Zires the Deep Dragon Wyrmling

Made a Deep Dragon character named Zires! I think this is a very underrated dragon with a cool design. I love the aesthetic of fungi, coupled with the pale eyes. Reminds me of Parasect. I also saw the concept art where they have the antler-like tendrils growing from their head. I love that and I kept it for my baby.

Little Zires was hatched to a couple of Deep Dragons allied to a community of Drow against Mind Flayers. Whilst his parents were in disguise amidst the Drow on important business, Zires wanders off from the nest to explore. His sense of curiosity is intense and he must learn everything and anything! He eventually finds himself on the surface world, leaving the Underdark for the very first time.

Most of my adventures is him getting himself lost and trying to find his way back home whilst struggling to adapt to the bright world. In one adventure, an old Blue Dragon finds him and, intrigued by the idea of expanding his influence into the Underdark, the blue basically adopts him and it's the cutest thing as the Blue Dragon's parental instincts slowly but surely takes hold of his ancient heart!

He has also appeared in my Council of Wyrmlings campaign, where he emerges on Io's Blood Isles and is promptly captured by the xenophobic Council. Our wyrmlings find him whilst rescuing Zithuzirrurrin the Gray wyrmling (who was also imprisoned for the same reason) and Zires helps them by providing them a safe spot to hide in the Underdark with his parents, whilst the wyrmlings try to decide what to do.

I've also done some RPs with Zires as a newly fledged adult, where his father seemingly betrays him on his fledging day and Zires finds himself in the midst of a plot that goes deeper than he ever anticipated.....

More Gray Dragon Wyrmling

My first drawing on the Krita art program, special thanks to @ridicbird for suggesting it to me!

Colored the sketch of my Gray Dragon wyrmling, Zithuzirrurrin, with his single quill sticking up and one floppy ear that I'm half-tempted for him to keep once he's grown.

My new computer does not yet have an art program, so until then, I cannot work on my sketches digitally like I always do. I'm thinking of using colored pencils like I used to a million years ago, we'll see.

Anyway, I had the urge to draw my Gray Dragon wyrmling, Zithuzirrurrin. So here he is, with his one floppy ear and earrings! I also added a single quill-spine-thing that grown Gray Dragons have. It grew in early and represents that one strand of hair that never cooperates!

Council of Wyrmlings: Sargoth's Jewelry

So, uh... I may have gone a bit overboard with this one...

I know, the others don't have backgrounds, but I honestly couldn't help myself with this one. I like doing water backgrounds, it's a weakness, I'm sorry!

Anyway, here's my black wyrmling, Sargoth, in his jewelry. He is also paid by Nizi to catch fish for the group to eat, which is what he's doing here, even if he's not fond of deep ocean waters. He is a swamp boi. But yosh, there's his webbed feetz! Oh, and black dragons can close their nostrils like seals and that is just adorable to me!

Council of Wyrmlings: Zithuzirrurrin's Jewelry

The next entry in the series, my Gray wyrmling, Zithuzirrurrin, or Zith for short. Although he, being a Gray Dragon, is not recognized by the Council of Wyrms as a part of their society, our wyrmlings still treat him like part of the team. As such, he has the gang's signature color-coded wristbands! Also, he carries a bag-of-holding for the quests that the team goes on! Oh, and since he's still very young, I gave him one floppy ear, because cute.

Here is my friend's Blue wyrmling character for our Council of Wyrms RP, Raikirin. This one was fun because I decided to connect it to Rhaegar's picture, since these two are always fighting for dominance.

And no, I didn't forget the horn Blue Dragons have. My friend doesn't like the horn, so Raikirin doesn't have one. He probably has a birth defect that results in him not having one.

