The Highwayman
"I don't respect the law, Jimmy. But I think I respect you."
thoughts and a look inside the design of the book under the cut!
okay so I've been sitting on this cover of @envelopedbyoblivion's The Highwayman for months. It's a rancher duo fic where Jimmy is a sheriff and Tango is a bandit (and so much more)! Go read it if you haven't it's so so good I promise
This was initially a passion project for my portfolio meant to be printed into a real book, but I couldn't keep up with deadlines and I ended up not being able to use it :(
However, the whole book is formatted for print (which took so many months oh my god). I'm hoping one day I can actually get it printed because it's one of my favorite fanfics of all time and I'd kill to have a physical copy.
I also got to work with them to create this whole thing. Formatting books is so much work and they were so nice and patient with me ;;; Thank you for trusting me and allowing me to do this and for creating this amazing story :] <3
if anyone is curious about my design choices I'd be more than willing to ramble about them. I spent way too long on everything from fonts to the page dividers

DON’T STAND SO CLOSE TO ME ; WRITTEN BY @word-wytch // mock up cover front & back
THE REVIEW — 🍎🍎🍎🍎
This story deserves an A+!! But for real though, I was a little unsure about this one at first. I’m just not a fan of the whole Eddie x teacher!reader thing, never really got into it, if I’m being honest – Buuut, then this got requested, and I JUST had to check it out! AND OMG!! Y’all, Im honestly so glad I decided to take a chance on it and read it because HOLY CRAP I LOVE IT SO MUCH!! There’s only a few chapters, and wow I’m already addicted because it’s just that good! 😍The teacher is so caring towards Eddie, and his crush on her is sooo adorable (& hot). I also ADORE the story she let him read, I want that to be a real thing!! I can’t read to read more, I want these two to just get it on already and be in love!
little note : I’ve been a little absent lately, & I just want to personally apologize for that! I’m currently working on my own story, and tryna get my comic made. 🥲 covers might take a little longer for me, & I’m also closing my request for now!! When things are more settled, I’ll open them up again! 🩷

As I mentioned in my last couple of posts I decided to take the weekend off studying, to recharge a bit. I need some rest to do all the studying I have to in the next few weeks. Today was already different from what I had planned, but I definitely rested. I am happy to say I slept till 9 am which is very unlike me but I really needed it. I took the morning slowly, I continued my book. And then in the afternoon I went shopping with my mom. I haven't in so long, it was actually pretty fun, and I am very happy to have found some summery trousers because I really needed a pair. Going out with my mom means I didn't read as much as I wanted, and I haven't even worked in my garden as I had planned, but it's okay, if tomorrow won't be raining I will do the garnden work once I get up in the morning. I doubt I'll finish the book this weekend as I was hoping. I am struggling a bit, I feel like the beginning, where chapters were a bit shorter, worked a bit better for me. I am finding it a bit slow at the moment, but maybe it's also just me being tired and not focused enough, I don't know. I am nevertheless intrigued to so what will happen next, so I'll keep you updated.
Productivity and self care:
read first thing in the morning
listened to a feel good playlist as I was cleaning my room up
listened to a couple of old episodes of the books unbound podcast
wore a nice outfit that made me feel good about myself
went out with my mom (and actually bought myself something other than books? I cannot remember when was the last time?)
practiced Irish on duolingo
continued reading The Left Hand Of Darkness

ON THE OUTSIDE ; written by @lesservillain // mock up cover front and back
THE REVIEW — 🩶🩶🩶🩶
Two things ; 1.) I went hella hard on this cover, ngl — which for an incredible story like this?? Worth it. I decided to include not only the pen pals letters, but also some of the little doodles I think Eddie would draw in the margins! 🩷 2.) This is actually the first inmate!Eddie story I’ve read, and holy crap, I am absolutely HOOKED. I loved him so much, especially that pent up drive that pours out of him when they do the nasty!! It’s soooo hot, soo good, and I honestly want him carnally. 😩
just a heads up besties, I’m taking a break from cover making and tending to my own projects! I have a few art pieces to get done!!
