Numbers are just numbers.

Inline math just works. Parentheses for order of operations.

Strings you put in quotes - double quotes allow interpolation, single quotes don't. This is the same as sh.

All variables are prefixed with $s. Even when declaring them. This makes slightly more sense than sh.

A region in {squirrelly braces} gets the [scriptblock] data type. It's like a lambda but comprehensible by mere mortals.

if (test) {success} else {fail} - the test is always executed first because (). Success and fail conditions only depending on the test. They're script blocks. No weird special syntax, if may as well be a user function.

Functions can be named anything, but the convention is Verb-PlaceThing. Not case sensitive.

Named arguments are specified with a single hyphen, like MIT Unix software (xorg for instance). If there is only one parameter the name is optional, etc. Param names can be abbreviated as long as they aren't ambiguous. This is also easy to follow with your own functions, unlike in sh (fricking hate getopt).

Types are inferred dynamically because it's easier to write scripts that way. If you need to force something (variable, expression, whatever) to have a specific type, put it in [brackets] beforehand. The type names are the same as c# and every other post-algol language. For comparison, posix shell only has one type, String.

To make an array, @(item1, item2, etc)

Adding strings concatenates them together. Adding numbers adds their values. If this is not satisfactory, declare their types and it will work.

All expressions are technically objects with properties and methods. $var.property returns the value of that property. $var.invokeMethod() runs the method, which is just a function built into that data type by some poor intern 20 years ago.

Pipes (|) work similarly to sh, but transfer objects. The current object in the pipeline is always the variable $_.

COM is an old windows api. Com Objects are just instances of apps. We open internet explorer as a com object.

The parentheses sets that as an expression, and its return value _is_ the exploder. It has properties like visibility, which is $false by default. This is boring so set it to $true. Now we have a real working instance of an app they've been trying to remove for years, because they can't actually remove it merely hide it away. As long as the windows api can parse HTML, this will still work.

Pagi2 ketika udara masih sejuk, ketika langit masih teduh, ketika saat membuka jendela udara masih dingin, kenapa hati ini seringkali panas ya Allah. Kayak ada yg mau meledak-ledak di dalam dada. Padahal kan baru juga beres baca dzikir pagi.

Saat mau bikin sarapan, melihat sink tempat cuci piring yg berkerak dengan sisa-sisa cucian tadi malam yang belum diselesaikan. Banyak item2 yg sengaja ditinggalkan. Diantaranya malah yg mau dipakai masak seperti talenan, pisau, capitan, spatula, dan wok kesayangan. Jadi sebelum bisa masak, agendanya harus beresin sisa2nya dulu. Belum lagi tumpukan nasi2 basah yg menyumpal lubang pembuangan sink.

Saat masuk kamar mandi, ada onggokan celana kotor bekas anak yg belum selesai dibilas. Tidak jelas berapa hari celana ini sudah ada di sudut kamar mandi. Kalo dari baunya sih sepertinya lebih dari 3 hari. Dan tidak jelas siapa yg bertugas membersihkannya. Karena kalau dari kesepakatan chores, pekerjaan cuci-mencuci sudah ada kaptennya. Punya kulit yg super sensitif membuat saya tidak bs terlalu sering kontak dgn detergent. Oh lihat, handuk dan baju kotor yg disangkutkan ke gantungan dgn sangat asal, menambah kesemrawutan kamar mandi yg sempit ini.

Lalu saya ingin duduk di ruang tengah, tapi belum nyampe ke sofa kaki saya sudah kesandung gelondongan solatip, gumpalan2 solatip bekas yg lemnya nempel ke lantai, serpihan dus2 kecil yg menyatu dengan lego dan mainan yg berserakan. Menambah kemantapan rasa nyeri saat tidak sengaja menginjak lego menyebalkan itu. Seringkali saya hampir menginjak cutter tajam yg dalam keadaan terbuka di lantai T_T

Ada lagi meja bar yg lengket bekas cipratan kecap, kotor dgn remah2 makanan sisa tadi malam.

Jangan tanya kabar cucian kotor yg menggunung di samping pintu kamar mandi, tidak jarang baju kotor yg luber itu berjatuhan dan menjadi keset kaki basah.

Pagi2 di saat alam masih fresh, tidak dengan bagian dalam rumah kami. Dari ujung ke ujung rumah, tidak ada spot yg rapi. Pemandangan yg menyebalkan bagi orang visual+ADHD yg lg overstimulated.

Tapi sebenernya dari cerita di atas, yg bikin kesal bukan rumah yg berantakan. Yang bikin badmood adalah ketika saat rumah sekacau itu, tidak ada yg merasa terusik sedikit pun. Masing2 orang asik sendiri scrolling smartphone. Ada yg buka sosmed, ada yg buka youtube kids, bahkan ada yg belum bangun dari tidurnya, sudah bulak balik dibangunkan dari waktu solat subuh, tidak bisa bangun.

Tidak ada satupun yg merasa terganggu dengan kekacauan ini. Dengan bau di sink cuci piring dan kamar mandi. Dengan lantai yg lengket dan penuh sampah. Kecuali saya. Ini trigger pertama yg membuat saya gila.

Biasanya mereka mulai beranjak dari kasur saat perut sudah terasa lapar. Tidak jarang mereka kecewa mendapati meja makan masih kosong belum ada sarapan yg terhidang. Lalu dgn alasan lemas karena lapar, mereka balik lagi ke kasur. Rebahan lagi. Ini tinjuan ke-dua yg membuat saya gila.

"Katanya ibu itu Ratu di rumah, tapi seringkali realitanya malah mirip Babu" Asumsi seperti ini membuat kadar gila meningkat tajam. Dan sialnya sering mampir di pikiran saya :))

Kini, Saya jadi paham kenapa ibu saya paling galak di pagi hari. Ya, saya ngaku deh dulu saya adalah bagian dari orang2 yg sibuk sendiri, bukan cuma saya, ayah dan adik2 saya jg begitu. Kami kaum ignorant yg sok sibuk sendiri, tanpa melihat kekacauan di sekeliling rumah, tidak mengulurkan tangan membantu pekerjaan ibu yg ga ada habisnya. Maafin ya, Ma :'(

I'm trying to set up a page that shows different images when you hover over each line of text.

I have a pseudo-class set up to display an image when you hover over the text. That part is working. It disappears immediately on mouseoff, though, and what I need is for the image to either:

Delay for a couple seconds on mouseoff, or

Stay there until you hover over something else

The goal being that you can mouse down the list without it flashing horribly.

(nice-to-have but not the primary issue at hand: I'd also like to figure out how to make the image fade in; the transition in the tutorial was for some kind of 3d flip animation, which I found annoying and took out, but I haven't figured out how to replace it with an opacity transition)
