https://www.instagram.com/p/CC_WoTEBwMu/ THANK YOU, TAYLOR! 🖤 O final de semana que passou foi difícil pra mim, porque teria sido o final de semana dos meus sonhos: dois dias de shows da @taylorswift​ aqui no Brasil, e eu estaria em ambos. Mas por conta da pandemia, eles tiveram que ser adiados para 2021 (o que é compreensível). Porém, começou a dar aquele medo de sempre de “esse dia nunca vai chegar?”. Entendam, em Dezembro completam 13 anos dessa espera. Eu não sei se vocês já gostaram muito de um artista, e já tiveram um sonho como esse, mas se a resposta for não, eu posso lhes afirmar, ver seu artista favorito de perto é TUDO! (Se eu pudesse, teria comprado pista premium para os dois dias, mas tive que me contentar com um, e o outro dia cadeira inferior.) Bom, mas por que “Obrigada, Taylor”? Porque ela anunciou há pouco, do nada, que irá lançar um novo álbum com 16 músicas, e um videoclipe. NESTA MADRUGADA! Então, “obrigada, Taylor!”, porque eu ainda nem ouvi, e ele já está sendo uma luzinha de esperança e felicidade (na minha vida, pelo menos) nesse momento de trevas. E considerando o histórico de cada um dos sete álbuns que sempre falavam diretamente comigo quando eram lançados, sobre aquele momento que estava vivendo, eu não tenho dúvidas que esse oitavo será exatamente assim! 🖤  Na foto, alguns dos meus itens de colecionadora (álbuns standard, deluxe e vinil). Tem vídeo novo no canal mostrando os itens da minha coleção. 💘 Queria todas as versões do novo álbum? Queria! Mas só Deus sabe quando isso será possível! 😭

Last weekend was really hard for me, because it would have been the weekend of my dreams: two days of @taylorswift​ shows here in Brazil, and I would be in both. But because of the pandemic, they had to be postponed to 2021 (which is understandable). However, this started to give me that usual fear of “will that day never come?”. You see, in December will be 13 years of that wait. I don't know if you guys liked an artist that much and you had a dream like that, but if the answer is no, I can tell you, seeing your favorite artist up close is EVERYTHING! (If I could, I would have bought a premium tickets for both days, but I had to settle for one, and the other day I will be in the chairs.) Well, but why “Thank you, Taylor”? Well, cause she announced today, out of nowhere, that she will release a new album with 16 songs, and a music video. IN THIS DAWN! So, “thank you, Taylor!”, Because I haven't even heard it yet, and this is already being a light of hope and happiness (in my life, at least) in this moment of darkness. And considering the history of each of the seven albums that always spoke directly to me when they were released, about that moment I was living in, I have no doubt that this eighth will be exactly like that! 🖤

KKW Edit: The "sex" quote as a compliment

Before I start, I wanna say I know the world is really messy right now, but honestly focus all my attention to the pandemic news while in quarantine was making me crazy. And as a swiftie for almost 13 years now, I felt very relieved the full conversation was leaked. I think is very EASY to the ones not affected (or benefited) by Kim's 2016 snapchat post to say this is "old news" or that "at this point in time feels very self-serving given the suffering millions of real victims are facing right now". And to be honest, what better way to kill time in this quarantine than understanding how Kim changed the narrative by editing the conversation? But to be clear, this post is NOT about hate, is about truth!

Since the (MAYBE*) full Kanye phone call video leaked, I thought of make this comparison, and I finally did. I downloaded the video with Kim’s Snapchats (from a YT video posted in July 18, 2016), and I cut it to find/put in the exact moment of the full version like a puzzle. 

For the many things that Kim left out of her snaps, seems like she tried to show that Taylor was complicated ok with the song. And we clearly see in the full video that was not the case. But this post is to talk about how Kim edited/posted the conversation to make it look like Taylor was saying that the line “I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex” sounded more “like a compliment”.

(First of all, from the YT videos posted in 2016 with Kim's snaps I only found with 3:04 tops. And the full video I only found with 25:50 tops. So if you saw some video with more than that let me know.)

Kim's snaps start with Kanye asking Taylor if she still got her Nashville number and she answer she still have the Nashville area code but changed the number (and this is why I think MAYBE is more of their conversation, 'cause in 25min50sec video this part of the conversation is nowhere to be found). Then the snaps show Kanye quoting the song to Taylor “For all my south side niggas that know me best I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex”, and then show Taylor saying “I'm like this close to overexposure”, to what Kanye say “Oh well this one is uh, I think this is a really cool thing to have” and Taylor agree saying “I know! I mean, it's like a compliment kind of” and laugh. And then the snaps go to the part where Kanye say “What I give a fuck about is as you as a person and as a friend, I want things that make you feel good, I don't wanna do rap that makes people feel bad”. Here is the snaps video (posted on YT in July 18, 2016).

From this snaps, seemed to me that after telling about this "sex" line in the song, he tried to justify he was not saying this like a bad thing, to what Taylor confirmed it was like a compliment, and he reaffirms that he wants things that make her feel good.

Honestly, I never understand why Taylor would say that this "sex" line was like a compliment. When I saw the snaps back then I thought Taylor was trying to be cool with Kanye after all their background and as they was finally friends.

BUUUUT in my puzzle work, I found out Kim posted this one (and only) part out of order. On the full video, we see Kanye and Taylor talking about T launching this song, and she says how people would criticise if she do it, how they were waiting for her to make something stupid, and then come the part where she says “I'm like this close to overexposure”, to what Kanye say “Oh well this one is uh, I think this is a really cool thing to have” and Taylor agree saying “I know! I mean, it's like a compliment kind of” and laugh. Immediately after that Kanye says the song have a line that Kim really didn't like and they tried to make it nicer and quote the song to Taylor “For all my south side niggas that know me best I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex”.

(PS: I marked as brown the part is the one snapchat part that I didn't find in the full video. I marked pink the snapchat part that was repeated, and yellow the one that was posted out of order on Kim's snapchat.)

On her comments on twitter about the leaked video, Kim insisted that she did not edited the footage, that she only posted a few clips on Snapchat to make her point and the full video that recently leaked doesn’t change the narrative. BUT it clearly does. 

Here is the definition of "editing":

ed∙it    /ˈedət/ noun a CHANGE or correction made as a result of editing.

She not only edited the footage, but Taylor's publicist words too:

So, after all this long post about how Kim tried to change the narrative, I leave you with the full video where I highlighted the parts that Kim posted on her snapchat.
