Addie nodded with a smirk. She wouldn’t want to add any unnecessary small talk. She enjoyed people who could just sit comfortably in silence. Alfie seemed like an interesting person, his vibes were comforting in a smoothing way.
“Small talk is so horrendous and painful. Why can’t we just sit in silence and feel out each other’s energy and vibes instead?”

“I’m a sucker for leather jackets,” Addie shrugged. “What can I say? It wouldn’t say I was staring— more like appreciating from afar.”
“The fuck are you looking at?”

axel: on a scale of 1 to 10, how sad would it be if i've somehow ended up sitting at home watching the hannah montana movie alone?
axel: hypothetically of course.
addie: I'd say you're badass for not giving a fuck what anyone thinks.
addie: hypothetically of course. 😉

“Whoa there, If you’re going to talk like that I’d really like my burger back please.” David teased as he threw another uncooked patty on the grill before fully turning his attention to her. “I was going to offer some of this barbecue sauce but now I’m afraid you might want to procreate too.”
“Oh c’mon— food this good needs to be recognized,” Addie rolled her eyes and then flashed him a smile. “Nah— it takes a lot for me to have children and we just met,” She cleared up any confusion. “Although that barbecue sauce does sound good. Wanna get some?”

“You’d be surprised.” He let out a sly laugh. “Oh? Is that so? I’d love to see just how good you are some time.” Jet was never one to turn down a drink, especially if a beautiful woman was involved. “Dancing, huh? Any particular style? Or are you more of a go with the flow kind of person?”
“Yeah... I would be,” Addie smirked at him. “I work every other night at the Roxys. That’s where you can catch me. I’ll make you a drink— on me,” She told him. “Contempary... sometimes hip-hop. But for the most part I dance to reveal myself and express emotions,” She confessed. “I’m Addie by the way. I moved back here a couple months ago. I was born here but was away for quite a long time.”

“I love vintage anything so you’re really speaking to my soul,” she put her hand to her chest. “If we do the Vegas thing, we can go for this cute all white look. Ripped white jeans, white band shirts, white daisy headbands. Either way, I’m sold.”
“See,” Addie smirked. “We are destined,” She said cooly. “Okay— now you’re speaking to my soul!” The blonde chuckled softly in agreeing with the brunette. “I could wear a little white jacket with a short white dress,” She imagined. “Oh,” Addie opened her eyes as she thought more. “And white thigh highs!”

dex:
It was just another average day for Dex as he walked around the streets of Brighton, snapping photos with his camera like he always did right before the sun started to set. Golden Hour, his favorite time of day. What he didn’t expect as he was adjusting his shot was that he’d focus in on a very familiar, blonde blast from his past. Dex wasn’t used to the sinking feeling he was experiencing as he lowered his camera and locked eyes with her, her voice too nostalgic. “Addie?” he asked, though already knowing for certain it was her and wanting so badly to turn on his heel and avoid the situation. He cleared his throat as he looked down to the ground and stepped cautiously toward her. “What are you doing here?”
The camera. Addie had been the subject of many of Dex’s photographs... yet this was distinctly different. “Me? I uh...,” She said nervously biting her bottom lip. Adeline Gilbert nervous? Never. The effect he seemed to have on her was one she didn’t even understand. “I moved back to stay with my father,” Her voice was quiet as she sank her hands into her pocket. “He has a heart condition,” Addie continued and pressed her lips together, trying to find salvia had that left her mouth completely. She should have thought about seeing Dex, should have foreseen this happening. Yet with the stress it hadn’t even entered her mind. “You look good,” She said quietly as she adjusted her eyes to look up.

Ghost from the past | Dex & Addie
When Addie had moved back to Brighton after being away for several years she hadn’t really put thought into what she might encounter when she came back. One of those unfortunate things was Dex Ramirez. Addie couldn’t describe the way she had felt when she first felt Dex. Her heart fluttered quicker than she was used to and she seemed to understand her unlike anyone else. Sure the blonde was harsh sometimes and stubborn as hell but Dex seemed to see past that, unlike anyone else. Their romance had been quick, filled with passion and lust. But as soon as she left Brighton once again their promise of a “long distance relationship” went up in smoke. The ghost effect that Dex had left had broke Addie’s heart. A vulnerable part of her emerging and other parts of her shut away.
Addie had been walking back from a shift at the bar when she saw him. Her blonde head jerked up as her eyes collided with his. “Dex,” She said nervously. They were the only words that found theirselves out of her mouth. Her blue eyes stared intensely as she hoped her brain would catch up with something to say. ( @dex-ramirez )

“I’ll keep that in mind. I might just have to have some of these on me at all times so I can woo ladies everywhere I go.” He chuckled at the idea. “And what’s your talent?”
“Not that you need help with that— i’m sure,” Addie smirked and turned her head to the side playfully. “I’m a wicked bartender,” She replied with a confident nod of the head. Although then she lowered her shoulders like she was going to tell a secret. “But really... I love to dance.”

Addie pressed her lips together and chuckled as she poured the man another drink. “See... I never believed people when they told me it was the perfect job,” The bartender chucked. “That sounds rough...” She pointed out. “This one’s on me,” Addie told him as she placed the drink in front of him.
“Whoever said being a teacher is worth the pain has never had to mark one-hundred and fifty french essays that read like a bad wikipedia entry from back in the day.”

“I’m not only an artist on canvas, but an artist in the kitchen,” Luna raised her brows then chuckled. “Yup, those garlic fries were in fact made by yours truly. Just let me know when the ceremony is.”
“Aren’t you fancy,” Addie replied as she returned the raised eyebrows. “August,” She teased. “We can go thrift shopping for dresses,” The blonde continued the joke. “That or go get married in Vegas.”
