up that reads, “sugu, my one and only ♡ ” He chuckles lightly as he reads it and decides to stick it on one of his monitors. The rest of them find spots in his drawers and one gets hidden under his keyboard; a small doodle of Shiro sleeping peacefully.
The three of them work quietly with soft music playing from the speaker at Shoko’s desk giving them something to listen to. Suguru is just about done responding to his emails when his phone starts ringing, making him jump slightly. He reaches out and grabs it, seeing Utahime’s name on the display.
Suguru clears his throat as he brings the phone up to his ear. “This is Geto.”
“Hey Geto! can you come down to my office for just a minute?”
“Yeah, did you want me to bring my receipts?” He asks, grabbing the folder out of his bag that housed all of his receipts from the trip.
“Yes please.” She says, sounding like there’s a smile on her face.
“I’ll be right there.”
“Thanks!” Suguru sets the phone back down on the receiver and stands up.
“Ooooh.” Both Satoru and Shoko snicker in unison, looking up at Suguru with mischievous smiles. “You’re in troubleee.” Satoru continues teasing, watching as Suguru steps out of his cubicle.
“Yep, I bet they’re gonna fire me.” Suguru says with a shrug, looking down at Satoru with his eyebrows raised and the corners of his mouth downturned dramatically.
“If that were true, Gojo and I would be long gone.” Shoko says, shaking her head.
“Just gotta go give Utahime my receipts from the trip, nothing crazy.” Suguru reassures everyone before he steps out into the hallway and takes a right towards Utahime’s office. On the way, he passes Ijichi and gives him a polite smile. “Good morning, Ijichi.”
“Good morning, Geto.” Ijichi says softly, seeming to be on his way towards the direction of Shoko and Satoru. Suguru continues on his way towards Utahime’s office, passing the break room and finally making it to her doorway. He knocks softly on the door frame to get her attention.
“Hey!” She says, sounding slightly out of breath as she looks up at who’s standing in the doorway to her office. “Come on in.” She says, gesturing towards the chairs across from her desk. “How was the trip?” She asks as Suguru sits down in one of the grey armchairs.
“Good, yeah, it was good… Lotta info.” He says, raising his eyebrows as he answers, thinking about all the different topics that were discussed. “If I didn’t have it all written down I think I’d forget 90% of the things they talked about.” Suguu says with a nervous chuckle.
“Oh, I bet.” Utahime says, shaking her head as she rests her chin in her palm. “It’s definitely a lot.”
Suguru pulls out his small bunch of receipts and hands them over to her. “Here’s these for you.”
“Thank you.” She says, straightening them all out neatly before paperclipping them all together. “This really makes it a lot easier to do the bank reconciliation at the end of the month, I really appreciate you being so organized.”
“No problem!” Suguru relaxes back into the chair, his fingers tapping mindlessly on the arm rest. “Did you need anything else from me?” He asks, his eyes looking around her office at the cozy decorations she has around the small space.
“Actually…” She starts, “I have a question for you, but it’s not about work.” Pulling out her phone and unlocking it, she starts swiftly tapping away at her screen, trying to find what she's looking for.
“Oh, yeah, what’s up?” He asks, sitting forward in the chair, wondering where the conversation is going.
“Do you know which one of these I should get for Shoko? I mean- like- which one would she like the most?” Utahime spits out her words, sounding slightly flustered just to be asking the question.
Ohhh- I see what’s going on here. She holds up her phone to him, showing Suguru what looks like a cart full of different bottles of gin. He chuckles lightly, taking the phone from her hand and looking through to see if he sees the one he knows is her favorite. “Definitely this one. Etsu’s her favorite.” He says, clicking on it and handing her phone back over the desk with a smile.
“You sure?” She asks, looking at him with an arched eyebrow.
Suguru nods his head, reassuring her in his answer. “Definitely. You have no idea how many bottles of Etsu I’ve had to buy for her.” Suguru says with another light chuckle. Although they weren’t extremely close before he moved to Tokyo, they had become a lot closer in the past 10 months, largely due to Satoru. Their distant cousin-like relationship quickly turned to something more akin to siblings; but that meant more opportunities for him to piss her off and need something to apologize with.
“Okay,” She says with a sigh as she sits back in her seat. “Thanks a lot.”
“No problem.” Suguru says with a smile, not bothering to ask any more questions, not wanting to embarrass her, but also understanding that it isn’t really his place to ask. He uses his hands to push himself up out of the chair and stands back up, ready to head back to his desk when he hears a voice from the doorway. He turns to see Nanami peeking his head in the door.
“I’m back.” Nanami says with a small wave, letting Utahime know that he’s made it back.
“Good trip?” Utahime asks as Suguru looks between the two of them.
“Oh yeah.” Nanami says, nodding his head approvingly. “We got a lot done, learned a lot, overall really good.” He continues, looking at Suguru with a smile as he finishes his sentence.
“Good to hear, good to hear.” Utahime says, nodding as she looks up at the two men with a smile.
“‘Kay, you know where to find me.”
“Yep.” Utahime says with a straight lipped smile, looking back at her monitor as Nanami back out into the hallway to head towards his office. Suguru follows back out as well with one last quick thank you to Utahime.
“Busy morning?” Nanami asks, stopping before heading across the hallway to his own office.
“Uh, not too bad, actually.” Suguru says, shaking his head.
“That’s good. If you find some downtime in the next few days, come find me, I have some things you could work on.” Nanami says, digging through his pocket to pull out his keys. “But don’t stress about it if you don’t have time, I can do it.”
“Sounds good.” Suguru says, nodding with a soft smile on his lips. The only thing that rushes into his mind is their conversation the day before, once again. As he makes his way back towards his desk, his thoughts continue racing again. What if they don’t even pick me? What would I be doing? He said something about traveling to branches all over the country. As he slowly walks back, he’s just thinking anything and everything about the possible job opportunity Nanami had presented him with. He continues the mental battle of if he should tell Satoru about it, but continues to try to push the thought to the back of his mind, burying it entirely with what’s going on now. He said it wouldn’t even be for a few months, anyway. Stop worrying about it.
Suguru rounds the corner back into their group of cubicles and right away sees a tensed up looking Ijichi standing between Satoru and Shoko.
“Oh good, Suguru, you’re back!” Satoru shouts out a little too enthusiastically. Ijichi looks horrified; like he’s trapped in between two feral animals fighting over the last piece of food. His eyes scream ‘I wish I was anywhere but here right now.’
“What’s going on?” Suguru asks, suspicion in his voice as he looks around with a raised eyebrow.
“We just need you to answer one question for us.” Shoko says, looking up at Suguru, sitting back in her chair with her arms and legs crossed and a sly look on her face.
“And that question would be?” He asks, looking between all three of them, waiting for one of them to speak up. This has to be something serious. He looks at Satoru as he starts to eagerly speak up.
“Have you ever watched the Bachelorette?”
“Sugu, give me attentionnn. I’ll leave you alone after, I promise!” Satoru draws out his demand as he drapes his body over the chair that sits next to his couch. He would normally be sitting on the couch next to Suguru, but his spot is currently being taken over by numerous different stacks of papers.
Suguru sits with one leg draped over the side of the couch with the other sitting up on the coffee table that’s also covered in an organized mess of papers. “Toru, I’m busy and we just ate dinner together not that long ago, and we both know that promise is not true.” He continues clicking away at his laptop as he talks. Satoru lifts his head up, looking over at him with a pout and his eyebrows furrowed. Suguru ignores the look that he knows he’s on the receiving end of and Satoru lets his head fall back over the chair once again. “Don’t you remember how busy we were before the Shanghai trip? I’m just as busy right now, if not more.” Suguru says, his voice still sweet in tone.
“But you’re leaving me.” Satoru whines.
“Yep, and I’m never coming back.” Suguru teases, the smirk loud in his voice. Satoru’s head shoots back up with a gasp.
“What?!” He cries out dramatically, playing along and looking at Suguru with wide eyes.
“You heard me.” Suguru finally looks over at Satoru, his bangs hanging in front of his face and the rest of his hair falling over his bare tattooed shoulders and chest. A sight that Satoru would look at all day if Suguru would let him.
“You’re coming back on Monday.” Satoru sits up, leaning forward to rest his elbows on his knees.
“Yes… and?” Suguru asks, raising his eyebrows and pressing his lips together, waiting for Satoru to finish his thought.
“So you’re not never coming back.” Satoru says, very matter-of-factly, looking over at Suguru with raised eyebrows.
“Wow, somebody should get you a detective award or something.” Suguru retorts flatly, raising his eyebrows as he looks back to his laptop screen.
“Yeah, you’re right but Gugu, pay attention to meee.” Satoru draws out again just as he did the first time. Suguru takes a breath and lets it out with a long sigh before closing his laptop and setting it on the coffee table. As he consolidates his papers, Satoru is already standing up from his spot on the chair and cheerfully hurrying over to sit down on the couch next to Suguru. He immediately wraps his arms around Suguru’s shoulders, pulling himself in closer as he sits down and throws his legs across his lap.
Suguru wraps his arms around Satoru’s torso, pulling him more onto his lap and in for a deep kiss. Satoru smiles against his lips as they both breathe in deeply, letting out satisfied sighs into each other’s mouths. “It’s only for two nights, at least.” Suguru says sweetly, trying to make them both feel better as he pulls back, allowing Satoru to lay his head down in the crook of his neck.
“But it’s the weekend! I won’t even have work to distract me until you get back!” Satoru shoots back.
“You’ll be fine. Why don’t you hang out with Shoko or something?” Suguru suggests as his warm hand makes its way under Satoru’s shirt to rub gentle circles on the smooth skin of his back. “Although, she might be in bed all day tomorrow after tonight.” He continues. They had gone out for their Friday night drinks, and Shoko was staying out with Utahime and Haibara when the two of them were leaving and heading back to Satoru’s for the night.
Satoru reflexively calms at the feeling of Suguru’s hands on his back, his large hand warm against his skin. He stops for a moment, just feeling Suguru’s hand trace around in gentle circles before opening his mouth again. “Can’t Nanami take someone else?” He asks with a hint of irritation in his voice. “Why can’t he take one of the interns or something?” Suguru chuckles lightly at Satoru’s idea.
“Yeah? Would you rather Ino be in a cubicle next to you instead of me, too?” Suguru asks, continuing to rub his back softly and slowly.
“You know that’s not what I meant… Why is he taking you?”
“It’s kinda my job, Satoru.” Suguru cranes his neck to look at Satoru and raises an eyebrow at him, one corner of his mouth turned up in a smirk. “You jealous?”
“Yeah, of Nanami. He gets to spend all weekend with you.” Satoru lifts his head and says with a smile, making Suguru laugh lightly.
“Yeah, well you’re the one I’m coming home to. Not him.” Suguru looks into Satoru’s eyes with a smile while Satoru’s cheeks warm at his comment, putting a grin on his face. “And you have me tonight and tomorrow morning too. It’s only 48 hours.”
“That’s so many hours though!” Satoru cries out as he buries his head back into Suguru’s neck. His arm is held around the back of Suguru’s neck as he hides himself there.
“You’ll survive.” Satoru groans at his response not being the answer he was looking for. “I promise I’ll talk to you as often as I can, okay?” Suguru says sweetly, his other hand now holding the back of Satoru’s head, lightly massaging at his scalp. The snow white hair is soft in between his fingers until he scratches lightly at Satoru’s undercut. The short hairs slightly tickle Suguru’s fingers as he runs over it, the feeling familiar and soothing.
“What if I just come with you?” Satoru suggests, trying to find any way possible to not have to be apart for ‘so many hours’. Suguru chuckles lightly at his desperate pleas, craning his neck once again and watching as Satoru closes his eyes, enjoying the feeling of Suguru’s head rub.
“Satoru,” He says, sounding like a stern mother, “You’re going to stay here and you’re going to have a good weekend without me.”
“But what if I don’t?”
Suguru shakes his head and lets out a sigh. “Then you don’t, I guess.” Satoru sits quietly, just the sounds of their breathing and soft music playing through the speakers. “I’ll see you Monday morning though… I’ll bring you breakfast.” Suguru says sweetly, trying to make Satoru feel better about him leaving for the weekend.
Satoru kisses the side of Suguru’s head, feeling his soft hair against his lips. “You better.” He furrows his brows as he says it, his nose slightly scrunching with his cheeky smirk. “I’m really glad Nanami is finally seeing how good you are at your job.” Satoru says softly, changing the subject as he lifts his head once again. “You deserve a promotion.” Suguru smiles at his soft voice.
“You think so?” Suguru looks up at Satoru, their faces just inches apart. Satoru nods his head quickly.
