I'm even way behind on 911 (only seen Episode 1 and 2 of 8) and I love this show.

Like everyone else, I'm not sure exactly how 911 is going to handle Eddie's re-evaluating of himself. But the interview today was so great because Ryan seems really committed to a holistic view of the character that doesn't necessarily center just one aspect, but instead pulls all aspects in and shows how each one has played a part in who Eddie is and who he wants to be. Eddie is latino, a (lapsed) Catholic, and a veteran with a Silver Star. He's a dad to a great kid with CP, a husband to a dead wife who left him, and a best friend to a guy who loves his kid. And he's some flavor of queer, though he doesn't know it. And all of those things have shaped him and informed his choices, beliefs, and fears. And so all of them need to come into play as he rediscovers who he is.

This arc could be so beautiful and profound if 911 let's it be.
