“The Amazing Digital Deltarune Chapter Rewritten Take” idea
in the midst of all these cool Jevil Spamton swap I’ve seen I completely forgot to post these on tumblr.
so Glitch productions on YouTube is making a show called The Amazing Digital Circus, created by Gooseworx, right? They recently released a trailer for it, and it’s already shaping up to be my dream show. So I’ve watched the trailer over 10 times at this point, And I had the idea for two amazing Spamton Jevil swap ideas, which combine a bunch of ideas I’ve wanted to use but never did, so here’s these two! I want to draw more of them really soo but you’re gonna have to wait a bit.
Also, the point of these designs is to KEEP the neo form for Spamton and keep Jevil with no neo. I haven’t seen any other swap take do that so I thought it’d be fun. That’s also why Gamedev’ has sans atributes.
Also no, this au doesn’t follow CR’s swap list. I’m actually imagining Noelle as Kris with Pomni (from The Amazing Digital Circus) atributes, and I’m not spoiling Berdly’s role.
Broke: Skies Forever Blue is related to Deltarune in some way because Toby Fox worked on the song.
Woke: Skies Forever Blue is a video game in the world of Omori. Sunny used to play this game before the recital incident. This is supported by the fact that the player (NOT the player character in the music video, but the person playing the game,) is shown to own a Gameboy-like game system (like Sunny does) and wear short-sleeve shirts (Which Sunny also does.) This is also supported by the fact that Omocat did work for the music video's visuals, and specifically chose to make the real world segments of the video in mostly black with white sketch lines, which is also the style she used for certain cutscenes in Omori.
I wasn't going to say anything. I totally wasn't. I was trying so hard NOT to look for connections. But I've watched the "Skies Forever Blue" video over and over, and listened to the song over and over, and something inside kept saying, "It's Deltarune, it's Deltarune, it's Deltarune!" And then Bread posted this and I decided it was time to say something.
For my part, I just kept thinking, "Well, it's about a relationship between a character and a player, that's just Toby's proven style, that's why you see a connection," but I knew all along Toby was hinting at something here, I could feel it.
Anyway, watching the video and looking at the website, I noticed a few things....
youtube
Vaguely resembles the DR logo.
Also, I know they're just music notes, but they look like the same kind of notes we see from Sweet Cap'n Cakes in Cyber Battle. That could just be coincidence- I mean, how many different ways can you draw notes in pixel art- but it's interesting.
Uh, why is "[shine on through]" in brackets??? And it's the only lyric in the captions that is in brackets.
Ok, ok, that's probably nothing. That is probably just YouTube closed captioning, which I believe is automatic. In the official lyrics in the description, there are no brackets. It's just that it's freaky to see in this situation. I'll go ahead and toss this one in the [damn garbage can].
BUT, the idea of a heart shining is somewhat reminiscent of the SOUL glowing.
99? Why does this remind me of Chara?
She grabs her throat like she's choking. Or... drowning?
They jumped in the water and it turned into sky? Or maybe "heaven"?
That's the video. Now let's look at the website. HalfBreadChaos covered most of it, but there's a few things I want to point out in the credits section:
Toby is the Annoying Dog. No big deal, right? I mean, that's pretty much just his avatar now.
Why doesn't he actually list his involvement in this project, tho?
Why would somebody choose Flowey for their icon? Especially if this isn't UT related? Wait... wait... wait, wait, wait... Nah, that's silly. Heh, just cuz there's a golden flower in Asgore's bell jar and suspicious-looking vines blocking the bunker door and vines and things in Spamton's basement... Nah, that doesn't mean...