Satoru reassures him, his voice soft and sweet. “Definitely. I think you should get his job.” Suguru chuckles at his ridiculous seeming suggestion. “Don’t laugh. You’d be really good at it. And… You’d probably get mad at me less than him for being late…” Suguru chuckles lightly before Satoru continues. “And you could bring your boyfriend on business trips with you.” He grumbles, still upset that Suguru’s leaving for the weekend.
“I beg to differ.” Suguru shoots back, pulling a laugh from both of them. “I think you’d piss me off just as much as you do him.” Suguru says, giving Satoru’s torso a tight squeeze and ignoring his latter comment. “At least I could really punish you for it though.” His voice is deep as he grasps Satoru’s hair, pulling his head back slightly to allow him to shove his face into his neck, leaving a few tender kisses behind before pulling back away.
“Yeah?” Satoru asks shakily, trying to sound as if his body isn’t nearly melting at the feeling of Suguru’s lips on his neck. He grips onto Suguru’s arm tightly, feeling his cheeks heat up as he hums, satisfied at the feeling.
“Mhmm.” He hums with a smile. “Like when you’re distracting me from doing work that needs to be done.” He looks up at Satoru with an eyebrow cocked, trying to get him to understand the hint he’s giving.
Satoru understands what he’s trying to say, but chooses to play dumb instead, trying to get his way. “Hm. Maybe you should do something about it then.” He says, looking down at Suguru with his bright blues half lidded. Lowering his face towards Suguru’s neck once more, but this time his lips press softly just underneath his jaw. He feels as Suguru’s hand presses harder against his back and smiles as he continues to leave tender kisses all over his neck. After a few moments longer, he sits back up, looking down at Suguru with a pout on his lips.
Suguru smiles at the sight, spreading his fingers out wide over Satoru’s back and pulling him in for one last kiss. He inhales deeply, taking in everything that Satoru’s giving him. Satoru’s lips are so soft against his own that he doesn’t mind when the kiss deepens and he feels Satoru’s hands tangled in his hair. He nips lightly at Satoru’s bottom lip, holding it lightly in between his teeth for a moment before letting go and looking up at him, their mouths still touching. “Why don’t you go pick some dessert?” He suggests against his lips, trying to get Satoru off of him so he can finish his work.
“Want you for dessert.” Satoru says, looking down at Suguru with a frown. He slowly moves his hips where he sits in Suguru’s lap, continuing to run his hands through his long dark silky smooth hair.
“You really are just asking for it aren’t you?”
“Yes, Suguru. That’s literally what I’m doing, thanks for finally noticing.” Satoru says back, his tone sarcastic.
Suguru clicks his tongue and shakes his head. “In that case… No.” He deludes, looking up at Satoru with raised eyebrows as he waits for him to stand up. Satoru’s face drops as he realizes that he’s not going to get what he wants.
“Don’t think that I can’t feel you getting hard under me.” Satoru teases as he reluctantly stands up and heads to the kitchen, pulling a soft chuckle from Suguru who can feel the heat in the tips of his ears.
“Shut up and bring something good back.” Suguru says, picking up his laptop once again to try and focus on his work and ignore the ache between his legs. For the rest of the night, Suguru stays sprawled out on Satoru’s couch, working on last minute preparations before having to head to the bullet train station in the morning. He was spending the night at Satoru’s place not just because it was closer to the station, but also so that he could spend more time with Satoru before leaving. He would never admit it out loud, but he’s just as clingy to Satoru as Satoru is to him; just a little better at hiding it.
The two of them finally relax into Satoru’s bed, up against each other under the covers. “How am I gonna sleep without my Suguboo?” Satoru asks, his voice quiet as he speaks into Suguru’s ear. Suguru’s back is pressed against Satoru’s chest, and Satoru drapes his arm over Suguru’s chest, pulling him close as if he’s going to run away.
“Probably with your eyes closed.” Suguru says flatly, his eyes already closed and his hand resting on top of Satoru’s, holding it softly.
“I’m gonna hide your shoes so you can’t leave.”
“You’re gonna-” He stops to laugh at the ridiculous comment. “You’re gonna what?”
“You heard me. I’m gonna hide your shoes so you can’t leave in the morning.”
“What a weirdly specific threat.” Suguru continues, still lightly chuckling as he says it.
Satoru smiles into Suguru’s hair. “Good though, right?” He asks, trying to get affirmation that it was indeed a good idea.
Suguru sleepily laughs again. “Yeah that would be pretty good.” His thumb lightly caresses the back of Satoru’s hand before he gives it a light squeeze. He takes a long and slow breath and lets it out slowly. “I’m gonna miss you too, baby.” Satoru’s breath tickles the side of his neck just before he feels his soft lips leaving a kiss just above where his dragon tattoo ends.
“I know… I just wish I could go with you.” Satoru says, sounding slightly defeated, but also tired from the long day.
“I’m sorry baby…” Suguru says. It rolls off his tongue like honey, immediately making Satoru smile at the way he calls him baby. “We’ll go on a trip together soon, okay?”
“Other than TDL, right?” Satoru asks, suddenly excited and wanting to make sure that he meant two separate things.
Suguru’s eyes grow heavier and heavier as he smiles, too sleepy to laugh anymore at this point. “Yes, Satoru, other than TDL.”
“Where?” Satoru asks, now eager to plan a vacation with Suguru.
“We can talk about it when I get back, okay?” Suguru suggests, fighting to stay awake at this point.
Satoru’s tired eyes widen at the possibilities. His mind starts racing with places that they could go. He makes it his mission to do research while Suguru’s gone and find where they should go on a trip. “Deal.” Satoru says softly, giving Suguru a light squeeze. “Goodnight Sugu.”
“Goodnight Toru.” Suguru grumbles, mostly asleep at this point. “I love you.” He manages to mumble out before almost immediately falling asleep. Satoru is not far behind and closes his eyes before pressing a soft kiss to Suguru’s shoulder and letting himself finally drift off to sleep.
~~~~~~~~~~
Their Saturday morning looks very similar to how a normal weekday morning would when the two of them are together. Suguru’s alarm goes off and he gets out of bed while Satoru stays and sleeps a bit longer. He heads out to the kitchen to make his coffee and start on some breakfast. Satoru had offered to buy everything Suguru needed so that he could make his “fancy coffee” at his apartment. He of course found it difficult to refuse, but politely did anyways, knowing how much everything would cost. The next time he was at Satoru’s he noticed the new chemex, bean grinder, and milk frother on the countertop. He can’t help but smile every time he uses them, knowing that Satoru just wanted him to be happy in his home.
After he’s done, he makes sure to set some food aside for Satoru once he finally wakes up. He feeds Shiro while he’s up so that Satoru doesn’t have to worry about it later. After downing the rest of his coffee and cleaning out the mug, he heads back into the bedroom.
Satoru remains under the blanket, but has migrated into the middle of his bed, sprawled out taking up as much space as possible. Suguru chuckles lightly at the sight as he heads into the bathroom, flicking on the bright vanity lights. “Satoru, if you want to shower, better do it now.” He calls out behind him as he goes to turn on the water. He runs a brush through his hair quickly before hanging on the doorway of the bathroom. “You coming?” He asks, seeing that Satoru has shifted in the bed.
“Mmmh.” He groans, still half asleep with his face still shoved into the pillows. Suguru chuckles to himself and heads back into the bathroom, slowly shedding his pants and stepping into the hot shower. He lets out a satisfied sigh as the water runs over his skin and saturates his hair, his bangs sticking to his forehead before he brushes them back out of his face.
Suguru goes through his quick routine and is about to turn off the shower when Satoru finally joins him in the bathroom, eyes mostly closed and already stripped of his pajamas. He watches as Satoru pulls open the door and steps inside, eyes still closed and a sleepy pout on his lips. “Good morning my sleeping beauty.” Suguru says, using Satoru’s own words on him. Satoru hums from deep in his chest as he steps under the water, wrapping his arms around Suguru’s neck and laying his head down as if he’s trying to fall back asleep. Suguru smirks as he feels Satoru’s hard length pressed up against him.
“Have a good dream?” Suguru asks, a teasing tone apparent in his voice. Satoru stands up off of him and opens his eyes just enough to glare at Suguru.
“Shut up…” Satoru grumbles, his voice gravely from sleep. “You were there, of course it was good.” Satoru stands under the water and closes his eyes once again, remembering the dream he was having and wishing he was still asleep. The dull throbbing between his legs isn’t going away; it’s practically begging for some relief. He hisses when he suddenly feels Suguru’s lips around his sensitive tip. His eyes shoot back open, now seeing Suguru kneeling in front of him.
“I’m sorry for teasing you last night.” Suguru starts as he brings his hand up to wrap around the base. “Will you ever forgive me, Toru?” He asks, his tone teasing and completely unapologetic with his bottom lip stuck out in a pout.
“Fuck.” He breathes out, his lips slightly parted as he looks down at the alluring view in front of him. Suguru presses soft kisses around Satoru’s hot tip, already beginning to leak precum. “You can’t apologize for teasing me by teasing me more, Sugu.” Satoru says, holding his hand underneath Suguru’s chin and looking down at him with begging eyes. He looks down at Suguru’s legs as he kneels, admiring how particularly strong and sculpted his legs looked at this moment.
“Can’t I?” Suguru asks, still unapologetically kissing slowly down his length and leaving soft kisses on the front of his thighs. The smirk on his face as he looks up is enough to drive Satoru absolutely mad.
“Suguu.” Satoru whines, his hips reflexively jerking forward, chasing any kind of friction he can get. He’s fully awake now, brushing his dripping hair back out of his face as he looks down at Suguru who smiles slyly back up at him.
Suguru watches the way Satoru squirms in front of him a moment longer before finally taking him into his mouth. He looks up through his eyelashes, their eyes meeting as Satoru lets out a satisfied moan, finally feeling the warmth and wetness of Suguru’s mouth wrapped around his needy length.
Satoru keeps eye contact, letting out a low groan at the feeling. “Fuck, Sugu,” He starts, but is quickly silenced when Suguru starts taking him deeper with every stroke of his lips. “Holy shit.” He breathily moans out, his mouth hanging open as he watches himself fully disappear into Suguru’s mouth as he swallows the whole thing. He grips tightly onto Suguru’s shoulder, his fingertips desperately digging into the flesh. The feeling of the hot water falling on his back is pushed to the side, more important matters making him completely unaware that the water is even still on.
Looking up at him with innocent eyes, Suguru pulls off of him for a moment, continuing his pace with his hand. “You’re doing so good for me baby, are you gonna be a good boy and cum for me?”
Satoru nods his head, holding his bottom lip in between his teeth. “Mmhm.” He whines, looking down at Suguru as he moves with a smile to replace his hand with his mouth once again. “Ah- ngh, fuck.” He whimpers, his legs starting to feel like jelly underneath him. He brushes his fingers gently through Suguru’s hair on both sides of his head, gathering all of his hair and holding it in his fist at the back of his head. “My Sugu- ah- my- Sugu’s so pretty.” He manages to choke out as he holds his hair, watching amazed at the way he takes all of him into his mouth. He can’t help but buck his hips forward, letting out another moan as he feels his tip hip the back of Suguru’s throat.
He looks down, as if to apologize, but Suguru is looking back up at him with inviting eyes. Suguru nods his head, knowing that the both of them have the same idea. Without even giving it a second thought, Satoru starts moving at his own pace while Suguru stills, relaxing his throat more and letting Satoru continue. The bathroom is quickly filled with Satoru’s moans and lewd noises as he lets himself go.
Suguru’s fingers grip tightly onto the back of Satoru’s thighs, helping to hold him up as he lets him fuck into his throat. He’s more than happy to let Satoru abuse the back of his throat with his throbbing tip, contently watching as Satoru’s eyes roll back in his head and his eyelashes flutter rapidly, barely able to stand from the feeling. “Ah, fuck fuck fuck.” Satoru mewls, nearing the edge of his climax. The feeling of his grip on Suguru’s hair is more than enough to tell him that Satoru’s almost there. “Gonna cum- ha, ah fuck- Sugu, cumming!” He shakily cries out as Suguru feels him twitching in his mouth and cumming down his throat. His hips slow as Suguru picks back up for him, sucking and swallowing every drop that Satoru has to give him.
Satoru grabs onto Suguru’s shoulder with his free hand, his legs feeling like they could give out at any moment. He lets out a breath with a shudder, closing his eyes and breathing heavily as Suguru stands up in front of him. “You think that’ll hold you off until Monday?” Suguru jokes with a sly smirk.
Satoru smiles, still panting as he wraps his arms around Suguru’s shoulders, pulling him in for a long kiss. He feels Suguru’s arms wrap around his waist and pull him even closer, still helping to hold him upright. “I think you just made it harder for me to let you leave.” Satoru whispers against Suguru’s lips. They both smile before Suguru leaves him with one more quick peck before turning around and squeezing as much water out of his hair as he can, preparing once again to get out of the shower.
