Aaron glared at her as she sat down next to him. "Really? You couldn't sit anywhere else?"
Maddisyn smirked and shrugged, âFair enoughâŚâ She moved over to the spare seat next to him, hoping to get a rise out of him.

"No. It just means I'm usually right."
"Well, Iâm sure being pessimistic must be even more exhausing." she said in  an overly prim voice.

Aaron spotted the guy Mikaela and nodded his approval, taking note that if things went wrong Aaron would be able to take him down with ease, he looked like he'd never been in a fight in his life. And Mikaela was right in her description, Aaron had money, stealing wasn't usually his prerogative, but if he was going to take someone's shit, that was exactly the sort of guy he'd be taking from. "Good pick." Aaron said, keeping his face neutral.Â
"Really?" He said, raising an eyebrow when she said there were things to 'settle'. He rolled his eyes when she told him not to be obvious, but before he could remind her that he wasn't a complete fucking idiot, her list continued. He gave her a questioning look when she said not to interfere, but didn't argue, although he was getting a little annoyed at the list of demands. "Fine. But I'm not saving your ass if things go sour." He told her, though he wasn't entirely sure it was true. If someone started trouble, he'd probably be the one to finish it, no matter what Donahue had to say about it.
At her final demand, Aaron just raised an eyebrow and nodded his consent, surprised at the sudden change of tone and more curious than ever as to how she was going to pull this off. He leaned back at the against the wall, watching her go. He then turned his eyes to the dance floor and DJ booth as if he was simply people-watching, making sure to regularly look back to the bar and to Mikaela and her target.
A Stupid Challenge || Aaron & Mikaela
 âI appreciate it very much. But I donât need it.â she smiled up at him confident in her own powers. âI can handle this situation. Otherwise I wouldnât have accepted to do it in the first place.â At the question, her smiles drops a bit, becoming serious and looking back at where she was looking before. âI think I did.â she replied while looking at the potential âtargetâ. âSee that semi-fat guy over the bar?â she asked before continuing. âHeâs pretty well dressed up, and it seems, single. I saw him hitting on a girl that left the bar not long ago. He definitely wonât say no to any advances and he looks like he has a bit of money.â she summed it up, careful not to be overheard by anyone else.Â
 âSo.â turns and looks Aaron in the eyes. âThatâs my target.â Mikaela announced with a smile. âNow thereâs some things we need to settle up.â crossing her hands, she locked her gaze with his. âOne. Donât try to be suspicious and look at me all the time. Second, donât interfere.â the sophomore pointed out the last words. âI donât know why would you do that, and I donât care. But it might cause trouble. So, even if you feel like it, donât.â she finished and made a pause before continuing. âI think thatâs all.â Mikaela turned around and made a few steps. âOh!â she reminded and turned a bit, more her head than her body. â Whatever you see tonight..â she started with a low but steady voice â..remains between us.â. It was not a question. It was a demand. The look that she gave Aaron had nothing sweet and innocent in it anymore and the tone was cold and left no questioning that she meant otherwise. The girl was dead serious. After a moment, she turned back and headed towards the man.Â

