Companion for a slightly chilly day to start what is forecasted to be another chilly week after a sunny week wasted in quarantine.

I’m one of the few people who prefer Saint-Emilion to Bordeaux and this bottle is a case study on why.

This wine is beautiful, age it well enough and it won’t ever disappoint!

Working from home is hard, it’s boring. But the good part is that you don’t have to wait too long to pick up some good wine and fire up Minecraft.

Saturday

It’s a weekend but it barely feels like it. Closed between the four walls of the house, we finally decided it feel like we were enjoying the weekend. The corona scare got to us.

Tonight in the glass:

Château Tartuguière, Medoc 2015 (Bordeaux)

Accompanied with some cheese and crackers.

PS: I’m really proud of our Christmas market cheese and nougatine haul, but more about that later.

Since I’ve been really inactive here, I’m thinking of converting this to my alcohol blog. Starting now, I’ll be posting the alcohol that I’m having and my thoughts about it here.

Since I doubt I have anybody who reads this space it shouldn’t affect my career much, but on a serious note- celebrate responsibly.

As of today, my favourites are

Beer- Hoegaarden (or Desparado- sometimes, don’t judge me)

Wine- Mouton Cadet (both red and white, discovering more but I end up coming back to this)

April first.

The origin of the how “April’s fools” became a thing is funnier than most pranks I’ve seen in recent times.

As read on @nationalgeographicmagazine : “When France changed to the Roman calendar, the new year fell in January. Those who were slow to adopt the change, often people who lived in the countryside, became known as "April fools," according to the story.”

Apart from this random fact I started working on Barky, as a tribute to Auro- it’s one of those few things that tells me I might not be extremely useless.

Barky could become something that gets me the Ferrari I’ve always dreamt of, but it’s gonna take a fair share of work and a team I wish I could somehow build.

Also, we danced. We made a queue of music from a throwback ranging from 2007-11 and damn I’m gonna miss her, I pulled her close posing to be as incredulous of her soon coming departure as I could - but that’s life, it’s a test of how stronger time can make you. I just hope this passes any test time wishes to take.
