The Time I was Photographed 'by' the WWE
That’s me!
You're probably wondering how I got here...
Let's go back to the beginning.1984. I was introduced to pro wrestling by my father. And I've been in that relationship ever since. Fast forward to 2023 in which I'm an adult, who earns an income and one who treats herself all while working towards professional and personal goals.
WWE Smackdown was held at Barclays Center on December 1, 2023. I grabbed a pair of budget-friendly tickets, excitedly texted a friend if they wanted to go with me and away we went.
Randy Orton making his return to Smackdown was a big deal but when I saw this photo of me with one of my favorite WWE Superstars, Kevin Owen used on Ups and Downs (thanks, Simon Miller), I knew I had (almost) made it.
A photographer photographed at an event she wants to officially photograph. I’m one step closer…
WWE returned to New York for its annual December 26 show at Madison Square Garden. I brought my camera and the approved lens and captured a few moments. Here are a few of my favorites:

I'm a Street Photographer Too
I'm pleased to announce that for the first time, I am one of 51 photographers from 18 countries that are a part of the Women Street Photographers latest Virtual Exhibit. The exhibit is curated by Women Street Photographer founder Gulnara Samoilova and Guest Juror Kiran Karnani.
I am a photographer of people and sometimes that overlaps with street photography. The image that was selected for this exhibit, titled "Reflecting" was created as part of my Naturally Undone series (for an exhibit that never happened when the curator/organizer ghosted).
"What I saw when I took this photo is the familiar far-away gaze many NY commuters are sometimes lucky to have; for a few moments we can forget the day or replay moments. This wasn't a moment of being in a rush to get anywhere. The bright colors of the woman's hair and shirt and the repeating elements in her reflection are what drew me to this moment."
Happy that this work still has life! The Virtual Exhibit is up from December 10, 2023 to February 4, 2024.

Respect artist gotdamnit.
1. Stop putting bad filters on artist work.
2. Tag the fucking artist, if you don’t know who’s who work it is say “work is not mine, or artist unknown.
3. If you ask for a drawing expect to pay.
4. If you can’t afford them don’t try to make a deal. Just leave it alone.
5. This is the artist livelihood. The same way you clock in for work…their work should be treated the same. It keeps the lights on.
6. Constructive criticism and criticism are two different things.
7. The same way you have “the right” to comment on an artist work, they have a right to defend.
8. Just because you’re willing to pay doesn’t mean the artist has to take the job. There are different artist for different things not all of us do logos.
9. Respect the hustle.
10. Respect the art.
