I am in a similar age range (a little younger, not saying my specific age because privacy) and I have a friend who is a couple of months older than me and people think I’m his mother, and that is in real life, they can see my face. So I wouldn’t worry
You are 22!??!! I was under the impression you where at least in your early 40’s but closer to mid 50’s you have that kind of wisdom and vision bes about you in your shipping it feels like something I could have read in a zine many a year ago.
But to be 22 and to have wreathed such Grace is a truly impressive feat. When you truly are in your 40’s-50’s you will be unstoppable.
Someone. Please tell my 22 year old ass that I don't come off as fucking fifty years old

"The trannies should be able to piss in whatever toilet they want and change their bodies however they want. Why is it my business if some chick has a dick or a guy has a pie? I'm not a trannie or a fag so I don't care, just give 'em the medicine they need."
"This is an LGBT safe space. Of COURSE I fully support individuals who identify as transgender and their right to self-determination! I just think that transitioning is a very serious choice and should be heavily regulated. And there could be a lot of harm in exposing cis children to such topics, so we should be really careful about when it is appropriate to mention trans issues or have too much trans visibility."
One of the above statements is Problematic and the other is slightly annoying. If we disagree on which is which then working together for a better future is going to get really fucking difficult.

Hi there,
I’m reaching out with a quiet hope in my heart. These days are heavy, and my family is living through a reality filled with uncertainty—but I’m still here, doing my best to hold on and keep going.
If you have a moment, please check out my pinned post.
A simple share could help it reach someone who might be able to make a difference.
If you’re able to give, even the smallest kindness can bring light into the darkest places.
Your time, your voice, your compassion — it all matters more than you know.
With deep gratitude,
@nadinfamily

Brazilian photographer Sebastião Salgado and his wife, Lélia Deluiz Wanick Salgado, have been instrumental in reforesting the Rio Doce Basin area in Brazil since 1998. Through their organization, Instituto Terra, they have planted over 2.7 million trees, successfully restoring more than 550 acres of forest and 2,000 natural springs.
Their efforts have transformed a once barren landscape into a thriving forest ecosystem, demonstrating the profound impact that dedicated reforestation initiatives can have on environmental restoration.

I started this blog for Star Trek but I have since realised that (while there will still be Star Trek) my real focus here should be current politics. In a way, I am simply using the principles of Star Trek instead of posting directly about it (if that makes sense)

Hello, my name is Mosab Elderawi, and I am trying to survive.
I never thought I would have to ask strangers for help, but I lost 25 family members in a single attack.
💔 My mother is gone. My sisters are gone. My nieces, my uncles—taken away in an instant. 💔 Our home was destroyed completely. 💔 We have been displaced twice, moving from place to place, trying to find shelter.
Even after everything, I refuse to give up.

🏠 My younger siblings still have dreams. I want to help them hold onto hope, even when everything feels impossible. 🙏 But right now, we have nothing. No home. No stability. No certainty about what happens next.
I am asking for help, not because I want to, but because I have no choice.
Even $5 could bring us a step closer to stability. And if you can’t donate, sharing this post could help us reach someone who can.
Thank you for being part of this journey. Thank you for giving us hope.

I keep hate-reading plague literature from the medieval era, but as depressed as it makes me there is always one historical tidbit that makes me feel a little bittersweet and I like to revisit it. That’s the story of the village of Eyam.