“Okay, we gotta get out now.” He says, reaching for the shower door.
“Wait! You distracted me and I haven’t even done anything I need to in here.” Satoru protests, trying to hold the door closed.
“Satoru, I have to dry my hair. You can stay in, but I’m leaving here at 8 with or without you.” Suguru says, letting Satoru know he’s completely serious with just his face. Satoru nods his head and lets go of the door, letting Suguru pull it open. The next thing heard is a slap that rings out throughout the steamy bathroom, and Suguru immediately feels a sting on his ass. He turns around only to see Satoru standing under the water with a shit eating grin. He looks back at him with a straight smile and an eyebrow cocked, just his face alone saying ‘really?’
Before Satoru can do anything to protect himself, Suguru steps back into the shower and starts tickling him relentlessly. When he can’t think of anything else to get Satoru back for whatever he’s doing or done, usually then Suguru resorts to tickling him instead.
“Sugu, no!” He starts, his irrepressible laugh filling the bathroom. “I didn’t mean it, I didn’t mean it! Sugu no!” He does his best to push Suguru away, but finds himself feeling too weak to do anything. “No really! I’m gonna piss my pants!” He cries out, despite still being in the shower and not wearing any pants. He’s doubled over, trying to shield himself, his core still sore from his recent orgasm and now from the uncontrollable laughter.
Suguru stops after that comment, shaking his head with a smile. “Stupid.” He chuckles softly. “Hurry up.” He says as he opens the door behind his back, not trusting that Satoru wouldn’t smack his ass again. Satoru turns back around, grabbing his shampoo from the shelf when Suguru smacks his ass hard enough to leave a mark.
“Ah!” Satoru yelps out, the bottle falling to the ground with a loud bang. He whips his head around to Suguru who’s already out of the shower with the door closed behind him. “I did not hit you that hard!” Satoru shouts, the glass slightly muffling his voice as Suguru dries himself off.
“Thought I’d give you something to cherish while I’m gone.”
“Most people leave a love note, flowers, hell, maybe even something sweet! But no, I’m left with a five star at 28 years old.” Satoru continues rambling on and on while Suguru continues his after shower routine.
“If you want, I can give you a matching one on the other side.” Suguru suggests sarcastically, turning around to look at Satoru as he hears the water shut off. Satoru opens the door and steps out, quickly drying himself off and joining Suguru at the counter as he dries his hair. He looks at Suguru, making eye contact with him in the mirror. He doesn’t say anything, just wiggling his eyebrows as he hangs up the towel. As soon as he turns around, Suguru leaves a hard smack on the other side of his ass.
Satoru immediately responds with an overdramatic fake moan, looking at Suguru as it leaves his mouth. Suguru tries to contain his chuckle, pressing his lips together and shaking his head. “Idiot.” He says with a smile as he meets Satoru with his hands going to rest on his bare hips before their lips meet. Satoru rests his hands in the same spot on Suguru’s hips as they share a slow tender kiss. Satoru’s fingers fidget with the towel that’s tied low on his hips, sticking his thumbs between the towel and his skin before loosening it enough that it falls to the floor. Suguru smiles against Satoru’s lips as he feels it fall away before pulling away and bending over to pick it up, the smile still on his lips. “Get dressed.” He says, hanging it up and heading out of the bathroom. Satoru lets out a groan before following him into his closet to get dressed. Once they’re both dressed, Suguru looks like he’s ready to go to work, while Satoru looks like he’s ready for a run through the park.
“Sugu?” Satoru asks, knowing that Suguru is about to do his hair. Suguru looks over at him from where he stands behind the couch, waiting for Satoru to finish his sentence. “Can I brush your hair?” He asks, looking down at the brush in Suguru’s hand.
Suguru is caught slightly by surprise, but smiles at the question before looking down at his watch. Much to his delight, they’re running a little bit ahead, so he happily agrees. He sits down in one of the arm chairs by the window and drapes his hair over the back, letting it flow down freely. Satoru pulls the other chair up behind the one Suguru sits in and sits down, spreading his knees wide and leaning forward. He starts at the ends, gently brushing them out and working his way up until he’s slowly brushing from Suguru’s scalp all the way down to the ends. Suguru lets out a satisfied sigh, letting his head fall back as Satoru continues brushing, the bristles feeling good against his head. He remembers back to the first time Satoru had asked to brush his hair and what a mess that was. In mere seconds, he somehow made it worse than it was to begin with, and Suguru was sure he had a bald spot somewhere from Satoru pulling so hard. After that disaster, Suguru then taught him how he should brush his hair. “You’re so good at this, baby.” Suguru praises sweetly, leaning his head back even more to look up at Satoru with a smile on his face.
Satoru smiles wide and drops the brush to his side before leaning down to kiss Suguru, their noses hitting each other’s chins as their lips come together. Satoru goes back in for two, three kisses before standing back up and finishing brushing out Suguru’s hair before handing the brush back to him.
“Thank you, baby.” Suguru says, his voice quiet yet just as sweet and syrupy as ever as he takes the brush from him. He had taught Satoru how he ties his hair up as well, but he usually just preferred to do it himself so that it was exactly how he wanted it every time.
The summer morning air is warm, it being the middle of July. The light breeze makes the light beaming down from the sun feel absolutely perfect. After they begin on their way to the bullet train station, Satoru grabs Suguru’s bag from him, carrying it for him as they walk. “I can carry that, Toru.” Suguru says, looking over and shoving his hands into his pockets as they walk down the sidewalk.
“Yeah, but I’m the stronger one, so I should carry it for you.” Satoru says confidently, his chest held proud as he carries the bag that a kindergartener could carry with no issue.
“You’re the stronger one?” Suguru asks, his eyebrows raised in surprise.
“Of course I am!”
Suguru lets out a scoff that turns into a chuckle. “I’d like to see how you would prove that.”
“Oh I don’t need to prove it, it’s just the truth.” Satoru says, seeming like he’s even convinced himself. Suguru smiles with his tongue in his cheek.
“Whatever you say, dear.” Suguru says with a hint of sarcasm in his voice, shaking his head as they continue towards their destination.
“Don’t say that like you don’t believe it.” Satoru says, raising his eyebrows at Suguru.
“Until you can give me hard proof, I’m not buying that for a second. Maybe between you and Shoko, because I know you don’t mean between the two of us.” Suguru continues on with a light laugh.
Satoru furrows his brows and twists his mouth to the side, sticking his free hand into Suguru’s pocket to grab his hand and lace their fingers together as they walk. Suguru smiles, pulling their hands out of his pocket and giving Satoru’s hand a squeeze. The station comes into view as they quickly approach the large red building covered in white windows. They make their way inside the busy station along with the myriad of people coming and going.
Suguru takes his bag back from Satoru as they approach an empty bench. He sets it down and quickly texts Nanami to let him know where he’s at before turning to look at Satoru with a soft smile. “I love you.”
“I love you too, my sweet.” Satoru says, wrapping his arms around Suguru’s shoulders and pulling him for a tight hug and kissing him on the cheek. “Have a good trip, but don’t have too much fun without me.”
Suguru chuckles just before their hug breaks apart. “I’ll try not to.” He says, looking at Satoru with a soft smile, not ready to leave him just yet. He leaves a quick peck on Satoru’s lips, not wanting to do much more in such a busy place. “You have a good weekend, okay? Enjoy your run, I’ll get you something good from Kyoto.” Satoru nods his head with a smile before pulling Suguru in for one last hug, squeezing him extra tight before letting go.
Suddenly, Satoru’s eyes widen as he looks over Suguru’s shoulder to see Nanami from a distance, walking in their direction. Suguru turns over his shoulder to see him, waving as he approaches. “Good morning Nanami!” Satoru says with a big smile on his face.
Nanami presses his lips together, taking a deep breath as he makes it to them. “Good morning, Gojo.” He says dully with a straight smile before looking over to Suguru as well. “Good morning, Geto. Ready to go?”
“Yep!” He says before quickly turning and leaning back towards Satoru. Nanami turns to look in the direction they need to head to get to their train while Suguru rests his hand on Satoru’s hip for a quick second as he whispers a hurried, “Love you, bye.”
“Bye.” Satoru whispers back before their lips meet one last time with a quick peck before Suguru turns back around to Nanami, following him to where they need to go.
Satoru watches as they walk towards their platform, waving at Suguru with a smile when he turns around one last time before disappearing out of sight. He takes a deep breath and lets it out with a forced sigh, turning and heading back towards the front doors. Reaching into his pocket, he takes out his headphones and sticks them into his ears before opening his phone and finding his playlist that he runs to. He presses play and takes off, running back towards his apartment to start off his weekend without Suguru.
~~~~~~~~~~
Suguru and Nanami make it onto their train with plenty of time to spare, both of them being pretty punctual people. Suguru definitely didn’t want to relive the nightmare of running through the airport on his and Satoru’s trip to Shanghai, so he made sure to be there early. They get settled into their seats, Suguru sitting in the one closest to the window, and both pull out their laptops, prepared to work during the couple hours it takes to get to Kyoto.
The train just starts to pull away when Suguru’s phone vibrates on the tray in front of him. He picks it up and reads the text from Satoru.
‘We miss you already!’
The text is accompanied by a picture of a very sweaty but smiley Satoru and a peaceful looking Shiro. He smiles before setting it back down, not wanting to be on his phone while Nanami is working right next to him. He takes a deep breath and lets it out with a sigh, trying to rid himself of the tight feeling in his chest, already missing Satoru and wishing he were here with them. Not even just as his boyfriend, but as coworkers. Satoru made the work day much more bearable and entertaining, making it seem to pass by quicker.
“Everything alright?” Nanami asks, noticing the sigh that Suguru lets out as he sets his phone back down to the side of his laptop.
“Yeah, it’s just Satoru…” Suguru responds sheepishly. The entire office knows about their relationship at this point, but he still feels kind of awkward talking about it to their boss.
Nanami chuckles lightly, taking a moment to breathe before speaking up again. “My wife’s the same… I mean, I go away for work all the time but she never makes it easy to leave.” He has a smile as he says it, thinking about her.
“No kidding.” Suguru says with a breathy chuckle. He feels slightly better thinking about how he’s feeling. At least it’s not just me.
“It just makes coming home even better, though.” Nanami adds, noticing the tenseness and hoping his words give Suguru some comfort.
Aside from this brief departure, their conversation stays about work the entire time; going over numbers, ways that Suguru can help Nanami better while they’re there, things that they can talk about if they get asked about x, y, or z. They were prepared for anything. The two and a half hours seem to go by in a flash and before either of them know it, the train is approaching their stop. They gather their things and make it off quickly and head out towards the front of the station to find their ride.
Once they make it into the car, Nanami lays out their plan for the day. “We’re staying in the same hotel that the conference is in, so that’s a plus.” He explains. “We’ll drop off our things and then head to our first meeting in the conference hall.”
Suguru makes note of all the times Nanami is explaining. He’s glad to learn that their day is going to be over by 7 and their first meeting tomorrow isn’t until 10, so he doesn’t have to get up super early either. He quickly texts Satoru right before they make it to the hotel.
‘Just made it to the hotel’ His fingers quickly type out another message. ‘I’ll text you when I can 🖤’
Satoru’s response almost immediately comes back. ‘Shiro’s already telling me how much she misses u ☹️’
Suguru smiles down at his phone, sending his final response as they pull up to the hotel.
‘Tell her I miss her just as much’
The two of them make it inside with all of their belongings and Nanami gets them checked in. “Good thing I had Ijichi get us an early check in time.” He says, handing Suguru the key to his room. Their rooms are up on the 7th floor, so they head towards the elevator. The lobby is filled with people, similarly to them, there for the conference. The chatter of the crowd is muffled and fades as the elevator doors close, taking them up to their floor.
“You’re in 716 and I’m right across the hall in 717.” Nanami says as they round the corner after exiting the elevator into the hallway. Suguru follows him down towards their rooms before heaching his. “Meet downstairs in-'' he looks down at his watch, “15 minutes?” Nanami says as they both turn to open their doors.
“Yes sir.” Suguru says with a smile as they both head into their separate rooms. Suguru closes the door and sets his bag down before turning on the light. He looks at the single bed in the room and is immediately brought back to the Shanghai trip with Satoru. He chuckles lightly to himself, all these months later still unable to believe that Shoko convinced Ijichi to get them a room with only one bed in it. He opens the curtains, looking out at the view and letting some light in before he lays down on top of the covers, stretching out with a groan after sitting for so long on the train. He pulls his phone out of his pocket to see that Satoru had responded to his text.
‘Her daddy misses you more 🥺’
Suguru rolls his eyes with a smile. There’s my Satoru. His fingers quickly work to facetime Satoru. He’s not surprised when it doesn’t even finish ringing once before Satoru answers.
