Yule is upon us! - 12-13-2022

Hello all! It’s been a very long while hasn’t it? I’m sorry for my absence and any pain that might have caused :)).

Okay now that apologies are out of the way lets get into Yule.

What is Yule?

Yule is a Pagan/Germanic holiday that marks the journey of the Sun King to bring light to our world. Days within this time period become longer and lighter as he makes his journey across our sky.

WHAT TO DO DURING YULE

Set intentions. align yourself with peace, love and happiness. Way you can do this is:

Enjoy a walk in the woods

share what you’re thankful for

kiss under mistletoe

Make offerings to Dionysus, Cerrunnos, Ishtar, Horned God, Orsis, Loki, and Persephone

8-7-2022 - Cleansing, Offerings, Job + Money Spells

hello all! it’s been a very uneventful summer but since it coming to a close and school is approaching for everyone- i thought it would be a good idea to cleanse, manifest and strengthen my bonds with my patrons.

So without further ado:

Career Success Spell

Needed

Cinnamon

Candles representing your patrons (or just white candles)

Basil

Dill

Coins or any other form of currency

Orange Peel

Rice

Add all these ingredients to a clean bowl, light your candles and allow to burn for 10-30 minutes or until your candles have completely melted. Also, don’t be shy and add some offerings to your patrons on the altar near the spell!

Cleansing your room!

Im using a piece of charcoal for loose incense. but all you need to do is light your charcoal surrounded by rocks or sand and wait for the ash to turn grey before adding your herbs. I’m going to use rosemary and cloves, (protection and spiritual, love and friendship).

I am absolutely fucking serious. The original meme, without the big red denial, is someone's attempt to fucking kill people.

There is NO SAFE DOSAGE of pennyroyal oil. Even Mother Earth News says there's no reason to use pennyroyal essential oil for ANYTHING, even topically or as a fragrance, for fuckssake! That should give you some idea about how dangerous it is!

Pennyroyal tea, plant matter in hot water, is a traditional abortifacient. It is *incredibly* dangerous, induces abortion by bringing the body close to organ failure (and frequently pushing the system right over the edge, because dosage is impossible to meter), but I would drink a gallon of it before I took a half-teaspoon of pennyroyal essential oil.

Two teaspoons, taken across 48 hours, has successfully killed someone.

Three teaspoons taken as a single dosage killed the consumer within THREE HOURS.

There is NO SAFE DOSAGE! FOR PENNYROYAL OIL INTERNALLY! NONE!

How to Make Herbal Pills

Herbal pills are easy to make and a great way to use your medicinal herbs. They're perfect for making your own blends to suit your needs, and all you really need are finely powdered herbs and honey. You can also add carob, cocoa powder, licorice, cinnamon, or anything you'd like to make them tasty as well as effective!

Recipe from Herbal Academy

Place your powdered herbs in a bowl and mix with honey to make a stiff dough.

Break off small bits of your dough and roll into balls. Optional: Roll the pills in the powdered herbs, carob, cinnamon, or cocoa powder to give them a finished look and extra flavor.

Place your pills in the fridge for a while to harden them up.

Store in glass jars in the fridge. Refrigerated pills will last about 3 months, but powdered herbs lose effectiveness over time.

Herbal pills are typically chewed or sucked on until they break apart and can be swallowed. You can swallow herbal pills whole, but they can be a choking hazard especially if you roll them bigger! You can also dissolve your pills in hot water/herbal tea and consume them as a drink.

Successful Job Interview Spell

I just completed this spell for a friend who has a job interview tomorrow, to help give them confidence and make a good first impression. Here's what I used.

Materials:

Tealight candle

Rosemary

Bay leaf

A penny

Tarot deck

Process:

I took the tealight candle out of the metal holder and placed the penny in the bottom.

I took five cards from the tarot deck;

The Emperor, for authority

The Ace of Pentacles, for financial success

The Fool, for new beginnings

The Magician, for the skills to succeed

The Star, for confidence

And placed them around the tealight candle one at a time, stating their purpose.

I lit the candle and placed a few rosemary leaves in the melting wax for protection against negative energy.

I wrote my intention on the bay leaf: "[Friend's Name] will get a job offer soon." Then I burned the bay leaf using the flame from the tealight candle. (Have a bowl nearby to drop the leaf in in case it catches fire quickly, don't burn your fingers!)

I visualized my friend at their interview tomorrow, then getting the job offer, then starting their new job. I did this until I could see the penny underneath the melted wax.

5/5/2022 - Purple Dead Nettle Tincture

A purple dead nettle tincture for all your medicinal needs! Remember! Tinctures are 100% edible, just dilute them with tea and take in small doses.

Needed

Purple Dead Nettle leaves (at least three off the the plants, leaves in abundance really, as many can fit your jar, it doesn’t really matter)

A jar (for this recipe i used a small 45ml jar i had lying around)

Vodka or an ingestible cooking alcohol

Intructions

Fill your jar with however many leaves you want, (you can leave them whole or cut them up) leave a little space at the top of the jar

Fill the jar with vodka till it covers the leaves completely

Seal tightly and shake.

Leave in a dark area for up to 6 weeks, shaking whenever you remember to.

Hello! so i found some purple dead nettle in my grandmas back yard and immediately asked her if I could take some. She let me have them because they’re technically weeds but they are extremely useful.

Medicinal uses

- anti-inflammatory, anti-bacterial, astringent, diuretic, and anti-fungal. Leaves can be rubbed in your palm to release the liquids in the plant, you can place the leaves on small cuts and bug bites.
