When I was three there was a car that always parked in the same spot. One day we got home to find the car in a different spot, I just looked up and go “The car is not in its designated position” to which my dad turned to my mum and went “You’re not allowed to talk to the kids anymore”. For some reason he didn’t want his toddlers using big words (or he was just peeved because he didn’t know what designated meant).

story time: i taught my little cousin her first longer word when she was very young. i taught her to say “tax benefits”. and to this day my aunt still doesn’t know where she got it from, but it was a hilarious sight to see a little toddler waddling around the house, wearing a big diaper, all the while yelling “TAX BENEFITS!!!!”

Couple updates.

First being I turned 30!

The sash says Birthday Princess, I borrowed it from a friend who was celebrating her b-day as well. This was at swing dancing so excuse the odd lighting, please. :)

What other news might there be?

This girl is going to the Steam Powered Giraffe concert in July.

Now, this will require a whole lot of driving (about 20 or so hours) but I'm sure it will totally be worth it (no pressure though ;) ).

So obviously I needed a new outfit which will consist of;

Which I'm adding a more glitzy version of Spine's spine to (there's an odd sentence)

Specifically this version.

With these stockings and then these shoes;

I'm still thinking about which bag to use/get.

Now to save up some fundage (this may shock you, but gas isn't cheap. Weird, I know).

So I made this vid last year as a gifty for someone. I've only ever seen an ep here or there. I'm not really a fan of the show but I am a fan of the people (they seem like a really cool bunch of peoples) so I thought I'd give making a vid of a show I've never really watched a go, why not? :)

And kind of spoiler if you're not up to date on the show, this ends up looking in memoriam even though I made it long before.

Why does Tumblr hate meh?

I've noticed that my carefully thought out out layout posts are looking pretty craptastic on mobile devices. Some GIFs don't show up and in other places they're out of order. Why Tumblr? Why you gotta mess with my (not so)hard work?

The internet has provided more GIFs (aka; I have run out of things to do while on a break from work).

This is a break from what I normally post so if I have any followers (*crickets chirp*) and you came here expecting more Noel Fielding goodness, uhm, I'm going to disappoint you. I'm sure I'll post more of him later but this blog thing is about my random interests/adventures so enjoy the ride. :)

An Automatonic Introduction

So, last week Youtube recommended I might be interested in a video. The thumbnail was interesting (odd) so I clicked it.

This was that video:

And I've basically been hooked since then. Gotta say, loving this band is not an easy thing to do. Not because they aren't awesome (they are) but because just as I had found a bunch of songs with certain members I find that they've changed. A few times. So, this post is going to be about them, their spendeferousness, and it might get long (I have GIFS and a lot of them).

 You got your pork rinds and sandwiches, than we're good to go.

First things first, meet the band, Steam Powered Giraffe (except for Upgrade, we'll get back to her).

There was also Upgrade;

But she left;

And so it was just the three lads;

Now to introduce you to the fellas.

First we have The Spine;

Then there's The Jon;

But he's gone now too;

Last but most definitely not least, we've got Rabbit;

To replace The Jon they called in Hatchworth.

 (spoilers:played by their drummer ;) );

Things were going well;

Then Rabbit malfunctioned and schematics were found showing him to have originally been intended to be a female automaton (to coincide with the performer's real life transition).

This is our Rabbit now;
