OMG! I made those original Undertale Joyce sprites! This is so cool! I love it when people build upon other people's art. I can also see how you slightly edited the original. The funny thing is, I made that exact change as well a while ago. I just never exported it. 🩷

My uncle came over to our house, and my sister asked, "Why is there a strange person in our house?"

Literally, everyone in earshot immediately answered in unison, "Because you're here."

Now, you can be reminded of the worst possible driving conditions every time you set foot in your car. Remember that time you were slipping on the road and saw your whole life flashing before your eyes? Well, now you can experience the smell of your whole life flashing before your nose! And once you've tried this scent, you'll be absolutely hooked. After all, it's a slippery slope.

The idea is that he wasn't the chosen one, but he was the one chosen.

Story idea: Chosen None

A twist on a classic sci-fi fantasy trope. Protagonist stumbles upon ancient long abandoned ruins with advanced technology. An ancient robot gives a prerecorded message, telling the protagonist that they are the chosen one, destined to vanquish an evil foe and save the world. The hero is given a sacred and powerful weapon and other equipment. The potagonist internalizes the idea that he is the chosen one. Over the course of the story, the hero gets laughed at by the villains. "YOU are the chosen one? AHAHAHAHAHA!!!! That's rich!" Throughout the journey, the hero grows more competent, and gains near mastery over the equipment given to him by the ancient robot. At the same time, he is learning to decipher these ancient people's language. He eventually figures out how to read not just their language, but also their code. With this knowledge, he discovers the robot's main orders.

1. Sustain and protect yourself.

2. Wait for the chosen one to arrive.

3. Tell the chosen one the prophecy and their mission.

4. Give the chosen one powerful equipment to accomplish their mission and fulfill the prophecy.

5. Failsafe protocol: If the chosen one does not arrive in 300 years, assign the role of chosen one to the next person to arrive, then complete orders 3 and 4.

The protagonist realizes that he isn't really the chosen one. The real chosen one never showed up. The protagonist's adventure has been a lie. Now, new questions have to be answered. Does there really need to be a chosen one? Could anyone fulfill the prophecy? If the chosen one never arrived, was the prophecy even true in the first place? Did anything that the protagonist did matter?
