The others strings were so messy in their natural state, even the Great Scryer had trouble reading them from time to time. Now, with Hermaeus Mora unable to directly figure out who to pinpoint directly.... or how many it was. Just that it lay WITHIN THEIR COLLECTIVE GROUP (NOT A DIFFICULT CONCLUSION EVEN IF FULLY IN THE DARK // NONE HAD SUCH CAPABILITIES BEYOND THOSE OF... SIMILAR POWER).   “&– - Your visitation was not discussed. I would've remembered... some would consider this trespassing. I am not excluding myself in that. I assume you have good reason... or as good a reason as you can ever provide.” The Lord of Fate does not DIRECTLY SPEAK ITS MIND-- - does not question or pester or INTERROGATE. Also realizing Mora using Scruut the Watchling as a mouthpiece / vessel temporarily to talk to player and the implications he does this for other Daedra of his gives me free reign to just give him a Watcher / Seeker vessel for ease of certain interactions

Hermaeus Mora does hold true to promises and deals he makes, at least in the basic level. Where it becomes a problem and untrustworthy is how they will follow it to the most basic letter- giving half-truths, intentionally omitting information that would be necessary, or honeying words sometimes to make things appealing. All of course in the realm of what benefits HIM the best.

If you trade something with Mora, they are not going to suddenly not uphold their end of the deal. He will give you what is requested- but he will not tell you how that requested information / item / etc will twist or break you, or if it results in deaths or plagues. It's not his job to hold a mortals hand to an optimal conclusion- the only one who truly needs that optimal conclusion is Hermaeus Mora himself.

They may be deceptively more subtler than a lot of Princes whose malice is worn on the sleeve, but he still is a Daedric Prince. And one who from various faiths was revered as a trickster spirit, not just the One Who Knows. The ultimate thing Mora feasts for is knowledge, but it does gain some degree of pleasure from mortal plights and toying, within what's reasonable for their own benefits.
