AoT x Zoids (Part 1)
ft. Eren, Mikasa, Armin
No one asked but I'm posting it anyways because it would be cute. For the most part it's just "who has what and why" and some other stuff to kind of give reasons as to why a characters has a particular Zoid. Some of these hcs are pretty funny though too. They're really meant to be a little bit more silly than the usual. Also because Zoids and AoT are my fav things (I plan to customize some Zoids models to look like everyone's Zoids in the future but that is one VERY expensive hobby, but I'm 1000% going to do it.)
I love these characters to death. They're all precious. Of course this is all heavily based in/around NC0 as a setting. Doing all of these in batches because there's a LOT of them.
Eren Yeager
Command Wolf
Starts with a Command Wolf because it was all he could afford and he's kind of impatient.
Proceeds to never get anything else because he refuses to ever replace his Command Wolf. (He will absolutely fight you about this if you even try to suggest his Command Wolf isn't as useful as he believes it is.)
No seriously he ends up way too attached.
Fights competitively with Mikasa usually saving his ass, but because his Zoid is also 110% appreciative of the fact that Eren cares (and is willing to fight for it) it's willing to fight just that much harder, so Eren isn't 100% useless. In fact, on more than one occasion his Command Wolf has outright stopped listening to him and allowed him to score a kill or two when Eren was in a tough spot. Over time though, Eren does improve to the point of being able to hold his own in a one-on-one. 2v1 though he's usually a bit (see: very) outmatched. Boy gets some srs tunnel vision.
Eren and Mikasa fight as a duo, even though there are strict regulations in place Armin doesn't feel 100% okay with competitive battles. No, He prefers to sit back and read about Zoids and strategies more than actually actively fight. More on this later.
Mikasa Ackerman
Helcat
She gets ahold of a Helcat after actually thinking about it (Eren doesn't take very long to decide on a Command Wolf, but Mikasa is more considerate. It takes her longer to decide on a Helcat as her ideal Zoid, at least to start with.)
She and her Helcat are one hell of a problem.
Saves Eren's ass because he gets tunnel vision real bad sometimes.
Abuses Helcat's stealth capabilities, so she usually comes in clutch in most battles especially because Eren makes himself such an easy target.
Do Not the Helcat. Mikasa actually is attached to her Helcat. She won't replace it or upgrade.
Mikasa is kind of one of the first people who actually start talking to their Zoid because she realizes it listens. She won't say anything about it to anyone else, because she worries it's weird, but like.
This Helcat is her friend and not just a machine. Again; Do Not the Helcat.
It actively acknowledges her if she's standing near it.
She eventually upgrades to a Lightning Saix when her Helcat is too badly damaged to affordably repair.
Similarly to Irvine's transition from his Command Wolf to his Lightning Saix, her Lightning Saix adopts the mannerisms and quirks of her Helcat, due to the strength of her bond with it.
Armin Arlert
Nightwise
Got really lucky to find a Nightwise.
Kind of thinks his Nightwise is cute tbh.
Probably one of the first people to give their Zoids a personal name.
Is not really a confident fighter when it comes to battles, but can if he has to. He's more worried about like. Accidentally hurting people (and Zoids) unnecessarily (especially once he realizes Zoids are living things then he's definitely less okay with it.) While he has a Nightwise for support and can pilot it, he's a lot more like Jamie and his Raynos/Pteras. Not useless, but cares too much about unnecessary damage (also, Zoid repairs and maintenance can be expensive.)
Terrified of unsanctioned battles.
Reads a lot about Zoids
This boy is literally a walking encyclopedia. But that's not a bad thing, you'd have to roll up with a really weird loadout or some really strange weapons to surprise Armin.
CPGs terrify him (rightfully so.)
Very familiar with the ZBC's battle modes and regulations.
Very familiar with weapons and Zoid types.
Follows other teams' progress, ranks, what Zoids they use, definitely the team strategist 100%.
If he ever met Jamie they'd totally get along.
