Heart’s self portrait ❤️

If my heart could paint a self portrait the lessons would decorate the canvas in colors of agape love and recklessness, passion, heartless cold heartbreak, murky and muddy lessons , discoveries and vibrant color splashes of victories.

My heart would paint the colors of serenity and curious wonders. I imagine my heart to be an art gallery where every experience is imprinted with a significant stroke of brush and mixing of colors.

Some pieces muddy and complex gritty and disturbing but still so intriguing you wouldn’t be able to turn away if you could. I’ll let you in on a little secret about the muse of this artist the light within them captivates the souls of their audience although it seems to been hidden underneath the mud and all the mess.

You attract what you are and you create what you think about. Act like the person you want to become. Think like the person you want to become. Nothing changes in your life unless you make the decision and commitment to change it. Hold an image in your mind of how you wish to see yourself living. Visualize it everyday and you will unconsciously start to do things that will move you towards that goal.

notice how “girls mature faster” is never stated as a reason why girls should be given more positions of power and authority? It only works to hold girls to greater accountability than boys and to justify men’s attraction to them.

You've got to love the little steps it takes to recover and heal yourself. Every little thing you do to make your life a little better, is a victory. You're going to get there.

Love is such a high frequency and when it meets another it’s a reaction felt through the universe.

You see, love has to be met within self before it’s met with another to be truly undeniable at least that’s my experience.

I love you! But it has come to my attention that you don’t know how to love with your full heart only your external entity.

Is it because the world you were born into takes every chance to hurt you so you take your punishment out on the one who brought you into this universe?

Why are we at war? Can’t you see that you have become the mere rare gem of our society and culture. Does that pressure scare you? Is it too much to bare?

Look I’m just trying to understand why you won’t allow the discovery of the beauty that lies within you. I’ve had the pleasure of seeing once before what you try and guard that place is life itself.

Understand beautiful black king you can have the world kneel at your feet and conquer any kingdom you seek. All I ask is can I help without the risk of pieces subtracting from me? We can build so much together to outweigh what’s been devoured! Whats a powerful mighty King without a Queen to nurture and affirm him?

Thoughts from last night

Maybe what you hold on to is more comforting than the alternative... an abyss emptiness.

Maybe your past thoughts keep you connected to what could one day be again but better.

Maybe the thought of letting the pain go is the key to a new venture.

Maybe the risk outweighs the possibility.

Maybe it wasn’t so bad...

Then, my eyes opened, the thoughts stopped but I still couldn’t tell which one was worse my reality or the thoughts that I fell short of turning my maybes into my reality.