“Hi Sugu!” Satoru exclaims, a wide smile on his face and his eyes nearly squeezed shut from it.
“Daddy? Really?” Suguru asks, raising his eyebrows at Satoru through the screen, a slight smirk on his face. He holds the phone above his face as he lays back on the bed.
“I’m Shiro’s daddy, Suguru, whether you like it or not.” Satoru responds. Suguru lets out a sigh that turns into a chuckle. “How was the ride?” He continues, genuinely wanting to know how Suguru’s been in the 4 long hours they’d been apart.
“It was good. We finished pretty much everything we needed to, so we’re all set for today.” Suguru brings his arm up to slide his hand under the back of his head. “What have you been up to?” Suguru was also curious as to what Satoru was doing without him. He watches as Satoru walks around his living room and eventually plops down in the chair next to his couch.
“I’m going over to Shoko’s in a little while, but I think I’m gonna head over to the cafe and grab some lunch before I go.” Satoru holds the phone in front of his face, looking past the screen and down at the ground where Shiro looks up at him.
“Tell Yuji I say hi.” Suguru says, knowing that if they aren’t there together, Yuji will ask where the other is. “So, Sho’s not hungover, I take it?”
“Don’t think so. Not enough to not hang out at least, but we’re just gonna be at her place anyways… When’s your first meeting?” Satoru asks, smiling at Suguru through the screen.
“I’m meeting Nanami downstairs in 10 minutes.” Suguru explains, looking at the time, making sure it isn’t secretly moving faster than he realizes. “I’ll call you again when I’m done, okay?”
“I will be patiently awaiting your call.” Satoru says sweetly.
“Both of us know you will not be patient.”
“What can I say? I miss my Sugu.”
Suguru chuckles lightly at his response. “Satoru, we haven’t even been apart for half a day.”
“But I still miss you!”
“We’re apart for longer on days when I don’t sleep over.”
“Yeah but at least we’re in the same city!” Satoru exclaims, trying to explain his reasoning. “And you’re not busy with work!”
“I know, I know…” Suguru takes a deep breath and lets it out with a sigh, a soft smile on his face. “I miss you too, baby.” Satoru smiles back at him.
“And we haven’t gone more than one night in a row without sleeping together in months! And now I have to do two?! It’s madness!” Satoru shouts, going back to his previous point.
“Oh, the horror.” Suguru plays along, a soft smile on his face as he watches how Satoru’s dramatic expressions and movements translate through the phone.
“I’ll start a worldwide movement.”
“Toru, I’ll be home before you even get that started.”
“Is that a challenge?” Satoru raises his eyebrows with an excited look on his face.
Suguru laughs, shaking his head as he sits up. “Not at all, actually.”
“Good.” Satoru starts. “I could definitely do it, but that sounds like a lot of work.” Suguru chuckles lightly before Satoru speaks up once more. “Okay sugarplum, I guess I’ll let you go to your big important work meetings.” Satoru says with a teasing tone in his voice.
Suguru smiles at the nickname, always excited to hear what new things Satoru will come up with. “I’ll talk to you once I get back up here later, okay?” He stands up and starts to slowly and aimlessly pace around.
“You better!”
“I will, I promise.” Suguru chuckles lightly at Satoru’s enthusiasm. “Have fun with Shoko, tell her I say hi.”
“I will, Sugu. I love you, have a good meeting!”
“I love you too, baby. I’ll talk to you later, bye.”
“Bye!” Satoru peeps out just before their facetime ends.
Suguru sets down his phone on the bathroom counter and brushes out and reties his hair back up, wishing that Satoru was here to brush it again as he did earlier in the morning. He lets out a sigh before slipping his phone and wallet into his pocket and heading out the door, ready to head downstairs and meet Nanami to really get their day started.
~~~~~~~~~~
“I thought you were bringing food.” Shoko says, looking unimpressed at an empty handed Satoru that stands at her front door with her eyebrows furrowed and her arms crossed.
“Happy Saturday to you too!” Satoru says, making his way past her and inside her apartment. “Why d’you look like you died and came back to life?”
Shoko scoffs, shuffling behind him with a rotten face as he heads through the kitchen and into the living room to sit himself down on the couch. “You are getting us food, right?” She asks, choosing to ignore his obnoxious question and getting right to the point. Falling into her normal corner spot on the couch, she looks at Satoru, impatiently waiting for an answer.
“Of course. I wanted to wait to see what you were feeling before getting anything.” Satoru responds, looking up at the tv to see what Shoko was watching. “What is this?” He asks, nodding his head up at the tv, curious as to what he’s looking at.
“The Bachelorette.” She says quickly brushing off the question, trying to focus on more important matters. “So what are we getting for dinner?”
“Find whatever you want and I’ll order it.” Satoru shoots back, now focused on the dramatic scene playing out on the tv. He opens his phone and tosses it over to her side of the couch so that she can pick what she wants. “So there’s just a bunch of guys and one girl?” Satoru asks, wanting to know more.
“Yeah, have you never seen it before?” Shoko asks, scrolling through her options.
“No.” Satoru sits back, crossing his arms and letting his knees fall away from each other. “I don’t really spend my time like that.” His mind immediately goes to Suguru, the thing that most of his free time was spent on.
“That sounded pretentious.” Shoko chuckles lightly as she says it, finally seeming to decide on something. “How do you feel about pizza?”
“Pizza’s fine.” He says, brushing off her first comment completely and continuing to watch the tv.
“Do you have a preference or…?” Shoko continues, waiting for an answer that doesn’t ever come. He just shakes his head, not even looking over at her. She finishes picking out what she wants and hands the phone back to Satoru. “Does that sound good?” She asks.
Satoru quickly looks and adds two small chocolate cakes and orders it. “It should be here in about 30 minutes, it looks like.” He says, setting his phone down on the couch beside him. Shoko gives him a thumbs up, pulling her blanket back over herself and cozying into the corner of the couch more. “Is this all you had planned today?” Satoru asks, gesturing his head up at the tv once again.
“Yeah, pretty much.” She says with a shrug. “Went a little too hard last night.”
“Why invite me over then?”
“So you could get me food.” Shoko says flatly. Satoru shakes his head with a smile on his face. “And-” She continues dramatically, “I know how clingy you two are. I figured you’d feel better if you were around someone else.” Satoru scoffs, holding his hand to his chest, but Shoko stops him before he can go any further. “And don’t try to bullshit me and say that isn’t true because I think we both know it’s the truth, Gojo.”
Satoru thinks about trying to argue, but he knows that she sees right through it. “Shut up.”
“Don’t tell me to shut up, you shut up.” She shoots back.
Satoru shakes his head with a smile, focusing back on the show for a minute before he notices Kai come strolling out of the hallway leading towards her room. “Kai!” He lets out a projected whisper, not wanting to scare him back into hiding. He pats the couch a few times beside him, immediately enticing Kai to see what’s up. He hurries over, jumping up next to Satoru and starting to rub his face against his hand. “Hi buddy.” Satoru says as he turns to pet Kai with both hands. “I haven’t seen you in a while.”
“I think he has a new favorite person.” Shoko pipes up. Satoru looks over at her with his brows furrowed.
“Huh?”
“Yeah, Utahime’s been over a lot recently and he really likes her.” Shoko says, looking down at Kai as she speaks, a soft smile on her face.
“You sure it’s only him who really likes her?” Satoru asks, his teasing not concealed whatsoever. Shoko’s cheeks immediately turn pink at his question.
“Shut up.” Shoko says, grabbing the remote and turning up the volume on the tv slightly.
“Shoko, come on.” Satoru says, trying to get her to talk about it.
“We’re really good friends.” She says, not wanting to get deeper into it.
“Mmhm.” Satoru hums, seeming to finally take that for an answer. She thinks he’s done when there’s a long silence before he speaks up once again, the smirk on his face lacing itself to his voice. “Suguru and I were ‘really good friends’ at one point too.” Shoko quickly grabs the throw pillow beside her and literally throws it at Satoru, who effortlessly catches it. 5
“Gojo! I said shut up!” She shouts, her face getting progressively more pink as time goes on.
“I know it’s called a throw pillow, but I don’t think you’re actually supposed to throw them.” Satoru fluffs the pillow back up before setting it back on the couch beside Shoko. She groans and Satoru smiles, obviously proud of what he’s done. “I won’t tell anyone.” He says, looking over at her as she tries to sink herself deeper into the couch.
“Okay, can we just stop talking about this now?” She asks, feeling like her face is burning up.
“Yeah, because I need you to explain to me the whole premise of the show.” Shoko’s thankful that Satoru finally drops the subject and immediately switches gears to explain every detail possible to Satoru. He listens intently as she explains the show's inner workings and what’s already happened in the season thus far. Satoru continues asking questions very curiously, and Shoko continues to answer them until their food gets delivered.
They grab their food, opting to eat on the couch while they continue watching. They watch quietly for a while, more focused on their food than talking. Satoru grabs some more while Shoko sets her plate on the coffee table. “Have you talked to Geto?”
“For just a little bit right after he got there, but they pretty much immediately went into a meeting.” Satoru answers as he sits back down on the couch. His eyes look down at the ground, wondering what he’s up to at the moment. Probably sitting in some uncomfortable chair listening to some man talk about some new program that’s supposed to help raise their profits somehow.
Shoko nods her head, humming softly in response. “At least he’s not somewhere fun like Okinawa.” As soon as Satoru hears that, an idea pops into his head. He pulls out his phone and sends a text to Suguru, knowing that he won't see it until later, but needing to get his thought out.
‘What if we go to Okinawa?’ He clicks send and sets his phone back down. “Yeah, I just wish he were here though, you know?” Satoru says with a sigh.
“Codependent.” Shoko says, faking a cough as she says it.
“Excuse me?” Satoru sas with a growing smile as he turns his head to look at Shoko.
“I said co-de-pen-dent.” She emphasizes each syllable as she says it, looking him right in the eyes.
“You’re addicted to cigarettes.” Satoru shoots back, his eyebrows furrowed at her. This banter was something normal for the two of them, their relationship mostly like that of a brother and sister. Almost nothing was too far in between them.
“Trust fund baby.” She quickly spits out, a smirk on her face as she says it.
“Wait, you invited me over here to buy you food and you’re making fun of me?” Putting an end to their playful bickering back and forth.
“Yeah, because you’re a trust fund baby.”
Satoru scoffs and shakes his head. “We’ll see how you feel when I start refusing to buy your drinks for you.” Shoko takes a breath, ready to fire back, but Satoru stops her before she can even get it out. “And don't even think about asking Suguru, because I’ll tell him not to either.” Satoru says, raising his eyebrows at her, knowing he’s got the upper hand. “You can ask your really good friend Utahime to buy them for you, right?” Satoru asks, teasing her once again.
“Okay, okay, shut up, you win.” She says, rolling her eyes and crossing her arms, looking defeated.
Satoru smiles smugly, proud of himself as he sits back into the couch, crossing his arms and looking up at the tv. He can’t help but start thinking silently to himself, Suguru and I have really gotta start watching this together.

“Shoko,” Suguru calls out, his eyes peering over the ledge of his cubicle at her as he grabs her attention. She lifts her eyes from the monitor “My mom wants to see you while she’s here this weekend.” Her eyebrows raise and her eyes brighten in excitement.
She looks up at him with a soft smile, sitting back in her chair and resting her elbow on the armrest. “Tell her that I’ll call her when I get home, okay?” Her chin rests in her palm as she hears Satoru come over to lean on the side of her cubicle. His sleeves are rolled up above his elbows, letting his forearms breathe. He looks between the two of them before Shoko turns to look at him. “Have you met her yet?”
“I’m meeting her tomorrow, actually.” Satoru tilts his head to the side as he says it with an excited look on his face. “Suguru’s making dinner for all of us.” He looks over at Suguru who smiles back up at him.
The two of them had been together for a little over four months. Satoru had been begging Suguru to let him meet his mom, but since she lived up north in Morioka, it had proven somewhat difficult to find a time that worked for all three of them to get together. When Suguru had mentioned that she was finally coming to visit, Satoru was absolutely ecstatic.
“Are you nervous?” Shoko asks, raising her eyebrows at Satoru with a playful smile.
“Not at all!” He shakes his head with a big smile on his face. He had been thinking about it for a long time, but from everything he’s heard from Suguru, he has nothing to be worried about. Hopefully.
“He’s been begging me to meet her for a while.” Suguru interjects before Satoru can continue. Satoru just nods his head excitedly as Shoko’s eyes shift between the two of them.
Shoko looks Satoru up and down for a moment, chewing on her cheek as she thinks about what she’s going to say. “I think she’ll really like you, Gojo.”
