After a month away (time in which his breeder was incredibly nice to care for him) I came back and finally got him home <3 Had to change some substrate and change things around a bit since the terrarium dried out with the summer heat (and the friend who stayed to take care of things did not do well with my plants), but I think i like it even better than it was before.

Daemon certainly has been looking glad that the rack situation was only temporary! He was up at 1am last night wreaking havock and exploring everything.

I took the opportunity to upgrade his hides since he no longer fit in his; he now has two exo terra XL ones.

While out exploring on the living room the other day, he showed interest in the stairs for the first time ever (it’s his fourth? Time exploring in there since we moved to this house) entirely on his own (started on the couch with me) and I found it so fascinating to see how he figured them out on his own.

I grabbed him after he made it to the top dw 😅 but it was so cool to see his little brain process climbing each step.

Caught another yawn the other day and the happiness it gave me is Infinite. I love this noodle with my whole heart.

Finally added a UV and a halogen lamp to Daemon’s enclosure!

I think overall I’m very happy with how his enclosure is looking 😭💚 for being my first snake, I think all the research is paying off.

Ofc I eventually want to upgrade him to a bigger space (his current enclosure is a 150cm x 40 x 40), a 140x70x80, and do better with the bio active because im still unsure how this one will do long term, but yea 🌱

He has been exploring at night though so I think he likes it?

Going bioactive with Daemon’s enclosure! I’m missing the clean up crew which I’ll be getting throughout this week.

I’m pretty happy with how it turned out; I’m new with plants so I really hope they thrive and he doesn’t kill them 😭🌱

Deep cleaned daemon’s terrarium and attempted to set up his heating upgraded.

I say attempted because I fucked up and used two faulty converters, and burned the UVB and the halogen 😭 and I can’t afford to order new ones so I’ll have to wait till summer most likely.

But at least I did save the DPH projector, and that is still an upgrade from the CHE he was on. It’ll be just fine for winter heating and now his basking temps are reaching what they’re supposed to 😊

Last pic is him finally being let out of the travel box and being very happy to explore the enclosure. (I took like 4 hours to get it done, oof)
