“One day, you'll ask me to speak of a truth - of the miracle of your birth. To explain what is unexplained. And if I falter or fail on this day, know there is an answer, my child, a sacred imperishable truth, but one you may never hope to find alone. Chance meeting your perfect other, your perfect opposite - your protector and endangeror. Chance embarking with this other on the greatest of journeys - a search for truths fugitive and imponderable. If one day this chance may befall you, my son, do not fail or falter to seize it. The truths are out there. And if one day you should behold a miracle, as I have in you, you will learn the truth is not found in science, or on some unseen plane, but by looking into your own heart. And in that moment you will be blessed - and stricken. For the truest truths are what hold us together, or keep us painfully, desperately apart."
like yall heard these words from scully's mouth and still think she didn't love mulder & the x files more than anything

thinking of scully's love letters and "that you should know my heart, look into it, finding there the memory and experience that belong to you, that are you" and "chance meeting your perfect other, your perfect opposite - your protector and endangeror" and "the forces against us are unrelenting, but so is my determination, to see you again...until then, i remain forever yours, dana" and pages upon pages upon pages of sprawling cursive and "i hope that in these terms you might know it and know me" and "mulder, i feel you close, though i know you are now pursuing your own path. for that i am grateful, more than i could ever express,” she was a repressed catholic scientist harboring this kind of gothic enduring desperate love, just bleeding out of her when given the chance

Chris Carter really spent all of season 8 refusing to let anyone discuss even the mere POSSIBILITY of Mulder being the father of Scully's child aside from a couple vague jokes, but now we've got 9x06 opening with a fucking Windows Movie Maker fanvid?? PLEASE.

Scully sexting Mulder via AOL while at an internet cafe might be one of the funniest images this series has ever put it my brain

2 - Pod
Synopsis: Siblings set out to visit their brother whose paranoid delusions may be true.
Year/Country: 2015 / US
Subgenres: madness, the government is out to get us, creature feature
Reason for watching: Sounded like a good movie based on the description and the trailer - the promise of being like the best of the x-files was super appealing (it was not).
Highlights: Once again, the star of the show was scoring; also, thankfully, short run time. I do respect a little capsule of a movie though - this one only was filmed in a few locations and had a total cast of 6.
Lowlights: None of the characters were likable, weak writing made worse by weak acting.
Rewatchabilty: No
Overall review: I wanted to like this one (I always want to like a horror movie) but pretty early on it was borderline unwatchable. I didn't find it very scary or suspenseful (probably because I did not like any of the characters). There was one scene that was pretty shocking but largely because I have an aversion to anything involving teeth.
Who should watch it?: I do think this might have an audience that would like it - particularly those that like quick, indie movies and aren't easily taken out of a story by over-the-top screaming

keep get lot of “even though am only low support needs / only level 1 / verbal / etc… struggle a lot with autism…” n with either implied or explicitly said “not as bad as higher support needs / higher level / etc” “can’t imagine what it like for [ ]”
n as higher support need level 2/3 nonverbal autistic, want say:
yes of course be aware we exist n sometimes face extra stuff extra struggle extra ableism advocate with us be aware of experiences you may not have but
you all have just as much claim to autism & autism as disability as us
don’t need tiptoe around us
low support needs is support needs & level 1 autism is autism is disability. n struggle around that is true struggle valid struggle
don’t need be higher support needs level 2&3 semiverbal nonverbal severe autism etc to be struggle
compulsive anxiety of Must Make Sure Am Not Speak Over so say “even though only 1/LSN”, overly done, actually can feed into idea that only HrSN 2/3 struggle true struggle valid struggle n LSN level 1 not struggle enough not valid enough n so if struggle, must be HrSN 2/3. it actually water down downplay all amounts of support low/medium/high/everything in between, downplay all levels of autism 1 2 & 3
last thing want see is you all downplay self for so long n burn out n backfire, “what about me? why only about HSN level 3 nonverbal people?” n swing other way - this harm all autistics, you n us
confidently say “am low support needs autism n i struggle” “am level 1 autistic n i struggle” actually best way help all autistics, both you n me
