I… was unaware that snooty villagers don’t get along with lazy villagers when I invited Judy to my 40% lazy villager town…

I made a few alphabet references for designs. Feel free to use them. (ft. some Chinese characters: 山(mountain), 鱼(fish),火(fire), 水(water),竹(bamboo),林(wood), 花(flower), 星(star)).

Another way to not get scammed is to join specific online communities. Places like r/acturnips or r/actrade ban known/reported scammers, so make sure anyone you're trading with there responds to your post before DMing you to prove they aren't banned.
r/nofeeac is also a good one with, as the name suggests, NO FEES.
My favorite group is a Discord server called Stalk Market that's a little overwhelming at first, but I've made so many good friends. Entry fees are banned and users can be rated, so you can trade with known, reputable members.
Trading in New Horizons can become very wild very fast, but if you stick to good communities, you're golden :)

As I’m seeing people getting scammed a lot lately (especially because of the Raymond craze), I thought making a post like this, especially for new AC players would be useful?
1. When trading villagers with people you don’t know, always ask for a screenshot of the villager in boxes with the player saying your username.
2. If you are getting scammed, shut down your game or your wifi, you’ll get your items back. DON’T quit the island via the airport, it will save the game and you’ll loose your stuff (thanks for the reminder @mabelsssyrup ).
3. If you’re an adult, do what you want but if someone is asking for real life money, maybe reconsider trading with them, as it’s probably a scam (please don’t buy Raymond on ebay…) And also i’m pretty sure it’s against Nintendo’s rules so…
4. Suggested by @ayveehearts :  Another good idea is to check the map during villager trading to make sure the person actually has the villager. It doesn’t make it impossible for them to scam you, but you’ll know straight away if you’re being scammed if they straight up don’t have the villager. This is especially pertinent for high-value villagers like Raymond, Judy, Audie, etc.
It’s all I can think of right now, feel free to add more in the replies, I’ll add them on the post (with credits of course)! Be safe everyone !

Why not use a pattern on the floor? It doesn't reproduce so you won't get confused.
in my defense, i have more weeds than i do brain cells.

ACNH Tip #2
Weeds are actually really helpful when planning!
They don't take up much space in your inventory (stacks up to 99) and are super easy to get. They're easy to pick up and place, and buildings can be moved directly on top of them, which is perfect for lining things up correctly.
You can plant them in a group, to give you a sense of space something may take up. When you're done, pick them up and do whatever.
