My Tomb Raider Fanfics Masterpost

So, now that I'm back to writing, I though I would make a post to gather and share all my Tomb Raider fanfics both in Spanish and English versions, in case anyone asks. :)

All my fanfics are TRAOD sequels - just one timeline and universe, focused on Lara and Kurtis' (Lartis) relationship throughout the years - and you can read them in this order. I'll put the main ones that can't be missed in capitals:

1. The Good In Him: One-shot focused on Lara and Werner’s feud after Egypt and right before the events of TRAOD. Old, basic, but still cute at some point.

2. The Louvre Affair: First one-shot I ever wrote, only vestige of a TRAOD novelization I never got to write. Describes the Louvre sequence from Lara’s POV. Very basic, still fond of it.

3. THE GOLDEN SEAL: My first TRAOD sequel. The story about the immediate events after the Strahov. 29 chapters. Slow-burn, sexual tension.

4. LILITH'S SCEPTER: Post-The Golden Seal events. Rated Mature (triggers: sex, violence, strong language, rape/non-con, gore, death of major characters). 51 chapters. The longest so far, a wild ride.

5. Daughter: Christmas one-shot after the events of Lilith's Scepter. Focused also on Lara and Werner's feud, but providing closure.

6. Mr Vance Renner: NSFW one-shot. Smut. Mature. Consensual sex.

7. Airlock: NSFW one-shot. Smut. Mature. Consensual sex. Trigger: choking.

8. A Stack Of Photos: One-shot post-Lilith’s Scepter events. Rated Mature. Violence.

9. THE AWAKENING: Mini fanfic (6 chapters). Introducing an important semi-OC who exists since Lilith’s Scepter and was part of Core Design’s headcanon to the sequels of TRAOD.

10. THE LEGACY: Ongoing fanfic (29 chapters by now). Post-The Awakening events. Rated mature. Graphic violence. Death of a Major Character. Soon to be updated.

MASTERPOST PARA MIS FANFICS DE TOMB RAIDER

Ahora que he vuelto a escribir, he pensado en hacer este masterpost para compartir mis fanfics de Tomb Raider, tanto en español como en inglés. Todos mis fanfics son continuaciones de TRAOD: una sola línea temporal y un universo, centrados en la relación de Lara y Kurtis (Lartis) a lo largo de los años, y podéis leerlos en este orden. Pondré los principales que no te puedes perder en mayúscula:

1. Lo Bueno Que Hay en Él: One-shot centrado en la disputa entre Lara y Werner después de Egipto y justo antes de los eventos de TRAOD.

2. El Affair del Louvre: Primer one-shot que escribí, muy antiguo, único vestigio de una novelización de TRAOD que nunca llegué a escribir. Describe la secuencia del Louvre desde el punto de vista de Lara.

3. EL SELLO ÁUREO: Mi primera continuación de TRAOD. La historia sobre los eventos inmediatamente posteriores al Strahov. 29 capítulos. Slow-burn, tensión sexual.

4. EL CETRO DE LILITH: Eventos posteriores al Sello Áureo. Clasificación para adultos (avisos: sexo, violencia, lenguaje fuerte, violación/no consentido, sangre, muerte de personajes principales). 51 capítulos. El más largo, muy intenso.

5. Hija: One-shot navideño tras los sucesos del Cetro de Lilith. Centrado en la disputa entre Lara y Werner (de nuevo). Cierre.

6. Sr. Vance Renner: One-shot NSFW. Erótico. Para adultos. Sexo consentido.

7. Airlock: One-shot NSFW. Erótico. Para adultos. Sexo consentido. Aviso: asfixia.

8. Un Puñado de Fotos: One-shot posterior a los eventos del Cetro de Lilith. Clasificación para adultos.

9. EL DESPERTAR: Mini fanfic (6 capítulos). Presenta a un personaje semi-OC importante que existe desde El Cetro de Lilith y formó parte del canon principal de Core Design hasta las secuelas de TRAOD.

10. EL LEGADO: Fanfic en curso (29 capítulos por ahora). Eventos posteriores a El Despertar. Clasificación para adultos. Violencia. Muerte de un personaje principal. Próximamente se actualizará.

