Thatch woke you up early to get you working with him in the kitchen for breakfast, you couldn't really focus on anything after last night. Why would he do that? You felt sharp pain in your hand which brought you back to reality, you hissed from the pain seeing you cut yourself while cutting the vegetables "the bandages are there" Thatch pointed at the drawer next to you to which you thanked him, you felt stupid, instead of helping him you're only giving him more trouble. "Something's on your mind y/n? You're really distracted today" he asked cutting vegetables as you put the bandage on your finger "huh, no nothing's wrong. Don't worry" you laughed it off as he sighed putting away the knife to look at you "if you're gonna be so distracted all the time I can't have you here, I don't want you to hurt yourself more than you already did. And you know you can tell me, I won't judge" he said crossing his arms. You thought for a second, it would hurt to tell someone... "Promise me you won't tell anyone" "if it's something that could be a danger to you I will, but if it's not I promise not to" he reassured, "well, let's say... hypothetically Ace almost kissed me last night when he thought I was asleep" you spoke fast watching Thatch's expression turn from worry to straight up laughing his ass off "that rascal already did his move! Damnit Marco won the bet!" He laughed as you had a confusion written all over your face. "But is that a problem to you y/n, you seem pretty upset about it?" He asked calming down a bit, you bit you lip "I just don't know why he did that, so I don't know how to feel about it that's what's bothering me..." You said as Thatch tried his best not to laugh at your obliviousness "why not ask him?" he suggested "it's embarrassing.." "then how about you wait? Maybe he'll do it again and you could catch him in his act. It'll get him more embarrassed than you, wouldn't it?" he gave you another idea "that could work.." you thought again, he's not wrong about that part.. But you don't know when you'll see him again, he also has his duties, and after taking care of you for so long he surely had a lot to do. "Alright, enough chit chat, let's finish making the breakfast before everyone gets here" Thatch said to which you nodded.

Ace woke up feeling like something's missing, he tried to find you with his hand but when he couldn't find you he opened his eyes and sat up. "Where did she go?" he was confused, you were here last night, he's sure of it. He thought a little longer trying to wake up "oh right, she's starting to help Thatch from today, I forgot.." it felt lonely to wake up alone he already got used to sleeping with you. Ace was pretty tired not being able to fall asleep last night, well he did it to himself. He shouldn't have kissed you, even if it wasn't on your lips it was without your consent. What was he thinking? After he washed his face he got up for breakfast joining Izo, Marco and the others. Marco immediately noticed his mood being down which was quite unusual for Ace, he sighed "what's wrong Ace, and don't even try to lie, it's way too obvious something's up" Marco spoke to which Izo nodded making Ace groan "I don't know, it just feels weird eating without y/n.." he said making both Marco and Izo exchange looks. "is that really all?" Izo asked feeling like there's something more to the frown on his face "well.. I did kiss her yesterday when she was asleep and I feel shitty for it" he whispered looking away trying to hide his blush. Marco covered his face from disappoinment as Izo started laughing making Ace more embarrassed "stop laughing!" He hissed at Izo, he tried his best to stop laughing. "You really are an idiot" Marco was disappointed, he thought Ace was smarter than this. "Well, the paperwork will help you forget about that. You have a lot to do after your small break" Marco said making Ace groan in agony. He was hoping Marco would let him off the hook this time but it seems he planned it all out for him already.

You were hoping to join the others for breakfast but Thatch needed your help to clean the kitchen so you ended up finishing cleaning after everyone ate already. You ate breakfast with Thatch and you both started to work on making the lunch after a short break. You had to make tons of food so you had to start preparing the ingredients already. You were feeling a little bit cold but you didn't want to bother so you went on to help with the food. You needed to get used to not being around Ace as much anyway, you were able to earlier so you shouldn't get used to it so much out of nowhere. While you were busy helping Thatch, Ace was being tortured by Marco with the paperwork "Don't even try to escape the work, I'll make you do it sooner or later. Remember, if you do it now you won't have to do it later" he said seeing Ace look around for an escape route for himself. Ace sighed in defeat, he knew very well what the other commander was capable of doing.