"Oh don't worry." Aaron countered, looking back out at the students as they ran, "If any of them think they can get away with walking when I said run, I'll make damn sure they regret it." He told her, crossing his arms while he watched the freshman. He smiled when she questioned whether he really thought she'd miss practice, "No." He replied, "I knew you'd be here." It was true. If he knew Nikki, he knew something like this wouldn't keep her off the field for long - if at all. She was tough. He'd do the same thing if some asshole somehow managed to break his arm.
Aaron nodded at both her choices - good eye. He hadn't payed much attention to the girl near the back - his attentions were more focused on the frontrunners. "Good picks." He said with a nod, "I'll make sure we try her out in goal before we're done here." He told her, and turned his attention pack to the group. "I like him for defense." He said, pointing towards one of the larger boys - notable in that he had no shame in shoving some of the other kids to get ahead, a quality some might've looked down on him for, but not Aaron "he's fast enough, he's got drive, and he won't be easy to get past." He explained, "And he probably expects to be a forward, it'll be fun knocking him down a peg." He added with a bit of a smirk. "I don't know about the rest of them though," He scratched the back of his neck, watching the kids run, "they might be somewhat usable once we get some technique drilled into their thick skulls, but I don't have my hopes up." He said, shaking his head, "Sure as hell hope Brooke's alright." He hadn't seen his sparring partner and teammate since whatever the fuck happened to the school, but he wasn't overly concerned. He'd hit her enough times to know she wasn't easy to bring down, but he still didn't have a clue what had happened that week. "Some of these kids might have potential, but we still need her."
Payne Won't Stop Me | Aaron + Nikki
Almost as if to seem like she was back to her normal self, Nikki crossed her arms before she winced when Aaron hadnât been looking. She dropped her arm back to her side and made a mental note not to touch it. The last thing she needed was to have to sit out and watch a freshman fill in for her during practice. Seeing the determined looks on some of their faces, she knew she was exactly like some of them last year but she just got lucky. She got extra training whereas most of them only had to rely on the practices they scheduled for them. Shaking her head, she looked back at Aaron when he turned back to her. With a roll of her eyes, she responded.
"Good, but Iâve always done it where they have to add another lap each time someone stops running to walk it out." She teased with a shrug. "I prefer them at least jogging to catch their breath to keep the blood flowing." Glancing down at her arm when he brought attention to it, she chuckled. "Did you really have any doubt Iâd miss practice?" She shot back before clearing her throat and watching the freshman. She watched carefully, trying to spot specific techniques in their running that she saw in most soccer players.
"That one." She said, pointing to a shorter boy. "Heâs weaving through the bodies easily and that can be used on the field without a doubt. Heâs also quick and light on his feet when it comes to shifting. Itâll be good when heâs taking the ball down field." Looking around, she pointed out a girl that seemed to be falling behind almost everyone. "Goalie, without a doubt. Sheâs slow on running, but her movements still are fast. She also has great reflexes. Sheâs dodged every person running by her before theyâre even there." Looking back at Aaron, she raised a brow. "Your thoughts?"

Aaron watched as Mikaela worked her magic on the bouncer, resisting the temptation to roll his eyes. Anything for a pretty girl, although, he had to admit she did it like a pro. He didn't go to places like this all that often, bars were more his scene - better for getting drunk and starting fights without too much consequence - but he'd been in clubs enough times to know how girls used their charms. He wondered briefly if that was just beginner's luck, or if she really did know what she was doing. No longer resisting the temptation to do so, Aaron rolled his eyes at the accusation that he was afraid to loose. "I'm just giving you an out if you need one." He explained, his tone slightly condescending. "You should appreciate it. It's about as close as I get to being nice." He told her over the noise of the club.
He scoffed loudly at her joke about him having feelings for her, rolling his eyes while she laughed. "Yeah, right." He said, shaking his head at her. "Okay, Donahue, if you're done with the jokes, lets see what you're made of." He turned his eyes from her to the dance floor, looking through the crowd, wondering exactly how she was planning on pulling this off. If it was him, it would be easy, start a fight, cause some chaos, steal a wallet or two, but he figured that wasn't exactly her Mikaela's, if she even had one. "Have you picked a target yet?" He asked, leaning against the wall.
A Stupid Challenge || Aaron & Mikaela
 Mikaela noticed the surprised look on Aaronâs face when he saw her and she couldnât  understand at first why. It took her a few seconds to realize he was from school, and that he, as well as any other from the school, didnât had the chance to see her dressed in one of her ânight strollâ outfits. âYeahâŚprobably.â she shrugs as if it wasnât much off a difference. âGreat!â crossing a hand trough her ombre dyed hair, she smiled sweetly at his daring look and decided to ignore it, though she was starting to get pissed at this whole âI bet you canât do it.â attitude of his.
Maybe Aaron had his methods of getting in without even trying too hard, but so did she. Though, hers were definitely the opposite. Mikaela only needed to give an extremely sweet smile, a flutter of eyelashes, a confident look and it was done only with money and not needing to use her fake ID. The sophomore would lie if she would say she didnât have experience with this. âAsk me one more time and Iâll start believing that youâre the one afraid to loose the bet.â she gave a smirk before deciding to look around once in the club, searching for a possible target. âThat, or you love me that much that you canât stand seeing me in any kind of gender.â At that, she burst in to laugh herself, never imagining Aaron in that position, unless you were Aaliyah. Then maybe, yes, it would work, somehow.

