The Wall was inspired by an experience that Pink Floyd’s Roger Waters had during a stadium show when a fan got onstage, and Roger spat in his face…

“I won’t lie, a lot of the feelings on The Black Parade come from a similar place to The Wall. There’s a degree of contempt in some of the lyrics on this record, and a degree of resignation. This record is like The Wall in that it’s about alienation – alienation of a band, and then the claiming of one’s destiny. This record is largely about destiny, but when I ask the question, ‘Will you be the saviour of the broken, the beaten and the damned?’, it’s not for me. I’m not some kind of messiah figure, as has been misinterpreted. It’s simply enough to ask the question – of myself, of you, everybody in our audience – ‘What are you gonna be?’ And it’s almost like the record takes you on this journey and tries to teach you stuff, because if you listen to the lyrics in The End, I say, ‘When I grow up I want to be nothing at all.’ This record is very thought out.”

The Unknown Gay Bank Robbers

Starting in 1986 two men committed a string of 26 bank robberies, amassing over half a million dollars in stolen cash during their three-year spree. Their crime spree was one of violence intertwined with a tender romance.

The two men would walk into a bank at separate times, one a few minutes after the other, the second man would pull a gun and fire a single shot into the ceiling to attract the attention of all the tellers and customers. The first man would then take charge of the situation and order everyone down on the floor, keeping them all at gunpoint while the second went to the bank teller.

After they had got the cash they came for, they would share a quick but passionate kiss, pictured above, as what police and case experts believe was a final goodbye, just in case one was killed by the police during their getaway. They would always do this, with security cameras catching the intimate moment before the two ran, often hand in hand, from the building.

The lovers were never caught, it’s believed that the two of them either died in an unrelated crime or moved on to other things as the laws surrounding bank robberies changed and sentences became longer. If anyone has any information please contact the New Jersey police or your local police department.

This just makes sense

Ok apparently some people don't read into the demolition lovers story this way but I always thought that the devil did hold up his end of the bargain, just in a really twisted way. Because the deal was that if he killed 1000 evil men he'd be reunited with the woman, but he never specified that she'd be brought back to life. So like when he kills himself he's the 1000th evil soul but also he and the woman are both dead now so they're reunited in the afterlife. He gets his wish and the devil gets the last laugh the house always wins etc

if anyone would like to learn a couple tricks for carving pumpkins:

- dont cut out the top to scoop out the seeds, cut out the bottom instead. this way the pumpkin doesnt cave in on itself and lasts longer - sprinkle some cinnamon inside at the top after carving. this way when you put the candle in it smells like pumpkin pie