"You can join them to eat lunch, I'll take care of things in the kitchen" Thatch said making you beam with happiness "Really?! Thank you so much Thatch!" You hugged him as you ran off to join the others making him chuckle slightly at your energy. "Oh, y/n you're not helping Thatch in the kitchen?" You heard Izo ask as he saw you run towards the table he sat at "oh no, he let me go join you guys.. but it seems the others finished eating" you said with a sad tone as you sat next to him, you were kinda disappointed not seeing Ace the whole day "They just didn't come yet, I've heard they have a lot of paperwork to do and Marco is probably keeping an eye on Ace so he will actually do it" Izo chuckled while chewing on the food "by the way, today's breakfast was delicious, same with the lunch. Everyone enjoyed it a lot" he complemented "thank you, though I did make few mistakes today, if Thatch didn't keep an eye on me it probably wouldn't end up as delicious as it did" you cringed at yourself remembering your clumsiness this morning "don't worry about it, it's your first day. Plus it ended up tasting good so there's no need to worry is there?" Izo smiled warmly at you as you nodded joining him to eat the meal. It was silent between you two for a minute until you struck up a conversation again "when do you think Ace would be finished?" You asked trying not to be too obvious you missed him. "Well, I think he should be done around dinner. If you miss him you know you can just ask, he would take a break surely. Especially knowing what your condition is, Marco shouldn't have anything against it" he knew you missed him, well who wouldn't miss a crazy ball of freckles like Ace. "No, no I wouldn't want to disturb him, he has to focus on his work. I wouldn't only distract him.." you said making Izo sigh in defeat. You both didn't want to bother each other it seems "don't you feel cold though?" He asked a bit worried, you haven't been separated for so long throughout those few days at any point. "Only a little bit but I'll survive, I need to get used to it anyway" you replied "you do got a point, but remember to come get him if it gets too cold. We don't want you passing out again" "I will, don't worry" you reassured. As you finished eating both of you have parted your ways after enjoying the meal with a good company.

You saw Thatch washing the dishes while humming a song so you walked up to him and tapped him on the shoulder to get his attention "go eat Thatch, I can clean the rest" you told him as he nodded thankful for your help "I'm sorry for so much trouble y/n, today the others are on a break so we had a lot to do today considering it was just the two of us.. Could you prepare the meat for the dinner? After that you can be free for the day" he asked walking out of the kitchen "Sure, no problem!" You started cleaning the kitchen, after some time you felt a cold chill go through your body making you stop your actions for a second but you decided to ignore it for now and just finish your work so you could relax after a long day.

You went to the bed you shared with Ace feeling cold and tired. You didn't have the power to do anything so you went under the covers, your body felt heavy and cold. You hoped the covers would help at least a bit but they didn't, after some time you just fell asleep feeling completely exhausted. Meanwhile Ace was still being forced to do the paperwork with having only two breaks so far just to eat the food. "Can't I just do it tommorow?" Ace whined for the millionth time pushing Marco to his limits of patience "I told you already, if you do it today you won't have to do it tommorow" he said through gritted teeth making Ace groan "I know that, I just want to get over with it already" " then do it instead of whining" Marco said coldly ending the discussion letting Ace know that he annoyed him to the point if he whines again he won't come out of this room in one piece. He sighed once again going back to the work, completely giving up on talking it out with Marco.

Few hours have passed and the sun started to go down, Ace finally finished his work and with Marco they decided to join the others for dinner, they saw Izo on their way who said he's gonna go eat in the kitchen to keep you and Thatch some company. Ace and Marco decided to join Izo knowing they finally had the time to relax after all the work. But when they went into the kitchen they saw only Thatch cleaning up after himself. "Where's y/n?" Ace asked making Thatch turn around and look at him "I believe she's in your room, I let her go when she finished cleaning the kitchen after lunch. She's probably gonna come here soon for dinner" he said "I see.." Ace looked away in thought. Are you avoiding him? Did something happen or is he just overthinking it? "Stop thinking and eat" Marco said seeing Ace deep in thought "too much thinking in one day might be too much for you" he joked making everyone laugh and Ace pout at the comment. Some time have passed and they almost finished eating but there was still no sign of you anywhere "she did say she started feeling cold earlier.." Izo said getting Ace's attention immediately "why didn't you say so earlier?!" He yelled filled with worry "she promised me that if it gets worse she'll come to you" he explained trying to keep his cool starting to worry too, what if you passed out? Ace stood up without finishing his food and ran to his room "Ace!" Marco yelled but he couldn't hear him anymore. All he cared about right now was you.

He opened the door to his room only to see you under the covers trembling from cold. He ran up to you and grabbed your hand, cold just like the night he found you "Ace?" You said weekly feeling immediate warmth coming from him "I'm here, I'm sorry I didn't come earlier I'm so stupid.." he felt so much anger towards himself, how could he let this happen? If it was a bit later who knows what could've happen to you. "I'm cold Ace.." you whispered feeling your lips tremble "It's ok, I got you" he pulled the covers but you stopped his movements as you put your hand on his cheek. He blushed not seeing that coming, your hand was cold as ice but be could feel it get slightly warmer as you kept it on his cheek "y/n?" he asked, why did you stop him, didn't you want him to hug you? "I know a way to get warmer faster than that" you slowly spoke to which Ace raised an eyebrow "faster-?" You cut him off and pulled him close connecting your lips with his, it was hot, like never before, nothing ever made you feel as warm as that. Your whole body started burning from the sensation. Ace was shocked at your move but didn't pull away wanting to savor the moment, even if it's just another dream of his.

