Merry Christmas y’all! 

We hope it’s filled with elation

Today I’ll paint you a scene

Of our yearly migration...

Our trio moves north

To the peaks and the snow 

We spend the winter at Bluebird

In our Cow Camp chateau 

Our little home

Has dogs, moose, and deer

Mice, woodpeckers, and hares

And a fox that steals beer! 

We charge up the hills

On skis that can climb 

We cook hearty meals

Drink beer and unwind

Jeff is a hard-working machine

Building the backcountry biz 

He works himself to the bone 

But a passion, it is

Shasta craves this place!

She frolics through pow

Shushing long afternoons

And snoozing post chow  

Amelia explores every square inch

Of the land, slopes, and trees

Seeking out shedded moose paddles

She lives on her skis

It’s different up here 

Than the city down there

With summer heat in its chaos

The traffic smoging the air

Here, it’s quiet and blank

It’s windy and cold

Peaceful and warm 

Nuanced and old

We’re safe and sound 

But- we’re far from you! 

So cut us out for your mantle - 

And we’ll be there with your crew! 

Well wishes to you 

Your chums and your family 

Here’s to a white Christmas

And a rad 2023!

What to wish you this year?

You know, all the usual stuff, 

good health and good cheer

Last year was about hope

Wait, warmth and hunkering

Hold on 'til the spring!

Adorn your fair bunkerin!

This year though

We'd just like to say

We hope you're back out in the world

Dancing at all the par-tays!

This holiday season

Be a kid in the snow

Toast with your friends

And go to a show!

Say yes to plans!

Life is too short

Spend time with your people

Build a snow fort

Emerge from your cabins

Your apartments and shacks

Gather for weddings and birthdays

Or just for some shared snacks!!

Finally - my invites 

Are no longer warier 

I can use my favorite ism-

"The more, the merrier!"

We hope you're all together for real

Whoever you are,

Wishing you people and pow

Whether you're near or you're far

Our door is always open

Stop by for a beer
