Heat treatment of EN31:
Heat treatment temperatures of EN31, which include of heating, cooling, and soaking times will range because of factors along with the shape and size of every EN31 steel element. Soak well at the selected temperature and soak for as a minimum 1hour according to 25mm of the total thickness. Cool slowly within the air.

Density: 7.81 g/cm3
Forging Properties of  EN31:
Heat slowly and start forging at a 100 to1050°C.Allow enough time at the forging temperature for the alloy steel to be thoroughly soaked through. Reheat as important and do not forge below 850°C. After forging EN31 alloy steel, cool slowly preferably in a furnace.
En19 steel is forged at around 926°C to 1205°C.
