Important Update

Although I have been working these last couple of weeks on two fics, I’m afraid I cannot publish new fics or update ‘Where The Ocean Brings Us Back’

I have exams these upcoming weeks and I won’t be able to have time to write and edit and publish.

Once I come back, at the end of the month, I will update the next part of ‘Where The Ocean Brings Us Back’, I decided to add an extra chapter so instead of seven there will be eight chapters ;) only four more to finish :)

In addition, I have been working on a SasuNaru and a new SaneGen fic, so before or after I update, I will post one of those :))

I am sorry to leave for so long, I hope you all understand 🫶

New chapter of “Where The Ocean Brings Us Back”

Chapter 3 is posted!

Plot of the story: After finding out that his godson Genya has a relationship with his older brother Sanemi, Gyomei is willing to do anything to stop it in order to protect Genya, even if it meant to take him away with him.

Extract:

He thinks about other nights where he had to stay with Gyomei because his mom and siblings were away.

What if.. they were together without him and they just didn’t want him to be with them?

Has he ever done anything wrong? Was he annoying? Was he too clingy sometimes?

Did they like him at all? Or they were faking it all these years?

Did they ever like him? Love him?

He thinks, and wonders if they miss him, but if Gyomei is right, probably not.

He hopes Himehima is wrong, he hopes that his mom will call him in a few hours or days and beg Himejima to come back with Genya, maybe they will talk about everything and Genya will understand finally what is happening and Gyomei’s sudden attitude.

‘HAVE YOU SEEN ME?’ was written in big capital letters, above a picture of Genya’s smiling picture. She remembers when they took that picture, it was a month ago, when they went to the summer festival. Genya just won a big lion stuffed animal by shooting and his smile was so big and beautiful, that their mom didn’t hesitate on taking a picture.

Then, above the picture, his name was written ; ‘Genya Shinazugawa’.

Below it was just his data; his age, his remarkable physical description and height.

I was just aimlessly scrolling Pinterest and looking at manga panels etc and this one popped up, and I find it so significant that Sanemi uses his entire body to shield Genya. He’s not just directly stepped in front of him, legs straight and chin tall. He is actively knelt down, torso and legs tightened as he deflects and subsequently expects a blow to the body, a blow that otherwise would have hit genya.

Even after this, with the short conversation ensuing where Sanemi confessions his feelings of wanting to protect and keep him safe. He still remains in a defensive posture, weapon posed, eyes assessing the threat.

Years later with a river of blood between them, Sanemi’s first instinct when it comes to Genya facing danger is to throw himself in front of it, to save his little brother, to protect him. It’s quite literally beaten into his bones.