Your lips were so soft yet so cold, he never experienced anything like that. He got cocky a bit and licked your bottom lip with his tongue asking for permission to which you obliged feeling dizzy from all the warmth around you. As his tongue entered your mouth you moaned loudly under him making him pull away and cover his mouth. He didn't expect you to make such noise, he also didn't want to go that far with you.. You looked so worn out and sweaty, he tried to understand what just happened when he heard your pants "Y-y/n why did you-? Are you ok?" He tried to keep calm which was hard seeing you in that state, it was way too erotic. "I told you it would work" you smiled slightly looking at him as you caressed his freckled cheek with your hand. He blushed at your comment and pulled you close to him going under covers to join you in the warm bed. "I love you Ace" you whispered making him hug you tighter. Was this real, was this actually happening? Maybe it is a dream, there's no way you would- "I love you" you whispered again making his thoughts shut up for a moment. You kissed his cheek as you laid your head in the crook of his neck giving him more kisses. He could feel your breath on it making him loose his mind, it was too much at the same time, he might explode if his heart doesn't stop beating so fast. You started running your fingers on his back inhaling his scent making you feel more dizzy. "Y/n?" He asked, you didn't reply, he could feel your hands on his body and your leg over his own, you were gone. It's as if you were in heat, his voice couldn't even reach you so he decided to let you be for the moment hoping you won't get too touchy with him. He knew he wouldn't be able to resist you if you did. You were whispering his name into his ear making him shiver but he still kept his cool hoping you'll calm down soon after you get used to the warmth. After some time he pulled you slightly off seeing your face, he swears he saw hearts in your eyes. He's not getting away from you easily, you were far too deep. He pinned you down with his own body not allowing you to move as much soon making you fall asleep under him making him able to pull away and breathe for a moment. "Holy shit" he thought to himself, this was actually happening, no matter how many times he pinched himself he didn't wake up. He thought what to do and decided to just go to sleep after the whole day. Feeling tired from all the work he did and the... interesting interaction he had with you he finally fell into a deep sleep keeping you close to his chest.

Ace woke up with a big headache groaning from the pain, he tried to get up but he felt something heavy not allowing him to do so. He looked down and saw you asleep cuddling up to his torso, he blinked not trying to think why is there a half naked woman next to him in his bed. He looked again realizing he was also almost naked only having his boxers on, he looked at you again and his face turned into pure terror, he didn't remember much from last night, he remembered you and why you were here, but what happened after he got wasted? "I didn't do anything right?" He thought in panic while you stirred awake and looked up at him in awe, you weren't able to get a good look at his body last night since it was so dark and you were tired but now that you're awake you can see everything clear. His muscular chest with a six pack that was perfectly shown right before you in the morning light, you caught yourself staring at him and looked away in embarrassment. You just met him yesterday. "..why am I only in my boxers?" Ace slowly spoke scared of what your response will be, you got confused for a second but then remembered "oh! You passed out yesterday so I thought I'll take off your pants so you'll be more comfortable" you explained smiling brightly at him, Ace sighed in relief thanking god he didn't do anything more... inappropriate. Though he still blushed at the fact you undressed him, now he knew why he was almost naked but there was still the mystery of why you are only in your bra and panties "so um.. how come you are only in your underwear?" He asked covering his face from you, you blushed slightly "I couldn't find any shirts so I just decided to just go to sleep in my underwear, normally I wouldn't do it since it would be too cold for that. But with you it's always warm!" you quickly explained to him while he groaned from the situation you both were in "what if someone found you like that?" He thought to himself, he doesn't even wanna know he would probably bury himself if that would've happened. You started feeling cold again so you got closer to him sitting on his lap and put you hands around him nuzzling your face in his chest. Ace was taken by surprise by your bold move but he quickly understood you were just cold, the position did fluster him though. You were sitting on his lap.. while you were both only in your underwear, his mind started going places so he quickly pulled you away "we should get up, Thatch probably made breakfast already" he said putting on his pants on along with his hat and necklace, you quickly followed him putting back on your clothes. "You probably have more clothes at your house, we could go pick the up today before we sail out.." he said looking away "sure" you said as you grabbed his hand startling him, he still didn't get used to it, but it was probably just a matter of time before he does.

