Hello! Just popping in to say i am still working on this and am still alive.

I just... its very hard to give updates cause I can only give so many variations of... 'Im writing in a Google doc' 'I'm researching the coding program' 'I'm proof reading this section....'

'Im sticking it in a essay checker because I'm all alone on this project and don't trust my eyes lmfao'

But yeah, its my day off so I'm going to try and focus on just, 'Drifting together' for today, which if you don't remember since its been a while (I'm so sorry)

Is the first of three games I'm making in level of simplicity this one is just about Stan after he was kicked out of home with (as of right now) just 3 endings ..... though I have bad impulse control so- I don't promise there won't be more in there lolol

Endings:

very early game end, your boyfriend is just gone.

Good happy end as is needed lol

Bad ending, breakup on the trail

Possible ending:

Divorce???? Hm????

My ex wife still misses me????

Considering writing out the full game in twine.... to have a project going while I work on learning Ren'py... almost like... a beta of some kind for the game??

Then I could start releasing things within a month and a half I think post chapters of a diners call, and just release the full write out of Drifting Together then post art updates and maybe coding updates monthly/ Bi monthly....

Does that sound like a good idea? I really feel like if I could just start getting it out there that everything else would fall into place.

(For those who don't know what twine is, the games would come out as like... a interactive fanfiction with very minimal if any visuals until I start transferring it to renpy to make it a full visual novel.)

Any opinons would be loved!

Guys coding is so hard.

I have some sprites, the skeleton and a decent chunk of writing all done.

And i can't figure out a DAMN thing of how to code this will be the death of me

Drifting Together Progress update:

I have a rough script together for the intro that will be polished at a later date, due to that I think I'm good to start adding in placeholders and coding the intro!

Attached are the placeholder backgrounds and sprites for some things.

(The sprites are not the final product in any way, and are only for the intro section.

(The backgrounds are mostly from the show with one being a photo of a dollhouse room until I draw the players bedroom lol)

No matter our circumstances, I want to spend it at your side.

You and Stanley have been going steady for about a year and a half. And as graduation draws near, you can't help but think of your future with him.

But one accident will throw whatever life together you imagined into a tailspin.

But whether it's a white picket fence or a car through the States, all that matters is that you're with him, right?

Hopefully, you can convince him of the same.

I'm actually pretty excited for this one lol, Drifting Together is a VN about your life as Stan's S/O after he's been kicked out.

This will only have 2 endings, one where you go with him (good ending) and one where you don't (bad ending) it will be full of Hurt/Comfort and it coding wise will be my simplest project I will still put so much love and adoration into it and I hope you will love it as much as I do.

Stan is 18 going on 19 in the start of the game but gets older throughout.

Here is a little practice sketch for what he will look like for probably the first 14 minutes of gameplay and nothing else lolol

One of the smaller side projects I'm working on in order to practice with renpy before jumping in on my BIG ol project will be

'Drifting together' a Stan pines dating sim!

A VN where the player is in a pre-established relationship with Stan pines when he's kicked out and going through your life driving state to state with him as drifters! It will probably only have 2 endings and it's ALL about stan baby, short and sweet hurt comfort, and one ending that's all angst!

Born and raised in Gravity Falls, there's not a lot of career opportunities.

The best paying jobs in this town were those in the lumber or pelt industry, or people from outside of town being relocated here... they never lasted long, though.

But that's okay, working at the diner isn't bad. The people are eccentric but kind, and considering everyone is a regular, it's easy enough to put in orders the moment they come through the door and make conversation.

The monotony of it all is torture.

Hi I'm Mello! Working on producing a Gravity falls 80s dating sim with the synopsis above! It's going to be a HEFTY project with good and bad endings for both Stanford and Stanley and maybe a few others along the way-

There will be a Fem, Masc, and GN option for the player, and a mix of fun lighthearted content and the fuckedness that is the gravity falls universe lol.

The design concepts for the diner and stan and Fords outfits are currently in production!

Hello! It is I OP!! I decided to make a blog dedicated to the Dating sim and any other gravity falls projects like it (more details on that later) Applications are still open! And if you interested in following along with this project or others give this blog a follow!!

Calling Gravity falls artists!

Firstly, I love you all your art is so scrumptious mwah mwah mwah mwah!!.

Okay now to the casting call?? Listing?? Idk the term BUT! I am in the process of scripting out and designing a 80s Stan pines Dating SIM bwah bwah!

I'm planning to do the sprite work as I'm pretty good at replicating the gravity falls style.

But! For CGS, the Game Cover(?) (and / or backgrounds, maybe still deciding), I'm hoping to find an art style with a bit more - Pizzaz!!!!

**I am more than willing to pay! Your art is beautiful, and you deserve to be compensated!!!!**

Now some details about what it would look like:

- I will come to you for a few different cgs for both a Ford and Stan route in a stretched out period of time (meaning not all of once, not only because I don't want to overwhelm, but so that I can fully decide on a scene make sure it's fully what I want before coming to you for the CG for it, I don't want to think I know what I want then fully change my mind and then ya know this CG your either working on or finished now doesn't apply)

-We can talk through DM's , email (Tho my email rarely gives me notifications, so if I respond late, I'm sorry), Discord. Wherever makes you the most comfortable, artwork probably should be shared through either Drive or Email, though since Dependant on Size, most sites will kind of crunch them.

-You will receive FULL credit!!! This one feels like a given, but the internet is wild, and I've seen this misconception happen. Just because I'm paying for your art doesn't mean you don't also get credit. Credit your commissioners' kids.

-You get to set the price on your own art! Far be it from me to tell *you* what your time and effort is worth.

-communication is very important, I do work full time, but if I'm free and you need to talk to me, I'm more than open! If I don't get back to you within a day or so, feel free to give me a friendly little reminder that the notification has been lost.

-I will provide reference sheets that don't follow the canon (like other outfits or hair styles or whatever)

- as part of talking out each piece, I'd like a quote on price and a rough?? Idea?? On when it may be completed (Note: that is not like a strict deadline or anything. I understand things happen! Like i said, just pop me a message saying it can't be finished by 'blank', maybe 'blank' or just that you don't know! I won't bite! I'm an artist! I get it!
