#both but tbf im in college#and come with pre-existing knowledge#most vastly older adults (50+) assume i am approximately a middle teenager#between 18-28 i usually get assigned whatever their age is#actual context i am 20 and going to turn 21 but i am 5'2 and fat. and in the middle of transitioning.#me when im asked to get drinks and i have to remind people i am not 21 yet n they thought i was like 24#very. kind of you. im just autistic with the knowledge skill tree subtype.#my ass is NOT a senior im going into year two!! nowhere near done i am afraid.#my favorite is when ppl assume i am vastly younger “so what you're going into high school?” i graduated 2 years ago i am afraid.#i am still pretty young tbf but like. do i seriously look like a child. like sure im 5'2 but. damn.

It seems like the older I get, the more irrationally angry casual censorship makes me. And it isn't just the "unalive" "grape" alleged filter-dodging vernacular, but the way normal words will be peppered with asterisks, or screenshots will have words like "gay" "hell" "fuck" etc either partially or entirely blurred. Who is this helping? What is the purpose of it, except to reinforce shame and elevate a flimsy perception of purity and safety, however those things manifest. It's so tiresome and I'm sick of it.