Satoru’s eyes widen at the unexpected comment, feeling his cheeks heat up slightly. “You think so?” He asks, looking over at Suguru who has a soft smile on his face. Shoko nods up at him, a faint grin still on her face. “Any reason in particular?” She shakes her head, looking back at her monitor with a frown and trying to focus back on her work. “Shoko, reallyyy? Why can’t you tell me?”
“Because I enjoy fucking with you.” She responds with a smug smirk, still not bothering to look over at Satoru as he stays leaning on the edge of her cubicle with a pout on his lips. Sguru chuckles lightly at her teasing as Satoru lets his head fall back in defeat before turning around and going back to sit down at his desk.
“Why do you hate me, Shoko?” Satoru wails melodramatically, falling into his chair and looking back at his own computer before picking up where he left off on his work. Nothing but a chuckle comes from Shoko, with Suguru letting out a quiet laugh as well. “I heard that, Suguru.” Satoru says flatly, not even bothering to turn around. Suguru smiles to himself as he continues with his work as well.
“You were meant to.” He says jokingly, the smile apparent in his voice. Shoko shakes her head with a smile as Satoru raises and turns his head to look over at Suguru who’s already looking back at him. Satoru gives him a fake glare, narrowing his eyes and furrowing his brows. Suguru smiles back at him, giving him a small wave that makes Satoru break and chuckle lightly before turning back to his computer.
“Suguruuu, how do I do this?” Satoru whines after just a couple minutes of clicking around his computer, wanting to bother Suguru again.
“You’ve worked here a lot longer than me, how the hell do you not know how to do that?” Suguru asks after rolling his chair over to look at what he’s working on. His brows are knit together, his eyes squinted in disbelief.
“It’s not my department.” Satoru says quickly, spitting out the first excuse that comes to his head.
“Satoru, we’re in the same department. You should know how to do this.” Suguru scolds, still slightly unable to believe how Satoru still somehow manages to be such a well performing employee.
“It’s because he always asks me or Ijichi to do it.” Shoko pipes up, looking over both of their shoulders at what he’s working on. Satoru looks back with a smug grin, leaving Shoko shaking her head back at him. Suguru rolls back to his cubicle, leaving Satoru to his work.
Suguru was busy working on a spreadsheet and a few reports that Nanami had asked for to help better see some essential numbers for some upcoming meetings. Satoru was helping out with emailing customers that had past due invoices on their account, and Shoko was working through trying to enter in data from old papers that didn’t need to be physically kept any longer. The rest of the day goes by relatively quickly, all three of them being kept busy with work.
“Geto, you’re coming out for drinks with us, right?” Shoko asks as she shuts down her computer for the weekend. Satoru shakes his head before Suguru even answers.
“Sorry Sho, but mom’s already on her way, I gotta get home before she gets here.” Suguru explains as he tucks his things into his bag. “I still need to pick some things up on my way home, I just don’t have time this week.”
“Bring her!” Shoko jokes. Satoru chuckles lightly to himself as he picks up and puts on his jacket.
“Yeah, I bet she’d love that.” Suguru says sarcastically.
“It won’t be long at all!” Shoko continues explaining, trying to get Suguru to agree to go with them.
“Shoko, I really can’t. I promise I’ll come with you guys next week.” Suguru says as he follows both Shoko and Satoru out towards the front door of the office.
Shoko’s not happy about it, but she brings out her plan B. “Gojo… Do something!” She pleads, turning around to look at him after they make it down the hallway to the elevators.
“Sorry Sho, as much as I want him to, I know he’s got a lot to do.” Satoru says as they step into the elevator. Suguru flashes him a thankful smile as he steps in beside him. Shoko rolls her eyes and presses the button for the lobby.
“You’re no fun either, I don’t know why I even bring you” She grumbles. Suguru pats Satoru’s lower back gently and smiles over at him, his eyes saying a silent thank you. Satoru reflects the same expression back, smiling at the feeling of Suguru’s soft touch on his back.
The doors open to the lobby and the three of them step out, Shoko still trying to convince Suguru to join them and him continuing to deny the invitation.
“Does your mom know you’re such a square?” Shoko teases one last time as they open the doors and step out onto the sidewalk in front of the office building.
“Woah woah woah,” Suguru says, putting out his hands and pretending to be offended. “I am not a square.”
“Yeah, Shoko.” Satoru adds, furrowing his eyebrows as he comes to Suguru’s defense. “He just wants everything to be nice for his mom.”
“Exactly!” Suguru says as they all start walking in the same direction down the sidewalk. “And anyways, if any one of us is the square, it’s Satoru.”
“Hey!” Satoru shouts, shoving him lightly. Suguru chuckles and shoves him back before they lace their fingers together, giving Satoru’s hand a slight squeeze.
“Where are you guys going, anyway? The Mandarin’s the other way.” Suguru asks, curious about why they’re following him on his walk home.
“We’re going to Star Box, it’s not too far past your place.” Satoru explains, swinging his and Suguru’s arms together as they walk. Suguru smiles and lets Satoru continue, deciding to just let his arm go limp. He laughs lightly as Satoru violently swings their arms back and forth for just a second before stopping.
“That sounds fun. Isn’t that the one by the pizza place?” He smiles as he looks over at Satoru and Shoko as they continue down the sidewalk, the late afternoon sun starting to set, the light no longer reaching past the tall buildings surrounding them.
“Yes!” Shoko replies, excitedly, looking up at Suguru with a smile. “So will you come?!” She tries for a final time, desperate to have both of her friends there.
“Nope. I’ve gotta go into this store, actually.” He responds, gesturing to the shop up just ahead of them. They come up to the front of it and Suguru feels as Satoru begrudgingly lets go of the grip on his hand. “I’ll see you tomorrow, okay?” He says, looking at Satoru before branching off and walking into the store.
“Hey!” Satoru calls out, a tinge of irritation in his voice. Suguru turns around, somewhat surprised to hear him yell after him. “Get back here!”
Suguru shakes his head with a slight smile as he steps back out onto the sidewalk. “Yes, honey?” He says, his voice sounding innocent and sweet although it was a sarcastic act.
“Do you have something for me?” Satoru asks through gritted teeth, a crazy smile on his face, his dimples prominent on his cheeks. Shoko stands off to the side, staring at the scene in front of her, just waiting for it to be over.
“What would I have for you?” Suguru steps out of the doorway and off to the side with Satoru, getting out of the way. Satoru scrunches his nose slightly, furrowing his brows at a confused Suguru. “What?!”
“You’re not even going to give me a kiss goodbye?” Satoru asks, tilting his head to the side. Suguru can’t help but chuckle lightly at how Satoru’s going about the situation.
“You really are something else.” He says as he leans in and presses a quick soft kiss to Satoru’s lips. “I’ll see you tomorrow, okay?”
Satoru smiles contently. “Good.” He gives Suguru one more quick kiss before letting him go back into the shop. “I’ll see you tomorrow, Sugu.” He says with a smile.
“Ugh, get a room.” Shoko grumbles, waiting for Satoru to be done so that they could continue on towards the bar.
“You’re just jealous.” Suguru hears Satoru shoot back as he turns to head into the shop, a smile on his face. He was preparing dinner for just himself and his mom tonight, and then them plus Satoru tomorrow night. As he walks around the store picking up all the ingredients he needs, he feels his phone vibrate in his pocket. He pulls it out to see that it’s a text from his mom.
‘I’m just about to get off the train, see you soon!’
Suguru smiles as he types out a quick response and sends it back before continuing on with his shopping, trying to quickly finish up. It only takes him a couple more minutes to gather everything before he’s back outside and walking towards his apartment once again.
He carries his bags with ease, hurrying home to hopefully have some time to clean up before his mom gets in. His long legs swiftly carry him the few blocks to his building and inside up the stairs. He’s up to the third floor and down the hallway to his door in nearly record time. Letting out a sigh as he unlocks and pushes open the door, Suguru steps inside, kicking off his shoes mindlessly before continuing in towards the kitchen.
He sets the bags of food on the kitchen counter and slips off his jacket and lays it over the side of the couch. Pressing play on some music, he starts putting away the groceries, minus the ingredients he needed to make poke bowls for his mom and himself. He takes off his tie and rolls up the sleeves of his shirt before he redoes his hair, tying it all up into a neat bun and out of the way. He washes his hands and starts cutting up the salmon, humming along with the music playing through the speaker in his living room.
Maybe I should get a cat… Suguru thinks to himself, wishing he had his own Shiro to come meow at him while he prepares dinner. Mmm, maybe not, she’s plenty. He smiles and chuckles to himself as he continues slicing the salmon into small cubes.
~~~~~~~~~~
“Shoko, I think I’m gonna head home, I still have to feed Shiro.” Satoru says, looking across the table at Shoko as she sips on her drink. He swirls around the ice from his empty shirley temple that sits in front of him.
“That’s always your excuse! You really are a square.” She says, furrowing her brows disapprovingly. Satoru rolls his eyes with a smile.
“I’ll pay for your ride home.” Satoru says, raising his eyebrows, trying to entice her.
She narrows her eyes, looking at him with a frown for a brief moment before she caves. “Fine.” Satoru smiles at her as they stand up from their table and head back outside, ready to head home after having been there for about two hours already. “You better get Geto to come next week.” She says, crossing her arms and looking up at Satoru.
“Don’t worry, we’ll both be here next week.” He says, rocking forwards and back between his heels and toes as he orders the ride.
“You better.”
Satoru slips his phone back into his pocket. “I promise.” After Shoko’s ride picks her up, Satoru heads towards the train station to head home. The Friday night crowd was something that he was used to, but he just sticks his headphones in his ears and pushes forward. Despite his size, he weaves skillfully and quickly through groups of people, never even managing to brush up against someone.
His music plays in his ears as he steps onto the already crowded train. Most of the seats were taken already, so he grabs onto one of the many hand holds hanging down to keep himself steady on the short ride back towards his home. He still enjoys looking at all the people around him and making up ridiculous backstories about them, but it doesn’t feel quite the same anymore without Suguru there with him.
The lights from the buildings whisk by as the train speeds down the tracks. Satoru looks out, looking at the view rather than the people surrounding him. He smiles to himself as it reminds him of Suguru; the way he’s always mesmerized by looking out his living room window at the sea of lights surrounding his apartment. He pulls out his phone and snaps a quick picture, intending on showing it to Suguru later.
The train finally pulls up to his stop. “Excuse me.” He says politely with a smile as he tries to squeeze past towards the doors. Many eyes are on him as he exits the train, as they usually are, but Satoru doesn’t even notice it any more - especially so when he’s with Suguru. Once he’s out onto the platform, his legs carry him quickly towards the street. He walks happily to the beat of his music with his hands in his pockets, ready to be home after a long day of work.
Finally making it up to his front door, Satoru unlocks it and pushes it open, making his way inside and immediately calling out, “Shiro! I’m homeee!” He sheds his shoes by the front door and sets his things down on the small table before he makes his way towards his room to change.
He slides his jacket off and hangs it back up in the closet before loosening his tie and taking it off, neatly putting it back in the drawer with the rest of his tie collection. After changing into more comfortable clothes, he shuts off the closet light and closes the door, only to see Shiro sitting at the foot of the bed.
“Shiro, baby, there you are!” He says, excitedly going over to pick her up and cradle her in his arms. She surprisingly tolerates it with the scratches he gives her under the chin as a bribe. “I missed you. Are you hungry?” He asks, heading back out towards the living room and kitchen. She manages to wiggle out of his grasp and run up ahead of him towards her food bowl, knowing that it’s time for her dinner.
“Okay, okay, don’t worry, I’m getting there.” Satoru shushes her as his tall figure bends over to pick up her bowl before heading over to the fridge to grab her leftover food from the morning. He spoons it into her bowl, mashing it up evenly before putting it back down in its normal spot. “What should I have for dinner, Shiro?” He asks her, although he’s just talking to himself.
He opens the fridge once again, looking over his options before finally deciding on some leftover curry rice from the night before. He quickly heats it up before going to sit down at the table to eat, Shiro following beside him like a shadow after she had finished eating her own dinner.
“This is mine, Shi.” Satoru jokes at her before taking his first bite. “Mmmm.” He hums, satisfied with the taste as hits his tongue. Between bites, he checks his phone, seeing if maybe Suguru had texted him something. He’s slightly disappointed to see nothing from Suguru, but happy to see a text from Shoko that she made it home alright. He quickly types out nonsense emojis and clicks send.
‘😁🕺🏼🪤🧌’
Before he can even fully set his phone back down, he hears the ding of what can only be her response.
‘gojo what the fuck does that mean???’
He chuckles to himself, no longer focused on the food in front of him.
‘🧍🏼‍♂️🤞🏻🟣’
‘weirdo’
He smiles, setting his phone back down to continue eating. He quickly finishes up and cleans his dishes before heading back out towards the living room, picking up his phone from the table on the way. Shiro follows silently behind him, jumping up on the couch as he plops down into the corner, resting his feet up on the chaise.
