The wrist brace came after, not before, because I didn't know he'd be coming, while I slept, to invade my dreams, to almost break my wrist with his supernatural strength, so I went to sleep unprepared, to wake this morning, with this pain in my wrist. So the wrist brace is part of the cure and not the better prevention. You may ask what happened to my angel. The ancients and elders warn and say, when you sleep naked, in shame, the angels look away.

A duende is a creature associated with Latin American, Filipino and Iberian folklore. In Trinidad, he is called a Douen. Originally a contraction of the phrase dueño de casa or duen de casa, which translates as "possessor of a house", they have no thumbs and if you show them yours, they will try to take them.

Retired, but only to bed. In this boxing match of life, I will rise again tomorrow, rested, to continue the fight. Don't count me out.
“In the clearing stands a boxer And a fighter by his trade And he carries the reminders Of ev'ry glove that laid him down Or cut him till he cried out In his anger and his shame "I am leaving, I am leaving" But the fighter still remains, mmm mmm“ -Paul Simon 'The Boxer'

ADVICE
Vengeance is mine, saith the Lord
BY AllenRoy on March 9, 2019
With a little editing and tweaking, St. Paul inspires 6 words, befitting this Ides of March theme. He actually writes, in his Letter to the Romans (12:19 KJV), "Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath, for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord." He is actually quoting Deuteronomy 32:35 (KJV), which says it slightly differently, but gives another good six-word quote:
"To me belongeth vengeance and recompence".
And if we further examine St. Paul's we can find 3 more (one similar) six-word quotes:
"it is written, Vengeance is mine"
"I will repay, saith the Lord"
"Vengeance is mine; I will repay".
This is good advice for the broken-hearted and betrayed: leave it to God and time.
And that is my concluding six-word advice this Sunday evening.
"Leave it to God and time"

My mother died on Ash Wednesday Her last words were to angels Who serenaded her on her way To God and up to heaven. They asked her to join in But she didn't want to sing. It must have been a hymn She knew, but said, "You sing." By  diabetes, most her life, stricken And yet she died from cancer. Accompanied by angels up to heaven, Serenaded by an angelic, heavenly chior. Died at the age of 77; Would have been 78 that year; Serenaded by angels up to heaven On February 9 2005 Ash Wednesday.
