i hear more and more about people publishing ai slop and "writing" "books" with ai and how people are just supicious of everyone nowadays. i want to retain my hope, i want to keep writing, i want to follow through with one of my only passions but the prospects look so bleak. what if i wanted to publish my works just to get them out there ?? why would anyone want to publish anything when everything's being taken over by the meat grinder? what when i can't look back at the people i idolize and wonder what they'd do because they never faced this specific problem that we are facing

My followers know I hate talking about politics and current events, and generally refuse to do so, but this is important.

A bill has been introduced in the US that would make all pornography a federal crime. Owning it. Creating it. Distributing it.

Under this law, fanart of nude characters would be a federal crime.

Under this law, depictions of homosexuality or simply being transgender, would be considered pornography and a federal crime.

This bill is not going to pass.

However, the reason for this bill is to continue to push the "overton window". The reason for this bill is to make banning pornography seem more and more normal to everyone until they can actually do that.

And remember, they consider depictions of gay characters and transgenders characters "pornography" in any context, including platonic.

They have been working on this for a decade now and it has been working.

If you are one of the people in fandom who thinks that "nasty" porn on AO3 should be banned because it's "icky" or "immoral", then this mental scam is working on you.

Censorship is never about protecting people.

Censorship is always about control.

Do not let the rising moral panic affect your mind and make you weak to propaganda that lets others control you and control what you watch and read.

My Journey to Escape the War in Gaza

My name is Abdelmajed. I never imagined I’d be sharing my story like this, but life in Gaza has become unbearable. I am a survivor of the war here, and in the blink of an eye, everything I once knew—my home, my safety, my community—was ripped away from me.

The war has transformed Gaza into a graveyard of broken dreams. The buildings that once stood as symbols of life and resilience are now piles of rubble. Every corner is filled with the echoes of explosions. Every moment is shrouded in uncertainty. There is no security. There is no stability. There is no light at the end of the tunnel.

Basic needs have become luxuries. Food is scarce. Clean water is even scarcer. Hospitals are overwhelmed and under-resourced, and there is almost no medical care to be found. Every night, families go to bed hungry, praying they’ll wake up to see another day. The cost of basic necessities has skyrocketed, and it’s become a daily battle just to survive.

I’ve seen things I never thought possible—standing in long lines for a piece of bread, rationing every drop of water, and watching my people suffer in silence. I have lost everything—my home, my safety, my dignity.

Escape from Gaza is my only hope, but it’s almost impossible without financial help. The cost of evacuation is far beyond my means, and without support, I’m trapped in a warzone with no way out.

I’m reaching out to you now, in the hopes that someone, anyone, can help. I am not asking for luxury. I am asking for a chance—just a chance—to live. A chance to escape this never-ending cycle of fear, destruction, and loss. A chance to rebuild my life somewhere safe, where I can begin again, where I can find hope once more.

random things that tick me off (most of which for no good reason, some valid) because i am a teenager

- being spoken to condescendingly (this one is valid i feel)

- being herded, rounded up, or otherwise directed in a group like a herd of cows (FUCK YOU!!!) and the only reason i say 'herd of cows' is because the people herding speak to the group that way

- when someone says the word 'greasy' but pronounces it like 'greezy' please why is there no emphasis on the 's'

- when anyone mentions my allergies please can we talk about anything else

- when said allergies come up in conversation and my grandmother says "you could DIE" but it's the most basic allergies known to man i just have a lot of them??

- for that matter, when me dying comes up at all. i will not be made a poor, poor victim to many things including death

when i'm sleeping and wake up and my body starts lagging. im still tired and have time to go back to sleep but i may wanna adjust a little but oh no i feel so sluggish and can't move!!! so i move my head with much struggle and break out of it but im so tired so i wanna go back to sleep but then i cant move again and i do it like 4 or 5 times before falling asleep again 💔 devs please patch this