Both you and Ace entered the dining hall and everyone's attention immediately turned towards you, you heard few whistles as some of the crew mates saw you hugging his arm making Ace blush. You both ate breakfast, Ace passed out once scaring you to death thinking he died but quickly got informed it was normal. Many crew mates were either asking you to s of questions or just act jealous of Ace. You both sat next to Marco and Izo, sadly Thatch was still in the kitchen so he couldn't join you. "So, what are your plans for today Y/n" Izo asked glancing at Ace from time to time who was still embarrassed by the whole situation "Ace suggested to pick up my stuff from my house before we sail out, so that's all I have planned for now" you answered munching on your food. "That means you have tons of free time, how about we go out? I would like to get to know you-" "no" Ace cut the guy off making Marco raise an eyebrow at his stern voice. "I-I mean, I need to be with Y/n so she won't get sick again so she shouldn't go out without me" he quickly added realizing what he just said. "Why did I got so worked up about this?" He thought to himself, you finished eating and poked his arm bringing him back to reality "you wanna go now? I could show you around the town if you want" you said giving him a soft smile which made him blush once more "s-sure" he answered cursing himself for stuttering at your cuteness. Marco meanwhile was analyzing Ace this whole time smirking to himself knowing what was going inside of his head, he was surely gonna tell Thatch about that, too bad he was busy in kitchen. He missed quite the show.

"Do you wanna go get the stuff first or see the town?" You asked looking up to meet Ace's eyes "how about we get your things first, then can leave them here and we could check out the town without having to worry about them later" he suggested to which you nodded happily. You can spend more time with him, for some reason there's something about him that makes you want to be with him all the time, maybe it's his personality that attracts you to him. Or maybe it's that freckled smile he gives you all the time... Either way you showed him the way to your small house on the outskirts of the small town. On your way Ace noticed a lot of people staring at you and whisper something, he ignored it at first but then a couple of girls bumped into you saying sorry but laughing right after it. At this point he felt like he was about to explode he was so angry, why are people acting like that towards you, he wasn't imagining it right? He took your hand seeing you look at the ground. His action made you look at him in shock, he saw tears building up in you eyes so he held your hand tighter. "Ace?" You asked confused but he just kept walking not wanting to make things worse, he knows he would just end up making things worse if he lets him emotions get the best of him.

"Care to explain?" He asked sitting down on your couch. You finally arrived at your house, it was small but cosy. You were going through your drawers as he asked you the question making you stop. "What?" You asked confused what did he mean by that, explain what? "Why are the townspeople such assholes to you?" He got to the point making you look away from him and started going through your stuff again "I don't know what you're talking about" you awkwardly laughed making him sigh "I might be stupid, but not that much to see something isn't right here". You looked at him, his expression was sad, you didn't like seeing him frown like that. You wanted him to smile again.. like he always did. You thought for a second, there's no point in hiding it, he would find out sooner or later. "It's because I can't feel heat. I'm an anomaly to them, since I was little it was like that. The kids would even pour boiling water on me just for fun that's why I have few burn scars on my body. Even right now that I'm older people avoid me as if I was a plague.." Ace clenched his fists from anger, why would anyone to that?! And how did he not saw anything earlier, is he really that blind. He was angry at himself, it's not like you were hiding the scars too. Just because someone has a different body temperature or they can't feel warmth doesn't mean they're a monster. You went back to rummaging through another drawer as you saw him get upset at what he just heard. It was probably better to leave him be, if you said anything more he would probably just burn the whole town.

You were deep in thought when you felt arms wrap around your stomach. Ace walked up to you and gave you a big hug resting his chin on your shoulder "they're all idiots" he grumbled in annoyance making you chuckle. You turned around and hugged him back keeping him close. It felt so nice and warm with him you didn't want to let go. "Don't worry, it doesn't bother me as much anymore" you reassured him "liar" he whispered into the crook of you neck making you chuckle, he was right. But you didn't want to think about that anymore, "how about we don't go back to the town" he murmured "sure, I know a place we could go to. How do you feel about a picnic?" You asked running your fingers through his hair. "sounds good to me".

You put your stuff back on the ship and shortly after you went out again. "Are we there yet?" Ace whined for the millionth time, you couldn't blame him though. You were both walking for almost an hour now and he was surely starving by now. "Don't worry, we're almost there. Just few meters and we can relax" you said as you saw him lighten up at your words giving you that cute smile again. As you arrived Ace just stared in awe at the sight you both saw before you. It was a beautiful flower field in the middle of the big forest you went through "Holy shit, how did you even found this place y/n?" He asked still gawking with his mouth open "one day I just decided to explore the forest a little bit more and stumbled over this flower field" you replied putting the blanket on the grass carefully to not accidentally destroy any flowers. You took out the food and laughed a bit at Ace still admiring the view "are you gonna eat or can I have everything?" You teased Ace putting him out of his thoughts. You both ate quickly, being hungry from all the walking.

