Immortal Sins D0.42 Update 4 released!
A bit of a behind the scenes updates this time around. One of the biggest issues I had to deal was the caching system. While it worked quite well, there were times where the engine would just free up resources at the worst time. That would result in a crash, or the map being unloaded. An excessively big headache if you ask me. So, I decided to throw the current caching system out and replace it with a vastly better version. This time, it's dynamic. It builds up knowledge as you keep playing. While there are a few teething issues (Crystal Cave flickers a bit when you use the fireplaces), but I am working on smoothing it out.
In addition, I've also rolled up some fixes for high refresh rates. While the game handled these well enough, there were areas where it was "render at max speed, who cares that it needs timing?". This update should improve the update logic proper.
Overhauled the caching system.
Caching is now fully dynamic. As you keep playing the game, it will start building the cache.
It should now stop the engine from unloading resources too early (sometimes resulting in the map being unloaded).
[Windows] The option to reset the cache is added to the Starboard’s Utilities menu.
Improvements for users with high refresh rates.
Certain animations should now play at the proper speed.
Improved the utilization of the CPU in higher refresh rates.
[Windows] Improvements to memory usage on the launcher.
Rolled up dependency updates for better stability and performance.

Immortal Sins D0.42 Update 3 released!
[Windows] Quick Launch and Quick Load return!
Quick Load activates with the --qload command line argument (or a checkbox in the main window). If a save file is present, it will be loaded automaticallt (or the latest one, if more of them are present).
Quick Launch (default mode in the itch.io app) activates with the --qlaunch command line argument. The game will launch immediately once the self-test and cache updates are done.
Quick Load will be available for Linux users at a later update.
Updated to the Halva 2 system.
Updated dependencies for better performance and stability.
Also fixes an issue, where a red rectangle would appear on the system tray.
[Windows] Rolled back to .NET 8, as the Automatic Error Report (if it's turned on) would break the app.

RPG Maker Cook Tool Deluxe R5.10 Update 1 released!
Updated to the RTM version of .NET 9, bringing stability improvements. Updated dependencies to improve performance and stability. Fixed an error, where under certain cases, packing would fail due to wrong path handling. Download here.

Immortal Sins D0.42 Update 2 released
A slightly more substantial update, D0.42 Update 2 addresses some of the issues that were brought over from recent feedback. There's still work to be done (mainly since I'm busy with "that" project and Cook Tool Deluxe), but it should bring over a few quality-of-life improvements.
Changelog:
Overhauled the notification system for missions, items received, etc.
This should go much faster than the previous one.
Updated dependencies, to improve performance and stability.
Adjusted the behaviour of the enemies when the player escapes a battle. They should now be passable, regardless of if they were the ones that triggered the battle or not.
Also fixes the issue where some enemies in some dungeons would block the player's path.
Fixed the following issues:
The fireplaces in Celtia Castle shouldn't change when you interact with them.
The game may hang around and not close properly.
Added code to prevent the launcher from launching if the game is already running.

Immortal Sins D0.42 Update 1 released!
This update brings some technical improvements.
Game
A screenshot option has been added for the feedback widget.
Makes it easier to diagnose issues.
Minor improvements to the auto-save.
Updated renderer to 0.90.0, bringing performance and stability improvements.
Fixed a bug, where the Ctrl+Shift+F hotkey for the feedback widget didn't work.
Fixed some crashes.
Fixed an error, where the old crash screen would appear.
Starboard
The game master and launcher are now merged.
Having separate executables are no longer necessary. Starboard takes over the duties of the Game Master from now on.
This also results in a minor size reduction (about 10MB).
Size and performance improvements.
Starboard with take advantage of Windows.UI.Composition (if available. Will fall back to DirectComposition if not). Brings improvements for users with high refresh rate displays.
Technical improvements, in preparation for bringing over Starboard to Linux (Linux builds currently use the Pico Launcher.
Linux
Merged Game Master to the Pico Launcher, reducing the game size.
Fixed some issues that occur when the game closes.

Implemented a workaround so the particles can render.
Fixed a bug, where importing saves wouldn't show the Play button after completing the task.

Immortal Sins D0.42 released!
It's been a while since the last update. There was quite a lot stuff to take care of (both for the game and in real life). Much like the previous update, it brings small but substantial updates to the game. This time around, it's engine upgrades and a refresh of the battle UI. Engine wise, I slip-streamed some technical updates (which, sadly, also broke the saves), but should improve the stability of the game. In addition, the launcher got an overhaul. The launcher is now compiled with NativeAOT, which means far faster launch times and better memory usage. The last thing is the introduction of a new feedback system: Pressing Ctrl-Shift-F will bring up a new feedback widget. This should make it easier to send in feedback.
As for the stuff I was working on: I can't say much at the moment (yet). But I can say this: It has morphed into a different thing that I wasn't planning. Once it's ready, I'll let you know.
