This is a short story I wrote a little more than 2 years ago from a friend's prompt to get me out of a writing funk.

This was the prompt: "how about a fantasy story based on a fairtyale, but after the ending of the original tale. Where the "happily ever after" turned out not to be so happy after all, and they have to figure out what to do next."

So I picked a Catalan fairytale called "La Fada Morgana" and... got creative.
