OBX3 Spoilers!!

It's the fact that JJ has been rejecting Kiara’s feelings towards him all season long and then by the end of the season, he’s able to say I love you to her, it gets me yk. Let me tell you why.

JJ never really denies his feelings toward Kiara. In fact, he basically confirms them w/ Pope and Kie saying “something happened on the boat”. But it’s not when after he’s rescued her for the second time (she kinda rescued herself the first time actually) that he can say I love you to her. 

I said it before and I’ll say it again: JJ and Kiara didn’t really realize their feelings changed (or at least it was mutual) until they were on the boat and Pope walked in. Even though this was after the soul-crushing hug/reunion, this “moment” that wakes them from AU on Pougelandia is on the boat.  But after that, he keeps denying Kie’s feelings towards him, EVEN WHEN SHE SAYS I LOVE YOU FOR THE FIRST TIME. When he finally says it, it’s because he finally proved to himself that he’s worthy of her love. 

Heck! When John B gave him that smirk when JJ told him “i owe her”, he knew!! He knew that JJ loved Kiara so much but couldn’t say it out loud. He couldn’t say it out loud until JJ proved to himself that he could take care of her. rescue her, and her knight and shining armor. And I think that is so beautiful.

OBX Spoilers Season 3 !!!

Yk what I just realized??

Jiara keeps referencing the boat moment as if it changed everything between them. Like that little moment that Pope caught them in was the moment that changed everything. Now I might be reading too much into it but here me out!!

I don’t think it really has anything to do with Pope. Maybe does but I think it has to do more with the fact they were off the island.

I kept thinking to myself, like no way after an entire month of spending time on the island with Pope seeing them sleeping next to each other every night, that they finally had a “moment”.

Then I realized it wasn’t like that. They probably had many moments before that, that were very similar to the boat one. But both JJ and Kiara kinda just brushed it off because Poguelandia was almost like an alternate reality to them. It wasn’t real. It was more like a dream.

I mean they were so unhappy when they got off that island !! Replay it back and you’ll see. Like you can see how hesitant they were to get off the island. Because the moment they step off the island, it’s back to Pogue vs Kooks, horrible/manipulative/abusive parents, and just more problems all together. They come back to reality.

So back to the boat moment, Pope definitely helped make it more real to them like “whoa what are we doing” type thing. But being off the island helped so much too.

But that begs the question, what unseen moments are we missing? Almost kisses? Lingering glances? Some flirty smiles? Lingering touches??

My two cents about the new hsmtmts episode (mostly about rina and rini)

I’ve always wanted what Ricky wants. Whether it was if he was happy with Nini or Gina, I didn’t care that much. I did support him and Nini Bc that’s what he seemed like he wanted. I wanted Nini and him to work out so bad.

Then the first episode of season 2 happened and I was hurt. I didn’t want any love triangle anymore. Love triangles are so overrated when it’s used too much. Like in my opinion, it should span over one season. So with Gina still having obvious feelings for Ricky, I was very disappointed Bc I knew that they would be writing up the triangle again.

Here’s the real kicker tho, Ricky didn’t seem to reciprocate any feelings again in the second season until this Valentines episode. The scene where Nini calls him and he shushes Gina... It broke my heart.

Bc now we got Ricky emotionally cheating on Nini. He didn’t tell Nini that he was with Gina Bc he knew that Nini would feel upset. That would probably cause him or her to make the decision that Ricky shouldn’t talk to Gina anymore. He wants Gina in his life.

So now I’m in at a place where I’m doing my best not to judge him Bc he’s been through a lot lately. But it doesn’t cut in. Not only does Nini deserve better but Gina does too. And whole affair like scene where they get the text at the same time 🤦‍♀️ makes it even worse. I don’t want to dislike Ricky but now with this, I can’t process it.

The only way I will be okay with this entire thing is if one of them leaves the triangle. (And tbh it might Nini.) Bc Olivia is getting really famous right now and it could super easy to just write her off the show. (Even tho there are hints that she will come back Bc she isn’t happy in yac). Another way could be Nini or Gina finding someone else to like or if just Ricky just took time to himself.

Rn Rina seems more of the endgame ship now (I will admit it even tho I’m more of a rini fan) and I will be okay with that. But I can’t get on board if they are discrediting Ricky’s character like making him emotionally cheat. It’s not fair to either of the girls.

1. Favorite Album: La Vida Es Un Sueño

- like duh. I will go to my grave and say that. Season 2 may have been the worse season over all, but the music slapsssss

2. Favorite Season: season 3

- I’ve stated this multiple times that even tho it was under develop in some ways, it had the best drama lol

3. Favorite Canon Ship: Lutteo

- I’m biased ok? Loved ruggero since I was like 13 lol and I just fell in love with Matteo and his character development. And Luna Valente? The cutest bean ever? The drama was unnecessary between them but that’s the writers fault and not theirs :)

4. Favorite Non-Canon Ship: Jim and Yam

- TECHNICALLY they are non-canon but they are canon in my brain

5. Favorite Friendship: Matteo and Gaston

- No friendship ever came close to theirs. This is facts.

