Also can I just say. Some people really need to get it through their dumb thick skulls that racial minorities who immigrated to mostly white countries are going to have perspectives and opinions on things that the folks in their countries of origin might not. Like the morons on my yellowface post who were like "um well Japanese people in Japan don't care, it's always the Japanese americans who say shit about it" like yeah? Obviously? Asian folks living in a country where they're the racial majority are far less likely to be subjected to the same kind of racism/propaganda/caricatures etc. that Asian people in mostly white countries are. the idea that restrooms, locker rooms, etc need to be single-sex spaces in order for women to be safe is patriarchy's way of signalling to men & boys that society doesn't expect them to behave themselves around women. it is directly antifeminist. it would be antifeminist even if trans people did not exist. a feminist society would demand that women should be safe in all spaces even when there are men there.