Council of Wyrmlings: Nizi's Jewelry

Drew my Brass Dragon OC, Nizi, as a wyrmling. In the Council of Wyrms module whose settings I RP in with my friends, the dragons wear jewelry to distinguish themselves from the 'rogue' dragons that were banished from the Council. So my friends and I worked out what kind of decor our wyrmlings will wear and I drew them. First up, the annoying but sweet little chatterbox, Nizi!

Baby Sargoth

My Black Dragon character, Sargoth, as a newly hatched wyrmling. Very round and chubby with baby fat, his horns just little nubs, and his eyes are still developing their green color. Full black eyes are a sign of a black wyrmling less than a year old, after which, their mature eye-color will be fully realized and they become more lithe.

For now though, round clumsy baby with tiny limbs.

My DnD Dragon Characters: Zithuzurrirrin the Gray

A dragon character I made not too long after I made my original list of dragon characters, so he didn't get to make an appearance there, but he definitely deserves to be acknowledged as an honorary character given he's one of my favorites, right up there with Zelithseth the Blue and Sargoth the Black.

Zithuzurrirrin is a Gray Dragon, one of these bad boys:

Formerly known as Fang Dragons, Gray Dragons are awesome dragons that combines the hunter nature of the White Dragon and the sadistic cruelty of the Black Dragon. These dragons are the most physically powerful of all dragons, outmuscling even Red Dragons of similar age group. Their bite can drain life-force and even devour the soul on critical hits, and they can turn their foes to stone. They can mimic the voices of their prey, and can shoot out the quills that adorn them to pin their victims. Their magical ability is limited compared to other dragons and they are clumsy flyers with short wings and heavy bodies, but they make up for it in sheer physical might and they use their wings give their lunges a speed boost and added height to their leaps.

For a long time, Fang Dragons didn't have a breath weapon, but in 4th edition, this was changed to give them an acidic glue to ensnare their prey and they were given the new name of Gray Dragons. Lore was made to explain this change and it is that lore that inspired Zithuzirrurrin's creation.

For you see, Tiamat, the five-headed goddess of the evil chromatic dragons, looked upon the Fang Dragons (who were not born of her) and declared that she can do better. So she experimented upon the eggs of Fang Dragons, improving them with their breath weapon and petrifying gaze. She gave them the new name of Gray Dragons, officially adopting them as chromatic dragons. Once she modified enough of them, she unleashed them upon the world with one task: to kill off the Fang Dragons and purify the species.

Zithuzirrurrin was one of those altered eggs, and he was born a Gray Dragon, raised under the cruel gaze of his Dark Queen where mercy is weakness and weakness is death. Because of his upbringing, Zithuzirrurrin is wholly devoted to the goddess, hunting in her name with fervor and malicious glee.

Like his Fang Dragon ancestors, his favorite food are intelligent humanoids, who he hunts and toys with cruelly. But his favorite thing to hunt are the aforementioned Fang Dragons, all in the name of Tiamat. It's sad if you think about it, for as aggressive and cruel Fang Dragons are, they never attack members of their own kind. Zithuzirrurrin took full advantage of this, and his victims often don't realize that he's a traitor until it's too late. His favorite tactic is posing as an interested mate, for it is the males that go into heat and their courtship of hunting the female as if she were prey did well to mask his intentions. He has tricked his mates into being vulnerable before him and open for the killing blow.

He travels around as a nomad, the location of his main lair unknown as he spends most of his time away from it. He establishes temporary lairs as he hunts, like a hunter's cabin. Most of his time is spent stalking and observing his chosen targets, the more formidable the prey, the better. Though evil and viewing mortals as food, he does take odd jobs as a bounty hunter for those brave enough to approach him, putting his hunting skills to use against worthy foes. Though he will take payment for his hoard, he doesn't do it for the money but rather something to do for fun.