You hummed a song as you picked up some flowers and started making a flower crown out of them. Ace was watching your concentrated face the whole time admiring your face. It would sometimes turn into a cute pout when a flower fell out, when you finished making the flower crown you looked towards Ace and caught him staring at you. When your eyes met he realized he was staring and looked away quickly blushing furiously. He was blushing so hard you could see his ears turn red, it was adorable. You put the flower crown on his head making him look at you again. He was still blushing, the flower crown fit him perfectly "you look so beautiful" you blurted out quickly covering your mouth in embarrassment "I mean, the flower crown looks beautiful on you, not you. I mean, you're beautiful, handsome, a very attractive man but that's not what I meant!" You spoke fast, you wanted to bury yourself at what just came out of your mouth, Ace just started laughing while still blushing "well thank you! I didn't expect that!" he kept on laughing while you were sulking at what just happened. Ace just pulled you close by putting his arm around you "c'mon it's alright, you don't have to get all embarrassed!" He said through laughing "am I really that beautiful y/n?" He teased making you groan "you're never gonna leave it are you?" "Nope~" he smirked. "I hate you" "no you don't" he smiled ruffling your hair. "Could you teach me how to make those?" He pointed at the flower crown to which you nodded happily.

He was a bit clumsy so you grabbed his hand and guided him through it making him slightly blush at the fact you both were so close. After a little bit he got the hang of it so you let go of his hand and watched him work on the flower crown. When he finally finished, the sun was already setting down, "it's not as pretty as yours.. but here" he put the flower crown on your head making you smile "what do you mean? For the first time it looks amazing, looks better than my first try for sure!" You said smiling brightly, it made him happy to hear that, you both were enjoying the time together and joking around but it was getting dark so you both decided to go back to the ship. On your way there you started getting sleepy so Ace gave you a piggyback ride still not completely sure if you were supposed to walk so much in the first place, he was worried about you but he also didn't want to risk getting his ass kicked by Marco.

By the time you arrived to the Moby Dick you were already asleep. "Where the hell were you both?" Marco whispered noticing you were asleep on Ace's back "we were having a picnic" Ace whispered back shrugging. Izo noticed the flower crowns on both of your heads and smiled to himself. "Put her in the bed, we're gonna set sail" Marco said walking away.

Ace tucked you in to the bed, he had the sudden urge to give you a kiss, you looked so cute to him. He gave you a kiss right next to your lips pulling away blushing "why did I do that" he thought to himself, he quickly left the room quietly praying you were still asleep. When you heard the door close you quickly sat up trying to comprehend what just happened, so many things were going through your head at the same moment your head started hurting. You surely won't be able to fall asleep any time soon that's for sure. "Why did he kiss me?"

It was cold...

Way too cold

You never felt warmth throughout your whole life, but this time it was way worse than any other time. You were just walking on the beach when the coldness hit you, you saw a pirate ship in the distance so you wanted to get a closer look but seems the world decided to finally end you suffering. Your eyes started closing as you fell on the sand. You thought you heard footsteps but it's not like it mattered anymore. You could feel your life was slowly coming to an end...

"Her temperature is way too low, how is she even alive right now?" Marco muttered partially to himself while Ace just stared at your unconscious body "it's gonna get lower than it already is she'll die for sure-" "what if I warm her up?" Ace cut him off. Marco thought for a minute thinking of any other way but this one seemed like the best one to help you at the moment "yeah it should work, just don't do it rapidly we need to take it slow so the body will get used to the temperature in a healthy way" Marco replied. Ace quickly sat on the inflammatory bed pulling you close to him. Your body was cold as ice so he hissed at the contact, but you needed him right now. He didn't even know you. He didn't know what made him so determined to help you, but he didn't bother thinking about that, for now he needs to help you. Maybe it was the feeling that he was needed to someone..

Hours later you were still unconscious but your body seemed to warm up "her temperature seems to be normal now, you can lay her down" Marco told Ace. But as soon as he stopped touching you the thermometer showed once again that your body heat seemed to low down to a dangerous level "what the hell... Why can't her body hold heat on its own?" Marco was confused, he never seen anything like that, he couldn't even give you any meds since he didn't know what was wrong with you. The only thing that seemed to help was Ace, who was keeping you close once again seeing your state worsen. "I'm gonna go find some books, maybe one of them will help. For now, keep a close eye on her. If anything happens come get me" Marco told Ace who nodded actually looking like he payed attention for once which surprised Marco a bit but he decided to ignore it.

