i try to be chill but my brain writes essays about everything

i always find it funny when people think i’m this super chill person based on my tumblr presence. sure, i’m chill in the sense that i go with the flow. i’m generally okay with last minute changes & i try to be understanding with people. but that being said my personality is the opposite of ‘chill’. i’m talkative, verbose, and with the right people my filter is practically nonexistent. it’s not something i try to conceal on here, but blog posts aren’t the best medium to express that side of myself since it really only comes out in verbal conversation

aw thank you!! that means a lot. i will say, there’s really no need to be envious. i really care about my blog and i like to think i’m good at image curating, but it’s more of an art project/journal of sorts than a detailed look into who i am. i try to be as authentic as possible, but it’s only a small part of myself that shows on here. i’m a lot more of a mess irl, just like any other person.

i love it when you read multiple works from a writer and you start being able to pick out the things that stick with them. like the themes they keep thinking about, that can’t be satisfied with just one poem or novel or story. or the motifs they like to reuse and recycle throughout their works like an extradiagetic thread. it’s like drawing a map through a writer’s collection of all the things that keep them up at night

im about to go see a production of title of show and then immediately after i get to perform in my first showcase for both anastasia and hadestown!

the theater that this is at is also sooo cool because it was converted from a train station like 60 years ago and it’s very intimate. i’m in the first row and the stage is just a wooden floor, so the actors will be quite literally close enough to touch.