Now, when I say he is devoted to Tiamat, I mean it. Even other Gray dragons think he's insane. Other Grays do not like Tiamat, but begrudgingly do as told to avoid the fate of their ancestors. Zithuzirrurrin however sees the Dark Queen as his mother, who has given him and his kin a gift for which they are indebted to her for. He will go out of his way to do Tiamat's bidding, declares each of his kills a sacrifice to her, and advocates for her whole-heartedly. He despises Bahamut, her brother, and wishes to drive metallic dragons to extinction the same way as Fang Dragons. Many interactions with other dragons involve them trying to dissuade him away from Tiamat's influence. Most times, he disregards their words and argues on her behalf. Although recent developments have it where he is starting to question himself. He still clings desperately to Tiamat, but when even other chromatic dragons, Tiamat's own children, denounces her..........

Council of Wyrmlings

I do a Dungeons and Dragons roleplay with my friends, using the Council of Wyrms module as the groundwork (a campaign where you play as dragons). In this module, dragons of different species live in a 'unified' society under a single governing body called the Council of Wyrms on an archipelago called Io's Blood Isles. Unsurprisingly, a society of good-aligned metallic dragons, evil-aligned chromatic dragons, and neutral-aligned gem dragons being thrown together isn't exactly smooth sailing.

To foster relationships between species, the clans of each dragon species must give their eggs as tributes to be raised under the Council. Wyrmlings of different species are raised with each other and learn to work together, before being sent back to their respective clans when they're of age.

Our roleplay consist of these particular wyrmlings from left to right, some you may recognize from my previous posts.

Zinezmal the Copper wyrmling. The prankster, mastermind of shenanigans, youtuber, constantly in prison for trying to steal from the stupid. He likes to goad and taunt the chromatic members of the group and is very annoying in his pranks and constant roasting, but also very brave and ready to fight for his team when shit hits the fan. Like his character outside the RP, this Zinezmal has a crush on Nizi and makes no secret of it, being very protective of her and teaching her to use her yappiness to roast others without a filter. He is the hardest character for me to play with all his wittiness, hence why he's in jail for his pranks and thievery so many times.

Nizi the Brass wyrmling. The character I play as the most. She is the tiniest and weakest member of the group, and she likes to talk. A lot. She likes to talk to everything and everyone and will kidnap you to make that happen. "One time, I yawned," is a sentence she said, it's THAT level of inane jabbering. She doesn't like fighting, and often tries to stop the others from fighting too much. She is very insecure about her place in the team, especially when Zinezmal is in prison to leave her as the only metallic in the group of chromatics. At one point, she tried to be mean and evil to fit in, which only made the chromatic members very confused (it did earn her the title of Nizi the Nazi though). Nowadays, though still insecure as to what she brings to the table, she is pulling her weight and using her ability to talk to everything to the benefit of the group. Like helping them from being held hostage by a rogue clan of Blue Dragons through talking to and convincing a scarab to help them escape. Nizi is constantly trying to foster a friendship with the Blue wyrmling of the group, knowing their species are destined to be at odds and trying to avoid that future with him.

Raikirin the Blue wyrmling, played by one of my friends. The official leader of the group after winning against his Red rival in the Challenge of Claw and Wing (a system of ritualized combat made to settle disputes). As vain and prideful as you would think a Blue to be, he nonetheless tries to be a fair leader to the group. Though he goes out of his way to antagonize the Red wyrmling, and is not immune to being annoyed with Zinezmal and Nizi, when shit goes down, he steps up. One of his greatest displays of leadership is when the group was captured by a rogue clan of Blue Dragons (which happened to be the clan his egg came from), and Raikirin refused to join the Blues, and chose to stay by his wyrmling companions even when it meant being imprisoned alongside them. In the words of Nizi: "He chose to betray his own kind and be disowned from his clan, ostracized forever, and is now an orphan, because he chose us! So even though he's an orphan that nobody wants, he's a part of our family! He's my big brother, and we can be unwanted orphans together!"