“Oh, so when Sugu’s not here, you like me again, huh?” He asks with a smile as she walks happily into his lap, demanding attention. When Suguru was there, he was her favorite person in the world, but of course she still loved Satoru. “Should we watch something?” He says out loud, picking up the remote to the tv and clicking it on. Satoru continues petting Shiro as he looks through the options, finally deciding on a random comedy movie that he could half pay attention to while he thought about other things.
He knows that Suguru is busy entertaining his mom, but after a while he decides to send him the picture that he had taken earlier on the train ride home.
‘A beautiful view for my beautiful sugu’
He clicks send with a smile, looking at the picture once again and studying it. He realizes that you can see him in the reflection of the window taking the picture alongside with the view that lays behind it and smiles, not having noticed it before.
It’s no more than a few minutes later that Satoru’s phone starts ringing, making Shiro jump up out of Satoru’s lap and off the couch. “No!” Satoru yelps, trying to grab her before she leaves, but ultimately failing. He picks up his phone to see that it’s Suguru calling. He happily answers and lifts the phone to his ear. “Hi, my love!”
He can immediately hear the smile in Suguru’s voice on the other end of the phone. “Hi baby.” He returns, his voice sounding as sweet as honey as it comes through the phone. “How’s your night going?”
Satoru smiles, leaning over to turn down the volume on the tv while he’s on the phone. “Good, but it would be better if you were here.” He says, leaning back into the corner of the couch and resting his arm behind his head. Suguru chuckles lightly, leaving a smile on Satoru’s face at the heavenly sound.
“I’ll see you tomorrow, toru, okay?”
“That’s so many hours from now!” He whines jokingly, knowing that Suguru is smiling on the other end. “How’s your night going? Did your mom make it okay?” He switches up.
“Yeah- yeah, it’s good, she made it alright… I wish you were here too, though.” Suguru says, leaving a big smile on Satoru’s face.
“I can be there.” He says, sitting up quickly. Suguru chuckles lightly once again.
“Baby…” Suguru starts before Satoru cuts him off.
“Suguuu, you can’t call me baby like that and not expect me to want to come rip your pants off.” Satoru says, with dramatic facial expressions despite Suguru not being able to see him. He hears another soft chuckle come through the phone into his ear and he nearly melts into a puddle at the sound of it. “Sweets, you’re killing me here.” He draws out, only hearing the sound of his laugh continue through the phone. Satoru falls to the side, shoving his face into the cushion and letting out a groan.
Suguru smiles at the array of nicknames Satoru has for him. “You can come over anytime after 5 tomorrow.”
“Okay, so I’ll see you at 5 then.” Satoru says, sitting back up with a smile on his face. He can hear the smile in Suguru’s voice when he replies.
“I don’t think I’ve ever heard of you being described as ‘on time.’” He teases before switching up and asking Satoru a question. “Are you excited?”
“Of course I am! Why do you think I’ve been asking forever?” Satoru stands up, walking aimlessly around the living room before landing over in one of the armchairs next to the large windows lining the wall.
“You’re really not nervous at all?”
Satoru’s head tilts to the side, slightly confused as he crosses one leg over the other and sits back into the chair. “Should I be?”
“Well, not really, I guess.”
“Good!” He can hear Suguru laugh lightly on the other end of the phone. “Do you need me to bring anything?” He looks out the window at the flickering lights of the city below. The warm summer Friday night meant exceptionally busy streets, making for much to look at.
“I don’t think so, I got pretty much everything I needed last night.” Satoru can hear Suguru let out a tired sounding sigh from the other end of the line.
“Is everything alright?” Satoru questions, his bottom lip sticking out in a slight pout.
“Yeah, don’t worry about it, just tired is all.”
Satoru lets out a breath that he wasn’t aware he was holding in, thankful that nothing is wrong. “You’ve been working hard this week. You should go to bed and get some rest.”
“Satoru, it’s only 8:30, and my mom’s here, anyway.”
“Sugu, I’m sure she would understand.” Satoru says, wanting Suguru to get some rest over the weekend before they have to go back to work on Monday. “Nanami’s been giving you too much work.” He grumbles, furrowing his brows together and continuing to look out the window at the view below.
“No, no, it’s fine, really. I just need to organize my time better to finish it all.” Suguru lets out another deep breath and there’s a silence between them for a moment. During the silence, Satoru can hear the faint clicking of a keyboard coming through the phone.
“Are you working?!” Satoru asks, his voice rising in pitch, surprised.
“Just one little thing that I was supposed to finish earlier.” He says, sounding slightly defeated.
“Sugu! Give yourself a break, please. You work too hard.”
“I think it could be argued that you don’t work enough.” Suguru shoots back, jokingly. Satoru scoffs with a smile.
“I do just enough!” His eyebrows are raised and he has a smile on his face. “Just ask Ijichi to finish it for you or something.” He hears Suguru chuckle lightly.
“Toru, you can’t just dump everything on him. He has better things to be working on.”
“Sure you can! I can ask him for you.”
“No, no, no, no, no, you’re not doing that. I just need like five more minutes to finish this up anyways. Then I’ll go lay down, how does that sound?”
Satoru taps his finger to his chin, seemingly lost in thought. “Hmmm… Alright, but you better not be doing any more work tonight, alright?” Satoru warns.
“Alright, alright… I’ll see you tomorrow though.” Suguru says, a soft smile sitting on his lips, excited for Satoru to finally meet his mother. “I’m making stir fry for us.”
“What’s for dessert?” Satoru asks, not even worried in the slightest about what they were eating for dinner.
Suguru chuckles lightly. “There’s my Satoru.” Satoru’s cheeks warm at the way he says it. “Umm, I picked up some cheesecake, if that sounds good to you?”
“That sounds perfect, my sweet.”
“I’ll see you tomorrow then?”
“I’ll be there right at five.” Satoru says, standing up from his spot in the chair and walking back towards the couch. He picks up the remote and turns the tv off before heading towards his bedroom.
“I kind of doubt that.”
“Go get some rest, Sugu.” Satoru says, heading into his closet and setting the phone on a shelf, Suguru’s voice coming through the speaker now.
“I will… I love you.”
“I love you too, my little cheesecake.” Satoru says, sweetly as he takes off his shirt and tosses it into the hamper.
Laced with a smile, Suguru leaves him with a quiet, “Goodnight, Toru.”
“Goodnight, Sugu.” He says with a content smile before the call hangs up and he’s left there in silence getting ready for bed.
~~~~~~~~~~
The next morning and early afternoon seem to drag on forever while Satoru waits for his time to leave. Suguru said 5, so Satoru planned on being there at 5. He wasn’t always the best at being on time to things, but he was mostly on time to work - as long as he didn’t get too distracted by Shiro in the morning. Since Suguru had started sleeping over more regularly, he actually helped Satoru a lot with being on time every day instead of just some days. Suguru hadn’t told him, but Nanami had even thanked him once for getting Satoru to start showing up on time more consistently.
Satoru starts his day off by putting in his headphones and taking a run around the path that surrounds the Imperial Palace in Chiyoda City. His feet hit the ground perfectly along with the beat of the music blasting in his ears. His muscular legs carry him along the pathway, the warm morning sun hitting his lightly flushed cheeks. A black headband keeps his hair from sticking to his forehead as sweat eventually forms, pulling it up and out of his face. He runs for just under an hour before he decides it’s time to head back home.
He takes a quick shower and spends a little bit more time than usual trying to decide on what to wear. Okay, maybe I’m a tiny bit nervous. He decides to quickly text Suguru, not even sure if he would respond.
‘Sugu what should I wear???’
He decides to go focus on something else to keep his mind distracted while he hopes for a response from Suguru. As he’s walking out of his bedroom and back towards his office, his phone dings in his hand, surprising him. He lifts his phone and stops to stand in the hallway, reading the message from Suguru.
‘Wdym? Wear whatever you want’
‘I wanna make a good first impression’ He hits send and immediately sees the bubble to indicate that Suguru’s typing.
‘Don’t worry about it too hard’ A second text follows quickly after the first. ‘You’ll give yourself a migraine’
Satoru chuckles as he continues standing in the hallway, smiling down at his phone, although still slightly worried. ‘Suguuu pleaseee😭😭’
‘Just wear what you normally wear, you’ll look fine in whatever’
‘Just fine??? Not handsome or sexy or cute???🥺’ Satoru slowly starts back towards his room, deciding to start looking for what to wear again after getting a quick answer from Suguru.
‘Shut up.’ Followed quickly by, ‘You know what I meant 🙄’
Satoru starts looking through his closet again, focused on finding something when his phone dings a final time.
‘You know I always think you’re cute in whatever you wear 🖤’ Satoru smiles to himself, his heart nearly fluttering in his chest as he reads the message and finally picks out a white tshirt and some dark blue tapered leg pants. He tucks the shirt neatly into the pants and heads into the bathroom to check himself out.
“What do you think, Shi?” He says, messing with his hair slightly in the mirror. She stares up at him without making a peep. “Yeah, I think it looks good too.” He smiles at himself in the mirror, feeling the nerves slightly building from deep inside. Why the hell am I so nervous? He sighs, knowing exactly why. What if she doesn’t like me? Although he’s quite the charmer and can talk to just about anyone he sees, he’s never actually felt the insane pressure of having to meet a significant other’s family before. It was something completely foreign to him and he really didn’t want to mess it up. What if she tells Suguru to break up with me? Would he listen to her? He thinks of his own parents - not necessarily mean per se, but cold; more of authority figures than family members. Stop it, you’re being crazy.
He slaps his hands to the sides of his cheeks, pulling them down, slowly stretching his eyes and mouth down with a groan. “Ughhh, Shiro, what if she hates me?” He finds himself trying not to spiral, but can’t help but make himself more and more nervous. “It’s fine! It’ll be fine. Everything will go perfectly.” He looks down at Shiro who looks back up at him, her big round eyes looking into his. “I’m Satoru Gojo, damnit. She’s gonna love me.” He looks back at himself in the mirror once more before heading out of the bathroom and back towards his living room, confidently trying to convince himself that he isn’t nervous.
He looks at the time, seeing that it’s nearly 4. Satoru gives Shiro her dinner a little early when he decides that he can’t stay home any longer. “Shi, I should be home tonight, but just in case I’m not-” He says, giving her a little extra food to last her until the morning. “If I don’t get out of the house now I’m gonna go crazy.” He puts her bowl down on the floor before heading over towards the front door. He pulls on his shiny black boots and grabs his wallet and drops it into his pocket. He finally puts on his sunglasses before plucking his keys from the bowl on the table and heading out the front door.
After he makes his way down to the lobby and out onto the street, he turns and heads towards the station to catch the train. He wouldn’t head straight to Suguru’s, but he wanted to at least be in his part of the city before doing anything. He takes the short train ride to Suguru’s neighborhood, looking around at the other passengers while he listens to the music in his ears.
Across from where he stands, a little girl looks up at him, probably never having seen someone so tall. He smiles down at her and she shies away, hiding up against her mom who smiles back at Satoru. His sweet smile makes her slightly flustered as well, leaving him with a smug grin on his face as the train pulls up to his stop. He hurries off the train out onto the platform, his long legs helping him move swiftly ahead of the crowd.
Once he makes it out to the street, he starts heading in the direction of Suguru’s apartment. He takes his time walking, taking in everything around him. Normally when he’s in this neighborhood, it’s with Suguru, so he isn’t necessarily paying attention to anything else around them. He heads towards his first place that he planned on visiting - a bakery not too far from the train station.
It doesn’t take long before he makes it to the front of the bakery. He and Suguru had been there a couple times before, and they both agreed - after some pretty heated deliberation - that the sweets were pretty damn good. Satoru pulls open the front door and steps inside, immediately being greeted by the girl behind the counter. He greets her back with a smile as he looks over the case full of treats.
After a minute of looking over all his options, he picks out a few different pastries and treats that he knows Suguru would like, along with a couple that he wanted for himself. He thanks the girl with a polite smile before heading back out the door that he entered through, the box of desserts in a small paper bag swinging from his wrist. He sticks his hands back in his pockets as he strolls down the sidewalk towards his next destination.
He makes it to a flower shop that was just a couple blocks from Suguru’s apartment. He heads inside, the pleasant floral smell immediately surrounding him as he looks around. There’s premade bouquets already wrapped up and sorted by color, type of flower, and size. Amazed at the array of options, Satoru immediately notices a large bouquet full of white, pink, and orange flowers. He picks it up and holds it in his free hand, knowing right away that he wanted to get that for Suguru.
Now to find something for his mom. He looks around for a couple minutes, trying to decide between three different ones he spots. Eventually he ends up picking out a bouquet of orangey-pink tulips, hoping that she’ll like them. After he pays for the flowers, he strolls down the sidewalk with his arm full of flowers and the bag of treats swinging gently as it hangs in his hand.
