Ребёнок по имени Chara упал в подземелье, он сломал все конечности и по этому не мог двигаться. В тот момент мимо проходил принц подземелья - Азриэль и видя упавшего человека, он помог Chara, добраться до ближайшей постройки - РУИН. Там их встретили Ториэль и Азгор - Король и Королева подземелья. Они вылечили человека и с радостью приняли его в семью, когда он захотел остаться с ними(при том что из подземелья спокойно можно было выйти) .

Азриэль и Chara росли спокойно как нормальные дети. По скольку Chara была очень доброй, она легко находила общий язык почти со всеми монстрами.

Но в один злополучный день в еде королевской семьи обнаружили яд золотых цветов, но... было слишком поздно. Конечно же монстры более устойчевы к ядам, по этому вся королевская семья отделалась болезнью кроме Chara. К сожалению у людей нет такой сильной устойчивости к яду золотых цветов,спустя некоторое время Chara скончалась. Её поминки стали народным днём траура, ведь все знали Chara милосердного, дружелюбного и доброго человека. Они приняли решение похоронить человека на тех же самых злощадных золотых цветах.

Спустя некоторое время после смерти Chara в подземелье упал ещё один человек его звали Frisk. По своей натуре они были кровожадным, злобным и бесщадным человеком, который жаждел смерти от его рук. Они упали на ту самую могилу Chara, видя его злобные намеренья её дух вселился в Frisk. По началу Chara могли управлять их действими, но с каждым сбросом их решимость угасала, после самого последнего сброса Chara умерли оканчательно. После этого Frisk вели себя как истенный Пацифист, ведь они знал:что пречинят больше боли монстрам если запрёт их в подземелье, нежели если убъют их всех.

В конце концов Frisk убил Азриэля и с помощью его души создал барьер.

Of course, monsters are more resistant to poisons, so the entire royal family got off with the disease except for Chara. Unfortunately, people do not have such a strong resistance to the poison of golden flowers, after a while Chara died. Her wake became a national day of mourning, because everyone knew Chara as a merciful, friendly and kind person. They decided to bury the man on the same evil golden flowers.

Some time after Chara's death, another person fell into the dungeon, his name was Frisk. By nature, they were a bloodthirsty, vicious, and merciless person who wanted to die at his hands. They fell on the very grave of Chara, seeing his evil intentions, her spirit possessed Frisk. At first, the Chara were able to control their actions, but with each reset, their resolve faded, after the most recent reset, the Chara died in the end. After that, Frisk behaved like a true Pacifist, as they knew that they would hurt the monsters more if they locked them in a dungeon than if they killed them all.
