HO HO HO IT IS I AGAIN. I have many questions. Some of them more relevant than others. It's like spaghetti. Throw a load of things and see what sticks. Firstly, how do you feel about time loops. And secondly, what are some of your other favourite shows.

I'm pretty sure there's an episode in Haven where they're in a time loop. I am so okay with it. Supernatural time loops...yes...

Also, as for like, actually acted out tv: Haven, Criminal Minds, New Girl, House. I'm sure I have more but off the top of my head those are the ones I can think of.

As for others- I am so into anime. I really like Jujutsu Kaisen, Free!, One Piece, Ouran High School Host Club, Mob Psycho 100.

I wondered if you could tell me about how much you love angst and fluff? Is it a lot of one and none of the other? A little of both? What brings you joy in your little shipper heart?

hi sleuthy! i do like a bit of both- i believe there should be a balance. if we're talking au or something- i love a good angst, miscommunication (say...pretend/fake relationship oooo, LOVE), that ends with a happy ending.

idk if i can even say this on tumblr but i think a good trope that any fan community doesn't explore enough is hate sex. shrug

Ho Ho Ho, it's that time of year again when I, your Secret Sleuth, am here to sniff out some sleuthy clues to what you like. You've told me you like AUs, tell me some of your favourites! What do you like about them? Also, what are some of your favourite episodes of Nancy Drew? The comfort ones, the ones that bring you joy. I want them allllllllll.

okay aus- listen. i have so many in my head that i HAVENT written at this point it's...frightening.

however some of my favorites include soulmate aus (their first words on you, matching tattoos, a tattoo that identifies them, a handprint the first place they touch you (and it's in a weird spot sometimes which makes it confusing and funnier), etc), i also love the angst that hanahaki disease au brings, childhood friends, college au, arranged marriage (any reason just give me having to pretend a relationship and i will worship u). i think we've had maybe a few soulmate mark aus but i really dig it. even better if there's confusion ugh, perfect spectacular.

i have a running list of comfort episodes and some of them ppl will be like uhm why. but

103 - lilac inn, i love nick sm and he's so fucking smart and just. i love his story developing over the series and UGH i love this episode

108 - george/ace friendship starts here for me tbh. and i LOVE ace/george friendship

113 - WHISPER BOX MY BELOVED...ace was largely the same yes he was...

114 - "i love you" "i think i love you too" come on peak cinema

203 - burying lucy in the woods. see, i'm a big ryan fan and i love nancy just. having pieces of lucy and spending time with ryan. i am actually ryan's biggest fan and i'm also grant's biggest fan too. # grant summer

210 - need i say more. lust dress.

212 - OHHH GRANT I LOVE U...

213 - ok actual comfort episode, birdie is so beloved and learning to let go is very hard for me! so this and when george splits from odette and nancy talks about missing her mom that same episode were very hard.

218 - dreamscape...ough..

303 - ace being possessed and detective con. the message at the end..like this episode is SO GOOD

307 - see 213...talking about grief is hard

310 - OUGHHHH NANCY KNOWING ACE IS TRAPPED IN A GHOST DIMENSION BE STILL MY HEART

403 - comfort episode up until everything goes WRONG bc nace is so happy in it

404 - I LOVE MOVIE STAR BESS AND MANAGER RYAN THEY MAKE ME GIGGLE. COMFORT EPISODE

406 - tristan at prom my beloved marry me. comfort episode until the spider eugh also nancy drew my beautiful girl i love u

408 - BODY SWAP...

413 - finale..u will always be famous ACE HARDY!!!!

that was a long list and i'm pretty sure i'm missing a few (like when the dads become teens but OK) my top episodes are probably 113, 210, 213, 307, 403, 404, 408, and 413. i forget when the dads become teens but that is another that i LOVE. sory for my in depth review but i figured it might help LMAO

also i love grant so much i believe in gralad (grant x salad )

They hadn’t meant to keep it a secret. Really. It just so happened that Bess, Nick, and George weren’t super great at noticing that their two friends were dating now. And that fact had amused Nancy and Ace so much, they wondered how long it would take them to catch on. -- An alt post 3x10 fic, where Ace didn't get sucked into the liminal space and Nace got to have their conversation at Nick's loft and they got together. But the rest of the Drew Crew just like, don't notice. Nancy and Ace start to wonder -- what would they have to do to get their friends to realise they are dating?

MY SECRET SLEUTH!!! i apologize for being so incredibly late- a new game dlc came out and my brain shut off.

