The Perks of Being a Wallflower
The perks of being a wallflower is a 2012 coming-of-age movie. The movie stars some of the most popular young actors of this century such as Logan Lerman, Emma Watson, and Ezra Miller.
This movie left a huge impact to me because it tackles issues which are commonly experienced by teenagers like us.
This movie is very influential to me for I think representation of socially awkward teens in movies can really help people understand people who are experiencing the same things. It opened up issues about mental health to make people more aware about it.
This movie also made me love the coming-of-age genre which has shown me some of the best movies out there such as Lady Bird, Juno and more.
Here is the trailer of the movie:

Witch Trials
The video below is about the Witch trials that occurred during the past centuries in america, european countries, and their colonies.
I have learned that it is more than just the mass-hysteria, it is a game about genders, social classes, and gaining power in the society.
Some of them are just victims of power tripping of some high ranking officials and church officers.
With that I’ve learned how powerful equality can get and the peace it can give to humanity if we just accept it.

World War 2
This particular buzzfeed video led me to my new obsession. The video is about a holocaust survivor during the world war two.
After that, I probably watched a hundred more videos in Yad Vashem, a holocaust learning channel.
It also made me watch a lot of related movies like the Schindler’s list and the Pianist, and read a lot of books like the Night, etc.
I read a lot of conspiracy theories about the Nazis and the European wars.
I’ve learned that money and power can lead to the worst atrocities a man can imagine.

2.) Example of power of media in different fields
In Education
New media has the power to inform users different kinds of information. From news to random facts, and online publications. Media has the power to pass knowledge from one generation to the next, to inform them of anything that is useful. Media has the power to influence young minds, mold their way of thinking and their principles in life.
In Politics
Persons involved in politics can use the power of media to persuade the mass audience to vote them. Our country is democratic and this form of government highly emphasizes the power of the people inside the country. This makes the power of media to persuade a vital part of any politics campaign; we can always hear campaign jingles, see campaign flyers everywhere when it's the time for elections.
In Communication
Media has the power to send and receive messages from different users. It has the power to connect two persons of varying locations, origins, or even time. Media possesses the power to make or break a relationship in terms of communication. Media can sometimes take too long in sending a message, making the receiver think that they're not fun to talk to; however it can also forge relationships across distance.

Grit: the power of passion and perseverance
https://youtu.be/H14bBuluwB8
Grit is having passion and perseverance for long-term goals. It’s living your life like it’s a marathon, not a sprint. It’s what drives a person to continue through failures until they reach success. This video changed my way of thinking about studying, and learning itself. Learning, sure is hard, and I do feel stupid at first, but it’s something that is gradual and could take some time.
Stop searching for your passion
https://youtu.be/6MBaFL7sCb8
Passion is a feeling, not a plan. Feelings change, and you don’t have to be pressured into answering the domineering question, “what is your passion?/what are you passionate about?” It made me think that it’s okay to not know what you love doing right now. “Success fueled passion more than passion fueled success,” is something that I believe is a truth in this world.
How to gain control of your free time
https://youtu.be/H14bBuluwB8
“I don’t have time” often means “it’s not a priority.” This statement implies that time is a choice. When we choose and focus on what matters in life, time will stretch to accommodate it. This taught me how to manage my priorities properly and gave me an idea on which should go first in my schedules.

Video Title Saksi: Knife fish, namemeste sa Laguna de Bay
Gist Because of Bagyong Ondoy, the Knife fish, an ornamental fish that can be normally seen in aquariums, is carried to Laguna de Bay. Ever since it became a pest to the fisherman. A 10 kilos knife fish can eat 80 kilos of tilapia, bighead and bangus in its whole life. Knife fish also eats fingeflings of tilapia, bangus and bighead. After watching this and a lot more videos about invasive fish in our country, another example is the Janitor fish. This propel me to study Fishery in college. Someday I want to help the fisherman to combat this problem. Url https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=zOOdIrPN4bk
Video Title Fallen Angels. True cost of sex tourism: Philippines’ fatherless kids (RT Documentary)
Gist RT Doc visits Angeles City in the Philippines, an infamous and popular sex tourism destination. The city is home to many children conceived by foreign holidaymakers who took what they wanted and left offspring in their wake. I realize that I’m lucky that I have been blessed with a good family. A whole family that they don’t have. A family that they yearned for. I apreciate my mother and father more, their sacrifices and what they do to make mylife better.

Video Title Sea Turtle with Straw up its Nostril - “NO” TO PLASTIC STRAWS
Gist A male Olive Ridley sea turtle had a 10-12 cm plastic straw lodged in his nostril. The researcher use the pliers to remove the plastic straw in his nose. Heartbreaking isn’t it? This video let me think about all the plastic that I have thrown haphazardly. Yes, I’m not throwing it in the water, but I know in some way it will end up in there. After watching this video it make me rethink, I always pocketed or put the thrash in my bag and dispose it in the right place. It’s a small effort but atleast I’m not adding up to the problem. I also think that a little change is better than nothing at all.

Pop Tropical!
There’s nothing that could remind me about summer other than these tropical fruits. I’m sure everyone is familiar with pineapples and bananas because of their unique and organic shapes. These fruits are always the center of interest due to their warm and popping tones. This photograph shows its maximum fruitiness by its radial and asymmetrical balance. The summer colors of the fruits shows harmony with the earthly background. These fruits are indeed the most popular tropical fruits of all time!
