It's a pretty model. I like the way it turned out. So I would like to share it with you.

Hahaha. God, he's so adorable. I have an indescribably strong urge to put Frollo in a cardboard box.

I love my brain at three in the morning. That's when it generates crazy ideas. So today we will analyze symbolism in religious images that I saw in the cartoon.
My English is not very good, so I'm curious to see what happens. So I apologize in advance for any mistakes.
Let's start with something simple, like the fact that Frollo and Esmeralda pray to the Virgin Mary, which was strange to me as a non-Catholic. If we analyze this on the basis of images, the Virgin Mary is sometimes depicted in a Byzantine prayer pose. This means that the Virgin is the intercessor of the faithful and raises their prayers to God.
My favorite moment is the one with the door, which many people have talked about as a symbol of God's intervention. In general, the first thing I associate with them is the phrase. "I am the light of the world." And also with the fact that Jesus Christ will enter this world through the Virgin Mary, as if through a door. It's an interesting combination. I like it.
The lilies near the statue of Mary are a symbol of her virginity
I don't recognize the saints around Christ, but Christ's pose reminds me of the Byzantine gesture of prayer with his arms raised and stretched upwards.
Yes, it is more difficult for me here. So if I'm wrong, please forgive me. As far as I understand it, it shows the flight of the holy family to Egypt, where Herod was looking for the little Jesus to kill. Then the Presentation. As I understand it, after that, Christ preaches in the temple and the last element that is shown to us is baptism.
A parallel can also be drawn with this: in the cartoon, the extermination of the Roma takes place, and at the end Frollo, as the personification of sin, dies.
In general, black predominates in Frollo's clothing, but there are fragments of purple and crimson. These are quite expensive colors in themselves. But in the proto-gospel of James it is described that when the high priest gathered the girls from King David's lineage to make the curtain for the temple of the Lord, the Virgin Mary was chosen by lot in these two colors. This is what haunts me. And the color itself means royalty, heavenliness.
And this reminds me of Proskines's deep gesture

I have an exam today, so I unload my brain by painting. So I don't die.
I think everyone has wondered what Frollo's body looks like under the robe. If you look at him and at the folds of his robe when he moves, you can tell that he is thin. I would say that he is bony in the arms and legs. Let's not forget that he is old, and his skin has already lost its elasticity and firmness. If he started wearing a mantle, I would assume that the upper part is more voluminous than the limbs and close to a square. That is, a square, not necessarily a large belly. But thin arms and legs.
I did this through a translator. So I apologize for any mistakes and hope it's clear.

Well. There will be a new art soon. It will be dedicated to a line from the Ukrainian translation of Frollo's song "Hellfire". I recently sat down and analyzed the lyrics. I liked the large number of Biblical references that fit the mood of the cartoon so well. Also, the wordplay is very good. I got a dose of satisfaction when the puzzle with the meaning of the song was completely formed in my head.

Haha. I feel so weird when my brain doesn't perceive the original voice of Frollo from Tony Jay. I don't even know how to describe my state at that moment. It's like... is something wrong? Doesn't fit? Help.
Just a little bit of pleasantries. Once I wanted to make illustrations for a children's book, I started with sketches and storyboards, but the work stopped. Maybe if it's here, I'll finally complete something