Im not happy with my traditional inking skills lately, so in order not to ruin this "alright" pencils, im sharing it right away. Maybe I'll paint it in time 😁

Aww… I really get you girl.. I still want to finish lilith‘s scepter, and doing sooo many things but, had some toxic reletion ship shit after me, el hawa, work and now i have not much time cause of my current work, which makes me so tired in the evening that i mostly just roll into my bed after🤣🥲… but i think it will hopfullly change soon😅.

To El Hawa.. yeah there was a few things,… the back pack thing… we cutted some lines that it makes it a bit more „logical“ that von Croy had it at the end.. also if i would have followed correctly to murtis instructions (naughty me didn‘t😝) , the sacrab amulett would be replaced with an other one (fun fact, i just finished the sarab one, murti told us it would be an other one, so i drew the other one, after i finished it, ash decided to use the old😆🙄).

Also Lara was a bit more „covered“ in loose clothes but i was thinking to make her design more „body-hugging“ cause, com’on it‘s Lara Croft.. 😆…

So for me i saw on this concept short sleeves and the long a transparent cloak … so i came up with this 😆…

After I got recommended by murti to draw her more in loose beduin style with a looong thick blue robe/cloak.. which i thought is unpractical in combat😆

And yeah I still didn‘t read the long version of el hawa😅.. cause tbh i think the short version is long enough to explain everything.. i like egypt but i was also thinking lara‘s character got temporary turned in a bit too much „i hate my old life-drame person“😆…. So i‘m happy she got back to normal again in aod🤣… i wish she would stay there still🥲…

Hi! 👋 I want to ask you how you feel about Tomb Raider: The Myth of El Hawa? 🏜️

I'm very happy it got made and it's so beautiful, but the story is to close to La(ra)wrence of Arabia for me? It's not bad, just not very original 🤷‍♀️

(I'm also glad Lara didn't become leader of the tribe, that would make it very corny and her into white-savior 😂)

Yeaaahhh now it's when you send me to hell because I've absolutely not watched it before due to.... personal hectic life. In fact I've watched it just now and only because you asked me to. I'm really sorry for it because my dearest @adayka who has done so much for me and my fanfics worked in this project. But you can tell how personally and mentally exhausted I've been these last years that even if I reblogged and shared the shit outta this project when it came out, I didn't take the time to watch it myself, until now.

Here I leave the thing for if someone else wants to enjoy it:

I've enjoyed it a lot, for sure. I mean, the team is a full brick of talents: Murti, who's a skilled and gifted writer, Jasmine, who has nothing to envy to TR official comic artist when it comes to draw Lara, and of course, Jonell's voice is THE voice for me. Dean Kopri is also fantastic in putting music to all this beauty.

Yet, as you say, the plot isn't original enough. It follows loyally the original idea it existed for the link between The Last Revelation and The Angel of Darkness. Most of us have used it for our fanfics. And the fact it resembles so much Lawrence of Arabia is rightfully pointed out by yourself because even Core team, back in those days, called this plot Lara of Arabia. So they themselves were the first to acknowledge it was deeply inspired in this story.

As for the plot itself, I've enjoyed it but I don't feel particularly taken away for it. The white traveler being sheltered by a POC tribe and later accepted as one of them and initiated in their lore is old as fuck and as you well say, it stinks of white saviour-ism. Efforts have been made here to disclaim it, such as Lara acknowledging that the tribe didn't need her to survive, and the fact you point out, that she finally leaves before turning herself into a leader or something.

Only she HAS turned a leader, commanding expeditions of fighters to defend the people until she's nicknamed El Hawa. It also mentions her wearing blue as a special color to distinguish her, when, in fact, blue is the traditional colour Tuaregs - not Bedouins - use in the desert of Sahara.

It is also unclear why Putai is a black woman if the Bedouins are Arabs, and thus, not black. But that's a mystery that goes back to 2003, right?

In the end, I find it quite enjoyable and we should be grateful fans and former TR members cared enough for us to bring forth this little jewel, but I'm afraid it will just be a passing thing as it happens with everything TRAOD related. Also, as a way of filling the void between TR4 and TR6, it fits a bit distorted, since it would need more fleshing out and completing to fit properly in the rest of the lore - why would she go to Von Croy in Paris if, as she claimed, she cared little anymore about it and was instead anguished to find out what happened to Putai and her people? It just doesn't make sense. Moreover, you can see that's not her attitude in TRAOD at all. But yet again... undevelopment. On the game's part, of course.

Thanks for putting me into watching this, as I had forgotten I had it on my pending tasks. And don't mind the English, for mine isn't perfect either.