You felt weird, comfortable, but in a weird way. You never felt anything like that, without thinking much you wrapped your hands around the 'thing' that was emitting the weird feeling. Was it warmth? No it couldn't be... You heard a grunt in response making you freeze in place scared to open your eyes "huh?" Ace looked down and saw you clench to him for your dear life as if you were about to die if he was to leave. It took him a minute to realize what's happening "oh shit, you're awake! Are you ok, does anything hurt?" He asked you worried "...I'm ok" you whispered into his chest "I'm gonna go get Marco, he needs to check up on you" he spoke fast trying to stand up but you wouldn't let him go. He looked down at you and you looked like you were about to cry "please don't go... I haven't left so warm in my life" you whisper-begged him, he didn't understand. You didn't feel warm? "What do you mean?" He asked confused sitting down again allowing you to hug him close "since I was born I never really felt warm. I could even spill boiling water on myself and wouldn't feel it..." He pulled covers on both of you and went to his room to get some sleep, thinking of what his next course of action should be.

You woke up cold again "maybe it was a dream.." you thought to yourself. You sat up scanning your surroundings, no, it couldn't be a dream the room looks exactly the same. You stood up immediately walking towards the door opening it up, it was cold, but you were desperate to find him again. He can help you, you saw some people staring at you "isn't that the girl Ace found last night?" "I think so-" "where is the guy with freckles?" You cut him off "oh, you mean Ace? I believe he's with Marco and Thatch in the kitchen right now, but you shouldn't be walking around the deck you're sick aren't you?" You didn't bother listening to more and decided to find the kitchen running away, you didn't know where the kitchen was but you didn't care. You just needed to find him, you felt a bit dizzy but decided to ignore it for now "it'll get better when I find him" you thought.

You were opening doors one after another until you finally opened one of them seeing three guys staring wide eyed at you, and one of them was him, the freckles. "What are you doing out of your bed?" The pineapple head started speaking "I told you I shouldn't have left her, why won't you believe me?" "Because it makes no sense!" Both freckles and pineapple started arguing while you started feeling dizzy again "hey girly, you hungry? I can cook for you anything you want-" before the other guy could finish you started falling to the ground, before you could hit the floor though Ace caught you and lifted you up. "Shit, are you ok?" He cursed under his nose, you didn't bother replying and just nodded, you could feel warmth coming from his body making you feel at ease. Marco quickly ran up to you putting his hand on your forehead feeling it get warm rapidly "what the hell, Ace I told you to not warm her up that fast!" Marco scolded him "but I'm not doing anything! I'm just holding her right now!" Ace defended himself, Marco put his hand on his forehead then Ace's, it wasn't hotter than his own "huh-" he was even more confused than earlier "you can't think on an empty stomach, how about we all eat and then think?" Thatch suggested and both of them nodded in agreement while you nuzzled yourself into Ace's chest making him blush and the other two smirk.

You all ate and you got to know all of their names making you feel stupid you didn't think of Ace's name earlier considering he has a tattoo of it. Soon enough Marco started bombarding you with questions while Ace kept you in his lap "so basically you can't feel heat since you're born and the only one you're feeling it from is Ace?" He asked in shock "pretty much yeah" you shrugged "so what do we do?" Ace asked "well, her state got so bad to the point she will die if she won't feel your touch for too long, we don't really have too much of a choice here do we" Thatch spoke while Marco nodded "it's all up to you Y/n, would you like to join Whitebeard pirates? I'm sure Pop's will understand your situation" Marco said, it nade you think for a bit. It's not like you have anything to keep you in your home, everyone always bullies you for your disability, so.. "as long as I can be with Ace I don't mind" you blantly said making Ace cover his face with his hand at your choice of words. "It's decided then, let's go to Pop's!"

Whitebeard was reculant at first but he quickly took a liking to you "I can't fight but I can do other things I can cook too!" You said as Whitebeard laughed at your determination "As long as you don't bother Thatch I don't have anything against it. Now, let's have a banquet for my daughter!" Whitebeard announced laughing as you hugged Ace's arm feeling cold yet again. "Welcome abroad" he smiled making you smile back at him. "Now that I think of it" Marco started catching everyone's attention "how are you gonna sleep?" he finished making Ace's face drop at his words and making Thatch laugh like a maniac while you were standing there confused at everyone's reactions. "She'll need a separate room that's for sure, but considering she needs to keep warm she could just sleep with Ace in his room" Marco continued smirking at Ace making him blush furiously "y-yeah I guess" he stuttered avoiding eye contact with everyone.