6. Favorite Roller skates: Punk Ambar’s black and purple skates

- they were so fire and every time I saw them, I wanted a pair

7. Favorite Luna Outfit: The intercontinental competition outfit in 1x80 (blue dress)

- it always reminds me of the nostalgia I get when watching season 1

8. Favorite Ambar Outfit: the short white nightgown she wears in 3x56

- the makeup, the pink highlights with her blonde hair, literally everything is perfection

9. Favorite open: the Flash open

- outfits were spot on, vocals were amazing and Simbar kiss. Enough said

10. Fab and chic or FelicityForNow: FelicityForNow

- Duh. The whole reason Gastina kicked off in the first place

11. Tamara or Juliana: Juliana

- loved Tamara but Juliana’s was the roller’s mom (especially too Matteo lol) plus she was a lutteo and simbar shipper

12. Sofia Carson Cameo or Sabrina Carpenter Cameo: neither

- Tini’s cameo thank you very much :)

13. Favorite Group Competition Skate:

- Ooh the 1x80 one with Alas, has no competition there

14. Favorite Duo Competition Skate: Lutteo’ sun 1x40

- again I’m probably biased, but they had the best chemistry

- I can’t choose between the two but technically vuelvo is sung by the whole cast so

- Cato was annoying

- are we talking about how she was at the end of season 3 or season 1? Bc still pure, she was a queen no matter what tho

- duh part 3. I always cry every time karol performs it

23. Simbar or Lutteo: Lutteo

- biased part 3. I just love my babies so much 🥺

24. Favorite kiss of the show: Lutteo rain kiss

- biased part 4. (But simbar first kiss is a close second)

Can’t believe it tbh. Ik its hasnt been long since i started watching the first episode but watching each character grow in a span of three years makes you feel like you’re growing up with them all over again. 

I will never forget the night that I discovered this show. I was up late, watching youtube clips of Violetta on my phone. More specifically, I was looking at Federico (Ruggero’s character ofc) and Ludmila clips because I loved Ruggero so much. All of sudden, a clip of Matteo’s and Luna’s first kiss (and the performance before it) appeared on my feed. I watched it and was immediately invested. I started watching Lutteo clips from the first episode. Then started watching the entire show. I even found out somehow that the second part of the first season was only a month away from airing so it was still a brand new show.

I fell in love with each character and each storyline. But at the core of the show, it was the relationship between Luna and Matteo. 

It was the way that you can see the chemistry from the start. I could almost predict everything from just watching the first meeting clip alone. You knew that Matteo loved Luna from the moment he laid eyes on her. And with Luna, you knew that she loved him back when Matteo saved her life from drowning. These two grew up with each other in just three years. After all the flirting, the teasing, the tears, the heartbreaks, the misunderstandings, the fights, the yelling, the laughs, the heart eyes, the kisses, the hugs, the dances, the smirks, and conversations, in the end they made it. 

Lets not count out these two alright? 

Simbar was the ship that the fans wanted from the start. Barely anyone wanted Matteo and Ambar together. And Lutteo fans wanted Simon happy with someone. So they wanted Ambar to be the one who can make him happy. 

You can tell that the writers added a few moments between them in the first season to use as a foundation, to see if fans would truly root for them. And we did. If Lutteo isn’t the most popular couple on the series, than it must be Simbar.

They too at had amazing chemistry. They were both patient and honest with each other. They were all about letting the person in on what you’re feeling. That is a relationship. Cant have a relationship if there is no trust. 

And lets not forget the best storyline of them all. Luna’s backstory. 

Every twist and turn of this storyline was done well. You can tell that the writers put a lot of thought into it. And finding out that Luna is Sol and Sol is Luna just makes sense. 

I loved that Luna finding out her past never got in the way of her dreams and future plans. She just needed to know where she was from to finally understand herself. She needed to know who she was

The writers and creators of this show should be so proud of their achievement. This is show truly is a gem and has something special about it. Its still their most successful telenovela out of the three that they made. 

As for the third season?

My rating: 10/10

This season probably had the best acting, the best character arcs and much more. There are few missed opportunities that I wished we could have had if we had the usual 80 episodes instead of 60 (ex: lutteo performing quedate together and nina having a single lady storyline instead of forcing eric with her) but with what they were given, they did the best they could. And they did amazingly. 

Im gonna miss this show and its characters. Im gonna miss ranting about it to nobody who reads these things on tumblr. Ik im acting like im never gonna watch the show again, but look. I watched this show entirely when I was 13. Now, Im turning 18 in less than 3 months. So who knows when I’ll binge watch the entire thing again. One thing Ik for sure, this show will always have a special place in my hearts. Its one of a kind. 

Ik the cast had a lot of drama behind the scenes that made this show unlikable and unwatchable for some people. But the truth is, you have separate reality from fiction. And thats what im choosing to do here.

Thank you cast and crew for making this show. I will never forget it. (Ik im being dramatic but just let me be ok? lol)