He leisurely makes his way now towards Suguru’s apartment building, taking his sweet time as he walks. As he eventually makes it to the front doors, he sees that it’s still a couple minutes before five. Might as well just head up now. He pulls the door open, careful as to not drop either the flowers or the bag from his grasp. Making his way up the stairs, he takes a few deep breaths, trying to push his nerves deeper down.
He makes it to Suguru’s door and stands there for a moment, taking one last deep breath and letting it out with a sigh before he lifts his hand to knock lightly on the door. He hears footsteps coming up from the other side before the lock clicks and the door opens in.
Suguru opens the door wearing a deep purple tshirt and sweatpants, his hair messily tied half up, wisps of dark raven hair falling in front of his face. He has a slightly surprised look on his face when he sees that it’s Satoru at the door. He looks down at his watch with his brows knitted together.
“You’re early?” He asks, genuinely surprised as he moves aside to let Satoru step inside. Satoru stands there with a smile before he gives the flowers over to Suguru, shoving them into his hands. “Wha- oh- what are these for?” Suguru asks, slightly flustered at the gesture. His cheeks feel warm as he closes the door and locks it behind Satoru.
“For you!” Satoru says with a smile, leaning in to give Suguru a quick kiss. Suguru’s face is warm as he holds onto the flowers, Satoru’s lips pressing lightly against his. “You okay?” Satoru asks, Suguru still seeming slightly out of it.
“Yeah, I’m just-” He shakes his head, his brows still furrowed, “I just can’t believe the Satoru Gojo is early.” Suguru teases as Satoru slips off his boots.
“Hey, I would’ve come as soon as I woke up if you would’ve let me.” Satoru says, following Suguru around the corner into the kitchen where he sees a woman much shorter than either him or Suguru. She has long black hair, similar to Suguru’s, but with streaks of silver and grey sprinkled throughout. She wears light colored pants with a dark blue sweater on top as she stands at the counter, helping out Suguru by chopping up some carrots. She turns around and looks up at the two with a soft smile on her face, very similar to the one that Satoru sees from Suguru all the time.
Satoru sets the bag from the bakery down on the counter along with the flowers right next to it before he extends his hand out towards her with a smile. “Nice to meet you-” To his surprise, she completely ignores his outstretched hand and holds up her arms, beckoning him in for a hug. “Oh-”
“It’s nice to finally meet you, Gojo.” She says as she pulls him in for a gentle hug, a kind smile still on her face. Satoru feels every nerve and little bit of anxiety wash away as her arms wrap around him. It feels as if it were a hug from Suguru - a much smaller Suguru, albeit -  the way he immediately calms down and feels at home. He wraps his arms lightly around her shoulders, completely forgetting why he was ever nervous in the first place.
“You can call me Satoru, if you want, okaasan.” Satoru says politely, letting go and stepping back.
She shakes her head and furrows her brows together, waving her hand at Satoru dismissively. “Don’t call me that, dear, call me Kazuko.” She says, looking up at him with a smile. Suguru looks between the two of them, happy with how things seem to be going so far.
“It’s very nice to meet you, Kazuko.” Satoru says, sweetly as he picks back up the flowers from the countertop. “I really hope you like tulips.” He says, handing her the bouquet. Her smile grows even wider as she looks up at him and over to Suguru who also has a smile on his face.
“My Suguru knows how to find a good one, doesn’t he?” She says, her eyes drifting between Suguru and back to Satoru, the same smile still present on her face.
“I tell him that all the time but he never seems to agree.” Satoru says, slightly teasing Suguru as he talks with his mom. His nerves are gone as if they never existed to begin with. She laughs lightly as she looks for a vase in Suguru’s kitchen to put the flowers in.
Suguru quickly goes to help her get both of the bouquets into water while she and Satoru continue talking. “So, you two work together?” She asks, sitting down in one of the chairs that lives underneath the counter in Suguru’s kitchen.
Satoru leans on the counter across the way from where Kazuko sits. “Yeah, I actually trained Suguru. That’s probably why he’s so good at his job.” He says, making sure to look back at Suguru as he says it who just scoffs in response. “Don’t scoff.” Satoru says, turning around fully to look at Suguru before turning to look back at his mother.
“Hard for you to teach when you’re busy gawking at me the whole time.” Suguru shoots back, teasing Satoru as he sets the two vases of flowers down on the counter, off to the side and out of the way, but still able to be seen and enjoyed.
“Maybe if you wouldn’t have been so busy stalking me, you would’ve learned more.”
“Satoru, it’s hardly stalking when we both happened to go to the closest cafe to the office. Anyways, you’re glad I did, so shut it.” Suguru says, coming to stand next to Satoru as he tries to end it.
Kazuko laughs lightly at their playful bickering. Satoru looks over at her before she speaks. “And you’re also friends with Shoko?” She asks, just curious to know more about Satoru.
He nods his head, eyebrows raised excitedly. “We went to high school together and we’ve been friends ever since.” Satoru says, looking around aimlessly and noticing some changes to Suguru’s apartment since the last time he was there, having been too nervous to even notice when he came in. “Woah, you finally put things up on the walls!” He exclaims, completely changing the subject. He doesn’t do it on purpose, but after seeing blank walls for months, it was an exciting change to see some decor. He steps away from the counter and over to look at the previously empty wall.
The very first thing that Satoru spots is a piece he had recently gifted to Suguru. It was shaped like a cloud with a black lightning bolt through the middle surrounded by baby blue and sky blue clouds. The moment he saw Suguru looking at it when they visited the art gallery, he knew that he had to get it for him. Suguru begged him not to spend that amount of money on a piece of art for him, but Satoru insisted. “Suguru, art is an investment.” He kept saying, finally convincing Suguru to let him buy the piece for his sad and barren walls.
After the art piece, Suguru had put up a couple pictures of him and Satoru, as well as some of just him and Shoko, as well as all three of them, and of course some family pictures. “Suguru, is this you?” Satoru asks, pointing at a picture of a little boy, no older than 5 years old standing in front of the castle at Disneyland Tokyo. He has jet black hair and wears a bright yellow tshirt and has the widest, happiest smile ever on his face, as if he’s trying to show every single one of his teeth to the camera.
Kazuko chuckles lightly as she nods her head, coming over to join Satoru to look at the pictures on the wall. “It sure is.” She leans in, squinting her eyes slightly to try to get a better look at the photo. “He had been asking to go since he learned how to talk, so we finally took him for his fifth birthday.” Satoru smiles as he turns to look at her as she speaks.
“Suguruuu, why don’t we go to TDL?” Satoru asks, his voice slightly whiny as he turns back to look at Suguru with puppy dog eyes.
Suguru’s reply is curt. “You’ve literally never brought it up before now.”
“Okay, but now that I have, can we?” Satoru’s mind is immediately filled with all the different things there are to eat around the park.
“I don’t see why not.” Suguru says, crossing his arms with a shrug as he sits down on the couch, resting for a while before starting on cooking dinner.
Satoru and Kazuko spend nearly an hour looking at the wall of photos. He asks questions while she tells stories that Suguru’s heard a thousand times. “Has he told you about the time we went to Oki-”
“Mom, no.” Suguru says sternly, trying to cut her off before she goes any further. He’s now standing up against the counter, prepping the rest of the ingredients that he needs to make dinner while his mother and Satoru stand and chat like old friends.
“Excuse you, Suguru, I wanted to listen to what your lovely mother has to say.” Satoru says, looking back towards Suguru with wide eyes and an insane smile, his dimples poking deep wells into his cheeks. Suguru shakes his head and continues preparing dinner.
“He hasn’t told you about our trip to Okinawa?” Kazuko asks again, able to finish her question without being interrupted this time. She raises her eyebrows as she asks, seeming almost excited to tell the story that Suguru seemed to not want told.
“No,” Satoru says, turning around to look at Suguru once again, “He didn’t.” Satoru’s eye twitches as he looks at Suguru with a scrunched nose and a smile. This time, Suguru stops what he’s doing, leaning back against the counter with his arms crossed in front of his chest. He listens as his mom proceeds to tell the story about how when he was about 15, they were swimming at a beach in Okinawa and Suguru’s shorts got torn off somehow while he was in the ocean. Satoru is nearly doubled over laughing picuring the look on his face while Suguru stands there with a frown on his face and his eyebrows knitted together.
“Why did you have to tell him that?” Suguru asks, turning back around to continue on cooking while glaring at his mom, but unable to keep himself from smiling at how entertaining Satoru finds the story.
“Don’t be such a baby, Sugu. It’s funny, that’s why.” Satoru says, stepping into the kitchen and resting his arm on Suguru’s shoulder before kissing him quickly on the cheek. He admires Suguru’s face as he looks at him from the side, looking at every curve and line. The point his nose comes to, the softness of his lips, the way pieces of his hair are brushed behind his ears. Beautiful. Suguru tries again to glare at Satoru, but is unable to keep it up when he sees the smile on his face. “Excuse me, but I’ll be right back.” Satoru says, looking over at Kazuko as he heads out of the kitchen and towards the bathroom.
Suguru continues cooking while his mother turns around, leaning up against the counter with her arms crossed, looking over at Suguru with a smile. “I see why you talk about him so much.” She says, watching as he tosses the vegetables in the pan with a sizzle.
“What?” Suguru says with a chuckle, knowing he heard her, but feeling his cheeks slightly pink at her comment. He can’t help but smile down at the pan to himself as she repeats herself.
“I see why you talk about him so much.” She says again, walking up behind him and looking at what he’s doing on the stove. “You very clearly love each other very much.” Suguru doesn't turn to look at his mother as she looks up at him with a soft smile on her face. “Your father would have loved him, Suguru.” He feels his breath hitch in his throat silently. He stands there, staring blankly at the wall in front of him for a moment before finally turning to look at her. She looks up at him with a smile and opens her arms, pulling him in for a hug that he melts into happily. He closes his eyes and takes a deep breath with a relieved smile, resting his chin on the top of her head as he holds his mother close before letting it out with a sigh. “Honey, I’m serious, you better marry that boy.”
Suguru’s eyes snap open, unsure if he heard her right. He steps back, looking down at her with a surprised look on his face. “Huh?” Suguru wants her to repeat herself.
“I know you heard me.” She talks in a quiet voice as she looks up at her son with a serious look in her eyes. “He’s been here an hour, but I see the way he looks at you and I’ve heard the way you talk about him.” He feels his cheeks warm again, knowing that she’s right. He chews the inside of his cheek, trying to suppress the smile from his face as he hears the bathroom door open.
“Suguru, are you gonna start cooking soon? I’m hungryyy.” Satoru whines as he makes his way back out into the kitchen. Suguru smiles as he turns back to the stove, choosing to ignore the easily-answered question as he hides the smile on his face, flipping around the vegetables in the pan.
Satoru continues to talk to Suguru’s mom while they both watch him cook. Suguru only pipes up when he needs to, whether it’s something his mom said or from Satoru. He can’t stop being thankful that the two of them are getting along so well while also being unable to shake the words his mom said to him. He smiles to himself before turning around. “Okay you two, dinner’s ready.” He says, finally finishing up and bringing everything over to the table.
“Sugu, you even made us tea? How thoughtful.” Satoru swoons jokingly as he sits down at the table. Suguru smiles as he sets the dishes down on the table in front of where his mom sits down.
“Of course I made tea.” He says, feeling Satoru’s fingers brush against his leg as he walks back to hang his apron back up. He brings his hands behind his back, pulling on the knot the strings are tied into to loosen them up.
“Did you tell your mother who got you that apron?” Satoru asks, looking over at Suguru, his lips pursed together in a smile.
“I didn’t, but I don’t think it’s hard to tell now.” He says, hanging it back up in its normal spot before heading back to join them at the table. Satoru sits in his same spot that he usually does when at Suguru’s place, and Kazuko sits directly across from him, where Suguru would usually sit. He takes the spot next to Satoru, speaking up again as he reaches the table and sits down. “You guys don’t have to wait for me.”
“Of course we do, you made it, dear. This looks wonderful.” Kazuko says, looking across the table at her son with an appreciative look on her face. She and Satoru wait for Suguru to take the first bite before starting on their own.
“Mmmm, you did good on this,” Satoru starts after his first bite. “Really tasty, Suguboo.”
Suguru smiles at his compliment, trying not to think about what his mother thinks of the ridiculous nickname finally spilling out of Satoru’s mouth for the first time of the night. She doesn’t seem to think anything of it, just smiling at the two of them as she eats her dinner. “Thank you.” He says, quietly with a shy smile directed at Satoru.
“It really is good, dear.” Kazuko says, looking over at Suguru, nodding her head in agreement with Satoru.
“Thank you, mom.” He says, appreciatively. They each take a couple more bites before Satoru speaks up again.