Rhaegar the Red wyrmling, played by my second friend, is the largest wyrmling in the group. He is forever bitter that he lost being the leader to an inferior Blue, and he is constantly getting into arguments and scuffles and "bap battles" with Raikirin. Despite his anger and bluster, he seems to have a soft spot that opens when Nizi is in distress and she confides in him and he lets her train with him. He is also the group's heat pad when they go out on quests, finding himself at the bottom of the cuddle pile on cold nights, much to his chagrin.

Zithuzirrurrin the Gray wyrmling, is a newcomer to the scene both in the RP and my list of dragon characters. He is not part of the Council, his kind not recognized in their society as proper dragons and his kind not native to the Blood Isles. His egg was laid and abandoned on one of the small islets and he was found stalking the group during one of their quests. Intrigued by the concept of the Council and this draconic society, he decided to follow them. Though Nizi calls him her dog, he is treated as a proper member of the group. He established himself as the physically strongest wyrmling of the group, beating Rhaegar in arm wrestling, and he loves the hunt. When the wyrmlings were separated from each other, he aided in tracking down the lost members. Including Zinezmal, who was having a Jack Sparrow-esque misadventure with a tribe of kobolds. He doesn't talk too much and is often seen observing the wyrmlings in the background, at times amused and at times wondering what he's gotten himself into.

Sargoth the Black wyrmling. He is the member often causing the most trouble. He is spiteful and cowardly, more cowardly than Nizi is as he will choose to flee rather than fight when shit hits the fan. He is very orientated to ensuring his own survival and to hell with everyone else. He is often butting heads with Raikirin (whom he sarcastically refers to as their 'wise leader'), always questioning the Blue wyrmling's decisions. Raikirin is aware of a black dragon's fiercely independent nature and has tried to talk Sargoth into being more of a team player, though he also resorts to threats if Sargoth doesn't comply. Sargoth also likes to steal kills, hiding when combat starts and striking only when their foe is near defeat. He despises Nizi, whom he recognizes as the weakest member of the group. He doesn't tolerate her yapping and has tried on multiple occasions to kill her. He doesn't like the Council either, seeing it as unnatural and hating that he is being forced to work with those he instinctively considers his enemies. That said, his survivalist viewpoint does prove advantagous at times, and it was ultimately his plan that allowed them to work together efficiently enough escape Blue Dragon captivity. He is also paid, by Nizi, to catch fish for the group to eat during their quests, so there's that too.

No, my friends don't write or draw (I'm the writer/artist of the group), and they don't have a social media presence that I know of, otherwise I would link them. I don't feel like monsterverse stuff. I no long like the monsterverse franchise beyond King of the Monsters. I don't know when I'll do Godzilla stuff again and if I do, it'll likely be versions outside of monsterverse (showa/shin), as I stated in a previous post. My obsessions cannot be controlled, so I don't know what's coming next. All I know is that right now, my hyper-fixation is on dragons from Dungeons and Dragons.

Any and all of my writing is here on my tumblr. I also post stories on AO3, fanfiction.net, and deviantart, with wattpad being my least used platform. I go under the same username in all of them.

I wanted to ask why not the rodorah stuff?

Because I stopped caring about the Monsterverse entirely. I'm having more fun with Showa and Shin Ghidorah, and the fact that I RP both of those characters in my friends' RP a LOT. I also play San/Kevin on Monsterverse Ghidorah, but that's more a joke than anything serious, on par with Kitty Ghiddy. So naturally, my fixation drifted away from Monsterverse Ghidorah in favor of the other Ghidorahs that I play.

I often find myself in on-off waves where I disappear and have no motivation to write or draw. Maybe someday, my Godzilla fics will be resumed (though I refuse to acknowledge the existence of anything in the Monsterverse beyond King of the Monsters). Right now though, my interest has moved away from Godzilla and is currently hyperfixated on the dragon lore of the Dungeons and Dragons TTRPG. I'll probably do occasion Ghidorah stuff, but it would likely be about Showa or Shin Ghidorah rather than my Rodorah content.
