Astrology and “Forms of Government”
I decided to make a small essay on astrology and how we may see forms of government related with it. The reason I am doing this post comes from the reality of being in “The Aquarius Age.” In the Aquarius Age government is prominent as it represents how society takes shape as a whole. I thought it was interesting to research where we can find government in Astrology and how the two may relate and feed off each other. I found government to be mainly tied to the following houses/signs;
The 9th House Government (Sagittarius)
The 9th house is government based on higher ideals, philosophies, religious views, moral codes and commonly accepted ideologies among locals. There is a “tribal agreement” of sorts that these codes should be valued by all. It is important to fall in line with “laws” in this kind of government. Going against these accepted moral codes can be very well land you in exile or “prison." Rejection of ideals is treated like lack of respect to the locals you live with. your either with them or against them. Another side to this form of government can be a belief that a specific group of people hold "divine” power over the ruler-ship of people. Thus they govern and control the people and the people have problems getting a say because it’s difficult to be a part of the royal blood line to influence law.
Examples:
Theocracy (Religious text and beliefs forms the direct foundation for the code of law to follow)
Monarchy (A person is granted absolute power of control of law and rule because he is respected and voted by the tribe OR given position by religious royal blood line)
Colonialism (Seeking to impose your divine or economical might on others and absorb them into your rule)
Feudalism (simple concept of protection where nobility protectors commoners. Rich who own land and clergy are in power and protect people who provide them service)
The 10th House Government (Capricorn)
The 10th house is government to empower the individual to live according to their personal devotions and need for inner safety. The family unit is important, so representation at the core level is needed to appease the needs of many. Property rites are promoted and the basic family unit is valued. Borders and land parcels are emphasized in laws of code to give people a safe place to live in their own ways of devotion.
Examples:
Republicanism (people are allowed to directly vote and choose government leadership as long as they participate in contributing to a society in someway for it’s benefit. In this system it might be simply seen that you work, support your family, and pay taxes to support government spending of society. This earns you a share of say in the overall government.)
Bureaucracy (A system in which public officials carry out responsibility of the lower public)
Capitalism (free market trade allows you the power to provide for your own family which is considered a part of the “Whole.” Economics are heavily in play and one to trade trades are basis for generating the resources for sustenance)
Democracy (People can choose others to directly represent their needs and vote on the distribution of power and resources)
The 11th House Government (Aquarius)
The 11th house is government that is dynamic because it embodies social welfare and focus on the function of society as all. This creates many potential forms of government. That said government is based on a few key ideas:
11th house government recognizes the needs of society as a whose. The government structured based around the constantly evolving needs of the members of society. This can create a whole number of philosophies and government value systems that include observing the needs of many and using those needs as the backbone for the government
The first “main” form of government in the 11th house emphasizes social reform. The government is seen as a body that is ever changing and needs to adjust to meet the needs of the individuals. Everyone has a voice and their needs are considered to invoke change. These needs are weighed against the "greater good." If they are accepted as reasonable for all they laws are created based of the plights of the individual. If plights are rejected then people may "rally or protest” until enough support an idea becomes apparent. Then these plights and ideas of the individuals can become common law. Another possibility is that the 11th house is government
The 2nd “main” form of government in the 11th house centers around maintaining the health of society as a whole by trying to empower the lower class. This can leave a lot of interpretations and structures that can create the backbone of government. Governments can be based on ideals of empowering people directly by helping them directly at best. At the worst governments can be created to control people and submit to a view of society that they feel is beneficial for all “no questions asked.”
Examples
Socialism (People directly govern themselves and value the individual equally. A government highlighting brotherhood and fair caring for citizens. People control the distribution of resources directly and everyone “has a share of ownership” of pool of resources.)
Aristocracy (Tycoons and people with substantial resources are voted into having power over “commoners and people of lower status." This government can be good or bad. The good sees using policy and law to help empower the individual. The bad referring to total autocratic dictatorship due to a belief of arrogance possibly leading to absolute control of the lower class)
Meritocracy (power in government society is given to those who provide educational or technological advancement that helps society progress)
Oligarchy (A select few people who access to resources and power use their influence to enact tyrannical rule and manipulate people into giving them power.)
Plutocracy (wealthy people in society use their influential wealth to keep the power for themselves and dis-empower a lower class.)
Anarchism (Most extreme; dissolving and rejection of government completely due to people feeling dis-empowered)
Communism (rejection of unequal rule, Public controls distribution of money. Everyone is empowered equally as long they work and contribute to the overall whole)
Totalitarianism (absolute control is assumed to control the population for a specific agenda. Where that’s maintaining a feeling of safety or an overall idea that society should be shaped a certain away for everyone’s benefit.)
The 12th House Government (Pisces)
The 12th house government is the most self individual autonomous government style possible. It is when the individual is empowered with the ultimate freedom to live as they see fit. It is where someone puts "borders” around themselves for protection from the impingement of others but also to protect their own interests. One makes their own policies and has their own moral codes and enforces them as they see fit.
A further expansion on 12th house government may be having “mutable borders” in a sense. Pockets of few people are allowed into one’s “private world.” The movements are never really large. Sometimes they are for good, sometimes not so good and might even be evil. It depends upon the personal belief system of the leader that opens his “mutable borders.’
Another possibility of government of the 12th house is a “champion of the people.” Someone may also use their individual beliefs, power and access to resources to overthrow a system that isn’t working and help a group rise to power who struggled to gain enough public support.
Examples:
Autonomous Government (self imposed government. closed borders. sets own rules. can live in a sort of self imposed fantasy land
Kleptocracy (using forms of hidden resources to steal power, resources and control away from a ruling body to give power back to people.)
Military Dictatorship (Forces power away from an existing ruling body based on ideals of how a single person believes the government should run.)
Tribalism (small numbers of people band together with similair ideas and objectives to survive. This may be a very limited government, not many laws if any over the people inside it. One of the main reasons for tribalism can be for basic support and comfort. perhaps a simple way to see this is tribalism is a banding together for emotional support.)
Monasticism (Monasteries in a sense are their own form of self government. This is a government where people have freedom to pursue a common spiritual practice towards enlightenment. People are allowed in by their own freedom of choice because they believe in the cause of the movement.)
Cultism (The most extreme form of mutable border policy. Psychological manipulation tactics can be used upon a small group of vulnerable people to enact control over them. Often you see this when people whom are dis-empowered and have a need to belong to “tribe.” Unlike a monastery which lets people in of their own free will and choice; cultism can manipulate people)