1. personally, the scale was tipped passed neutral and more in favor of the love curse storyline. i thought it was interesting and if we had more time i would have loved a more fleshed out sin eater arc with a slower discovery of tristan being the SE, because i am the angst queen, whilst simultaneously hating it. it's a slippery slope and i am precariously hanging on.

2. plans for holidays: chanukkah is spent with ace's family and they definitely are indoctrinating the drew-hudson family (bess is a drew ofc) and by extension george and her sisters are included as well as nick. for christmas, the drew's invite every family to participate in their traditions because they want to reciprocate being included ofc. i think aside from holiday traditions like hanukkah and christmas family things, nace would obviously do comfy movie time (doesn't have to be holiday, they could watch any movie and be cozy), ice skating (who knows who is the best?), and as always, snowball fights are fun. however i have no idea how weather works in maine so who knows if the snow is good for that! i live in the hot hot sandy dunes of florida where 65 means a sweater and a scarf or you freeze.

3. well. this is a difficult question.

last secret sleuth, it was Inside Your Mind. since their new album has come out and i've since seen them live, it is definitely About You (in terms of naceplications because COME ON. i basically bullied it onto Kennedy's s4 playlist) and my all time favorite, the one that is being tattooed on my body sometime because of the meaning, is Give Yourself a Try. However, however. Holiday feels songs to listen to- Wintering and When We Are Together off of their new album (Being Funny in a Foreign Languge)!!

2. You also mentioned characters and storylines you wanted to see more of. Totally agree, I would have loved them to bring back Grant in season 4!!! But what Nace-specific storylines would you have like to see handled differently? Or just explored a bit more?

3. I also like a college au. Are there any other settings you enjoy? Like a specific workplace? Or based on a specific movie / tv show?

i always enjoy seeing you pop up hehe

again, this is super difficult because obviously all of them are stunning, but i have to go with the library ep in s1...even if it isn't nace centric it is to me. that was the beginning and then i believe it's 403 when they try to break the curse for the first time. they're so happy and it makes me :D!!! but obviously 413 as they're literally SOUL BONDED.

since 413 was the last episode, i would have LOVED seeing more of the soul bond. like did it just burn the curse or did it do more (is it like a new power where they are even further linked?) it would have been super cool to see if they have like a further link forged since it is now their last lifetime they can live.

i have a few that i have thought of writing but haven't actually gotten around to writing LMAO- like for specific tv shows i was going to write a Cobra Kai AU which the idea of having Ace and Nancy be rivals on Cobra Kai and Miyagi would be amazing. as for workplace, im a whore for secret workplace romance but everyone knows (its not a secret).

picking a favorite episode is genuinely so difficult. if i can give you one from each ep that isn't Nace centric, it would probably be 113 or 116, 212 (i'm a grant stan), 303 or 307 (the grief eps were always so good), annnnd 404 and 413.

i really wish we had more grant- i know i will keep harping on it but i want to know more. the road back of course, rip tom swift and what could have been. overall i'm actually pretty satisfied with the many loose ends they were able to tie up. i would however love to see more background for Bess and what is happening with her, at most we got her burning the family invitation from the Marvin's in s2 or 3 if i recall. anything else i'm blanking on bc it's late.

oh jeez. college aus are my jam. there are several aus that i love the universes that were crafted, specifically the winery au that was done by jules (i gotta reblog w a link as i can't find it at this moment), but anything college is my jam. i love modern aus because i usually am reading or watching something fantasy where everyone is d wording LMAOOOO

1. my favorite rom com...that's a hard one. one of my favorites is the Wedding Singer. my guilty pleasure is Adam Sandler movies and i love Wedding Singer and his other film with Drew Barrymore, 50 First Dates.

i love a lot of 80s rom coms. of course i love Pretty in Pink and Sixteen Candles, as well as maybe any J-Lo movie that came out (Maid in Manhattan, etc) in the 90s. Julia Roberts rom coms are also good.

2. oh my gosh, secret sleuth you aren't making these questions easy. i love Stardew Valley, Hades, Disney Dreamlight Valley, Dead by Daylight. I'm also a big fan of the game Oneshot (do not look up spoilers if you haven't played it, if you don't know what it is i straight up just recommend playing it). But definitely cozy games and horror games

3. ok let's go with

- sunshine + grumpy

- fake relationship (fake marriage is my favorite, i spent way too much time in the mcu fandom reading reader inserts of having to be on missions where you were fake married)

- i guess forced proximity? like sharing a bed bc there is only one (or if they have to keep up the fake marriage allegation but one of them sleeps in the guest room, etc).

(can you tell i love fake dating/marriage)