Aaron shrugged. "Don't know. Like I said, haven't been to the infirmary." He sighed. "Whatever. You're dead-set on being optimistic aren't you?"
Eden shrugged, âIs anyone permanently injured? Not from what Iâve heard, besides we canât change it.â

"Nikki's been punching you?" He asked with a bit of a laugh, "Too bad I missed that. She didn't hit you with the broken arm did she?" He said, smiling to himself at the idea of it. "Decent plan," he said with a nod, "but I'm not sure I'll need any help with 'motivation'. Fear tends to be pretty good at that."
"You donât have to tell me that. Sheâs got one heck of a punch." He mused with a small grin. "Well, we could always do what coach made us doâŚ. Get the water jugs and make them run laps tilâ they fall⌠I mean, I wonât go all Drill Sarge on them, Iâll leave that to you, but Iâll help on the motivation end."

Aaron stood watching as the rest of the team stretched. He'd gotten to the unofficial practice early to warm up ahead of the rest of them - someone needed to act like the coach and Aaron considered himself just the man for the job. After all, someone had to whip these kids into shape and he doubted any of his other teammates were willing to go quite as hard on him as he was. Aaron was a lot of things. Sympathetic was not one of them. They may not have gotten started yet, but Aaron had plans to push these kids as far as they could go.
He looked over his shoulder at the sound of Nikki's voice, and smiled to see her approaching, cast already off her arm. While he was aware it probably wasn't supposed to be off yet, if Nikki thought she was fine, she was probably fine. Wasn't any of his business and besides, the team needed her. Looking at these kids, he doubted any of them could even come close to taking her place, even temporarily. "You heard her!" He shouted to the team, prompted by Nikki's goading, "Everybody up! Laps around the field." He ordered. "How many?" One of the freshies asked. Aaron leaned over the kid, glaring, "As many as it takes." He said, practically snarling at the kid. The last thing he needed was them questioning him. "Now run!" He shouted, and they did, scrambling to their feet and starting a lap around the field.
Satisfied, he turned to Nikki with a smug smile. "How's that?" He asked, a smirk on his lips. He glanced once more at her arm, wondering if he should comment at all. "Good to see you better." He decided on, nodding to the arm, everyone else was probably going to give her hell for it, and he for one was happy to have her back in the fray. "So," he said, moving on from the topic, "you think we've got any potential here?" he asked, making no attempt to disguise the pessimism obvious in his voice.
Payne Won't Stop Me | Aaron + Nikki
Bag slung over her shoulder, Nikki winced slightly every time her arm hit her leg. Needing an excuse to practice, she had gotten into the infirmary when nobody had been there and cut her cast off. Now that she was almost on her way to practice, she refused to admit what she did to a teacher or even to her coach. Instead, she settled for an excuse that was accompanied by a shrug. The old âI guess I heal fastâ excuse. It got her out of this sort of trouble before, but sheâd be damned if they brought in one of the freshies to take her place in practice.
"What are you lazy asses standing around for?" She called out with a smirk as she approached the team. "I was certain this was practice, not nap time." Raising a brow, she looked over to the one person that she knew was unlikely to question her arrival to practice: Aaron. "Did you tell them to stretch or go ahead and use practice time to sleep? Weâre lucky the field wasnât destroyed but what are these idiots doing just laying there?"

