Here's to the Steven Universe episode that thought me peace, inner forgiveness and also scared the hell out of 17 year old me.
Okay in all seriousness Mindful is one of the most important episodes of SU to me. The impact its last two minutes had on me when I first watched it around September 2017 and how it affected my view on the show as a whole really caused a paradigm shift. No other episode in the show ever effected me as much on a haunting, emotional level as this, not even when Future featured similar elements. But its message was something I really needed at that time. It's one of the reasons why I resonated with Stevonnie so much back then. Who knew the episode that starts with Steven pulling a prank on Connie where he's bald would be so impactful?