The evening came fast, everyone was enjoying the banquet drinking and laughing "Ace is one lucky guy to have such a beauty stuck to him~" one guy said, he was completely wasted just like most of the crew. You laughed with everyone else while Ace had more confidence in his drunken state putting his arm around you being on the verge of passing out after so many drinks "I'm gonna put him in his room, he's gonna pass out any minute.." Izo said being the most sober person along with you. He picked up Ace while you followed them to his room "if you need anything feel free to ask" Izo said smiling while putting Ace on the bed. You giggled at his soft snores, he looked cute "good night y/n" "good night" you replied as Izo closed the door behind him. You looked around, you didn't expect the room to be so clean, you looked at passed out Ace on the bed, he was still in his pants "it must be uncomfortable to sleep in those" you thought, you took them off along with his hat and necklace and pulled covers over his body. You looked around the room and decided to search for any shirts, with no avail "I guess he really doesn't like shirts" you thought to yourself taking off everything except you panties and bra joining Ace under the covers cuddling up to him and soon falling asleep.

When you needed to breathe he pulled away licking your lips making you giggle. Sabo went to the kitchen to make breakfast while Luffy fell asleep on you snoring loudly "he acts like he's still a kid" Ace sighed pulling him off of you and laying him down on himself "maybe it's because you and Sabo still treat him like one" you laid on the side looking at the cute scene before you. Ace hugging sleeping Luffy on top of his chest, Luffy's face looked so relaxed and happy as if he knew his brother is keeping him close. Normally Ace plays this cool older brother that wouldn't do stuff like that, but whenever Luffy doesn't look he shows his soft side to him "you two look adorable" you said making Ace hug Luffy even closer to hide his face.

"Breakfast is ready!" Sabo yelled from the kitchen making Luffy wide awake and run immediately to the food not even seeing the way Ace's face turned from a smile to a big scowl after loosing the warmth of his little brother on his chest. You gave him a kiss on a cheek, took his hand and went to the kitchen already seeing Luffy inhale his food in an inhuman speed. You sat down next to him with Ace joining you, you stared at the pancakes in awe "thank you Sabo" you smiled to which Sabo only stood proudly staring at his work which was soon all gone. You could get used to birthdays like that..

The Whitebeard pirates docked at a new island, Ace decided go ahead and explore while Marco yelled at him to get his ass back on the deck. He heard noises of battle so he decided to investigate further, when he got the the scene he found you finishing beating up a whole pirate crew, he tried to get your attention after you finished but you didn't seem to hear so he got closer to get your attention but you seemed to ignore him. When he finally tapped your shoulder you got scared and yelled while you fell on the ground.

"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to scare you!" He apologized as you seemed to calm down a bit. "What's you name?" He asked while giving you a hand to get up. You couldn't hear him but he didn't seem like a bad guy so you took his hand. He also didn't seem like the type to know sign language so you just pointed at your ear and showed an "X" with your fingers. He seemed confused so you took out your notebook and started writing "I'm deaf, please talk a bit slower maybe I'll be able to read your lips" you gave him the notebook and pencil while smiling softly. He felt stupid for not realizing it earlier "I'm sorry I didn't know, what's you name? Mine's Ace" he gave you the notebook back. You kept on writing to each other. You learned each others names, interests.. he finally asked you would you wanna join Whitebeard pirates, it took you by surprise "Isn't it too sudden? They don't even know me" you wrote "don't worry, you're strong and I'm sure Pop's will love you!" He replied giving back the notebook. He motioned with his hand to follow him and you did, you grabbed his hand to not loose him. He was way faster than you. Ace blushed at your action but didn't mind it, he found it cute. When you got to the ship you seemed anxious so Ace ruffled your hair while slowly saying "it's ok" you seemed to understand since your grip on his hand lightened. When Ace appeared again he got hit in the head by Marco who scolded him for good 10 minutes after that, you were confused what's going on but your attention went to a loud vibration of the floor beneath you. Everyone looked immediately at someone who you guessed was the captain. He was saying something towards you but you couldn't read anything from his lips because of the mustache. Ace quickly started explaining to everyone that you're deaf and you can't hear any of them. You could kinda guess what Ace was saying so you hid behind him scared of what they'll think of you. "They beat up the whole crew by herself Pop's!" Whitebeard seemed to take a liking to you immediately so joining wasn't a problem, but more problems came with communication. Thankfully Marco knew sign language so it was easier communicating with the others through him.

After some time Ace would beg Marco to teach him the sign language, he wanted to be able to talk with you easier. When he learned it fully he decided to put it to the test, he found you trying to talk with pops while he just kept on laughing at your attempts to say something.