“I got Suguru that apron because I have one that says kiss the cook.” Satoru continues, looking between Suguru and Kazuko as he speaks. Suguru rolls his eyes, pretending as if he doesn’t secretly enjoy every moment of it.
“You never know when to shut up.” Suguru teases with a dazed smile, shaking his head lightly as he looks down at the table. He squeezes Satoru’s knee lightly underneath the table, causing the tips of his ears to turn pink, hidden perfectly by his hair.
“I couldn’t be the only one with an awesome apron, Sugu. I need my boyfriend to look just as good as I do.” Satoru defends himself, ignoring Suguru’s comment. “And anyways, I saw that one and immediately thought of you.” His brows are furrowed and his bottom lip in a pout as he looks over at Suguru. “And, I know you like wearing it, so it’s okay.” Satoru says with a smirk, earning a smack from Suguru under the table. “Ow.” He says quietly, reaching out to grab the cup of tea that sits in front of him.
“So, Satoru,” Kazuko speaks up for the first time since they sat down to eat. “Do you plan on getting married?” Satoru nearly chokes on his tea and Suguru lightly pats his back while he coughs.
“Mom.” Suguru stares at his mother with wide eyes and his mouth ajar. His face is one of disbelief, surprised that she would ask that just out of nowhere, and so suddenly.
Satoru stares with a surprised look on his face, his mouth hanging open as his breath hitches in his throat for a moment before he answers the question. “Uh- yes I do, okaasan.” Satoru says with a soft smile, addressing her formally for only the second time during the entirety of his time speaking with her. It was the easiest question he’s had to answer all night. It was a no-brainer to him that he wanted to spend the rest of his life with Suguru, no matter what that meant for them.
Suguru’s gaze shifts to Satoru’s and their eyes briefly meet. His cheeks suddenly feel hot as he’s staring into Satoru’s sparkly ocean blues and he can’t help but smile at his answer before quickly looking back down at his food, flustered by the whole situation.
Surprisingly, the rest of dinner is uneventful. Suguru is extremely thankful that there was only the one question from his mother out of the blue like that. He grabs the empty dishes from the table carrying as many as he can manage at once back towards the kitchen to start washing them in the sink. As he turns around to head back to grab the rest, Satoru quickly follows behind him with hands full of the rest of the dishes and utensils from the table.
“You don’t have to do that, baby.” Suguru says sweetly, his voice like syrup and just loud enough for Satoru to hear as he turns back around to face the sink now full of dishes.
“Yeah, but I’m doing it anyway.” He says, stepping up right beside Suguru at the sink. As Satoru sets everything down carefully, Suguru starts by scrubbing the larger dishes. Satoru moves to the other side and helps him by drying off the clean ones and putting them away where they belong. Satoru looks at Suguru’s face as he focuses on cleaning. I could do just this for the rest of my life. He smiles to himself, throwing the towel over his shoulder and resting his elbow on Suguru’s shoulder and letting his head fall to the side. “You’re cute.” Satoru says quietly, looking up at Suguru who smiles slightly at Satoru’s comment.
“You’re cute.” Suguru says in response, turning his head to leave a kiss on the top of Satoru’s head, his hair tickling Suguru’s cheeks as he finishes cleaning the last thing in the sink. He hands it off to Satoru and dries off his hands on the same towel that Satoru holds. “Thanks.”
“I’ll always help you do dishes, Sugu.” Satoru says with big puppy dog eyes.
“I’ll remember that.” Suguru says teasingly, raising his eyebrows at Satoru.
“Now what about dessert?” Satoru asks, loud enough for Kazuko to hear as well. She chuckles lightly and meets Satoru’s eyes when he looks back at her still sitting at the table. “Suguru, your mother agrees with me, isn’t that right, Kazuko?” Satoru asks, hoping she’ll go along with it.
“Oh, of course, honey.” She nods her head with a smile, standing up from her seat at the table to join the two of them in the kitchen.
“See, Sugu? She agrees with me.” Satoru says, leaning closer to Suguru as he passes him on the way to the fridge. He pulls out the cheesecake that Suguru had picked up, as well as the box of treats that he’s got on the way here.
“Satoru, why did you get so much?” Suguru asks, opening up the box to see all the kids of things he picked out.
“Because I wanted to try them all!” Suguru laughs quietly, not sure why he was expecting any different of an answer from the sweet tooth that is Satoru Gojo.  “And, I wasn’t sure what your sweet mother would like.” He continues on, charismatic as always. Suguru cuts up pieces of the cheesecake for each of them while Satoru pulls out all the different sweets from the box. They each pick out something that catches their eye and head back to the table to dive in.
Satoru is the first to finish his dessert, and he even goes back in for more, leaving both Suguru and Kazuko amazed at how he can fit so much food into such a slim body.
“I have no idea where it all goes.” Satoru says quietly to his mom as Satoru comes back with more sweets that he wanted to try. She chuckles lightly, looking over to Suguru.
“Your father was exactly the same way when we were young.” She starts with a smile on her face. Satoru sits back down quietly, interested in what she has to say. “I would bake something and bring it to school every week  for him.” She looks off to the side, recalling the days of her youth. “He always said it was my smile that won him over, but I really think it was the sweets.” Both Satoru and Suguru smile sweetly as they listen to her talk. Satoru has forgotten about his own dessert, instead resting his head on Suguru’s shoulder.
“I believe him.” Satoru says out of the blue. Suguru and Kazuko look at him, slightly confused. “About the smile, I mean…” He says, sheepishly. Kazuko smiles at him, understanding what he’s saying.
“You’re very sweet, Satoru.”
“You and Suguru have the same smile.” He continues, a loving glint in his eye as he feels Suguru’s hand rubbing softly on his back.
The three of them sit at the table, sharing stories and different memories back and forth for over an hour until Kazuko briefly gets up and Satoru sees the time.
“Should I head home soon?” Satoru asks quietly, leaning over to Suguru.
“What? Why?” He asks with a frown. “You’re not spending the night?”
“I wasn’t sure if your mom wanted me to.”
“Satoru it’s my home. I get to decide who stays here.” Suguru says, looking at Satoru with raised eyebrows and a grin. Satoru smiles back at him, excited to hear that they can sleep in the same bed tonight. “We are gonna be on the couch though.” He says, looking over Satoru’s shoulder at his couch. It doesn’t make for an uncomfortable bed, by any means, but it was still a couch bed.
“No, no, no, you guys take your bed, I’ll be fine on the couch.” Kazuko shakes her head as she insists, stepping back out into the living room.
“Mom, we’ll be fine on the couch, take my bed.”
“You two take your bed, honey.” She says.
“But you already slept there, just take it.”
“Suguru, I’m your mother and you’ll listen to me. Stop trying to be nice, you’re sleeping in your bed.” She says sternly.
Even Satoru straightens up, her tone reminding him of being scolded by his own mother in his younger years. “Are you sure, okaasan?” His voice is sweet, still trying to be polite while Suguru tries to disagree but gets cut off.
She looks Satoru in the eyes, now ignoring her son. “Satoru. Take the bed.” She insists, nodding her head slowly as she raises her eyebrows. Satoru nods his head rapidly as Kazuko looks over at Suguru, raising her eyebrows at him as well. He lets out a sigh, his eyes falling closed.
“If you say so.” Suguru says, crossing his arms and shaking his head in disbelief.
“I do. Now stop your whining” She says, making Satoru smile as they make eye contact.
Satoru pulls out the couch while Suguru sets it up with sheets and pillows for his mom to sleep on for the night. Satoru heads into Suguru’s room, turning around when he hears him speak up from just behind him. He hangs in the doorway with a smile, waiting for Suguru.
“Last chance for the bed.” Suguru says, his back facing Satoru as he looks at his mom.
“Goodnight, you two.” Kazuko says, with a smile, completely ignoring Suguru’s offer.
“Goodnight!” Satoru says cheerily before ducking back into Suguru’s room, him following right behind and shutting the door softly. Satoru starts by undressing down to his underwear, leaving his clothes in a disheveled pile on the floor. He grabs one of Suguru’s tshirts out of his closet and pulls it over his head, a routine that he’d become accustomed to whenever he slept over.
Suguru tosses his shirt into the hamper, keeping his sweats on. Without any warning, Satoru wraps his arms around Suguru’s shoulders, pulling him for a tight hug. Suguru smiles, inhaling deeply through his nose before letting it out slowly as he wraps his arms around Satoru’s torso. “You okay?” He asks softly, not sure how he’s feeling. Satoru nods, his face squished into Suguru’s warm shoulder.
“Mmhmm.” He hums as they sway slowly back and forth. They remain in silence for a few moments before Satoru takes a deep breath and lets it out with a quick sigh. “I really like your mom.” He says softly into Suguru’s ear. Suguru loosens his grip to step back, but Satoru stays attached. Suguru smiles before rewrapping his arms around Satoru and just holding him tightly for a while longer.
“She really liked you.” Suguru says in response, knowing it’ll make Satoru happy to hear. Satoru’s heart beats hard in his chest as he smiles into Suguru’s shoulder. He can’t do anything but nod his head and hold tightly onto Suguru. They stay like this for a few more seconds before finishing getting ready for bed.
Finally ready to go to sleep, Satoru pulls back the covers on the bed and climbs under, Suguru following closely behind. Satoru immediately curls up into Suguru, smiling when he feels his arms wrap around him once again. They stay like this, holding each other quietly, just the sound of their even breathing filling the room until Satoru speaks up quietly.
“Gugu…”
Suguru rolls his eyes and shakes his head, but can’t hide the ginormous smile on his face at the new nickname. “Yes darling?” Suguru says, making Satoru nearly melt into a puddle. He doesn’t use ‘darling’ often, but when he does, it’s always sure to make Satoru beam.
“Well…” The smile can immediately be heard in his voice. He takes a deep breath before continuing, making Suguru wonder what’s about to come out of his mouth. “Did you really mean it when you said we could go to TDL?” His voice is quiet, almost whiney. Suguru can’t help but chuckle lightly, his chest moving underneath Satoru’s head.
“Of course I meant it.” He says before kissing the top of Satoru’s head. “You don’t think I wanna go too?” Satoru lifts his head, looking at Suguru in the dark, both of their faces barely lit by the light coming in from the window. He leans in and presses a soft slow kiss to Suguru’s lips, both of them smiling into the kiss.
Suguru lets his tongue wander into Satoru’s mouth just for a moment before pulling back, realizing that his mother is basically just on the other side of the wall. Satoru lets out a quiet whine when he pulls back, wanting the kiss to keep going. “You know that’s not a good idea, Toru.” Suguru says, his hand reaching up under his shirt and rubbing slow circles on Satoru’s back. His skin is warm and soft underneath his fingers. He wants to touch every part of his body, but also knows better and knows that neither of them would be able to keep quiet enough.
“I knowww.” Satoru draws out. “Doesn’t stop me from wanting it though.” He says, a smirk laced in his voice. He closes his eyes, his face on Suguru’s chest, feeling the slow rise and fall with his breathing.
“Sugu…” Satoru says again, quietly.
“Hm?” Suguru thinks it’s going to be another ridiculous question as Satoru often has many ridiculous questions before falling asleep.
He takes a breath, leaving a moment of silence as he thinks about the question he’s about to ask. His voice is soft and gentle as he speaks. “Do you really think your dad would’ve liked me?” He feels Suguru’s chest immediately slow underneath him and worries that he’s said something wrong. For once, he doesn’t say anything else, just waiting silently for Suguru to say something.
Suguru holds both his lips in between his teeth as he looks up at the ceiling, thinking about Satoru’s question. His tongue clicks as he opens his mouth, trying to answer. “I do.” He manages to get out, quickly realizing that his eyes are a little more wet than they were a few seconds prior.
Satoru takes the answer happily, willing to keep the comfortable silence between the two of them for a long while before speaking up one last time. “Goodnight, Gugu. I love you.” He says, starting to sound sleepy.
Suguru smirks, squeezing Satoru a little bit tighter as he begins drifting off to sleep. “I love you too… Gogo.” He whispers in response.
“I’m sorry, Gugu, but Gogo is not good.” Satoru teases, his voice muffled in Suguru’s chest. Suguru can feel the smile on his face pressed against his skin.
“Shut up… idiot.” He adds in quickly.
“I think I liked Gogo better than idiot.” Satoru says, causing Suguru to chuckle lightly.
“Okay, baby.” Suguru says in the sweetest voice he can muster. “We can talk about it in the morning, okay?” He can tell that Satoru is very obviously exhausted; probably from the nerves of meeting his mother.
Satoru manages to get one last tired word out before falling asleep peacefully. “Deal.” Suguru kisses the top of his head once more, continuing to rub slow circles over his skin for a long while until he too finally succumbs to the exhaustion from the exciting day now behind them.
