Week 12
Building Aavya Soaps – One Week at a Time
Hey everyone 👋🏽 Week 12 has been a mix of small wins and honest struggles. As always, here’s a transparent update on what’s moving forward and what’s hitting a few bumps.
✅ What’s Working
🔹 Local Event Planning – We’re actively prepping for upcoming community markets and local pop-ups. The idea of trial shops is coming to life, and the research into booth design, signage, and inventory planning is starting to feel real. It’s exciting to think about connecting with people in-person and getting their reactions in real-time.
🔹 Brand Story Clarity – The core values of Aavya Soaps — herbal, handcrafted, and healing — are becoming clearer as I work more on the content and visuals. It’s helping align everything from packaging design to our digital messaging.
❌ What’s Not Working
🔻 Online Visibility – SEO and social media traction still feel slow. Despite posting content and trying hashtags, the reach and engagement aren’t where I’d like them to be. There's a learning curve here, and I might need to seek outside help or try a new approach.
🔻 Product Consistency – Small inconsistencies in fragrance intensity or soap hardness are popping up in test batches. These might seem minor, but they matter — and I know they need fixing before launch.

Startup Reflections: What’s Working, What’s Not & What I’m Learning
Week 10 | Aavya Soaps
Hey everyone 👋🏽 This week, I wanted to take a pause and reflect on where I stand with Aavya Soaps — my little dream of creating handcrafted, herbal soaps that promote wellness, sustainability, and self-care. Here’s a deep-dive into what’s working, what’s not, and everything in between:
✅ What’s Working
We’re starting to plan trial shops at local events to get face-to-face with real customers. This feels like the right move — it brings community connection, real feedback, and a chance to let people experience the scents, textures, and story of Aavya Soaps up close. It’s exciting to take our brand from online mood board to real-world market stall.
❌ What’s Not Working (Yet)
The advertising and SEO optimization side has been a tough nut to crack. We know what our brand stands for, but getting it out to the right audience online feels like navigating a jungle. There’s a lot of noise, and standing out without a big budget is real. Also, getting our licensing number and official setup took more time and energy than expected — a reminder that the paperwork is just as important as the product.
📊 How I Feel About the Project
It feels real now — not just an idea anymore. It’s challenging and overwhelming at times, but also energizing. The hardest part is the uncertainty, but the joy of watching something grow from scratch? Totally worth it.
📚 What I’m Learning About Business
Running a business isn’t dipping your toes in — it’s diving into the ocean. And once you step in, there’s no turning back. It’s all or nothing — every decision matters, and half-efforts don’t cut it. I’m learning how layered this world is — operations, branding, sales, compliance, and marketing — it’s all connected.
🌱 What I’m Learning About Myself
This journey is teaching me to be more patient, more consistent, and less reactive. I used to want instant results, but I’m realizing that good things take time. Even slow growth is growth. And showing up for your dream — every day — is the real win.
Thanks for being part of this honest check-in. 💚 If you’re working on your own dream or startup, tell me — what’s your biggest lesson so far?

Where will i get the money?
My Current Game Plan:
Bootstrapping it — Using personal savings for the initial trial batch
Side hustle funding — Allocating some of my part-time earnings toward essentials
Small grants + contests — Exploring startup funding programs for student entrepreneurs and women-led ventures
Crowdfunding (maybe) — Thinking about launching a Kickstarter-style pre-order campaign
Friends & fam? — Still deciding if I want to pitch to my inner circle for early backing
Money will always be a big part of the journey — but I’m learning to see it not just as an obstacle, but as a tool. I may not have it all now, but I have a vision. And step by step, I’ll build it.
Thanks for being part of this ride! 💚 If you’ve bootstrapped your business or have creative funding ideas, I’d love to hear them. #AavyaSoaps #StartupStruggles #Week9Update #FundingMyDream #SmallBusinessJourney #Crowdfunding #HerbalSkincare #WhereWillIGetTheMoney #EcoStartup

Business Plan and Brand Cover
What started as a personal passion has now become a labor of love—creating soaps that are gentle, effective, and made with care.
For years, I’ve believed that skincare should be simple, nourishing, and free from unnecessary chemicals. That’s why every bar we make is carefully crafted with a blend of natural and skin-loving ingredients, ensuring a cleansing experience that feels as good as it looks.
Handmade in small batches, with a touch of artistry and a whole lot of care—because true beauty comes from how we treat ourselves, every day. We’re growing slowly but steadily through self-funding, keeping a close eye on our budget to ensure we’re always reinvesting into the business. Every bar is made in small batches, allowing us to offer the best quality while staying sustainable.
As we generate revenue, we’re excited to expand and welcome like-minded entrepreneurs to join us on this journey.
Join Us:
We’re more than just a soap company – we’re a community of people who care about what goes on their skin and how it affects the planet. Stay tuned for more as we expand and create more ways for you to enjoy our handcrafted products.

Creative Advertising Exercise
Here are three creative selling exercises designed specifically for Aavya Soaps to attract and engage customers effectively.
1. The “Scent Memory” Experience
Exercise:
Set up an interactive scent-testing station at a pop-up shop or event.
Ask customers to close their eyes and smell different Aavya soap variants (lavender, sandalwood, rose, etc.).
Prompt them to describe what the scent reminds them of—a memory, a feeling, or a place.
After they share, explain how Aavya’s handcrafted approach evokes nature and purity in every bar.
Results:
Creates an emotional connection between the customer and the product.
Enhances brand recall, as customers associate Aavya soaps with personal experiences.
Encourages impulse purchases based on emotional engagement.
2. “Your Skin, Your Ritual” Challenge
Exercise:
Offer a 7-day personalized skincare challenge where customers use one Aavya soap variant tailored to their skin type.
Provide a small reflection journal or a social media check-in prompt (e.g., “How does your skin feel today?”).
At the end of the challenge, ask them to share their experience through a review or a short video.
Results:
Builds habitual product use, leading to higher repeat purchases.
Generates authentic user testimonials that can be used for marketing.
Enhances customer trust through real, visible results.
3. “Soap Matchmaker” Quiz
Exercise:
Create an interactive quiz (online or in-store) where customers answer 5 simple questions about their skin type, fragrance preference, and skincare goals.
Based on responses, the quiz matches them with their ideal Aavya soap and explains why it suits them.
Offer a discount or free sample for completing the quiz to encourage a first-time purchase.
Results:
Personalizes the shopping experience, making customers feel valued.
Increases engagement and time spent on the brand’s website/social media.
Drives higher conversion rates by guiding customers to the right product.
These exercises are designed to increase customer interaction, emotional engagement, and brand loyalty while making Aavya Soaps stand out in the handcrafted soap market.

starting to explore the industry of aromatics gave me the idea of creating this page. This is a parent idea of me and my family trying to build a business on the basis of a very niche interest. This is the first sample of the logo that i have created for the Brand.