"Pop's could I borrow y/n for a bit?" Ace asked while Whitebeard nodded and helped you get off of his shoulder. He grabbed your hand somewhere where you two could be alone so no one disturbs you. As soon as he saw the coast was clear, Ace started signing to you "how are you doing y/n?" you got filled with shock which was soon followed by few tears falling off making Ace panic "are you ok what happened?" He kept on signing, when he got no response he pulled you close while you whimpered trying to stop crying, he caressed you back saying it's ok. He knew you can't hear him but knew you can feel the vibrations from his chest and they would always calm you down.

The crew saw you two got very close and teased Ace, even if you were right next to them they would tease him and he would get anxious you'll understand what they're saying. You couldn't really get what they were saying since they were talking way too fast, but one day when someone was speaking slower, you couldn't believe what you read from their lips "I know you like them.. ?" You thought you read it wrong. There's no way, why would he like someone who not only can't hear but also doesn't talk. You quickly ran away from them to your room. Ace saw you and started beating up everyone for possibly making you find out

"They probably hate me now" he groaned "c'mon Ace, y'know we didn't mean to-" he didn't even bother listening and ran off after you. He guessed you'd be in your room. He didn't knock, knowing it wouldn't work anyway, he found you laying in the bed, when you saw him you immediately covered your head, too embarrassed to even look at his face. Ace sat on your bed, he didn't know what to do "they don't even want to look at me" "They hate me" kept going through his head, he didn't even realize he started crying. You felt something was not right so you took out your head only to see Ace covering his face while crying.

You never saw him cry so you quickly pulled him into a hug, you tried to calm him down by petting his hair, he started to calm down and hugged you back. "I love you" Ace's heart dropped as he pulled away looking at you not believing what he just heard. That second he realized, he never heard you say anything. The only time he heard your voice was by scream, laugh or cry. He stared at you not saying anything and you started getting anxious "did I say it wrong?" you thought to yourself getting embarrassed again, you tried to hide yourself under the covers but Ace grabbed your hand getting you attention, "I love you too y/n" he signed. You stared at his hands, then at his face, he was smiling, his eyes full of love. He put his hand on your cheek and pulled you closer, slowly to not scare you he connected his lips to yours. It was a soft kiss full of love, he didn't want to take it further not knowing what you're ok with. So he pulled away giving you another kiss on your nose. He caressed your cheek with his thumb, you were both blushing, "i love you" you whispered making his heart skip "your voice is so beautiful" he signed making you blush harder. He pulled you close nuzzling his face in the crook of your neck. He started giving you kisses on your neck making you laugh.

He later found out you practiced staying "I love you" with Marco making his heart melt. You did it all for him? He would cherish every single time you learned how to say new things for him. He would help you say then correctly never allowing you to practice with Marco again knowing he wouldn't be able to stand the jealousy.

After one of his missions he came back proud with a devil fruit in his hand. He signed for you later "it's a devil fruit, I checked with Marco. We're pretty sure it's a one that will allow you to hear again!" You got excited but also kinda worried "what if it doesn't work" you thought.

Later on he took you to your shared room. You bit into the weird looking fruit kinda sceptical about would it actually help. It was disgusting but you swallowed it. "Is it working?" He asked with hope in his voice. You got startled by the noise and looked at Ace with your eyes open, his worry fading away as a smile on his face appeared. He pulled you close trying to not make too much noise, he got warned by Marco earlier that your hearing might be very sensitive. "How is it?" he asked whispering while hugging you "huh" you were confused, your whole life you couldn't hear anything and suddenly you can hear so many things, his voice, the ship making noises and the sound of waves hitting the Moby Dick. "It's weird" you mumbled while Ace chuckled, your speech wasn't very clear considering you never heard anyone or yourself talk. "You'll get used to it" he whispered "you.. your voice is very attractive" you stumbled on your words making Ace blush from the complement "I wanted to hear it for so long.." you teared up a bit while Ace held you closer, he didn't want to let go you were so precious.

"Well... now you'll be able to hear it all the time" he kissed off few tears that fell on your cheeks.

"Sanjiiiii foood!" Your little brother whined as you just smiled looking at the cute sight, sitting between Sabo and Ace "god he looks so cute.." Sabo whispered as he covered his face from anyone seeing his blush (which was still very obvious). Ace just gawking at his little brother running after Sanji to steal some food with two ponytails on his head you did on him. "We have such a cute brother huh" you said as the three of you looked like total idiots looking at Luffy as the rest of the crew still tried to proceed what was happening in front of them. You looked at your boyfriend who seemed upset just few seconds ago concerned about him "Ace" you nudged him, he was back up from laying his head on the table "hm?" Ace looked at you changing his face back to looking upset "you have something here" you pointed at his chest, as he looked down you quickly kissed his forehead and ran up to help Sanji get away form Luffy. Ace just sat there with opened mouth looking at you while Sabo was dying from laughter at Aces obvious blush all over his face.