Eden walked up to Aaron with a box of brownies. She held the box out to him with a small smile. âHappy Valentineâs Day, Aaron.â With a small wave, she walked away slowly.
"Uh, thanks." Aaron said, taking the box from her, unsure of what else to say. He waved back a little as she left and then, curious opened the box. Brownies. Heart shaped. He couldn't help but roll his eyes a little at that. Still, he did like chocolate. He decided he'd thank her later if he remember to, and put the box on the top shelf of locker to take home to his dorm room later.

Aaron looked Mikaela up and down as she approached, and found himself unable to keep the surprise off his face. Partially because she showed at all, partially because she was dressed like... that. "Hey." He greeted her. "You look... different." He said, vaguely gesturing to her outfit. It wasn't like she'd gone through some huge transformation or anything, but the look was definitely distinct from how she dressed at school. It suited her, oddly enough. "Yeah," he agreed, "lets do this." He said, raising his eyebrows, just daring her to back out. Even if she had shown up, he wasn't completely convinced she was actually going to go through with this. Then again, she was full of surprises tonight. Either way, he figured this was going to be interesting to say the least.
Aaron made his way to the entrance with the other patrons, fake ID replacing his real one, even though he rarely got carded these days. Between his physique and an intimidating glare, they tended to just let him in. At this point, the fake ID was more of a precaution than anything else. "So you're sure you're up for this?" He asked, looking over his shoulder to Mikaela, before turning to the bouncer at the door, paying the cover and, as expected, not getting asked for ID.
A Stupid Challenge || Aaron & Mikaela
 Mikaela was only a few buildings away from the club she agreed to meet on with Aaron. It had passed over an hour since they talked and she accepted the challenge. And since then she had to put up with a âbattle planâ, how she liked to call it. She thought and thought while walking Jed. Actually, the idea came by the first thoughts, but the sophomore decided it was the best to not act rash and think the consequences. But, however she took it, it was the best plan. So, not wasting any more time, she picked the phone and made the call.Â
 Not long after, she was heading towards the club with a small grin. She was now ready. After she dressed up a little more darker and tighter than  the others were used to see her at school, using some of the clothes she usually wore when she took midnight strokes, putting on some dark makeup as well too mach the outfit and the fake ID, she payed a visit to an old friend to pick up what she had ordered. The âForget Pill.â he called it. And she knew what that meant and what purpose it had. Of course, she would not use it to rape anybody. Just to make them a bit unconscious as she made her way with the money.Â
"Sorry for the wait." Mikaela greeted Aaron as she finally was near him. "I had some things to take care off. Shall we go?" the girl nodded towards the clubâs entrance.Â

A Stupid Challenge || Aaron & Mikaela
Aaron stood outside the club he and Mikaela had agreed on, tapping his foot as he watched the patrons file in. Young drunk people mostly. Aaron had decided to forgo the booze tonight, he was here for a bet, not a party. A bet he was pretty sure he was going to win, even if the stakes were only the satisfaction of being right. He wasn't even particularly confident Mikaela was going to show. With every passing second he expected another text, explaining how something came up and they'd have to do it another night.Â
He didn't know her all that well, but she seemed sweet, if a little dramatic, and sweet didn't generally go all that well with petty crime. Sure, she talked a good game, but lots of people talked a good game. Talking was easy. Actually doing was a lot harder. Admittedly, she had managed to surprise him a little by taking the bet at all, but he wasn't at all confident she was actually going to go through with it and steal something. Did she even know how to steal something? He doubted it. Aaron pulled his phone from his back pocket, checking both the time and any new messages from Mikaela and glanced around, wondering if she would really show.

Moon: do you have any recurrent dreams?
Uh, sort of. Not exactly recurrent but... the same sort of.... I'm in a different time and I'm... me but not... me. I don't know to explain it. Whatever. I don't buy into that whole dreams having meaning thing anyway, they're just dreams.
