All I remember is how much the beginning made me laugh because of Inuyashas reaction.

Sesshomaru sleeps with a witch who curses him to freeze to death. He survives by pleasuring Kagome. The more he makes her feel good, the warmer he gets.

Sesshomaru furrowed his brows as he looked down at a suddenly agitated Miko. He couldn't sense anything that may have caused her distress, but nonetheless, she was rushing him in the opposite direction of where she said she wanted to go, with an aura of urgency. Expanding his senses, he felt himself grow frustrated at the lack of a threat. Not that he wanted there to be one, but the lack of one meant the Mikos' actions were irrational.

He was nearly ready to reprimand her when he heard three squealing voices and simultaneously felt the Miko stiffen nearby. "Oh my goodness, Kagome!"

By now, everyone was aware there were two missing members from the newly expanded inutachi, though no one worried overly much. The villagers of Edo had grown used to their strange Mikos habit of disappearing every few weeks, but she always came back.

It took longer than anyone thought it would but the tension between brothers finally reached a boiling point. Sesshomaru and his pack had been travelimg with Inuyasha and his ragtag group of companions for several months. Initially, they had been united by a common goal... the pursuit of shards of the Shikon Jewel. But as time passed, Sesshomaru found himself increasingly annoyed being in the presence of the toxic relationship between the Whelp and the Miko.

FELLOW WRITERS, I HAVE A QUESTION...

Fellow writers...

Do you ever create a character knowing that he's going to be one of the favorites in your story, but your plan from the get-go was to 🔪 him off?

Is it weird that I derive a twisted sense of pleasure knowing that people are going to be devastated when they get to the final scene that he's in?

Do you often write characters planning to end them before the book does? Or is that just a me thing?

Most of the stories that I write are pretty dark to begin with. I didn't realize it until I had a conversation with my therapist recently, but apparently I work through my own trauma via my fiction writing. The maladaptive daydreaming helps too, well it doesn't really help per se... but the amount of wild scenes that just play out in my head make for great inspiration.
