Alright! Our Mission will start soon! As we will not be allowed to use social media during our #Moon mission simulation at Hi-Seas habitat in Hawaii near a volcano, with the team from ESA - European Space Agency #ESA and #ILEWG #international Lunar #exploration working Group #euromoonmars campaign, it is my great pleasure and honor to introduce to you the awesome Dr Shawna Pandya who's going to keep you updated about our daily life on the Moon , support me as Ground Control during the mission and act as a moderator on my official Facebook page Benipi.com
https://www.facebook.com/Benipidotcom/
(follow me there 👨🚀)
As she will post the updates and pictures I will send her by email, but also provide to you her own perspective about analog #astronaut #training in extreme environments.
Dr. Shawna Pandya is a citizen-scientist astronaut candidate with @project_possum physician-surgeon, speaker, martial artist, advanced diver, skydiver and pilot-in-training. She holds degrees in in #neuroscience , #space, entrepreneurship and medicine.
In 2015, Dr. Pandya successfully completed Scientist-Astronaut Candidate training with Project PoSSUM and was part of the first crew to test a commercial #spacesuit in zero-gravity.
Dr. Pandya is also the lead instructor for Project PoSSUM’s EVA 101: Space and Wilderness Medicine.
During her #research in Aerospace Medicine at #NASA ’s Johnson #Space Center in Houston Dr. Pandya delineated medical scenarios and optimized the Medical Kit contents for a Near-Earth #Asteroid Mission, which was praised by NASA Astronaut Dr. Kjell Lindgren as “outstanding” and “invaluable towards the body of work for long-duration spaceflight.” Dr. Pandya has also worked at the European Space Agency Astronaut Center Crew Medical Support Office
in Germany, delineating a Quick-Reference Guide for Crew Health Hazards to the Autonomous Transfer Vehicle... Dr. Pandya’s research interests center on resilience and performance in extreme environments, as well as reproduction in long-duration spaceflight.
Many thanks Dr! ✨🚀
